Lillian Trnka
BEECHER -- Lillian L. Trnka, 97, of Beecher, formerly of Oak Lawn, died Friday (Jan. 10, 2003) at the Anchorage of Beecher.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ, 9411 S. 51st Ave., Oak Lawn, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery of Chicago.
Memorials may be made to the church or to the Anchorage of Beecher, 1201 Dixie Hwy., Beecher, IL 60401.
Arrangements are by the Zimmerman and Sandeman Memorial Chapels, Oak Lawn.
Mrs. Trnka was a longtime piano teacher on the south side of Chicago.
She was born Jan. 16, 1905, in Chicago, the daughter of John Jesse and Amalia Roth-Jesse.
Her husband, Arthur F. Trnka, died in 1985.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. John E. Sr. and Shirley Trnka of Newburgh, Ind.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Arlene L. Armstrong of Lake Zurich, Judith P. and Rev. Clyde Lange of Grant Park; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One sister; two brothers and one son-in-law, Rev. Herbert Armstrong, are deceased.
Mrs. Trnka was active in various ministries at the Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ of Oak Lawn.
She was a 50 year member of Waldeck Chapter 579 OES.
Donald Buck
Visitation for Donald A. Buck, 82, of Bourbonnais, will be from 4-8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. wake service, at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais, where he was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to Maternity BVM Catholic Church.
He died Saturday (Jan. 11, 2003) at his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Buck retired from Conrail in 1983. He had been the caretaker at Maternity BVM cemetery.
He was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Martinton, the son of Theodore and Anna Hedenriech Buck. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marie G. Stolarski, whom he married
April 21, 1945, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Kankakee, of Bourbonnais; one son, Dennis Buck of Dwight; one daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Rod Herring of Bourbonnais; one sister and brother-in-law, Fern and John Reitmeyer of Terre Haute, Ind.; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Edith Buck of Des Moines, Iowa; and one grandson, Andrew Buck of Chicago.
One daughter, Sandra Buck, is deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Bradley VFW and the Bradley American Legion.
He loved to golf.
Cynthia Dancy
Services for Cynthia Violet Dancy, 54, of Kankakee, were held Jan. 9 at Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Kankakee. Rev. Howard Wills Sr. officiated and Rev. Jesse L. Jackson delivered the eulogy.
Ms. Dancy died Jan. 4, 2003.
Burial was held Jan. 10 in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory cemetery. Pallbearers were Leavell Dancy, Rashan Hughes, Lamont Brown, Gary Phillips, Julius Brown, Alvin Phillips, Jason Gatewood and Yusef Jackson.
Lizzie Love
Services for Lizzie M. Love, 63, of Kankakee, were held Jan. 11 at Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church, Kankakee. Rev. Allan Roundtree Sr. officiated.
Mrs. Love died Jan. 5, 2003.
Burial was held Jan. 13 in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood. Pallbearers were Lariece Love, Naamon White Jr. Marcus Green, David Williams, Kenny Staples and Robert Shannon.
Alfred Rogers
MILFORD -- Services for Alfred W. Rogers, 80, of Milford, were held Jan. 11 at the Milford Christian Church. Revs. Neil Larimore and Gary Milton officiated.
Mr. Rogers died Jan. 7, 2003.
Burial was in Sugar Creek cemetery in Stockland. Pallbearers were Richard Crook, Danny Birch, Andy Lane, Rich Wilken, Lowell Newbold and Chris Simpson. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Benner, Matthew and Marc Johnson, Brandon Mullen, Ryne and Jerod Haxton and Zachary Woodby.
Janice Denault
GRANT PARK -- Janice Lee Denault, 58, of Grant Park, died today (Jan. 13, 2003) at her home, after a long illness.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the 7 p.m. services at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence. Rev. Christopher Pratt will officiate.
Private burial will be in Union Corners cemetery in Grant Park.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Mrs. Denault retired from Baker and Taylor Book Co. after 22 years of service.
