Karen Jensen
preschool director

FISHER -- Karen Ann Jensen, 56, of Fisher, and the relative of area residents, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) at Carle Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove, Rantoul.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Rantoul. Rev. Jeffrey Laible will officiate.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Rantoul.
Memorials may be made to the Sunshine Christian Preschool in Fisher.
Mrs. Jensen worked at the former Adler Zone Center in Champaign in the 1970's where she taught deaf children and their parents the American Sign Language. She began working at the Sunshine Christian Pre-School in Fisher in 1984 and was made director in 1997 and worked until her death.
She was born Sept. 11, 1946, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Leon and Mary Hogan Bourgal. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Jensen, whom she married Nov. 27, 1971, in Savoy; one son, Rudolph Jensen of Champaign; one daughter, Gillian Jensen of Fisher; one brother, Joseph Bourgal of Theresa, N.Y.; and three sisters, Bernadette Campos and Jennifer Heffernan, both of Foosland and Denise Stalter of Gibson City.
She attended nursing school in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was trained as a mid-wife.

Madolin Kietzman

Visitation for Madolin Byron Kietzman, 96, of Momence, will be from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the 10 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Kankakee, where she was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Kankakee, is in charge of arrangements.
She died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) at Momence Meadows Nursing Center.
Mrs. Kietzman was a former employee of Joyce Religious Goods in Joliet where she worked for 10 years.
She was born March 20, 1906, in Peru, Ind., the daughter of Phillip and Nancy Bennett Byron.
Her husband, Theodore W. Kietzman, whom she married May 3, 1926, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, died Dec. 15, 1989.
Surviving are one son, Theodore P. and Alyce (Burke) Kietzman of Pinehurst, N.C.; two daughters, Joyce Kietzman Pohlman of Oklahoma City, Okla., Karen Kietzman of Joliet; one brother, Edward Byron; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Two daughters, Nancy Byron Kietzman and Mary Jo Yanchick; two sisters, Gertrude Rogers and Betty Moore; and one brother, Phillip Byron, are deceased.
Mrs. Kietzman was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church of Joliet.

Carolyn Liberty

WATSEKA -- Carolyn Guill Liberty, 84, of Watseka, died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) at the Livingston Manor Nursing Home in Pontiac.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial service will be held at noon Sunday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Watseka.
Mrs. Liberty had been employed as a secretary.
She was born Aug. 1, 1918, the daughter of Enos E. and Christina Herlan Guill.
Her husband, Esmund Liberty, whom she married in December 1954 in California, died in March 2000.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, William and Ruth Guill of Watseka; and three nephews, Dan Guill of Marietta, Ga., and Darwin Guill and Mark Guill, both of Watseka.
She attended New Holland, Ill. public schools and Springfield Business College.
Mrs. Liberty moved to Watseka from California in July 2000.

Lizzie Love

Visitation for Lizzie Mae Tucker Love, 63, of Kankakee, will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church. Rev. Alan Roundtree Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Arrangements are by Lax Mortuary in Kankakee.
She died Sunday (Jan. 5, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Mrs. Love had worked at General Foods and as a switchboard operator at Aldens Department Store.
She was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Crawford, Miss., the daughter of Rass and Josephine Morgan Tucker.
Surviving are her husband, Albert Love, whom she married Dec. 17, 1955; three daughters, Diane Love-White, Patty Love Thompson and Tasha Catrice Love, all of Kankakee; two sons, Alvin Love of Kankakee, Master Sgt. Tyler Love of the U.S. Army stationed at Annapolis, Md.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Willie Tucker and Mose and Eve Tucker, all of Flint, Mich.; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Annie and Bennie Powell and J.C. Orr, all of Flint, Mich., Mattie and Clarence Gregory of St. Louis, Mo.; other brothers and sisters-in-law, Hill and Margie Love of Crawford, Miss., Annie Williams of Kankakee and Susie Tripplet of Columbus, Miss.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special friend, Lizzie Samuels; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
One brother and sister-in-law, Earnest and Mary Alice Tucker; one sister, Bernice Orr; and one brother-in-law, Henry Love, are deceased.
Mrs. Love was a member of Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church where she served in the Ministry of Mercy, as a pastor's aide and on the kitchen committee.
She enjoyed sewing, helping others in need, fishing and cooking.

