Visitation for Mary Lou Davis, 60, of Kankakee, will be held Saturday at Carter's Funeral Home in Columbus, Miss. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Artesia, Miss. Rev. Cherry will officiate. Burial will be in Beulah Grove, Artesia, Miss. Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee, is in charge of local arrangements. She died Tuesday (Sept. 30, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital. Ms. Davis had worked at Manteno State Hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1943, the daughter of Harold Sr. and Mildred Randle Davis. Her parents are deceased. Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Raymond F. Davis of Kankakee, Damond L. and Kim Davis of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Delcenia Spraggins, Joan and Faye; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold Jr. and Thereasa Howard Davis of Arizona, Howard Davis, Dennis Davis, Ken Lee Davis; and four grandsons. One brother-in-law, Willie James Spraggins, is deceased. Ms. Davis was a member of Zion Gate Missionary Baptist Church in Kankakee.

CLIFTON -- Visitation for Marian R. Rabideau, 84, of Clifton, will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday at St. Peters Catholic Church in Clifton, where she was a member. Rev. Lee Bacchi will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Erable Catholic cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice, Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home or to the Marian and Omer Rabideau Scholarship. She died Wednesday (Oct. 1, 2003) at Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Rabideau was a longtime secretary at Rabideau Grain Co. in Clifton. She was born May 21, 1919, in L'Erable, the daughter of Philip and Cora Granier Lanoue. Her husband, Omer E. Rabideau, whom she married
Aug. 16, 1952, in Kankakee, died March 23, 1999. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Jim Hooper of Essex; and two grandsons, Zachary Hooper of Bloomington and Jonathon Hooper at home in Essex. One sister, Evelyn Muldoon, is deceased. Mrs. Rabideau was a member of the CCW and the Clifton Woman's Club. She loved to travel and enjoyed reading.

Erma Sorenson, 87, of Kankakee, died Thursday (Oct. 2, 2003) at ManorCare Health Services. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the 10 a.m. services at the Bradley Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Memorials may be made to the activities board at the nursing home. She was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Parkston, S.D., the daughter of Peter and Amanda Schultz Holmberg. May 11, 1940, in Luverne, Minn., died April 29, 2001. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Janie Sorenson of Bourbonnais; one daughter, Sharee Williams of Bourbonnais; one brother, Pershing Holmberg of Apple Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters are deceased. Mrs. Sorenson was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais. She taught Sunday School for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and nursing home activities.

STREATOR -- Lincoln Edwin Womack, 76, of Streator, and the stepbrother of a Wilmington resident, died Thursday (Sept. 25, 2003) at his home.
Services were held at 10 a.m. today at Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home in Streator.
Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery, Seneca.
Surviving are his wife, Marion A. Meredith Womack; two daughters, Kristal LaNette (Anthony) Kelley of Smithfield, N.C., Shari Ann (Joe) McGeehon of Florissant, Mo.; two sons, Lincoln Edward "Eddie" (Elida) Womack of Quito, Ecuador, Cecil Edwin "Rusty" (Tammy Hays) Womack of Lillington, N.C.; three stepchildren, Ron (Debbie) Ford Sr. of North Carolina, Ricki Ford of Illinois, Kay Sloan of Texas; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Waide of Pocatello, Idaho; one stepbrother, Russell (Linda) Green of Peru; and three stepsisters, Edith (Russell) Honred of Wilmington, Hazel (Ray) Jones of Townesville, S.C. and Josephine Wakeman of Arizona.

DWIGHT -- Eloise Steichen Baima, 91, of Dwight, died Saturday (Sept. 27, 2003) at her home.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a 5:30 p.m. rosary service, at the Hager Memorial Home in Dwight.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight, where she was a member. Her nephew, Rev. Thomas Baima, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dwight.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Baima was employed by First National Bank of Dwight for many years.
She was born May 11, 1911, in Dwight, the daughter of Clement and Mary Dwyer Steichen.
Her husband, Anthony Baima, whom she married
April 5, 1945, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Dwight, is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter, Genie Baima Marco of Park Forest; one sister, Rita Boma; one brother, John Steichen; two grandchildren, Terri Marco and Christopher Marco; and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Thomas Baima; three sisters, Angeline Burns, Irene Farber, Marjorie Cleary; and two brothers, Clement J. Steichen and Paul Robert Steichen, are deceased.
She was a graduate of Dwight High School.
Mrs. Baima was past president of the Dwight Woman's Club and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed playing bridge and loved to travel.
Bruce Hutton
GODLEY -- Bruce John Hutton, 28, of Godley, died suddenly Saturday (Sept. 27, 2003) at his home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. services at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Wilmington or to a fund of the donor's choice. Mr. Hutton was employed by Wackenhut Security at the Dresden Nuclear Station and was a member of Laborer's Local 75. He was born Dec. 17, 1974 in Joliet. Surviving are his parents, Vicki Hutton of Godley and Bruce Hutton of Wilmington; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Rebecca Troutman Hutton of Wilmington; grandmother, Violet Metzka of Custer Park; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His maternal grandfather, Elmer Metzka; and paternal grandparents, Allen and Eleanor Hutton, are deceased. Mr. Hutton was a 1994 graduate of Reed Custer HIgh School in Braidwood and a 1998 graduate of Lewis University in Romeoville. He enjoyed practicing his music with his brother and friends.

Gerald E. Kent, 79, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Sept. 28, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. services at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel. Rev. Martin R. Gutzmer will officiate. Burial will be in the Aroma Township cemetery. Mr. Kent was a retired farm hand. He was born July 4, 1924, in Aroma Park, the son of Ray and Beulah Cloke Kent. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including two nieces, Sharon and Bob Lee and Diane Spaulding, all of Kankakee; and one nephew, Ronnie Spaulding of Kankakee. Two brothers, Forrest Kent and Richard Kent; and one sister, Helen Spaulding, are deceased. Mr. Kent was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening.
