WATSEKA -- Visitation for Steven E. Wolford, 46, of Watseka, will be from noon Saturday until the 1 p.m. services at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate.
Burial will be in the Gaffield cemetery, Iroquois.

Mr. Wolford died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka.
He was born Sept. 16, 1956, in Kankakee, the son of Arthur Sr. and Ramona Brady Wolford. His father is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter, Devon Silms of Effingham; mother and stepfather, Ramona and James H. Williams of Watseka; and special friends, Jackie Trautbetter and Donna Rae VanHoveln.
One brother, Arthur Wolford; one sister, Yolanda Renee Wolford; and one son, Tracy Wolford, are deceased.
He enjoyed basketball, football and NASCAR racing.
Ruessell Bedford
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Ruessell Bedford, 88, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Dwight, died Monday (Dec. 11, 2002).
Visitation will be from 1-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Round Grove cemetery in rural Campus. Rev. Stephen Lauricella will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380 Building Fund.
Mr. Bedford was born Aug. 10, 1914 in Joliet, the son of Edward and Myrtle Poole Bedford.
Surviving are his wife, Esther E. Bedford of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, D. Wesley Bedford, and Edward J. Bedford, both of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews.
One sister, Oneita Griggs, is deceased.
Mr. Bedford was a member of First United Methodist Church of Malvern, Ark.
He was a retired electrical engineer for Commonwealth Edison Co.
He was a member of Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380, Diamondhead Men's Golf Association; and Nitecappers Club.
Mr. Bedford was a graduate of the University of Illinois.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Signal Corps, and enjoyed golfing.
Helen Benson
CULLOM -- Helen L. Benson, 97, of Cullom, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) at Livingston Manor in rural Pontiac.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the 2 p.m. service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom. Rev. Edward R. Stone will officiate.
Burial will be in West Lawn cemetery in Cullom.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom.
Arrangements are by Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom.
Mrs. Benson was born Nov. 14, 1905 in Rockford, the daughter of Fritz and Emma C. Erikson Lindgren.
Her husband, William E. Benson, whom she married
Oct. 26, 1935, died Nov. 17, 1979.
Surviving are two nephews, Arnold and Helen Stahl of Indianapolis, Ind., Gordon and Cynthia Stahl of Clive, Iowa; one niece, Marlene and Graydon Barz of Southport, N.C.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
One sister, Elsie Stahl; and one cousin, Alfield Greenberg, who lived her entire life with the Lindgren family, are deceased.
Mrs. Benson attended Rockford High School and then graduated from Brown's Business College at Rockford.
She was employed for many years at American Beauty House and Rubin Emmerson Accounting firm in Rockford.
She left in 1952 to join her husband in farming in the Rockford and Belvidere area. In 1968 they moved to Missouri and then to Cullom in the mid-seventies.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cullom, and the Women of the ELCA.
Helen Kuffel
MANTENO -- Helen V. Kuffel, 93, of Manteno, formerly of Chicago, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) at Momence Meadows.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Private burial will be held.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home of Manteno Ltd.
Mrs. Kuffel was born Oct. 23, 1909 in Chicago.
Her husband, Simon J. Kuffel, whom she married
Nov. 11, 1938 in Chicago, is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Norman Wettstein; and three grandchildren, Laura and Mallick Aaron of Bradley, Holly and Jim Boettger of Bourbonnais, and Matthew Wettstein of Conway, Ark.; and five great-grandchildren.
Five brothers; and one sister, are deceased.
Mrs. Kuffel was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Manteno, and loved baking, playing cards and Bingo.
Vernon Plante
MANTENO -- Vernon Plante, 91, of Manteno, formerly of Herscher, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. today at the Herscher Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Herscher. Rev. Richard Kostelz will officiate.
Burial with Military Honors by the Herscher American Legion will be in Pilot Township cemetery in Herscher.
Memorials may be made to the church for Masses.
Mr. Plante was born March 5, 1911 in Pilot Township, the son of George and Minnie Renville Plante.
His wife, the former Nelda Bossert, died Nov. 11, 1966.
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Phyllis and Harold Gregoire of Herscher, Sandra and George Lowe of Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Zelma and James Bowers of Kankakee; two brothers, Elwin Plante of Manteno, Orville Plante of Watseka; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Antoinette Rabideau and Donna Reiniche; four brothers, Leroy, Milton, Eldon and Len Plante; and one stepson, Ronnie Bauer, are deceased.
Mr. Plante was a janitor and school bus driver for Herscher High School for 20 years, and also worked for the State of Illinois as a Civil Service employee.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Herscher; a former member of the Lions Club, and a member of the Herscher American Legion.
Karin Rahn
CLIFTON -- Visitation for Karin L. Rahn, 61, of Clifton will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at United Church of Chebanse. Rev. Dennis Brayman will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Chebanse.

Mrs. Rahn died Wednesday (Dec. 11, 2002) at BroMenn Regional Health Center, Normal.
She was born Aug. 23, 1941 in Kankakee, the daughter of Roy S. and Jean M. Francoeur Stone.
Her husband, Durl W. Rahn, whom she married
in May, 1971 in Kankakee, died April 28, 2002.
Surviving are one daughter, Lori Hopson of Bourbonnais; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Pam Rahn of Washington, Guy and Lori Cunningham of Maryville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jeff and Gail Stone of Aroma Park, Dave Stone of Kankakee, Jim and Sylvia Stone of St. Anne; one sister, Diane McArdle or Worth; her parents, Roy and Jean Stone of Kankakee; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Rahn was a member of United Church of Chebanse, and enjoyed knitting and playing the piano.
Gertrude Baldwin
WILMINGTON, Del. -- Gertrude H. Rolston Baldwin, 90, of Wilmington, Del., formerly of Kankakee, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) at Christiana Hospital.
Services and burial will be held at a later date.

Her husband, Cyril J. Baldwin, died in 1987.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Rica Baldwin of Wilmington, Del.; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and David Harper of Northfield, Ill.; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
One son, Arthur, died in 1981.
Mrs. Baldwin was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
She was involved with the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
Francis Beaupre
WW II vet
Visitation for Francis E. Beaupre, 80, of Bradley, formerly of Momence, will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotter Funeral Home in Momence, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Vernon Arseneau will officiate.
Burial with military rites provided by the Momence Honor Guard will be in St. Patrick cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
Mr. Beaupre died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.
He was born March 9, 1922 in Momence, the son of Archille and Delphine Hebert Beaupre.
Surviving are his wife, the former June Jensen, whom he married
April 5, 1942 in Momence, of Bradley; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Nancy Beaupre of Bourbonnais, Dale and Julie Beaupre of Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and nine sisters, are deceased.
Mr. Beaupre was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Momence.
He was a World War II veteran, serving as a U.S. Army medic.
He was a retired carpenter for Central Illinois Transport of Kankakee.
He was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
