Gwen Houlihan
MANTENO -- Gwendolyn M. "Gwen" Houlihan, 63, of Manteno, formerly of Chicago, died Thursday (Aug. 15, 2002) at her home.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today at the Maple Funeral Home, 24300 S. Ford Road, Channahon.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the family.
She was born March 7, 1939.
Mrs. Houlihan was retired from Kmart.
Her husband, Richard Houlihan, whom she married
June 15, 1957, in Chicago, is deceased.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Saper of Chicago, Pam and Ray Kurzawa of Joliet, Cindy and Bob Kinast of Plainfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Rich and Sue Houlihan of Shorewood; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike Delorto of Florida and Jim Delorto of Nevada.
Mrs. Houlihan was a board member of the Manteno Sportsmen's Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Naomi Long,

MOMENCE -- Naomi "Pat" Jepsen Long, 74, of Peculiar, Mo., formerly of Momence, died Thursday (Aug. 15, 2002).
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Harry Schmidt will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
Mrs. Long owned and operated Sonny's Tap in Momence for many years.
She was born Nov. 23, 1928, the daughter of Ross and Hazel Gaffney.
Her husband, Sonny Jepsen, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jamie Jepsen of Peculiar, Mo., Barry and Vickie Jepsen of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Paul Raper of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Laverne Rahn
HOLLAND, Mich. -- Visitation for Laverne William Rahn, 65, of Holland, Mich., formerly of Chebanse, will be from 2 p.m. Monday until the 4 p.m. services at the Danforth Reformed Church. Revs. William Boersma and Donald J. MacDonald III will officiate.
Burial will be in the Danforth cemetery.
Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, is in charge of arrangements.
He died Thursday (Aug. 15, 2002) at the Holland Hospital in Holland, Mich.
Mr. Rahn worked for Roper Corporation in Kankakee for 25 years. He retired from Hanson Manufacturing in Holland, Mich. and had also worked part-time for the Holland Bowling Center.
He was born March 16, 1937, in Chebanse, the son of Arthur and Edith Peters Rahn. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are the former Arlene Zeedyk; children, Beth and William Stoffregen of Laguna Hills, Calif., Steve and Julie Rahn of Valparaiso, Ind., Christopher and Kristine Rahn of Holland, Mich., Andrew and Julie Rahn of St. Joseph, Mich., Adam, Sarah and Phillip Rahn, all of Holland, Mich.; grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Stoffregen, Megan Rahn, Brooke, Aaron and Ethan Rahn, Austin and Allison Rahn and Anthony and Logan Rahn; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Bernie Jarka of Bradley, Betty and Delbert Dummer of Bonfield; and one brother, Marvin Rahn of Danforth.
One sister, Darlene; and one brother, Durl, are deceased.
Raymond Gundelach
MANTENO -- Services for Raymond F. Gundelach, 89, of Manteno, formerly of New Lenox, were held Aug. 15 at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno. Rev. Jack McCormick officiated.
Mr. Gundelach died Aug. 10, 2002.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Clark, Tracy and Sean Skidmore, Phil and Mark Pastor and Chad Kollross.
Richa Betourne
LIMESTONE -- A funeral Mass for Richa Marie Betourne, 28, of Limestone, was celebrated Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley.
Mrs. Betourne died Aug. 5, 2002.
Burial was in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais. Pallbearers were James Becker, Daryl and Dean Ferris, Paul Puffer, Pete Theisen, Ed Cadle, Keith Pastorel, Tyler Coffman, Craig Cadle and J.R. Levesque.
Annabelle Nourie
CLIFTON -- A funeral Mass for Annabelle L. Nourie, 89, of Clifton, was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Kankakee. Rev. Richard Pighini officiated.
Mrs. Nourie died Aug. 12, 2002.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Kankakee. Pallbearers were Ken and Gary Schafer, Jerome Menard, Bob Forgue and Rene Pommier.
James Weber
MANTENO -- Services for James F. Weber, 60, of Manteno, were held Aug. 16 at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno. Rev. Edward Grotovsky officiated.
Mr. Weber died Aug. 12, 2002.
