JOLIET -- Lawrence J. "Larry Joe" "Ace" Hutten, 61, of Joliet, and the relative of a Diamond resident, died Saturday (April 12, 2003) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet from cancer.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 15 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet.
Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery, Joliet.
Mr. Hutten retired from the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors after 30 years of service.
He was born in Joliet, the son of Lawrence A. and Mildred Goldschmidt Hutten.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Carolyn J. Hutten; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Chris Hutten of Joliet; twin daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Tony Pawiak of Homer Glen, Linda and Troy Peifer of Naperville; six grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Donald and Ancy Hutten, Ken and Mary Hutten and Joyce Hutten, all of Joliet; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Robert Heidenrich of Chicago; mother-in-law, Virginia Husar of Punta Gorda, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Jack Hermanski of Diamond; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a 1955 graduate of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus and a 1959 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. He attended Joliet Junior College.
Burly Jones

MOMENCE -- Visitation for Burly Jones, 81, of Momence, will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at the Leggett Funeral Home in Hopkins Park. Rev. Shoal Jordan will officiate.
Burial will be in Momence cemetery, Ganeer Township.
He died Monday (April 14, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Mr. Jones was the owner of Thriftway Grocery in Momence and was a bus driver in Pembroke Township.
He was born Oct. 14, 1921, in Arkansas, the son of Percy and Lizzie Jones.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rosie Powell, whom he married
Jan. 27, 1949, in Memphis, Tenn., of Momence; one son and daughter-in-law, Sgt. Anthony and Sylvia Jones of Ft. Hood, Texas; three daughters, Debra Steel and Sandra Gibbs, both of Chicago, Sally Sprinkle of Minnesota; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Bertha Siggres and Tom Siggres, all of Cleveland, Ohio, James and Grace Schaffer of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and 12 grandchildren.
Three sisters are deceased.
Mr. Jones was a resident of the area for 30 years and enjoyed playing pool.
Deena Rankin

Visitation for Deena Rankin, 47, of Bourbonnais, will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, and from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. service at Bethel Baptist Church in Bourbonnais. Rev. Paul Mount will officiate.
Burial will be Saturday in Jones cemetery in Flat Rock, Ark.
Memorials may be made to the Bulgaria Mission Trip through Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rankin died Tuesday (April 15, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1955 in Vincennes, Ind., the daughter of Wayne Dee and Vera Mae Ford Weger. Her mother is deceased.
Surviving are her husband, James Rankin, whom she married
May 22, 1976 in Flat Rock, Ark., of Bourbonnais; two daughters, Jill and Jenna Rankin, both of Bourbonnais; her father of Bourbonnais; aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Rankin was a speech therapist for the Manteno School District.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, was the pre-school director, and a member of Women on Missions.
She was a member of the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association, the National Speech and Hearing Association, and enjoyed reading.
Frank Deulen
MANTENO -- Frank Deulen, 83, of Manteno, died today (April 16, 2003) at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
Arrangements are pending at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Eleanor Bieber
ST. ANNE -- A funeral Mass for Eleanor Bieber, 79, of St. Anne, was celebrated April 14 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Rev. James Fanale officiated.
Mrs. Bieber died April 10, 2003.
Pallbearers were David Kerr, Mark, Joe, David, Jeff and Don Bieber.
Harrison Hall
Visitation for Harrison Bernard "Bern" Hall, 61, of Bradley, will be from 11 a.m. Saturday until the 2 p.m. service at Hertz-Thoma Chapel in Kankakee. Rev. Bobby Bessant will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Hall died Monday (April 14, 2003) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1941 in Harlan, Ky., the son of Thomas and Beulah White Hall. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Wilma Middleton, whom he married
July 2, 1962 in Harlan, Ky., of Bradley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Donna Hall of Kankakee, Charlie Hall of Bourbonnais; one daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Joe Shepard of Logansport, Ind.; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Jack Coffer of Bradley; seven brothers and six sisters-in-law, Sam Hall of St. Anne, Kenneth and Louise Hall of Chebanse, Billie and Wanda Hall of Georgia, Johnnie and Ruth Hall, Paul and Becky Pridemore, all of Kankakee, Raymond and Shirley Hall of Bradley, David and Sue Pridemore of Limestone; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
One brother, Lowell, is deceased.
Mr. Hall retired in 1975 after over 20 years with Jones & McKnight Steel Co., now Burlington Steel.
He enjoyed working on cars and was a very good mechanic.

