WILMINGTON -- Chloe Bernadine Boyd, 92, of Wilmington, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Friday (Dec. 13, 2002) at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.
Private services will be held at Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Mrs. Boyd was born April 15, 1910 in Kellettville, Pa., the daughter of Danie Webster and Barbara Ellen Forbes Edmiston.
Her husband, Lorna D. Boyd Sr., is deceased.
Her son, Lorna D. Boyd Jr. of Wilmington survives.
Floyd Frost
GODLEY -- Floyd "Cappy" Frost, 62, of Godley, formerly of Wilmington, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) in Morris.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m., and services at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Burial with military honors will be in Oakwood cemetery, Wilmington.
Mr. Frost was born Oct. 6, 1940 in Wilmington, the son of Henry and Ethel Mansfield Frost.
Surviving are his wife, the former Caroline Mikel; two sons, Benny Moore, and Troy Moore; two grandchildren; two sisters, Francis Allen of Wilmington, and Sadie Hoke of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and three sisters, are deceased.
Mr. Frost was a member of Wilmington Masonic Lodge 208 AF & AM, and the Wilmington Moose Lodge 241.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Sandra Hank
SALEM, Ore. -- Visitation for Sandra J. Hank, 60, of Salem, Ore., formerly of Kankakee, will be from 2-8 p.m. today at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem, Ore.
A memorial service is planned for Wednesday afternoon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem.
Mrs. Hank died suddenly Dec. 9, 2002 at her home in Salem, Ore.
She was born in Des Moines, Iowa. Her mother, Leona B. Radford, is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Hank, whom she married
in 1971, of Salem, Ore.; one sister, Rose Marie Robbins of Winterset, Iowa; four nephews; and one niece, Tamara Buono of Bradley.
A long-time resident of Kankakee, Mrs. Hank was active in St. Patrick's Parish, KVT, Marriage Encounter, and on CB radio was known as "Hanky Panky."
She was a representative of D.H.I.A., serving area milk producers, which led later to more responsible positions in Arizona, Virginia's Shennandoah Valley and finally in Salem, Ore.
She was general manager of the Willamette Valley Dairy Herd Association, president of the Polk County Dairy Women's Association, and liaison between D.H.I.A. and the American Dairy Goat Association, as well as other positions involved in dairy production and recordkeeping.
Marlene Keip
ROCKFORD -- Marlene Keip, 68, of Rockford, formerly of Cullom, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at P.A. Peterson in Rockford.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fitzgerald & Associates Funeral Home Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. in Rockford, with a 7:45 p.m. rosary service, and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Entombment will be at Calvary Catholic cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Mrs. Keip was born May 13, 1934 in Cullom, the daughter of Joseph and Mabel Algoe Hahn. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, James L. Keip, whom she married
June 12, 1954 in Cullom, died July 5, 1995.
Surviving are her children, Cynthia and Joseph Avendano, Thomas and Nikki Keip, and John and Cathy Keip, all of Rockford, James J. and Doreen Keip of Roscoe, and Patricia and Patrick Pearse of Loves Park; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Keip was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a former singer with the Bonnie Bells.
She was active with Holy Family events.
Romain Lafond

BEAVERVILLE -- Romain A. Lafond, 73, of Beaverville, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home in St. Anne, with an 8 p.m. wake service.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Beaverville. Rev. Robert Coleman will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund or for Masses.
Mr. Lafond was born Dec. 3, 1929 in Beaverville, the son of Philip and Flora Dionne Lafond. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Bill Reynolds of Beaverville, Ellen Mae and Rex Hall of Tipton, Ind.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Viator and Joanne Lafond, Kenneth and Virginia Lafond, all of Beaverville; 19 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
One brother, Leonard Lafond; and one niece, Jane Ellen Hall, are deceased.
Mr. Lafond was a lifetime farmer in the Beaverville area.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Korea and Battle of Bunker Hill.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Beaverville, the Beaverville American Legion Post 877, and Clifton VFW, Post 2131.
He enjoyed truck pulls.
Shelby LaReau
BEAVERVILLE -- Shelby Marie LaReau, infant daughter of Cory and Lana LaReau, of Beaverville, died shortly after birth Sunday (Dec. 15, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the 10 a.m. service at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Tom Wilber will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Surviving in addition to the parents are one brother, Trenten Andrew LaReau of Beaverville; grandparents, Teri Magruder, Linda Watts, George Moiser, Bob and Valerie Watts; great-grandparents, Joy Bilyard, Oneil LaReau, Henry Moiser; godparents, Robyn and Duane Bilyard, and Jeremy Scolley.
Her great-grandparents, Milton Bilyard and Billie LaReau, are deceased.
Jesse Miller
Jesse Wilford Miller, 82, of Kankakee, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Private services will be held Wednesday. Rev. Paul Mount will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born Feb. 12, 1920 in Thebes, Ill., the son of Delbert and Ella West Miller.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Henrietta McCrite, whom he married
May 17, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Mo., of Kankakee; one daughter, Dr. Karen Anne Miller of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one granddaughter, Maliha Anne Shah of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Miller graduated from schools in Tamms, Ill.
He was employed by Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria.
He entered the service from Peoria Dec. 12, 1942. He served in the Field Artillery until his discharge Feb. 12, 1946 as Staff Sergeant.
Upon his discharge he went to work at the then Dixon State School in the Engineering Department and was transferred to Shapiro Developmental Center in 1956 as Assistant Chief Engineer, retiring as Chief Engineer in 1983.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Kankakee.
Mr. Miller was a 55-year member of Friendship Lodge No. 7 in Dixon, and a member of International Operating Engineers.
He liked antiques, especially antique clocks, and watching both the Chicago Bulls and Bears.
He was a good and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Claude Snapp
WW II vet
MOMENCE -- Visitation for Claude E. "Bud" Snapp, 86, of Momence, will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cotter Funeral Home in Momence.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Momence. Rev. Vernon Arseneau will officiate.
Burial with military rites provided by the Momence Honor Guard will be in St. Patrick cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Momence Honor Guard.
Mr. Snapp died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
He was born Feb. 13, 1916 in Momence, the son of Lee and Ruth Haslett Snapp.
His wife, the former Ann Page, whom he married
May 5, 1945 in Kankakee, died Jan. 1, 2000.
Surviving are one daughter, Julee Sikma of Momence; two brothers and one sister-in-law, George Snapp of LaCrosse, Wis., John and Virginia Snapp of Polson, Mont.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jane Rotondo of Bloomfield, N.J., Amy and Bob Gannon of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.
One brother; one sister; and one son, are deceased.
Mr. Snapp was a World War II veteran, serving in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific as an aircraft electrician.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Momence, and a past Commander of American Legion Post 40.
He was a retired auto mechanic for Roy Lang Olds, after 35 years, and enjoyed fishing.
Adelle Warriner
WILMINGTON -- Adelle Marie Warriner, 52, of Wesley Township, Wilmington, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) in Oaklawn.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Tuesday until the 7 p.m. service at Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Warriner was born May 19, 1950 in Joliet, the daughter of James and Jaye Romines Lauridsen.
Surviving are her husband, Stephan D. Warriner; five children, Robert L. III and Dyanna Swisher, Jeri Lynn and Jeff Blatti, Roy Swisher, Jennifer and Mike Swisher, Stephan Jr. and Karen Warriner; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Melodie Merritt.
Mrs. Warriner was employed at Carpy's Cove in Wilmington.
She enjoyed playing bingo and the Lotto.
