WATSEKA -- Graveside services for Deborah Faye Daniels, 56, of Richmond, Calif., formerly of Watseka, were held Oct. 12 at GAR cemetery in Watseka. Rev. Tom Novy officiated.
Ms. Daniels died Oct. 8, 2003.
Pallbearers were William Blind, Jerry Bogner, Benjamin and Jonathan Daniels, Rick Highfill and Gerald Yates.
Yvonne Lustfeldt
WATSEKA -- Services for Yvonne H. Lustfeldt, 72, of Watseka, were held Oct. 15 at the Baier Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Scheets officiated.
Mrs. Lustfeldt died Oct. 12, 2003.
Burial was in GAR cemetery, Watseka. Pallbearers were Christopher, Justin, Michael, Gordon L. and Vincent Lustfeldt and Dan Thomas.

CHEBANSE -- Thomas H. Brandenburg, 64, of Chebanse, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Burial will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr. Brandenburg was a retired hydraulic/electrical mechanic.
He was born Oct. 9, 1939 in Watseka.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ria Lueken, whom he married
Dec. 9, 1971, in Cook County, of Chebanse; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Tom Brandenburg of Chebanse, Mark and Karen Brandenburg of Alsip, Timothy Brandenburg of Harvey, Ronald and Kim Schaefer of Rice Lake, Wis.; one daughter, Kim Brandenburg of Chebanse; grandchildren, Tom Wisniewski of Alsip, April Brandenburg and Amanda Brandenburg, both of Mt. Greenwood, Mark Brandenburg Jr. and Nicole Brandenburg, both of Alsip, Andrea Brandenburg and Allyssa Brandenburg, both of Posen, Michael Freeston, Sarah Brandenburg and Clara Godsey, all of Chebanse and Joseph Rouch of Rice Lake, Wis.; and nieces and nephews.
His mother, Hazel Hoover; his father; one brother, William Brandenburg; and several half-brothers and half-sisters, are deceased.
Mr. Brandenburg served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Christian faith.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Melissa Brassard
MILFORD -- Melissa S. Brassard, 18, of Milford, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Milford High School, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Lee Ryan will officiate.
Burial will be in Sugar Creek cemetery, Stockland.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.
She was born April 25, 1985, in Watseka, the daughter of John D. Sr. and Susan Noel Brassard.
Surviving besides her parents of Milford are one brother, J.D. Brassard of Milford; paternal grandmother, Judy Brassard of Milford; and maternal grandmother, Clementine Noel.
She was a member of St. Edmund's Catholic Church in Watseka.
Miss Brassard was a 2003 graduate of Milford High School and was a freshman at Lincoln College participating on the volleyball team.
She was a 10-year 4-H member.

DANFORTH -- Lorraine E. Goldenstein, 76, of Danforth, died Sunday (Oct. 12, 2003) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion after a one-month illness.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman, and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at St. John's Lutheran Church in Danforth, where she was a member. Rev. James Gerth will officiate.
Burial will be in the Danforth cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary of Danforth or to the donor's choice.
She was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Leonard, the daughter of Frank A. and Elsie Peters Miller.

Aug. 17, 1947, in Danforth; one son, Steve Goldenstein and Teri of Danforth; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Janet and Charles Morris of South Fulton, Tenn., Gayle and Mike Miller of Sheldon, Teresa Pence and Bryan of Danforth, Julie and Terry Hummel of Watseka; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Aileen Miller of Watseka, Charleen and Donald Blair of Gilman; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Judy Miller of Onarga, Bob and Martha Miller of Mississippi, Ed and Judy Miller, Bill and Doris Miller, all of Gilman; two stepbrothers and one stepsister-in-law, Hack Muller of Sheldon, Glenn and Mary Jane Muller of Colorado; two brothers-in-law, Bill Carmichael of Gilman, Dale (Harriet) Goldenstein of Danforth; and one sister-in-law, Shirley (Vern) Rice of Montana.
Her stepmother, Florence; one sister, Elsie Carmichael; one sister-in-law, Ethyl Miller; one stepsister-in-law, Mary Mae Muller; one nephew, Mike Blair; and brother-in-law, Roger Goldenstein, are deceased.
She attended rural Grubb School and Gilman High School.
Mrs. Goldenstein was a member of WELCA of her church, the Iroquois County Home Extension Association and a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Danforth.
She enjoyed gardening and cross-stitch.

