Services for Frank Charles Evans, 84, of Bradley, were held July 7 at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Richard Sagarsee officiated. Mr. Evans died July 4, 2003. Burial was in the Aroma Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael, Chris and Jeremie Nickles, Kenneth Sifirt, Robert Evans and Tom McVey.

Services for John Carl Westphal, 80, of Alton and a former area resident, were held July 15 at the Herscher Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Rev. Ronald Hart officiated. Mr. Westphal died July 12, 2003, in Alton. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery in Cabery. Pallbearers were Jeff and Jason Leckrone, Darren and Scott Westphal and Philip and Ross Fry.

A funeral Mass for Edward M. Haduch, 67, of Kankakee, was celebrated July 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Mr. Haduch died July 13, 2003. Burial was in Resurrection cemetery in Justice. MILFORD -- Services for Clyde Marvin Brasel, 80, of Milford, were held July 16 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Revs. Pat Allin and Neil Larimore officiated. Mr. Brasel died July 12, 2003. Burial was in the Sugar Creek cemetery, Stockland. Pallbearers were Mark Brasel, John Martin, Larry Mabbitt, Tom Tinsman, Gary Handy, Garry Hinkle, Jeff Cavitt, Neil Schippert and Wes Handy.
Warren Buck
WATSEKA -- Services for Warren S. Buck, 79, of Watseka, were held July 16 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Watseka. Rev. Mel Meyers officiated. Mr. Buck died July 12, 2003. Burial was in Prairie Dell cemetery, Iroquois. Pallbearers were Kevin Bossong, Timothy Mathis, Ray Piper, Eric Kalhust, Dan Menigoz and Joseph White. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Clark and Russell Daniels.

A funeral Mass for Alfred P. "Beau" Kyrouac, 78, of Bourbonnais, was celebrated July 16 at Maternity BVM Catholic Church. Rev. John Linnan and Deacon Mush Marcotte officiated. Mr. Kyrouac died July 13, 2003. Burial, with military rites by the Bradley American Legion, was in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais. Pallbearers were Mark and Kenneth Kyrouac, Kyle Williams, Ronnie Sieling, Don Atutis and Art Cox.
Frank Goodwin

WILMINGTON -- Visitation for Frank Howard Goodwin, 82, of rural Wilmington, will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at the United Methodist Church in Wilmington. Revs. David Lagos-Fonseca and Shirley Pulgar-Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in the Wesley Township cemetery in Ritchie. Memorials may be made in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or to the United Methodist Church of Wilmington, where he was a member. R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. He died Wednesday (July 16, 2003) at his home. Mr. Goodwin was a longtime dairy farmer. He was also a Brown Swiss cattle breeder, an international dealer of registered Brown Swiss cattle and was a member of the Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Association. He showed his cattle at several exhibitions and competitions, including state fairs. He was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Wesley Township, the son of Phil Ritchey and Myrtle Brock Goodwin. His wife, the former Winnifred Nadler, whom he married

Traub of Monticello; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William J. Goodwin and Erwin and Marlene Goodwin, all of Wilmington; two sisters, Phyllis Summers of Chatham, Helen McGranahan of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodwin was a member of the Alumni of the Wesley 4-H Hustlers.

CULLOM -- Visitation for Daniel Kyburz, 82, of Cullom, a former Chatsworth resident who had been a leader in that community, will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Cullom. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cullom United Methodist Church. Rev. Herb Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in Chatsworth cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cullom United Methodist Church or the Cullom Ambulance or Fire Department. He died Wednesday (July 16, 2003) in the emergency room of OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac. after a sudden illness. Mr. Kyburz farmed for many years in rural Chatsworth and had also worked as a licensed apprentice pharmacist for Conibear Pharmacy in Chatsworth. From 1994 through 2002 he had served on the Livingston County Board. He was a volunteer of the Chatsworth Fire Department for 25 years, served on the Charlotte Elevator Board and was the Charlotte Republican precinct committeeman. He was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Wing, the son of Henry and Catherine Blanck Kyburz. Surviving are his wife, the former Violet Mae Garrels, whom he married
March 20, 1943, in rural Chatsworth, of Cullom; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Rae and Gary Roberts of Mt. Zion, Susan Mae and John Fox of Downs; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Grotevant of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac. One daughter and son-in-law, Dana Kay and H. Roy Harms; four brothers, Fred, Frank, Henry and Carl Kyburz; and three sisters, Caroline Wettstein, Anna Wurmnest and Elizabeth Hoke, are deceased. He was a 1938 graduate of Chatsworth High School. Mr. Kyburz was a member of the Cullom United Methodist Church and a former member of the Chatsworth United Methodist Church and had served on the boards of both churches. He also had been a member of the Chatsworth church's building committee He was a longtime member of the Chatsworth Lions Club.

