Services for Willie Mae "Rabbit" Fulton, 76, of Kankakee, were held Dec. 28 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. William H. Copeland Jr. officiated.
Mrs. Fulton died Dec. 21, 2002.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Skye and Antoine Felix, Micheal Barnett, Vincent and Stewart Williams and Damon Baker.
Mrs. Fulton was the daughter of Albert Short and Lou Ellen Ball.
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Geneva Dent; one grandson, Curtis Frank Jones; and two granddaughters.
Alma Hasselbring
CISSNA PARK -- Services for Alma S. Hasselbring, 96, of Cissna Park, were held Dec. 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cissna Park. Rev. Carl Janssen officiated.
Mrs. Hasselbring died Dec. 22, 2002.
Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery in Cissna Park. Pallbearers were Shawn Gaston, Dawn Jones, Kara Jolley, Corina, Candice, Carissa and Cynthia Hasselbring.
Gregory Gund
Services for Gregory L. Gund, 44, of Bradley, were held Dec. 27 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Rev. John Quinn officiated.
Mr. Gund died Dec. 23, 2002.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan, Chris, James and Jason Gund, Dave Horrell, Andy Zerites, Phil Preston, Ron Gebo and Aaron Christensen.
Theodore Patchett
Services for Theodore J. "Ted" Patchett, 55, of Kankakee, were held Dec. 27 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Kankakee. Deacon Joseph Cotugno officiated.
Mr. Patchett died Dec. 22, 2002.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Schmidt, Steve Francisco, Mark Lundahl, Louis Surprenant, Kirk and James Patchett.

A funeral Mass for Jon Paul "JP" Loiselle, 61, of Bradley, was celebrated Dec. 27 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Kankakee. Rev. Gregor Gorsic officiated.
Mr. Loiselle died Dec. 22, 2002.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee. Pallbearers were Dick O'Brecht, Jens Magensen, Bob Bossert, Mike Randazzo, Randy Ayers, Dave Johnson, David Boehme and Tom Sabinski. Honorary pallbearers were Don Baker, Gary Entwistle, Jerry LaFond and Russ Lindert.
William Schneider
A funeral Mass for William J. Schneider, 103, of Kankakee, was celebrated Dec. 28 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Herscher. Revs. Ronald Hart and Charles Wheeler co-officiated.
Mr. Schneider died Dec. 24, 2002.
Burial was in Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery in Herscher. Pallbearers were Robert Jr., Jeffery and Jason Schneider, Romey LeBeau, Gary LeCocq and Leon Malone. Honorary pallbearers were Adam and Chet Schneider and Johnny LeCocq.
Patricia Baker

Visitation for Patricia Ann Baker, 75, of Kankakee, will be from 8:45 a.m. Thursday until the 10 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where she was a member for 49 years. Rev. Charles Wheeler will officiate.
Burial will be in the L'Erable cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Masses at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

She died Monday (Dec. 30, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
Mrs. Baker had been a Realtor and a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Valparaiso, Ind., the daughter of Ezra and Mabel Gustafson Lemenager.
Surviving are her husband, Grover John Baker, whom she married
Feb. 1, 1946, in Valparaiso, Ind., of Kankakee; two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Irma Baker of Martinton, James M. and Denise Baker of Custer Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie L. and Arthur W. Licon and Jean E. and J. Keith Perry, all of Kankakee; seven grandchildren, Jason Licon, Elizabeth Perry, Jonathon Perry, Joseph Baker, Gabriel Baker, Michael Baker and Patrick Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Baker, Jadyn Baker and Reece Baker.
One brother, William Lemenager; and one sister, Barbara Lemenager, are deceased.
Mrs. Baker was a volunteer with the women of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
She enjoyed fishing, boating and the outdoors.

