Frances Bohl
GILMAN -- Visitation for Frances L. "Fran" Bohl, 75, of Gilman, will be 4-8 p.m. today at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman, and from noon Monday until the 1 p.m. service at the funeral home. Rev. Connie Williams Moodie will officiate.
Burial will be in Gilman cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Bohl died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at Glenshire Center in Richton Park.
She was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Gilman, the daughter of Frank and Blossom Buss Barney.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Bohl, whom she married
March 22, 1952 in Gilman; one sister, Millie Scudder of Clifton; three nieces and one nephew, including Judy Kimmel and James Scudder, both of Gilman.
One sister, Jessie Prewitt; and one brother, Elmer Barney, are deceased.
Mrs. Bohl waitressed in the Gilman area, working at the Dutch Mill, Moose Lodge and local Fish Fries.
She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the Gilman Eastern Star, Chapter of Women of the Moose Lodge, Chicago, the Gilman American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Gilman Rebekah Lodge.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and traveling.
Donald England
MILFORD -- Donald England, 58, of Milford, died Friday (Oct. 3, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. service at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Milford.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. England was born Sept. 15, 1945 in Hayti, Mo., the son of Roy Wesley and Violet Reeves England. His mother is deceased.
He married
the former Fayna Hart Sept. 15, 1962 in Hayti, Mo.
Surviving are his wife, the former Judy Haxton, whom he married
March 11, 1977, in Milford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Charles Fisk, Starla and Larry Blackburn, all of Milford, Donna and Tony Pitzer of Nahunta, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Jamie Pierce of Milford; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Roger and Becky England of Woodland, Paul England of Tennessee, Jerry and Lisa England of Milford; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen and Mike Godby of Milford, Linda and Leonard Bailey of Woodland, Peggy Deaton of Hoopeston, Jennifer England of Watseka; his father of Woodland; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
One brother, Jimmy England, is deceased.
Mr. England was a machinist for Geiger Truck Parts from 1984-1995.
Robert Frank
CISSNA PARK -- Services for Robert T. Frank, 74, of Cissna Park will be at 1 p.m. today at Union Church in Cissna Park. Rev. John Lang will officiate.
Burial will be in Cissna Park cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cissna Park Fire Department.
Arrangements are by Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.
Mr. Frank died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Cissna Park, the son of Carl and Judith Moser Frank.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jane Rogers, whom he married
June 11, 1950 in Cissna Park; one son, David Frank of Cissna Park; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Don Hamm of Mahomet, Diane and Brian "Nutz" Weber of Cissna Park; and four grandchildren.
Three brothers and one grandchild are deceased.
Mr. Frank was a member of Union Church in Cissna Park and a member of the church board.
He was owner/operator of Marathon Oil Bulk Gas Truck for 23 years.
He was a trustee of Pigeon Grove Township for over 30 years, a member of the Cissna Park Fire Department for over 40 years and served as department treasurer. He was president of the Cissna Park cemetery Board for many years, served on the Cissna Park Village Board for many years and was a member of Knights of Pythias for 50 years.
Mary Klug
Mary A. Klug, 82, of Bourbonnais, died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Monday until the 2:30 p.m. service at Provena Our Lady of Victory. Rev. Joseph Tremonti will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Scattering of cremains will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery at a later date.
Ms. Klug was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Hungary.
Surviving are her many special friends at Bourbonnais Terrace and Provena Our Lady of Victory.
Ms. Klug attended Maternity BVM Catholic Church in Bourbonnais.
She enjoyed praying and playing bingo.
Erma Sorenson
Visitation for Erma Sorenson, 87, of Kankakee, will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the 10 a.m. services at the Bradley Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Sorensen died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at ManorCare Health Services.
She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Parkston, S.D., the daughter of Peter and Amanda Schultz Holmberg.
Her husband, Clifford Sorenson, whom she married
May 11, 1940, in Luverne, Minn., died April 29, 2001.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Janie Sorenson of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Sharee Williams of Bourbonnais; one brother, Pershing Holmberg of Apple Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Three brothers; two sisters; and one grandson, Aaron Sorenson, are deceased.
Mrs. Sorenson was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais and Immanuel Baptist Church in Kankakee. She taught Sunday School for 25 years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking and nursing home activities.
Thelma Striegel
Services for Thelma Pearl Striegel, 91, of Kankakee, were held Oct. 3, 2003 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. Martin Gutzmer officiated.
Mrs. Striegel died Sept. 29, 2003.
