Visitation for Esther R. Boguszewski, 82, of Bradley, will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Entombment will be in All Saints cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Grade School.
Mrs. Boguszewski died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) at her home.
She was born May 17, 1918, in Kankakee, the daughter of Adlore and Dela Spenard Shoven.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley Boguszewski, whom she married
July 14, 1948, in Kankakee; two sons and daughters-in- law, Michael and Deborah Boguszewski of Roseville, Minn., Roland and Janet Boguszewski of Clifton; one daughter, Marie Boguszewski of St. Anne; and seven grandchildren.
Three sisters and one brother are deceased.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley. She had been a member of St. Stanislaus Mother's Club and longtime parishioner at St. Stanislaus Church until it closed.
She enjoyed swimming, ice skating and gardening.
George Washington,
25 years at Sun Chemical
Visitation for George Washington, 69, of Kankakee, will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee.
Services will be held Saturday at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Raleigh, Miss.
Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Washington died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000).
Mr. Washington retired after 25 years of service with Sun Chemical Corp., Kankakee. He was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Raleigh, Miss., the son of Len and Nellie King Washington. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Tossie Campbell, whom he married
Nov. 21, 1953, in Chicago; one stepson, George F. Barlow; sisters and brothers-in-law, Omell Craft, Izella Campbell, both of Raleigh, Miss., Dessie and Ike Eastering of Hattiesburg, Miss., Alberta Turner of Joliet and Annie Langham of Chicago; brothers and sisters-in- law, Lynn and Pauline Washington, Gardline and Thelma Washington, Chester and Milberta Washington, Junis Ray Washington of Joliet and Troy and Minnie Washington of Evergreen, Ala.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One sister, Mayola Moffett; and one brother, Leroy Washington, are deceased.
Mary Jackson
MOMENCE - Mary J. Jackson, 80, of Momence, died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Momence, where she was a member. Rev. James Ruberg will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Momence Fire Protection District.
Mrs. Jackson delivered Meals on Wheels for 25 years.
She was born June 10, 1920, in Momence, the daughter of Frank and Hattie Smith Munyon.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur W. Jackson, whom she married
June 24, 1939, in Rensselaer, Ind.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Don Jarvis of Morocco, Ind., Ardis and Richard Wardynski of Momence, Joan and Rudy Watkins of Lake Village, Ind., Janice and John Schoop of St. John, Ind.; one sister, Hazel Conway of Kankakee; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter, Tina Dexter, is deceased.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Martha Circle.
She loved fishing, gardening, quilting, bowling and sewing.
Virginia Higman
Virginia M. Higman, 70, of Kankakee, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at Riverside Medical Center.
There will be no visitation or services.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley, the American Heart Association, or to the American Lung Association.
The Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Anne Marie Montale Imhauser. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Richard Higman, whom she married
March 5, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., died in 1985.
Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet and Wally Rokus of Kankakee, Susan Gilbert of Bourbonnais, Jacquelyn Hackley of Chebanse, Barbara and William Tanner of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Lloyd Robblin of Sedona, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Everett and Harry Imhauser, are deceased.
Mrs. Higman had been a machinist adjuster for General Foods.

BEECHER - Vera G. Oldenburg, 82, of Beecher, former editor of the Beecher Herald, died Sunday (Nov. 5, 2000) at Anchorage of Beecher.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. today until the 7:30 p.m. services at the Hack Funeral Home, Beecher. Rev. Mark Larson will officiate.
Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee.
She was born Jan. 24, 1918, the daughter of Albert and Edna Luecke Boehner.
Her husband, Arthur Oldenburg, whom she married
Oct. 30, 1943, died in 1986.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Traver Hartill, Christine and Brian Knapp, all of Beecher; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Richard who died in 1944; and one brother, Warren, are deceased.
Mrs. Oldenburg had been a secretary at Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a member.

FAIRBURY - Marie M. Crews, 75, of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minonk, formerly of Fairbury and sister of an Onarga resident, died Sunday (Nov. 5, 2000) at the nursing home.
There will be no visitation.
A committal service will be at 10 a.m Friday at Brenton cemetery, Piper City. Rev. Stanley Rapp will officiate.
Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Piper City, the daughter of Henry and Mabel Perkins York.
Her husband, Charlie H. Crews, whom she married
Dec. 23, 1947, died in June 1977.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dolores Hoerner of Towanda, Patricia and Walter Lane of Flanagan, Carol and Gary Gilbert of Fairview, Tenn.; one son, Jerry Crews of Towanda; four sisters, Grace Nettlingham of Russells Point, Ohio, Leona Anderson, Doris Cohernour of Pontiac, Barbara Decker of Onarga; one brother, James York Sr. of Elliott; and four grandchildren.

Visitation for Dr. Gerald Downie, 97, of Kankakee, will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Dr. Downie died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) at Provena Heritage Village, Kankakee.

McALLEN, Texas - A memorial service for Robert O. Blankenberg, 67, of McAllen, Texas, formerly of Kankakee, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Aroma Park United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Local arrangements are by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Kankakee.
Mr. Blankenberg died Friday (Oct. 27, 2000) in McAllen.
His father, Irving O. Blankenberg; and one brother, William I. Blankenberg, are deceased.

HUNTINGBURG, Ind. - Crosby L. Brouillette, 90, of Huntingburg, Ind., formerly of Manteno, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Jasper, Ind.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today, with a rosary service at 5:30 p.m. at the Nass and Son Funeral Home, Huntingburg.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Huntingburg, where he was a member.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He was born March 8, 1910, in Manteno, the son of Charles and Louise Duchesne Brouillette.
His wife, the former Cecelia Lambert, is deceased.
Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Hinson of Huntingburg, Mary Ellen Scott of English, Ind.; one brother, Fabian Brouillette of Kankakee; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
One grandchild is deceased.
Mr. Brouillette was an accountant and office manager for Chrysler Corporation.

MOMENCE - Earl E. Bruckman, 84, of Momence, died Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at Momence Meadows Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cotter Funeral Home, Momence.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Momence, where he was a member. Rev. Dennis Settles will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Momence.
Memorials may be made for Masses or to St. Patrick Academy in Momence.
Mr. Bruckman retired from Manteno Stone Quarry and operated Bruckman Trucking and Excavating for over 20 years.
He was born May 10, 1916, in Momence, the son of LeRoy and Alma DuFrain Bruckman.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian L. Kleinert, whom he married
Feb. 18, 1939, in Momence; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Jim Thyfault, Allyson and Bill Halpin, Melanie and Miles Zahradnik, all of Momence; one daughter-in-law, Geri Bruckman of Bourbonnais; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