MANTENO -- Rebecca Marie Most, 21, of Manteno, died Wednesday (July 16, 2003). Ms. Most had completed seven months of service with a Catholic Charities organization called Maggie Place, a home for homeless pregnant women, in Phoenix, Ariz. Her brother, William, had flown out to Phoenix on Tuesday to return home with her. They were involved in a two-car collision just east of Flagstaff, Ariz. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno, where she was a member. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Manteno. Memorials may be made to Maggies Place in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born Oct. 19, 1981, in Kankakee, the daughter of William Allen and Rose Longtin Most. Surviving, besides her parents of Manteno, are one brother, Jeremy Most of Manteno; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her brother, William Joseph Most; maternal grandparents, LeRoy and Geraldine Longtin; and paternal grandparents, Bertha Sue (Parham) Hodge and Joseph Most, are deceased. Ms. Most was a 1999 graduate of Manteno High School and in May of 2003 received a bachelor's degree in children and family services with a specialization in individuals and familes at risk and a second bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Purdue University. She was a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. She was currently registered at Marymont University in Arlington, Va., to pursue a master's degree in forensic psychology.

William J. Most, 26, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (July 16, 2003) from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Arizona. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno. Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kankakee County Humane Society. He was born June 7, 1977 in Kankakee. Surviving are his father and stepmother, William Allen and Rose Longtin Most of Manteno; his stepfather, Robert Clark of Limestone; one sister, Tanya Bultman of Kankakee; one brother, Jeremy Most of Manteno; two stepbrothers, Robert Clark Jr., Douglas Clark; one stepsister, Deana Clark; grandparents, Charles and Charlene Swinford of Kankakee; one niece; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His mother, Donna Clark; his sister, Rebecca Most; paternal grandparents, Bertha Sue (Parham) Hodge and Joseph Most, are deceased. He was a 1995 graduate of Herscher High School and attended Columbia Broadcasting School-Audio Engineering and received a certificate in broadcasting in Oxford, Ohio. Mr. Most had just recently moved to Champaign to pursue his career in audio engineering. His love of music led him to organize music festivals.

COAL CITY -- Hazel E. Pastore, 93, of Coal City, died Wednesday (July 16, 2003) at Morris Hospital. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the 10 a.m. services at the Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Rev. Jim Brazell will officiate. Burial will be in Union cemetery in Emmington. She was born Sept. 29, 1909, in Emmington, the daughter of John and Jessie McLeod Wyllie. Her husband, Peter Pastore, whom she married
in August 1938, in Joliet, died in 2000. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Pastore of Rockford; four grandchildren, Ember, Julie, Nicole and Matthew Pastore, all of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers and six sisters are deceased. She was a graduate of Dwight High School. Mrs. Pastore was a longtime member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Charles V. Snyder, 76, of Bourbonnais, died Sunday (July 13, 2003) at Riverside Medical Center. Services were held at the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home in Canton, Ohio. Burial was in Forest Hill cemetery, Canton, Ohio. Rev. Dan Snyder officiated. Local arrangements were by the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Mr. Snyder was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was born March 21, 1927 in Canton, Ohio. His wife, the former Donna Miller, died in 2000. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dante and Linda Snyder of Canton, Ohio; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sheree and Dave Estes of North Canton, Ohio, Carol Maxson of Bourbonnais; and six grandchildren. One sister and one brother are deceased. Mr. Snyder was a graduate of Kent State University and a member of the College Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed reading.

MORGAN PARK -- Golden Sylvester Tillman, a resident of Morgan Park for over 65 years, and the father of a Kankakee resident, died Monday (July 14, 2003) at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Saturday until the noon service at Beth Eden Baptist Church, 11121 S. Loomis. Mr. Tillman was a master molder at the Burnside Steel Foundry for nearly 50 years. His wife, Blanche Hutson Tillman, is deceased. Surviving are five children, Hudson Tillman of Kankakee, Loretta, Cynthia, John (Linda), and Sylvester (W. Bill) of Chicago.

MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Josephine Whitwood, 88, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of El Paso, Ill. and the sister of a Danforth resident, died June 18, 2003 at the Bickford Cottage in Muscatine.
