Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Church in River Grove, where she was a member.
Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, River Grove.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
She was born June 30, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Hattie Bell Daniels.
Her first husband, Frank Wager, is deceased.

Jan. 23, 1995, in Florida, of Kankakee; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra and Edward Iverson of Park Ridge, Sharon and LeRoy DalPorto of Montara, Calif., Bonnie Egan of Crystal Lake; one stepson and step-daughter-in-law, Howard and Susan Offen of Kankakee; one stepdaughter and step-son-in-law, Susan and Wally Sullivan of Bourbonnais; one sister, Lucille Lundberg of Park Ridge; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One son-in-law, Michael Egan, is deceased.

WILMINGTON -- Jean M. Sharkey, 80, formerly of Wilmington and Braidwood, died Sunday (Dec. 8, 2002) at the Deerbrook Care Center in Joliet.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Braidwood. Rev. Steve Bondi will officiate.
Burial will be in the North cemetery, Essex. Pallbearers will be Terry, David and Joe Barry, John Patrick Sharkey, Robert McElroy and Jonathan Knutsen.
Ms. Sharkey was formerly employed at the Joliet Arsenal for several years.
She was born June 14, 1922, in Ottawa, the daughter of George and Jeanette Scott.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Robert McElroy of Braidwood; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Kathleen Sharkey of Plainfield; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Kathleen and Janet; and one grandson, Mark, are deceased.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Wilmington and enjoyed crafts.
Jean Smolik
SOUTH WILMINGTON -- Jean L. Smolik, 51, of South Wilmington, died suddenly Sunday (Dec. 8, 2002) at Morris Hospital.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, South Wilmington Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Bob Maternoski will officiate.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Braidwood. Pallbearers will be Michael and Matthew Cacello, Monty Smolik, Tadd Gerrish, Shane Johnson and Glen Troutman. Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Sorensen, Tara Brooks and Angela Cacello.
Memorials may be made to the South Wilmington Fire Department.
She was born June 10, 1951 in Joliet.
Surviving are her husband, John "Jack" Smolik of South Wilmington; two sons, Jason and Jeff Smolik, both of South Wilmington; her father, Peter Cacello of South Wilmington; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Marcia Cacello of South Wilmington; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Her mother, Mercedes "Cedie" Pomatto Cacello, is deceased.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington.

DWIGHT -- Anna M. Rickey Behrens, 85, of Peoria, and the mother of Rev. Rickey of Dwight, died Sunday (Dec. 8, 2002) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.
Visitation, beginning with a rosary, will be from 4:30-7 p.m. today at the Wright and Salmon Mortuary, and from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Bernard Church, Peoria.
Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception cemetery, Lacon. Her son, Rev. James Rickey, will officiate.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, V. Frederick and Joy Rickey of Cornwall, N.Y., Rev. James Rickey of Dwight, Thomas and Patricia Rickey of Peoria; two daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica and David Murray of Portland, Ore., Mary and Richard Struben of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Behrens of Peoria; and one brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Julie Rice of Springfield, Mo.

Visitation for T. Chris Corsaro, 84, of Kankakee, will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.

Mr. Corsaro was retired from Azzarelli Construction and Ray J. Benoit Construction.
He was born March 20, 1918, in Springfield, the son of Russell and Mary Caruso Corsaro. His parents are deceased.
His wife, the former Florence Lanoue, whom he married
Feb. 12, 1947, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, died April 17, 1989.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Ron Strawson of Kankakee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Diane Corsaro of Champaign, Richard and Barbara Corsaro of Kankakee; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Pauline and Sidney Feller, Mary Sandidge and Angeline Rhodes, all of Springfield, Theresa Heeler of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Doug Corsaro, Scott Strawson, Christopher Corsaro, Amy and Dustin Kolwelter and Brent Strawson.
Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mr. Corsaro was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II with the 2nd Armored Division in the Africa campaign and Central Europe campaign. He received the Purple Heart, Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. He was a former member of the Kankakee American Legion.
He was a member of the Bradley Moose, and a member for 61 years of the International Laborers Local 751, of which he was the oldest living member.
Mr. Corsaro loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He was also a Chicago Bulls fan.

MANTENO -- Gerald W. "Bill" Ewers, 62, of Manteno, formerly of Momence, died Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Thomas Vent will officiate.
Burial will be in the Momence cemetery.

Mr. Ewers was a supervisor for Agar Packing Company in Momence and Chicago.
He was born July 23, 1940, in Chicago Heights, the son of Claude and Mary Fancher Ewers. His parents are deceased.