She was born May 25, 1944, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Elmer F. and Velma Trubach Schultz. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Paul Denault, whom she married
Dec. 5, 1981, in Grant Park, died Aug. 5, 2002. She was previously married
to Gene Bushman.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Connie Johnson and Cindy and Jim Bales, all of Momence; four stepdaughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda and William Jadron of Bonney Lake, Wash., Paula and Thomas Routson of Kankakee, Sheryl Dreeke of Paducah, Ky., Denise and Zachary Allen of Ft. Worth, Texas; two stepsons, Kevin Denault of DeKalb and Kenny Denault of Buena Park, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Denault was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grant Park.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafts and painting.
Blanche Harwood
CRESCENT CITY -- Blanche Morton Harwood, 83, of Crescent City, died Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) at Carle Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Crescent City United Methodist Church, where she was a member for over 60 years.
Burial will be in Flesher cemetery.
Mrs. Harwood helped on the family farm in many ways including making and serving thousands of meals for hungry farm workers.
She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Gilson, the daughter of Rev. E.B. and Susan Estella Schenck Morton.
Surviving are her husband, Ward Harwood, whom she married
June 28, 1941, of Crescent City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jim Dexter of Crescent City, Joy Harwood and Craig Jagger of Chevy Chase, Md.; two brothers, Eldon Morton of White Bear Lake, Minn., John Morton of Oxford, England; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One son, David Harwood and one brother, Bill Morton, are deceased.
She graduated from El Paso High School and completed two years at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Mrs. Harwood was a member of the Crescent City United Methodist Church for over 60 years and took a special interest in helping the many student ministers who served the Crescent City church. She also did volunteer work in the Telecare-Volunteer Services Office in Watseka.
She loved to sing.
Aubrey Justice
MILFORD -- Aubrey "Dick" Justice, 81, of Milford, died Saturday (Jan. 11, 2003) at St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point, Ind.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.
Burial, with military graveside rites by the Watseka American Legion and VFW, will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Milford.
Memorials may be made to the Milford Ambulance or to the American Leukemia Association.
Mr. Justice farmed near Milford for 42 years.
He was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Scottsville, Ky., the son of Lawton and Mabel Pruitt Justice.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Harness, whom he married
Feb. 22, 1943, in Chicago, of Milford; two daughters, Carol Justice of Champaign, Candice Justice of Crete; one granddaughter, Kim Hamer of Sidell; two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Justice of Aurora.
One grandson, Bryan Huckleby, is deceased.
Mr. Justice was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II.
He was a Fighting Illini fan and enjoyed reading and bicycling.
William Karrels
PEOTONE -- William T. Karrels Sr., 72, of Peotone, formerly of South Holland, died Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) at his home.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Wednesday until the 7 p.m. services at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel in Peotone. Deacon Tom McCarthy will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Benedict cemetery, Crestwood.
Mr. Karrels was a security guard with ISM.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Chicago, the son of Theodore and Jane Weatherhead Karrels.
His wife, the former Harriet Ross, died in 1991.
Surviving are one son, William T. Karrels Jr. of Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Bill Heintz of Peotone; and five grandchildren.
Clyde Rabideau

Clyde L. Rabideau, 91, of Kankakee, died Saturday (Jan. 11, 2003) at Provena Heritage Village.
Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Senesac Kankakee Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, where he was a longtime member. Rev. Charles Wheeler will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist cemetery in L'Erable.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mr. Rabideau was the owner/operator of the Rabideau Grain Elevator in Kankakee for 52 years until his retirement in 1990.
He was born March 11, 1911, in Clifton, the son of Louis and Ellen (Rabideau) Rabideau.
Surviving are his wife, the former Antoinette M. Marcotte, whom he married
Sept. 14, 1940 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in L'Erable, of Kankakee; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marcia Rabideau of St. Anne; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dr. Karen and Dr. Tom Cleary of Houston, Texas, Linda and John McCarthy of Santa Ana, Calif., Nancy Rabideau of Bradley; one sister, Edna Warmbir of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Leroy, Elza, Raoul and Omer Rabideau; and one sister, Oleida Ponton, are deceased.
Mr. Rabideau was a member of the Holy Name Society at his church; a Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree; and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed playing euchre and gardening.
