Services for Doris C. Rutledge Baron, 64, of Bradley, were held Sept. 20 at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Rev. John Antczak officiated.
Mrs. Baron died Sept. 12, 2003.
Burial was in the Limestone cemetery. Pallbearers were Delbert and Fred Rutledge, Louis and Todd Baron and Scott and Tony Kuriger.
Lucille Heusing
GRANT PARK -- Services for Lucille Heusing, 81, of Grant Park, were held Sept. 22 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park. Rev. Beverly Zell officiated.
Mrs. Heusing died Sept. 19, 2003.
Burial was in Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. Pallbearers were Kevin Lietz, Maynard Struple, Mardele Engleking, Rich Dulin, Fred Kurth and Harry Heusing.

Russell L. Peters, 74, of Bradley, died Sunday (Sept. 21, 2003) at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. George Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Mr. Peters was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 36 years of service.
He was born April 16, 1929, in Kankakee, the son of Arthur and Mary Elizabeth Reneau Peters.
His first wife, the former Doloras Falkenhan, whom he married
Aug. 6, 1949, died Nov. 19, 1975.
Surviving are his wife, the former Georgia Inman Embree, whom he married
in July 1984, in Decatur, of Bradley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Peters of Kankakee, Jeff Peters of Rantoul; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Scott Owen of Indianapolis, Ind.; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Michelle and Randy Berg of Bourbonnais; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mickey Yarno of California, Betty and Dick Duncan of Kankakee; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ozzie and Jackie Peters of California, Clifford "Butch" and Beverly Peters of Champaign, Fran Peters of California, Leo Peters of Chicago; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One brother, Donald "Peter" Peters, is deceased.
Mr. Peters served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Merlin Pietraszewski
Visitation for Merlin E. Pietraszewski, 93, of Bradley, will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery, Aroma Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
She died Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.
Mrs. Pietraszewski had worked at Bear Brand Hosiery and had been a waitress.
She was born Feb. 25, 1910, in Kankakee, the daughter of Thomas and Lillian Scott Walters. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Matthew Pietraszewski, whom she married
Sept. 1, 1934 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in Kankakee, died Nov. 1, 1978.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Patti Pietraszewski of Bourbonnais; one sister, Pat Schriner of Kankakee; one brother-in-law, William Lovell of Bourbonnais; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Walters of Bradley, Loretta Sovinski of Texas; five grandchildren, Eric Pietraszewski, Dena and Roy Howell, Ryan, Riley and Emily Pietraszewski; and four great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Kayla and Tyler Howell; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, William, Richard and Glenn Walters; and four sisters, Goldie Dickson, Bonnie Molitor, Gerry Tuntland and Melba Enyart, are deceased.
Mrs. Pietraszewski attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Letha Robbins

Letha Mae Robbins, 90, of Bradley, died Sunday (Sept. 21, 2003) at her home.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Herb Thompson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Aroma Park cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker.
She was born Nov. 11, 1912, in Pekin, the daughter of Roy and Bessie Lawrey Dwyer.

Robbins of Texas, Thomas and Lani Robbins of Nevada, Joseph Robbins Jr. of Bourbonnais, Gerald and Paula Robbins of Bourbonnais, Maurice Robbins of Bradley; seven daughters and six sons-in-law, JoAnn and Louis Mullen of Texas, Millie Blanchette of Bourbonnais, Betty and John Gerard of Kankakee, Marjorie and Jim Tofte of Bourbonnais, Letha Jo and Guy Hamilton of Momence, Barbara Giardina of Kankakee, Brenda and Kim Weiss of Bourbonnais, and Ed Holappa of Michigan; 41 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Robert Robbins; two daughters, Mary Lou Holappa, Evelyn Sue Robbins; daughter-in-law, Fay Robbins; son-in-law, Henry Blanchette; two grandchildren, Robert Wilcox and Robin E. Gerard; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mabel and Harry Vanbuskirk and Dorothy Dwyer; and three brothers and one sister-in-law, Maurice and Betty Dwyer, Edward Dwyer and Richard Dwyer, are deceased.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Robbins enjoyed gardening, loved music and when she was younger enjoyed dancing, especially the Charleston. She loved her grandchildren and Letha truly loved and helped anyone and everyone.
Her life was her family. Letha taught her family how to live and showed them how to love and live life to its absolute fullest. Till we meet again....

MANTENO -- Loretta T. Sarne Santilli, 67, of Manteno, died Friday (Sept. 19, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today at Szykowny Funeral Home Ltd., 4901 S. Archer Ave. (1 block East of Pulaski at Szykowny Blvd.) where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery.
Mrs. Santilli was born Loretta Grygienc on Oct. 4, 1935.
Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Thompson; one son, Cristen Sarne; two stepdaughters, Lorene and Jack Pierce, Nancy and Tony DiAngelo; one stepson, Michael Santilli; grandchildren, Kala and D.J. Thompson, Melissa, and Nicole and James Miller; three stepgrandchildren, Enan, Alex and Ella Pierce; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sheila Grygienc; and many nieces and nephews.
One daughter-in-law, Deanna Miller; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and John Kina, Dolores and Walter Potempa; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, George and Dorothy Grygienc, and Irwin Grygienc, are deceased.

CLINTON -- Evelyn Ann Carter, 69, of Clinton, the mother of a Watseka resident, died Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003) at Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. J. Kent Hickerson will officiate.
Burial will be in DeLand cemetery.

DWIGHT -- Lillian A. Knop, 88, of Dwight, died Sunday (Sept. 21, 2003) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at the Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Rev. Daniel Ognoskie will officiate.
Burial with committal services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran cemetery in Shumway. Pallbearers will be Tim and Tom Jewett, Andy, Terry and Donnie Knop and Chuck Hood.
Memorials may be made to The Goodfarm Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Knop worked as an aide at The Grundy County Nursing Home since the 1950s. She also worked at the Dwight Children's Fox Center until she retired in 1979.
She was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Stewardson, the daughter of Clarence and Lena Correll.
Her husband, Clarence E. Knop, whom she married
April 28, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shumway, died in 1986.
Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Angela Jewett of Morris, Elvera and Russell Merkel of Ocala, Fla., Nancy and Martin Armstrong of Morris, Mary Lou Walker of Braidwood; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Donna Knop of Morris, Richard Knop, Larry and Sharon Knop and Michael Knop, all of Verona; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and four brothers and four sisters, are deceased.
She was a 1933 graduate of Stewardson-Strausburg High School.
Mrs. Knop was a member for over 58 years of the Goodfarm Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Dwight and the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the MVK Seniors Club.
She was a collector and crafter.