Wilbur Morgeson

MILFORD -- Visitation for Wilbur R. Morgeson, 90, of Milford, will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, and from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. services at the Milford Christian Church. Revs. Neil Larimore and Gary Milton will officiate.
Burial will be in Sugar Creek cemetery, Stockland.
Memorials may be made to the Milford Ambulance or to the Milford Christian Church, where he was a member.
Mr. Morgeson died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
He was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Rossville, the son of Walter J. and Ethel Cruisenberry Morgeson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel L. Watts, whom he married Dec. 22, 1935, in Rossville, of Milford; two sons, Robert Morgeson of Milford, W. Dean Morgeson of Mt. Zion; two daughters, Gloria J. Lienbach of Moose Haven, Fla., Judith Ann Atkins of Watseka; two sisters, Laverne Matthews of Hoopeston, Viola Diefenbaugh of Melbourne, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers; one sister; one grandson; and one great-grandson, are deceased.
Mr. Morgeson was a 50-year member of the Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 510, Milford, and a member and past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1001, Danville.
He was a past Lions member in Bradenton, Fla., and Milford.
He enjoyed making toy tractors.

Patricia Reedy

HOFFMAN ESTATES -- Patricia Reedy of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Bourbonnais and Kankakee, died suddenly Dec. 26, 2002 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
Services were held Dec. 30 at the Hallowell and James Funeral Home in Countryside.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Manor, P.O. Box 260, Momence, IL 60954 or to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange, IL 60525.
Mrs. Reedy volunteered for many years at the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop.
Her husband, Thomas D. Reedy, is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Lloyd Hatcher; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas D. and Hollie Reedy, J. Robert and Annabelle Reedy; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Patricia Tosch, is deceased.

Freda Schnepper

ONARGA -- A memorial service for Freda M. Schnepper, 83, of Champaign, formerly of Onarga, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Rev. James Small will officiate.
Private inurnment will be in the Gilman Mausoleum.
Mrs. Schnepper died Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2003) at Heritage House in Champaign.
She was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Lotus, the daughter of Casper and Reta Parker Schulte. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Carl Schnepper, whom she married July 27, 1936, in Lotus; one son and daughter-in-law, Carney G. and Kathy Schnepper of Mahomet; three grandchildren, Karl Schnepper of Bend, Ore., Karla Laymen of Gilman and Rhea Schnepper of Onarga; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth Healea of Bloomington, Alice Welch of Bellflower, Mary Harrison of Tucson, Ariz., Annabel Goolman of Winchester, Ky.; and one brother, Arkle Schulte of Rochelle.
She attended Lotus schools and was a member of the Women of the Moose in Gilman.

Virginia Stoots
unit director at Shapiro

Visitation for Virginia Ann Stoots, 52, of Bourbonnais, will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
She died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) at Loyola University Medical Center.
Mrs. Stoots was an employee of Shapiro Developmental Center where she was a unit director for 20 years.
She was born July 13, 1950, in Starkville, Miss., the daughter of Odis and Tommie Jones Rish. Her father is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, David Stoots, whom she married Oct. 17, 1968, in Kankakee; one son, Jason Stoots of Bourbonnais; her mother of Bourbonnais; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Luke Dean of Atlanta, Ga.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Wilburn and Mary Lee Rish of West Point, Miss.
One brother, Terry Rish, is deceased.
Mrs. Stoots attended Kankakee Community College where she received an associate of arts degree and a bachelor of arts degree in administration from St. Francis College.
She enjoyed animals, reading and flower arranging.

Amanda Walthers
computer operator

HERSCHER -- Amanda Jo "Mandy" Walthers, 20, of Herscher, died Monday (Jan. 6, 2003) from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Scott Paisley will officiate.
Burial will be in the Bonfield cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Ms. Walthers worked as a computer operator at the Sears Warehouse in Manteno.
She was born Aug. 3, 1982, in Kankakee, the daughter of Terry and Judy Scott Walthers.
Surviving are two sons, Justin and Simon, both at home; her mother of Herscher; her father and stepmother, Terry and Donna Walthers of Kankakee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie and Sam Bradley of Bonfield, Susan and Scott Campbell of Kankakee; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ed and Laura Walthers of Flint, Mich., Terry Walthers of Herscher; two stepsisters, Kelly Green of Kankakee and Terry Ann French of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; paternal grandfather, Charles Walthers of Thorp, Wis.; special friend, Patrick Boudreau of Essex; 10 nephews and five nieces; and several aunts and uncles.
Her maternal grandparents, Edgar and Phyllis Scott; and paternal grandmother, Lela Walthers, are deceased.
She enjoyed chatting on the Internet.
