Elizabeth Mazurkiewicz
CHEBANSE - Visitation for Elizabeth Jane Mazurkiewicz, 58, of Chebanse, will be from 11 a.m. Saturday until the 3 p.m. services at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. The Rev. Daniel Wheelock will officiate.
Memorials may be made to her grandchildren's education.
Mrs. Mazur-kiewicz died Monday (June 19, 2000) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
She was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Joliet, the daughter of Clarence and Olive Jane Shear Goldsberry. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband, Walter Mazurkiewicz, whom she married Oct. 17, 1981, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee; five sons and four daughters-in-law, David and Carla Peters of Coal City, Casey and Kelly Whitt of Plainfield, Vince Mazurkiewicz of Montana, Paul and Sue Mazurkiewicz of Ashkum, Peter and Deborah Mazurkiewicz of Bradley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Daniel Babcock of Bradley, Linda and Micheal Wilson of Lombard, Deborah and Troy Padgett of Ashkum; two sisters, Beatrice Korlec of Coal City, Charlotte "Tootie" Gonis of Braidwood; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Crystal Goldsberry of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, George Goldsberry and Clarence Goldsberry Jr.; and one sister, Elenor Mansfield.
Mrs. Mazurkiewicz had been a dialysis tech at St. Mary's until her retirement.
She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Marie Sauer
HERSCHER - Marie Sauer, 89, of Herscher, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) in Middleton, Wis.
Arrangements are pending at the Herscher Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.

Mary Thomas
RICHTON PARK - Visitation for Mary Elizabeth Rice Thomas, 77, of Richton Park, formerly of Kankakee, will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the 10:30 a.m. services at the Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee. The Rev. Cloyd Bryant will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery, Kankakee.
Mrs. Thomas died Saturday (June 17, 2000) at St. James Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital.
She was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Columbus, Miss., the daughter of James and Adell Goodman Rice.
Surviving are her husband, Lillard Thomas, whom she married in 1954, in Crown Point, Ind., of the Glenshire Nursing Center, Richton Park; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Hayward Thomas and Gwendolyn Magby of Jonesboro, Ga., Willard Thomas of Houston, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Irma Jean and Christopher Boddy, Martha Ann and Joseph Whatley, all of Richton Park; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Martha Mitchel of Columbus, Miss., Sammie Will Randolph, Mamie and Herbert McKinnie, all of Saginaw, Mich., Louise and Nise Tucker of Kankakee; one brother and sister-in- law, James and Lois Rice of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, Horace of Champaign, Eugene of Pembroke; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Deceased is one sister.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Zion Gate Missionary Baptist Church.

Kenneth Heisner
BEECHER - Kenneth A. Heisner, 71, of Beecher, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Detlaf Schwartz will officiate.
Burial will be in Peotone cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Peotone, where he was a member, or to the Parkinson's Research Foundation.
Mr. Heisner had been a dairy farmer.
He was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Manhattan, the son of Adam and Alma Carstens Heisner.
Surviving are his wife, the former Noreen Krapf, whom he married Dec. 27, 1950, at Green Garden Methodist Church, Manhattan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Cecilia Heisner of Manteno, Calvin and Helen Heisner of Beecher; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Daryl Schawel of Martinez, Calif., Marla and Leo Meaney of Hartland, Mich.; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Lois Heisner of Peotone; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Arline Asbrand, Irene and Norbert Behrens, all of Peotone; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased is one sister, Eleanor Arnold.
He was a member of the Will County Farm Bureau.

Madeleine Stubbs
Madeleine D. Stubbs, 82, of Bourbonnais, died today (June 22, 2000) at her home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, and from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bradley.

Jack Bond
Jack W. Bond, 77, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Surviving in his wife, Hazel.
Arrangements are pending at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.

Albert Cain
WATSEKA - Albert L. Cain, 76, of Watseka, died today (June 22, 2000) at Sheldon Meadows Nursing Home.
Arrangements are pending at the Baier Funeral Home, Watseka.

Cindy Gladu
ST. ANNE - Cindy L. Gladu, 47, of St. Anne, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon- Houk Funeral Home, St. Anne, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jim Fanale will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Anne Cem-etery.
She was born Jan. 24, 1953, in Kankakee, the daughter of John and Vonda Oaks Corlett.
Surviving are her husband, Dale Gladu, whom she married June 17, 1981, in Kankakee, of St. Anne; one son, Dale "Bud" Gladu of St. Anne; four daughters and one son-in-law, Heather and Joe Peters of St. Anne, Kim Campbell of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dawn Gladu of Bradley, Autumn Gladu of Manteno; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joanna and Bill Taylor of Arizona, Marilyn Baron of North Carolina; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John "Buster" and Marylin Corlett of Kankakee, Bill and Cathy Corlett of Palatine; her father, John Corlett of Bradley; her mother, Vonda Corlett of Bradley; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are one sister, Lynette Lewis; and one granddaughter, Lauren Gladu.
Mrs. Gladu had worked at Kerr's Gifts in Bradley.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Sodality of St. Anne.
She enjoyed sports, the Bourbonnais Bears Football, crafts of all kinds, gardening, especially flowers, bird watching and cooking.