Visitation for Louis A. Beckner Sr., 72, of Bourbonnais, will be from 1 p.m. today until the 3 p.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Rev. Richard Pighini will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Parkinson's Disease Chapter.
He died Saturday (Dec. 28, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Mr. Beckner had been a production supervisor at Armstrong World Industries, retiring after 31 years of service.
He was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Bradley, the son of Robert and Velma Suprenant Beckner. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Zasada, whom he married
Nov. 11, 1955, in East St. Louis, of Bourbonnais; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lou Beckner and Dave and Cheryl Beckner, all of Bourbonnais; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Wayne Ruel of Kankakee; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard and Phyllis Beckner and Leonard Beckner, all of Kankakee; one half-brother, Ronnie Beckner of Springfield; four grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Ashley and Bryan Beckner, all of Bourbonnais; and several nieces and nephews.
One brother, Robert Beckner, is deceased.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Beckner was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing, golf and attending his grandchildren's school events.

Visitation for Mary Ann Berry, 52, of Kankakee, will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Lax Mortuary, Kankakee.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ. Elder Calvin Thomas will officiate.
Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
She died Tuesday (Dec. 24, 2002) at her home.
Mrs. Berry was a teacher at Lorenzo Smith and Ida L. Bush Schools in the Pembroke School District for 25 years. She served on the Hope House Board of Directors for seven years. She dedicated her life to the development and encouragement of youth.
She was born Dec. 28, 1949, in Concord, N.C., the daughter of Garland and Mary Parks Parker. Her father is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Willie Earl Berry, whom she married
July 2, 1983; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Derrick and Lorraine Berry of Ft. Jackson, S.C., Willie Berry Jr. of Kankakee; her mother of Kankakee; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosalin and Maniel Caffey of Kankakee; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Garland and Trina Parker of Wichita, Kan., William Parker of Kankakee, Ronald and Donna Parker of Bourbonnais; one granddaughter; two special friends, Seretha Parker and Priscilla Green, both of Kankakee; and several other relatives.
She was a 1968 graduate of St. Anne High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Barber-Scotia College, Concord, N.C., and her master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University, both in education.
Mrs. Berry was a member of Wilson Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ where she was a Sunday School teacher and worked with the youth of the church.
Thora Cain

RALEIGH -- Thora L. Cain, 77, of Raleigh, formerly of Kankakee, died Sunday (Dec. 29, 2002) at Ferrell Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Russell Helton will officiate.
Burial will be in the Raleigh Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Cain worked as a nursing assistant for 24 years for the State of Illinois.
She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Galatia, the daughter of Walter and Prudence H. Seyler.
Her husband, John L. Cain, died May 31, 1998.
Surviving are one son, Tim Cain of Castaic, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Brad Duncan of Eldorado, Linda and Bill Lemna of Kankakee; two sisters, Beatrice Starkey of Jacksonville, Fla., Pat Stratbucker of California; and three grandchildren.
One brother, Charles "Buddy" Seyler, is deceased.
Mrs. Cain lived in Kankakee for many years. She moved to California in 1972 and back to Eldorado in 1988.

COAL CITY -- Caden Reece Copes, infant son of Lance and Kristin "Krissy" Wills Copes of Coal City, died Sunday (Dec. 29, 2002) at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City. Rev. Mike Pennock will officiate.
Burial will be in the Braceville-Gardner cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg and Tiffany Wills and Chris and Toni Spencer.
Memorials may be made in his name to his parents for later donation to charities of their choice.
He was born Friday (Dec. 27, 2002) at Morris Hospital.
Surviving besides his parents are one brother, Carter Lane Copes at home; grandparents, Carole and Arden Wills Jr. of Coal City, Linda and Larry Copes of Leroy; great-grandmothers, Shirley Copes of Normal, Clara Tebben of Pekin; great-grandfather, Arden Wills Sr. of Coal City; aunts and uncles, Greg and Tiffany Wills of Coal City, Darin and Nikki Wills of Joliet, Troy and Tracy Anderson of Dwight; and five cousins.
His great-grandmothers, Ellen "Snookie" Wills and Marie Vilt; great-grandfathers, Wilmer "Bill" Tebben, Fred L. Copes and Frank "Cal" Vilt; and an infant cousin, Ryan Wills, are deceased.
