Arlene Sabella
DWIGHT -- Arlene Hahn Sabella, 84, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Dwight, died Monday (Dec. 16, 2002).
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Essex United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Revs. Daniel Harding and Stephen Lauricella will officiate.
Her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the Essex United Methodist Church or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dwight.
Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sabella had worked in clothing factories in Kankakee and Gardner.
She was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Essex, the daughter of Sidney and Minnie Aultz Hahn.
Her husband, Thomas Sabella, died in 1993.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and John Christensen of Fairbury, Shelby and Jack Putman of Essex; one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Richard Schlosser of Joliet; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Three sisters; four brothers; two great-grandsons and one great-great-grandson, are deceased.
Charlotte Shourd

A memorial service for Charlotte M. Shourd, 84, of Kankakee, formerly of Melbourne, Fla., will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 2, 2003 at Grace Community United Methodist Church, Bourbonnais.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
The Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
She died Monday (Dec. 16, 2002) at Miller Center.
Mrs. Shourd was self-employed as a caterer for 25 years. She had also worked for Samuels and Sears Department stores.
She was born July 13, 1918, in Kankakee, the daughter of Louis C. and Nina Harrison Fister.
Her husband, Ollie E. Shourd, whom she married
Jan. 21, 1936, died Oct. 5, 1997.
Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Gerald Dandurand of Parker, Colo., Sue and Jim Figg of Littleton, Colo., Deborah and Richard Barrone of Bourbonnais, Beth and Robert Warden of Arvada, Colo.; one sister and brother-in-law, Abigail and Alfred Spence of Mission, Texas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Francis Floyd Fister and Thomas Fister, are deceased.
Mrs. Shourd was a member of the Christian faith and Beta Sigma Phi.
Eddie Wells Jr.
Visitation for Eddie L. Wells Jr., 57, of Kankakee, will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Lax Mortuary, Kankakee.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church. His nephew, Rev. Michael Ringo, will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
He died Sunday (Dec. 15, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Wells had worked for the Pinnacle Opportunities Group.
He was born Aug. 12, 1945, in Lambert, Miss., the son of Rosie and Eddie Wells Sr. His father is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Gregory Bailey of Chicago; his mother, Rosie Stewart of Kankakee; one brother, Dave-Ell Stewart Jr. of Kankakee; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy and David McKinney and JoAnn Stewart, all of Kankakee, Francine Stewart and Marlene Stewart, both of Chicago; one godson; one goddaughter; his fiancee, Campanella James of Kankakee; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Two sisters, Elenza Wells and Vicky Stewart, are deceased.
He was a graduate of Harrison High School in Chicago.
Mr. Wells was a member of the First Fruit International Ministry in Momence.
He enjoyed watching baseball and football.
Tracy Borchers
GILMAN -- Visitation for Tracy Borchers, 96, of Downers Grove, formerly of rural Gilman, will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at the Danforth Reformed Church, where she was a member. Revs. Lindon Faul and Donald J. MacDonald III will officiate.
Burial will be in the Danforth cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Danforth Reformed Church Missions or Youth for Christ.
Arrangements are by the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
Mrs. Borchers died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, after a brief illness.
She was born March 24, 1906, in Danforth, the daughter of Jerry and Flora Perzee Koets.
Her husband, Leslie Borchers, whom she married
July 18, 1928, in Danforth, died June 12, 1988.
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Borchers of Glen Ellyn; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Borchers of Gilman; one grandson, Vaughn and Julie Borchers; one granddaughter, Dana and Paul Grosse; and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Byron; one sister; and two brothers, are deceased.
She was educated in the Danforth schools and had lived in rural Gilman from 1929-1989.
Donald Crichton

CARLINVILLE -- Donald H. Crichton, 77, of Carlinville, formerly of Wilmington and Braidwood, died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) in New Lenox.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Friday until the 7 p.m. Masonic service at the Freitag Funeral Home, Wilmington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.
Memorials may be made to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Mr. Crichton retired from Brockwell Industries of Rockdale and formerly worked at Western Tire in Joliet and Shell Oil in Wilmington.
He was born April 22, 1925, in Watseka, the son of James and Evelyn Field Crichton.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rose Hulbert; two daughters, Donna Graefen of New Lenox, Joyce Crichton of Wilmington; one son, Clay Crichton of Denver, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Weed of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Lawrence Crichton and John Crichton, are deceased.
Mr. Crichton was a veteran of the U.S. Army in military intelligence.
He was a member of the Wilmington Masonic Lodge 208 AF&AM.;
Everett Crouch

WATSEKA -- Visitation for Everett J. Crouch, 82, of Oakwood, formerly of Watseka, will be from noon Friday until the 1 p.m. services at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka. Rev. Joe Scheets will officiate.

He died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center, Danville.
Mr. Crouch retired from UARCO in Watseka after 20 years of service.
He was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Adel, Iowa, the son of Ray E. and Laura Twiselton Crouch.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ruthanna Butler, whom he married
Aug. 28, 1944, in Watseka, of Oakwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Crouch of Sandy, Utah; two daughters and one son-in-law, JoAnne and Mark Guymon of Danville, Susan Callahan of Westfield, Ind.; one sister, Helen Lair of Watseka; and six grandchildren.
Five brothers and two sisters are deceased.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran serving during World War II.
Mr. Crouch was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Watseka, and the Watseka American Legion.
He enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing.

Mr. Margrey was a retired farmer.
He was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Watseka, the son of Clyde S. and Vernita Colebank Margrey.

May 7, 1950, in Watseka, of Cissna Park; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Paul Hill of Danville; two grandchildren, Michael Paul Hill and Ashlea Vernitajane Hill; and one sister, Dorothy Jo Marshall of Otto, N.C.
One brother, Clyde Robert Margrey, is deceased.

Private graveside services will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Rev. Curt Boyer will officiate.
Cremation rites were accorded by Hertz-Thoma Crematory, Kankakee.
Mrs. Murray had been the office manager for Don McLain Ford in Manteno for 13 years.
She was born Jan. 6, 1946, in Kankakee, the daughter of Vernon and Corinne Shaper Pray. Her father is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald L. Murray, whom she married
Feb. 14, 1984, in Kankakee, of Manteno; three sons, Mark Kroll of Bradley, Donald Kroll of Bourbonnais, Scott Mullin of Manteno; one daughter, Julie Murray of Manteno; her mother of Kankakee; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Robert Lamb of Kankakee; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
One sister, Lois Pray, is deceased.
Mrs. Murray was affiliated with the Lutheran church.
