CHEBANSE -- Visitation for Lucille Burling, 93, of Chebanse, will be from 2-6 p.m. today at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton, and from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at the United Church of Christ in Chebanse. Revs. Dennis Brayman and Richard Sova will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Chebanse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Church of Christ Organ Fund.
She died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Miller Healthcare Center in Kankakee.
Mrs. Burling was a homemaker.
She was born Aug. 11, 1909, in Chebanse, the daughter of William and Myrtle Law Irps. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Lloyd Burling, whom she married
March 2, 1932, in Chebanse, died Nov. 23, 1973.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd D. "Butch" and Roberta Burling of St. Anne; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Lawrence Seibring of Chebanse, Marilyn "Pat" and Gerald Hubert of Martinton; 12 grandchildren, Ronald, Douglas, Steve and Scott Seibring, Kim Hubert, Debra Salm, David and Eric Hubert, Kathy Marcotte, Jan Armstrong, Julie Martin and Douglas Burling; and 25 great-grandchildren.
One sister is deceased.
Mrs. Burling was a member of the United Church of Christ in Chebanse for over 60 years. She had played the organ at her church for civic and school functions and countless funerals at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. She had also played in a dance band for many years and for the United Workers and the Missionary Society at her church. She was also a member of the Chebanse Womens Club.
Frances Faires

NEOGA -- Frances Catherine Faires, 95, of Neoga, formerly of Kankakee, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lone Tree cemetery in Lone Tree, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Christian Village, 101 Trowbridge Rd., Neoga, IL 62447.
Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Faires was a schoolteacher and taught for seven years in Wapello and Tipton, Iowa.
She was born Oct. 10, 1907, in Wapello, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Anna Shipman Vandevort.
Her husband, Eugene Faires, died in August 1965.
Surviving are three sisters, Harriet Fisher of Spencer, Iowa, Rowena Peterson of Des Moines, Iowa and Dorothy King of Fond Du Lac, Wis.; one daughter, Mary Heinrich of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Catherine Faires of Oak Park, April Lee of Oakland, Joel Faires of Westfield; and three great-grandchildren.
One son and one sister are deceased.
She graduated from Iowa State which is now the University of Northern Iowa.
Mrs. Faires was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she was in charge of sewing on Tuesdays at the church.
David Haga

ELWOOD -- David L. Haga, 78, of Elwood, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Revs. David Lagos-Fonseca and Shirley Pulgar-Hughes will officiate.
Burial will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Memorials may be made to the Elwood Community Church.
Mr. Haga owned and operated Haga Heating and Air Conditioning for many years.
He was born Aug. 8, 1924, in Greenup, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Haga.
Surviving are his wife, Cecelia; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ed and Linda Haga of Wilmington, Ron and Betty Haga of Dwight, William Haga of Louisiana; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one uncle, Frank Haga of Greenup; and several cousins.
Two daughters, Dorothy and Esther in infancy, are deceased.
Mr. Haga was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and a member of the Greenup VFW.
Bernice Iverson

Visitation for Bernice W. "Rabbit" Iverson, 67, of Bourbonnais, will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at New Jerusalem Seven Day Adventist Church in Bradley, where she had been a member. Rev. Leroy Coleman will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.

She died Wednesday (Jan. 8, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Mrs. Iverson had been a cook at Good Shepherd Manor in Momence. She had sang at nursing homes around the communities.
She was born April 9, 1935, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of Chester and Victoria Moore Helton. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Willie Iverson Sr., whom she married
Feb. 1, 1958, in Chicago, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Margaret Williams of Bourbonnais, Willie Jr. and Crystal Iverson of Kankakee; one sister, Cordie M. Walsh of Bourbonnais; one brother, Elijah Moore of Kankakee; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one uncle, Tommie Hunt of Markham; and nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousin, Emmalyn Howell.
One brother, Bennie; and special aunt, Zephyr Hunt, are deceased.
She loved writing and singing.

May Y. Reilly, 87, of Kankakee, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at her home after a sudden illness.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Alvin Riemann
RAYMOND -- Alvin Earl Riemann, 76, of Raymond, and the father of a Bourbonnais resident, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 2003) at his home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Zion Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. in Farmersville. Rev. Kenneth Tegtmeier will officiate.
Burial will be in Asbury cemetery in Raymond.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. in Farmersville or to the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance Service.

Mr. Riemann was a farmer from 1954 until his retirement in 1989.
He was born March 20, 1926, in Farmersville, the son of Edward and Annie Johanna Cutter Riemann.
Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn Irene Waterman, whom he married
Oct. 21, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church M.S. in Farmersville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Ellen Riemann of Farmersville, Randall and Diane Riemann of Raymond, Darin and Deana Riemann of Atwater; two daughters and sons-in-law, Allyn and Mike Armour of Raymond, Karen and Brian Smietanski of Bourbonnais; 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Two brothers, Everett and Galen Riemann; and one sister, Dorothy Viehland, are deceased.
He was a 1944 graduate of Farmersville High School.
Mr. Riemann was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. in Farmersville and an active volunteer at church.
He was also a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau.
He enjoyed traveling.
Harvey Roberson

Visitation for Harvey R. Roberson, 86, of Bourbonnais, will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Revs. John Story and John Mohler will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.

He died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.
Mr. Roberson was a retired plumber.
He was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of John and Bertha Ginter Roberson.
His wife, the former Ruby Stone, whom he married
Aug. 19, 1939, died in February 1997.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Connie Roberson of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Rose Sargent of Chatsworth; two sisters, Esther Trusdale and Ruth Bueter, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one brother, Mark Roberson of Moultrie, Ga.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
One son, Rick Roberson; and one granddaughter, Debbi, are deceased.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Franklin Stark

WILMINGTON -- Franklin "Don" Stark, 79, of Wilmington, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at the Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington. Rev. Mark Strothman will officiate.
Burial, with military rites, will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Research.
Mr. Stark was a retired cattle broker at the Chicago Stockyards.
He was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Chicago, the son of Mary and James F. Stark. His father is deceased.
Surviving are his wife, Rita; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Patrick Egan of Orland Park; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Yolanda Stark of Chicago, Ronald and Cindy Stark of New Lenox; his mother; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and John Crawford; and eight grandchildren.
One granddaughter, Renee, is deceased.