DONOVAN -- James C. Iliff, 55, of Donovan, died Monday (April 14, 2003) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at McMullan-Sitz Funeral Home in Kentland, Ind., and from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. service at Donovan Church of Christ. Rev. Terry Horn will officiate.
Burial with military rites will be in Prairie Dell cemetery, Iroquois.

He was a press operator for Tredgar Industries of Kentland, Ind., for 23 years. He previously worked on the Milwaukee Railroad for nine and a half years.
Mr. Iliff was born Nov. 18, 1947 in Rensselaer, Ind., the son of Russell and Agnes Hutsell Iliff. His parents are deceased.
He had been a resident of Donovan since 1970, coming from Kentland, Ind.

Sept. 5, 1970 in Donovan; one daughter, Lisa Iliff of Davenport, Iowa; one son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Leticia Iliff of Kentland, Ind.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Thelma Sisney of Cedar Lake, Ind., Bill and Kay Sisney of Raub, Ind., Dean and Marion Sisney of Crown Point, Ind.; seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, Margaret and Gordon Banister of Earl Park, Griselda Pipers, Kay Ellen and John Wright, and Mary Wright, all of Tahlequah, Okla., Myrtle and Russell Sullivan of Rensselaer, Ind., Pauline and Carl Neyhart of Hobart, Ind., Joanne Teddy of Winter Garden, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Anna and Charles Disosway of Sheldon; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
One brother, Roy Sisney, is deceased.
Mr. Iliff was a graduate of AJ Kent High School in Kentland, Ind.
He was a member of Donovan Church of Christ, and served on the church board.
He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S Marine Infantry from 1966-1969.
Mr. Iliff was a lifetime member and current president of the United Steel Workers of America Local 118, a member of the Kentland, Ind., VFW and the Watseka American Legion.
Mary Kelley
VIENNA -- Mary L. Kelley, 67, of Vienna, formerly of Morris, died Tuesday (April 8, 2003) at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services were held April 12 at U.C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd. Rev. Robert Hoffenkamp officiated.
Burial was in Sample cemetery in Morris.

Mrs. Kelley was born Feb. 7, 1936 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Robert and Treva Penn Moore. Her father is deceased.
Her husband, Larry J. Kelley, whom she married
Aug. 24, 1964 in Joliet, died Dec. 3, 1995.
Surviving are her mother of Granite City; one daughter, Laura Carr of Seneca; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike Holcomb of Coal City, Mark and Tina Kelley of Vienna; seven grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Harold McCarthy of Granite City; and one niece and nephew.
One great-grandson, Matthew Wayne Hall, died Oct. 21, 2002.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 544 in Morris, and a member of Grundy County Rod and Gun Club.
Samuel McCullough

WATSEKA -- Visitation for Samuel D. McCullough, 82, of Watseka, will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Wayne Meyer will officiate.
Burial with military rites by Watseka American Legion Post 23 and VFW Post 7450 will be in Sugar Creek cemetery in Stockland.

Mr. McCullough died Monday (April 14, 2003) at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.
He was an area farmer for 57 years.
He was born June 21, 1920 in Momence, the son of Thomas J. and Myra M. Latz McCullough.
His wife, the former Hazel L. Redman, whom he married
Dec. 21, 1942 in Watseka, died Sept. 18, 1992.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Vicki McCullough, Michael and Stephanie McCullough, David and Cheryl McCullough, all of Watseka; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Virgil McCullough, Thomas and Norma McCullough, Robert and Shirley McCullough, all of Watseka; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma and Ed Larson of Bradley, Delorous and Joe Guard, Doris and John Ash, all of Watseka, Barbara and Charles Walter of Mishawaka, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Three brothers; three sisters; and one son, Randall, are deceased.
Mr. McCullough served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He was a member of Watseka American Legion.
