CLIFTON -- Angerine J. Daniels, 102, of Clifton, died today (Oct. 16, 2002) at the Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home, Clifton, after a short illness.
Arrangements are pending at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.
Joan Ginter
MANHATTAN -- Joan M. Ginter, 70, of Oklahoma City, Okla., formerly of the Manhattan and Peotone area, died Monday (Oct. 14, 2002).
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, Manhattan.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, Manteno.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family or for Masses.
Ms. Ginter was formerly employed by Dr. Marsh of Peotone and Fisher Body Automotive.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Ginter of Oklahoma City, Okla., Rev. Michael Ginter, pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Peotone; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and James Bernhard of Manhattan; two sisters-in-law, Rita McGrath of Manhattan; one granddaughter; and former husband, Clarence Ginter.
Her parents, James A. and Dorothy Ritchel McGrath; and two brothers, Edward and James I. McGrath, are deceased.
Ms. Ginter was a former organist at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Peotone and St. Joseph Church in Manteno.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Peotone.
Mary Green

Visitation for Mary Emma Green, 63, of Bradley, will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Bradley Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Martin Gutzmer will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
She died Sunday (Oct. 13, 2002) at her home.
Mrs. Green had been a cook for several years at Bradley Central Grade School. She had also been employed by Team Printing.
She was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Olney, the daughter of John Cye and Hattie Tolliver Works. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Allen Green of Bradley; one son, Mark Green of Kankakee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joanna and Andrew Krein of Plainfield, Robin and Gregory Orrill of Fort Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren.
One brother, Charles Works, is deceased.
Mrs. Green was a past member of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School Band Boosters, Color Guard and the BBCHS Drum and Bugle Corps.
She enjoyed reading, bingo, the ocean and visiting plantations in the South and other historical homes.
Joshua Jackson
Joshua Michael Andrew Jackson, infant son of Thomas Andrew Jackson and Robin Rose Rybolt-Jackson of Manteno, was stillborn Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Surviving besides his parents of Manteno are uncles, Richard Rybolt of Manteno, Ricky Culp of Kankakee; aunts, Kristin Jackson, Samantha Jackson and Sarah Jackson, all of Kankakee; maternal grandparents, David and Laura Rybolt; paternal grandparents, Janet Jackson and Doug Jackson, both of Kankakee.
He was a member of the Christian faith.
Beverly Knickrehm
PEOTONE -- Beverly Jean Knickrehm, 61, of Peotone, died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday at Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. David Plant will officiate.
Burial will be in the Peotone cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, where she was a member; or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Ms. Knickrehm was a former waitress at the Hen House in Peotone.
She was born Sept. 7, 1941 in Kankakee, the daughter of Roy and Laura Eickmann Kannberg. Her father is deceased.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Christine Knickrehm of Tinley Park; one daughter, Michele Knickrehm of Peotone; her mother, Laura Pike of Peotone; one brother, Dale Kannberg of Alsip; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Marilyn Jensen of Invergrove Heights, Minn., Carole and Don Brady of Wichita, Kan., and Debra Pike of Peotone.
Regina Randall
Regina Y. Randall, 91, of Kankakee, died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2002) at the Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the 10 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee.
Arrangements are pending at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Her husband, Lee Randall, died Sept. 27, 2002.
Roland Ropp

WILMINGTON -- Roland Husk Ropp, 70, of Wilmington, died Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2002) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Private services will be held Friday. Rev. Kim Peterson will officiate.
R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ropp was an operating engineer with Local 150 in Joliet, retiring after 48 years of service. He also farmed in the Wilmington area.
He was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Joliet, the son of Freeman R. and Elizabeth Eastman Ropp. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Hanko, whom he married
June 22, 1951; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ronda Ropp of Kankakee, Shell and Carl Thomas of Essex; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roland R. and Carol Ropp and Russell Ropp, all of Wilmington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren, Douglas Findlay and Riesa Ropp, are deceased.
Mr. Ropp was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge 208, both in Wilmington.
Mary Ellen Beck
Mary Ellen O'Connor Beck, 85, of Kankakee, passed away Monday (Oct. 14, 2002) after a brief illness.
Mary worked 25 years as night switchboard operator at Shapiro Developmental Center, Kankakee, before retiring in 1991. She also had been employed by Sears Roebuck and Co., and Bear Brand Hosiery Co., both in Kankakee.
She was a member of the Catholic Church. Her strong faith helped her throughout her life and her spirituality inspired her family.
Mary took great pride in her Irish heritage. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader, sports fan, and she enjoyed collecting angels.
She was born Aug. 16, 1917, in Irwin, a daughter of William A. and Mary Ellen Devine O'Connor. She married
Francis Peter Beck on May 17, 1937, at St. Patrick's Church in Kankakee. Her loving husband for 22 years, Francis preceded her in death on July 21, 1959.
Surviviors include her loving children: daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gene Donley, and daughter, Jean Ellen Beck, all of Bourbonnais; and her dear brother, William (Berdell) O'Connor, Kankakee. She was the devoted grandmother of nine: Laurie (Kevin) Januski, Patrick (Carol) Donley, Linda (Guy) Jasmin, Deborah Tebrock, Michele (William) Steinbacher-Kemp, Allison (Darin) Orvis, John Steinbacher, Scott Pepin and Steven (Laura) Pepin; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are many loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: James Beck, Louis (Vivian) Beck, Clement Beck, Charles (Jane) Beck, and Margaret Wilking; many nieces and nephews; and her good and faithful friends Vernon Bertrand, Janet Boguszewski, Anna Einfeldt and Chris Carey.
Mary's son, Patrick Francis Beck; her daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Pepin; and three sisters, Nora Regnier, Lenore Duffy and Bernice Mulholland, also preceded her in death.
She was a Gold Star mother, whose son served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, Bradley, with Father John Antczak officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls -- whose broadcasts of Sunday Mass Mary enjoyed for many years; or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, whose staff were earthly angels in her final days.
William Beutien
MANTENO -- William Beutien, 85, of Manteno, died today (Oct. 15, 2002) at his home.
Arrangements are pending at the Brown Funeral Home, Manteno.
Dr. Thomas Cumming
LEXINGTON -- Dr. Thomas S. Cumming, 82, formerly of Coal City, died Thursday (Oct. 10, 2002) at his home.
Private graveside services were held at the Braceville-Gardner cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heyworth Scholastic Fund or to the Salvation Army.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born July 2, 1915, in Coal City, the son of Dr. Clarence Earl and Ethel Rogers Cumming.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Lucille; one daughter, Cheryl; two grandchildren, Thomas (Pat) and Lisa; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Roger.
One son, Thomas; and one sister, Grace, are deceased.