Burial was in the Aroma Park cemetery. Pallbearers were David Klopfenstein, Edward Zopf, Blake Palmateer, Carl Haslett, Bill Bukowski and Gary Buckman.
Margaret Rudin
CISSNA PARK -- Services for Margaret N. Rudin, 94, of Cissna Park, were held Oct. 3, 2003, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. Ministers of the church officiated.
Mrs. Rudin died Sept. 30, 2003.
Burial was in Apostolic Christian cemetery in Cissna Park. Pallbearers were Craig, Gerald, Charles, Gary, Marty and Arlyn Rudin.
Paulette Newman
Services for Paulette Elizabeth Newman, 53, of Richfield, Minn., formerly of Kankakee, were held Oct. 2, 2003, at Lax Mortuary, Kankakee. Rev. Lawrence Coleman officiated.
Mrs. Newman died Sept. 24, 2003.
Burial was in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Ewing, Darrick Brooks, Benyard Jones, Marlon and David Hetherington, and Kevin Amphy.
Lorraine Walls
MANTENO -- Lorraine Walls, 76, of Manteno, formerly of Chicago, died Friday (Oct. 3, 2003) at Provena Heritage Village.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Manteno, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Joseph Tremonti will officiate.
Burial will be in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Walls was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Anna Jusaitis Walnousky.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Nowacki of Morris; one granddaughter, Trisha Goodwin; and one great-grandson, Jarrett Goodwin.
Mrs. Walls was a retired line forman from Joslyn Manufacturing.
She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed doing ceramics and Kennel Clubs.
Imogene LaFaber
Imogene "Jean" LaFaber, 85, of Kankakee, died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Jim Kenison will officiate.
Mrs. LaFaber was born May 23, 1918, in Rockville Township, the daughter of Harry and Nellie Leisure Gordon.
Her husband, Richard LaFaber, whom she married
March 3, 1961 in St. Anne, died in December 1996.
Surviving are five daughters, Bev Davis, Janice Hoffner and special friend Chuck O'Brien, all of St. Anne, Elaine Phillips, Sandy and Dale Kelly, all of Kankakee, Joyce and Tom Prince of Bradley; one son-in-law, Howard Krick of Kankakee; 25 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Glenda Harrawood; granddaughter, Brenda Bowers; grandson, Joey Regnier; great-great-grandson, Zachary Woods; stepdaughter, Paula Krick; sons-in-law, Chuck Davis and Norman Phillips; three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. LaFaber loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
Berneice Mayhood
retired floor supervisor
MARTINTON -- Berneice E. Mayhood, 91, of Martinton went to be with her heavenly Father and her husband, Russell, Sept. 29, 2003.
She was born Sept. 8, 1912 to Wilson and Lucille White in Effingham. She married
Russell Mayhood Jan. 13, 1934 in Effingham. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1989. Ten brothers and sisters have also passed away, along with many other family members.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday officiated by Pastor Robert Guilford. Following the services Mrs. Mayhood will be laid to rest at the Evergreen cemetery in Chebanse.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Food Pantry or to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Mayhood was a floor supervisor for Mortell's in Kankakee for many years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren.
She will be remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Tom Caise; grandchildren Lisa and Mark Miramontes, Angi and Tim Ahrens, Sindi and Christopher Blanchette, Lucas Sorensen, Destini Sorensen and William Caise; great-grandchildren Marco, Olivia, Tyrece, Tyra, Alec and two more on the way; sister Betty Gardner of California; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, John and Melba Mayhood of Mattoon and Eunice Mayhood of Effingham, and one special niece Jackie Schutte of Stewardsville.
Bessie Conn
centenarian dies
ONARGA -- Bessie C. Conn, 107, of Onarga, died Monday (Sept. 29, 2003) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Onarga United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Charles Shelquist will officiate.
Burial will be in the Onarga cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Onarga Methodist Church or to the Thawville Congregational Church.
Mrs. Conn was a school teacher for many years.
She was born July 31, 1896, in Thawville, the daughter of Herman and Nellie Caylor Diercouff.
She married
Leo Changnon in 1918.
She later married
Leon Conn March 10, 1951. He died Nov. 14, 1983.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Rolland Perry of Sterling, Va.; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Ronald and Bonita Conn of Onarga; three stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, Eloise Fisher of Colorado Springs, Colo., Doris and Jack Jones of Springfield, Reta and Don Benson of Thawville; one niece, Marilyn Harvey of Thawville; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, James and Ray Diercouff; one sister, Edna Hanna; and one stepson, Leslie Conn, are deceased.
She was a Cubs fan.