July 28, 1959, in Momence, of Manteno; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Thomas Vent of Manteno, Kathy and Dennis Schnell of Momence, Jennifer and Steve Bleyle of Bourbonnais; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deborah Ewers of Kentucky, Joseph and Sharon Ewers of Kankakee; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Bud" and Judy Ewers of Chicago Heights; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joan and Ray Doud, Joyce LaFond and Kay Lynn and Jim Merrill, all of Momence; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One brother is deceased.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Bourbonnais.
Mr. Ewers was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Mavis Hopper

Mavis B. Hopper, 80, of Limestone Township, Kankakee, died Sunday (Dec. 8, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Central Christian Church. Rev. Richard L. Sagarsee will officiate.
Burial will be in the Limestone Township cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church.
Mrs. Hopper was a member of Central Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years, was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship, worked with the dadiacontea committee preparing communion, and helped with church rummage sales.
She was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Orville and Elizabeth Meridith Brown.
Her husband, Edward J. Hopper, whom she married
June 6, 1942, in Perryville, Mo., died May 9, 1985.
Surviving are two sisters, Vera Drenna and Rose McDaniel, both of Mt. Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.
One sister, Alta Brown; and one brother, Clyde Brown, are deceased.
She was interested in birds, sewing, crocheting and enjoyed helping people.

COAL CITY -- Ernest R. "Roy" Lockwood, 91, of Joliet, formerly of Coal City, died Monday (Dec. 2, 2002) at Salem Village in Joliet.
Services were held Dec. 6 at Tezak Funeral Home, Joliet. Rev. Frank Koehler officiated.
Burial was in Elmhurst cemetery, Joliet.
Memorials may be made to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Mr. Lockwood was retired from Lockwood Furnace Co.
He was born in Coal City, the son of Ernest and Ellen Trehame Lockwood.
His wife, Dorothy Nelson Lockwood, is deceased.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Marguerite Pauley and Marilyn and Richard Sienko; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lockwood, David and Susan Lockwood and JoAnn Lockwood; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
One son, Rev. John Lockwood; one grandson, Russell Hohisel; three brothers; and two sisters, are deceased.
He was a life member of the Young American Club and the Dale American Club.

BONFIELD -- Christopher D. Sims, 39, of Bonfield, died Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at his home, after an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Dan Boone will officiate.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to Measotheloma Applied Research, the Christopher Sims Scholarship Fund, or to the Herscher Foundation.
Mr. Sims was president of Power Logistics.
He was born Dec. 14, 1962, in Kankakee, the son of Wayne and Eleanor Gropp Sims.
Surviving are his wife, the former Christine Christie, whom he married
Oct. 1, 1988, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Kankakee, of Bonfield; one son, Nicholas Sims at home; one daughter, Catherine Sims at home; his parents of Herscher; one brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Judith Sims of Naperville; great-aunt, Marjorie Pruett of Bourbonnais; two nieces, Michelle and Sarah Sims; and one nephew, Aaron Sims.
His grandparents are deceased.
He attended Eastern Illinois University.
Mr. Sims was a member of College Church of the Nazarene; several business organizations and several community organizations.
He enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with his family.

CARBON HILL -- Mary G. "Gen" "Pidge" Solley, 89, of Lockport, formerly of Carbon Hill, died Saturday (Nov. 30, 2002) at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 3 at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lockport.
Burial was in Resurrection cemetery, Romeoville.
She was born in Carbon Hill, the daughter of George and Sarah Moore Skeldon.
Her husband, Henry Solley, is deceased.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Geraldine Solley; two daughters, Mariene Comer and Shirley Hickey; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
One grandson, Stephen Solley; and brothers and sisters, are deceased.
She was a member of St. Dennis Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Lockport Golden Agers.
Albert Sylvester
Albert R. Sylvester, 87, of Bourbonnais, died Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Gerardi Funeral Home, Lincoln Hwy. and 95th Ave., Frankfort. Rev. Karl J. Koeppen will officiate.
Burial will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran cemetery, Tinley Park.
Mr. Sylvester was a retired heat treatment foreman at Rexnord Corporation in Dolton.
He was born April 15, 1915, in Germany, the son of Emil R. and Clare Dobelstein Sylvester.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carla Schilling of Bourbonnais; two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert Jr. and Judy Sylvester of Highland, Ind., Charles and Laura Sylvester of Plainfield; one daughter, Judith Sylvester of Hammond; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Elsie Sylvester of California; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