Burial was in Elmwood cemetery, Manteno. Pallbearers were Joe, Dan and Jim Wokurka, Shane Rockrohr, David Karaus and Pete Sedat.
Rita Savoie
A funeral Mass for Rita E. Savoie, 84, of Coos Bay, Ore., formerly of Kankakee, was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee. Rev. Charles Wheeler officiated.
Mrs. Savoie died Aug. 6, 2002.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Tanner, Steve and David Savoie, Darryl LaMore and Ray and Kenneth St. Aubin.
Albert Schroeder
GILMAN -- Services for Albert D. Schroeder, 90, of Gilman, were held Aug. 17 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman. Rev. Robert Downs officiated.
Mr. Schroeder died Aug. 14, 2002.
Burial was in the Gilman cemetery. Pallbearers were Addison, Charles Jr., Darrell and Elmer Brown, John Hoover and Fred Reinking.
Anna Hayslette
PIPER CITY -- Services for Anna E. Hayslette, 83, of Piper City, were held Aug. 16 at the United Methodist Church, Piper City. Rev. Jan Miller officiated.
Mrs. Hayslette died Aug. 13, 2002.
Burial was in Brenton cemetery, Piper City. Pallbearers were Marvin Cresswell, Jerry Drilling, Alan Hayslett, Matt Johnson, Arnold Lambert and Pat Lawless.
Donald Beyer
DWIGHT -- Visitation for Donald L. Beyer, 77, a lifelong resident of Dwight, will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Hager Memorial Home, Dwight.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight, where he was a member. Rev. William Gardner will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Dwight.
Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice, Pontiac.
He died Wednesday (Aug. 21, 2002) at his home.
Mr. Beyer was a retired State of Illinois employee at the Fox Center in Dwight. He was a business owner for over 40 years in Dwight. He had owned Sip 'n' Bite, Dog 'n' Suds, Beyer's Restaurants and Faith's Dress Shop.
He was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Dwight, the son of Louis and Lena Hansen Beyer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Hammen, whom he married
Jan. 27, 1945, in Kinsman, of Dwight; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Miles of Victorville, Calif.; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Donna Beyer of Dwight, James and Kristen Beyer of Westminster, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Enrietta of Morris; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Pauline Beyer of Hammond, Ind.; Terri and Charles Helmig, whom he considered a daughter and son-in-law; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one daughter, Donna, who died in 1961; and one brother, Lloyd, who died in 1994.
Mr. Beyer was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and Danish Brotherhood.
John Denault
CLEWISTON, Fla. -- John Melvin Denault, 54, of Clewiston, Fla., and a former area resident, died Wednesday (Aug. 14, 2002) at his home.
Services were held Aug. 16 at Faith Lutheran Church, Clewiston. Rev. David Meyer officiated.
Cremation rites were accorded at the Northlake Crematory.
Mr. Denault worked for U.S.S. C. as a computer programer.
He was born Oct. 15, 1947 in Joliet.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Denault of Clewiston; three daughters, Amy Denault of Corvallis, Ore., Sara Denault of Oakwood, Ga., Debra Denault of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, David Denault of Bradley; and three sisters, Cynthia Page and Alice Dubois, both of Kankakee, and Charlene Estrada of Tampa, Fla.
His parents, Melville Denault and Jewel Spese Denault Lehnus, are deceased.
He was a 1965 graduate of Herscher High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS degree in math and computer science.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1966-1970.
Mr. Denault was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church, Clewiston and the Lions Club.
He was a soccer coach for AYSO. He helped with various activities that his daughters were in such as band boosters, Girl Scouts and high school soccer and tennis.
Hazel Feast
WATSEKA -- Visitation for Hazel Feast, 55, of Watseka, will be from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Park cemetery, 127th and Halsted, Chicago.
Miss Feast died Tuesday (Aug. 20, 2002) at Magnolia Wood Healthcare Center, Watseka.
She was born Aug. 27, 1946, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Oscar and Cora Smith Feast. Her parents are deceased.
Several cousins survive.
Miss Feast was a member of the Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir.
She enjoyed music.