Mary Seehausen
A funeral Mass for Mary Jane Seehausen, 73, of Bourbonnais, was celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Kankakee, where she was a member.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Miss Seehausen died Monday (June 19, 2000) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
Miss Seehausen had been a clerical worker for the State of Illinois for 38 years, retiring Sept. 1, 1991.
She was born March 28, 1927, in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Richard and Margaret Krieg Seehausen.
Surviving are one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Clyde Licht of Grant Park; two nephews, Robert and Maxine Drozda, Girard and Ranae Drozda; one niece, Jane and Paul Daum; special friend, Ron Ondra of Dyer, Ind.; three great- nephews, two great-nieces and two great-great-nieces.

Grant Turner
BONFIELD - Grant Turner, 28, of Bonfield, died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) in Round Grove Township, Livingston County.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Stephen Friese will officiate.
Burial will be in Bonfield cemetery.
Memorials may be made for his daughters education.
He was born Nov. 15, 1971, in Kankakee, the son of George and Charlene Ferden Turner.
Surviving are his wife, the former Kelly Wenzelman, whom he married April 26, 1997, in Bonfield; one daughter, Madison Turner at home; two sisters, Bobbi Tremper of Chicago, Kelly Tremper of Bonfield; two brothers, Daniel Turner of Kankakee, Bill Turner of Champaign; his parents, George and Eleanor Turner of Peeples Valley, Ariz., Charlene and George Hoskins of Kankakee; maternal grandmother, Elvera Ferden of Herscher; paternal grandmother, Rosalee Paulsen of Kankakee; stepgrandmother, Marie Hoffner of Bradley; father and mother-in-law, Stan and Ronda Wenzelman of Bonfield; stepfather, Michael Hoffner of Kankakee; one niece and three nephews.
Paternal grandfather, Robert Turner; maternal grandfather, Roy Ferden; and stepgrandfather, Oren Hoffner, are deceased.
Mr. Turner had been an exterminator for Ecolab for six years.
He was a member of the River Road Softball League.
He enjoyed golf, fishing, softball, video games and fantasy football.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Football fan.

Lydia Stahler
SAUNEMIN - Lydia E. Stahler, 75, of Tuscola, formerly of Saunemin, died Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kenneth Roedder will officiate.
Burial will be in Tuscola cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Special Olympics.
She was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Saunemin, the daughter of Scott and Daisy Brittain Combs.
Surviving are five sons, Scott Stahler of New Lenox, Alvin Stahler Jr. of Charleston, Gerald "Peanuts" Stahler, Mark Stahler and Michael L. Stahler, all of Tuscola; three daughters, Connie Lewis of Tuscola, Trish Miller of Eldridge, Iowa; Margie Stahler of Hampton; one brother, Lloyd Combs of Bloomington; three sisters, Ruth Erny of Jasper, Ind., Dora Thomas of Tuscola, Catherine Hoke of Champaign; 11 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
One son, John Phillip Stahler; two brothers and two sisters, are deceased.

Georgia Smith
BLOOMINGDALE - Georgia L. Smith, 82, of Bloomingdale, died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Palos Hills, following a lengthy illness.
There will be no visitation.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. The Rev. Dan Doty will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Chebanse.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Oct. 5, 1917, in Minot, N.D., the daughter of George and Lee Vance Gathman.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Mary Smith of Bloomingdale; one daughter and son-in-law, Celia Ferne and Bob Bosley of W. Henrietta, N.Y.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was a Registered Nurse at Fairbury Hospital for 20 years and at Tinley Park Hospital for 10 years.

Helen Hamende
Visitation for Helen Hamende, 83, of Bradley, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, where she was a member. The Rev. William Dewan will officiate.
Burial will be in St. James cemetery, Irwin.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Grade School.
Mrs. Hamende died Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at Miller Healthcare Center.
She was born July 16, 1917, in Irwin, the daughter of John and Ellen O'Connor Casey.
Her husband, Viateur "Babe" Hamende, whom she married Feb. 6, 1937, at St. James Catholic Church, Irwin, died Nov. 22, 1972.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Larry Huggins, Joyce and Larry Barbee, all of Bradley; one sister, Marie Rich of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers and sisters- in-law, John E. "Ed" and Dean Casey, Thomas Leonard and Adeline Casey, all of Bradley; five grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Mrs. Hamende was a retired secretary from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley.
She was a member of the CCW of her church.
She enjoyed sewing and reading.
