Burial was in the Aroma Park Township cemetery. Pallbearers were Arnold, Robert, Kenneth, Everett, George, Cecil L. and Homer Smith Jr. and Glenn Hardy.

Services for Ronald E. Stanley, 65, of LaFayette, Ga., formerly of Kankakee, were held Oct. 13, 2003 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Martin Gutzmer officiated. Mr. Stanley died Oct. 8, 2003. Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Sells, Wes Shadowen, Jim Morris, Jim Landis, Dave Pippin and Wesley R. Shadowen. Honorary pallbearers were Lou Mansfield, Jeff Green and Michael Shadowen.
Adelyn Poskin
ASHKUM --Services for Adelyn Poskin, 88, of Ashkum, were held Oct. 15, 2003 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Rev. Neil Larimore officiated. Mrs. Poskin died Oct. 11, 2003. Burial was in the Ashkum cemetery. Pallbearers were Rich, Marc and Brian Poskin, Amy Lund and Jack and Zach Bright.
William Courtney

William O. Courtney, 85, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center, after an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Kankakee.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sts. Patrick and Teresa School.
Mr. Courtney retired from Mobil Chemical after 37 years of service.
He was born Aug. 31, 1918, in Bradley, the son of Joseph and Julia Corrior Courtney.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Link, whom he married
Aug. 20, 1938, in Crown Point, Ind., of Kankakee; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carol Courtney of Glen Ellyn; one daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Rodney Carlson of Campus; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One son, Richard Courtney; one granddaughter, Cathleen Carlson; three brothers and three sisters, are deceased.
Mr. Courtney served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines.
He was an umpire for local Little League and high school sports for many years and was a member of the Umpire Association.

DWIGHT -- Jeanette S. Rose, 84, formerly of Dwight, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 2003) at Hospice Care Center in Aurora, Colo.

DWIGHT -- Col. Earl G. Konrad, 83, formerly of Dwight, died Monday (Oct. 13, 2003) at Canterbury Healthcare in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
Arrangements are pending at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight.
Lyle Kurth
BEECHER -- Lyle H. Kurth, 55, of Beecher, died Tuesday (Oct. 14, 2003) at his home.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday, with an 8 p.m. wake service at the Hack Funeral Home in Beecher, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Tom Ewing will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Luke cemetery in Beecher.
Mr. Kurth was a pattern maker for Meridian Rail Services.
He was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Chicago Heights, the son of Vern A. and Bernice Wiggenhauser Kurth. His mother is deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Chad Kurth and his fiancee, Adria Huston of Bourbonnais, Eric Kurth and his fiancee, Shawn Evans of New Lenox; one daughter, Trisha Kurth of Elgin; his father of Beecher; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Sue Kurth of Wisconsin, William and Lynne Kurth of Munster, Ind.; and dear friend, Rosa Crosse.
Mr. Kurth served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Eloise Lindsay

Visitation for Eloise A. Lindsay, 78, of Bourbonnais, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
She will lie in state from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. services at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bradley, where she was a member. Rev. Craig Sagebiel will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth or to the donor's choice.
She died Tuesday (Oct. 14, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Mrs. Lindsay was a self-employed beautician for 26 years.
She was born March 10, 1925, in Aroma Park, the daughter of Trevlyn and Annabelle Kohl Riggs. She was raised by her grandparents, Anna and John Kohl.
Her husband, Thomas Lindsay, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Lindsay of Kankakee, Robert Lindsay of Ham Lake, Minn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Mark Gradberg of Limestone; two sisters, Phyllis Cox of Kankakee, Marjorie Waselewski of Chebanse; seven grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Diane Mathis of Bourbonnais.
Two half-sisters, Isetta Newcomb and Shirley Phifer; and one half-brother, Paul Riggs, are deceased.
She was a member of the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society and past president of the PTA in Bourbonnais.
Mrs. Lindsay was a Sunday School teacher at her church and a member of the Altar Guild.
She was a craft artisan and enjoyed growing roses.
LaVern Hahs
Services for LaVern Hahs, 82, of Bradley, were held Oct. 13 at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Derick Miller officiated.
Mr. Hahs died Oct. 7, 2003.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey Battrell, Ray Denault, Nick Gineris, Harvey Hackley, Bob and Leonard Martin, Larry Shourd and Leon Slovikoski.
Raymond Wolf
BEAVERVILLE -- Services for Raymond "Ray" F. Wolf, 70, of Beaverville, were held Oct. 13 at Immanuel Church of Christ in Papineau.
Mr. Wolf died Oct. 9, 2003.