CHATSWORTH -- Stephen F. "Bud" Herr, 74, of Chatsworth, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 4:45 p.m. rosary service, at the Hager Memorial Home in Chatsworth.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Chatsworth, where he was a member. Rev. Richard Brunskill will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery in Chatsworth.

He was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Pontiac, the son of Stephen Henry and Marrie Ryan Herr.

MANTENO -- J. Norman Kolp, 81, of Manteno, died Sunday (Oct. 12, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Manteno, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Bob Grove will officiate.
Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery in Manteno.

Mr. Kolp was a retired train dispatcher for the Illinois Central Railroad.
He was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Mt. Pulaski, the son of Arthur C. and Irene Miller Kolp.

One sister, Lois Johnson; and one brother, Arthur Kolp, are deceased.
He served in the U.S. Army Corps, 401st Bomb Group and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Mr. Kolp was a member of the Christian Church of Manteno.
He was active with the Boy Scouts of America.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, where she was a member.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery in Bourbonnais.

She died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Mrs. Monik was a retired secretary for the local McDonald's Restaurants.
She was born June 16, 1938, in Blue Island, the daughter of Sygmunt and Maryann Celebuski Wilczewski. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Joseph A. Monik, whom she married
June 27, 1964, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Harvey, died Dec. 7, 1997.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Z. and Robin Monik of Crescent City; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary I. Monik and Debbie and Bob LeClair, all of Bradley; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Trisha and Casey Lawyer, all of Crescent City, Anthony Monik and Michael, Danielle and Meri LeClair, all of Bradley; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Delmar Provost of St. George and Frances and Gerald Reilly of Seminole, Fla.
Mrs. Monik was a member of the Council of Catholic Women at her church.
She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and her grandchildren.

WILMINGTON -- Earl L. Moore, 83, of Wilmington, died Saturday (Oct. 11, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the noon services at the Freitag Funeral Home in Wilmington.
Burial, with the U.S. Navy honor tribute, will be in the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Mr. Moore was a former employee of the Joliet Arsenal and was retired from Whitmore Ace Hardware after many years of service as a store manager in Wilmington.
He was born May 2, 1920, in Effingham, the son of John H. and Lillie N. Matthew Moore.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Perry of Custer Park; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three stepchildren, Joann, Darlene and Bob Colby; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Kye Moore of Nevada; seven sisters and five brothers-in-law, Juanita and Harold Boeckel of Washington, Doris Bushby of Effingham, Amy and Richard Bell of Mount Prospect, Ruth Ratliff of Plainfield, Kathryn and Glenn Wilde of Rolling Meadows, Rose and Bernie Kocko of Joliet, Joyce and Kent Richardson of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
Four sisters, Lois Riley, Mildred Bracken, Marie Webb, Nora Brewer; and one stepdaugther, Patricia Colby, are deceased.
Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a chief pharmacist mate.
He was a member of the Wilmington Mason Lodge 208.

Gerald H. Yonke, 87, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Oct. 12, 2003) at his home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 4 p.m. wake service at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he was a member. Rev. Richard Pighini will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Yonke had worked at A.O. Smith Corporation, retiring after 35 years of service. He was also a part-time farmer.
He was born Sept. 26, 1916, in Kankakee, the son of Fred and Lena Nephew Yonke.

Nov. 10, 1951, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington, of Kankakee; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Fred and Chris Yonke of Bourbonnais, Gerald J. Yonke of Kankakee; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Brad Memenga of Kankakee; one sister, Eleanor Lambert of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Yonke of Kankakee; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy and North Africa.
Mr. Yonke was a Kankakee County volunteer fireman.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the St. George American Legion and a board member of the South Wilmington Sportsman's Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
