Visitation for Lorraine A. Fanthorpe, 85, a resident of Kankakee for 55 years, was from 9:30 a.m. today until the 11 a.m. services at St. Mark United Methodist Church, Kankakee. Rev. Kathy Sweet officiated.
Cremation rites were accorded by the Hertz-Thoma Crematory.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
She died Friday (July 26, 2002) at Miller Center.
Mrs. Fanthorpe had been a trust officer at First Trust and Savings Bank of Kankakee.
She was born May 10, 1917, in Chicago, the daughter of Joe C. and Martha Handke Weitz. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, John G. Fanthorpe, whom she married
June 20, 1936, is deceased.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Pat Fanthorpe of Naperville, Robert and Diane Fanthorpe of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Judy Fanthorpe of Kankakee; 11 grandchildren, John and Mary Fanthorpe of Jenison, Mich., Jill and Joseph Curotto of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., Michael and Debra Fanthorpe, Wendy and Anthony Curcio, Thomas and Stephanie Fanthorpe, David Fanthorpe, Jennifer Fanthorpe, Daniel Fanthorpe, all of Naperville, Linda and Stephen McInerny of Japan, Nancy and Trent Adamson of Tucson, Ariz., Barbara and Robert Childress of Las Vegas, Nev.; and 14 great-grandchildren, Stefan, Nick and Aaron Fanthorpe of Naperville, Samuel, Jacob and Simon Fanthorpe of Jenison, Mich., Caitlyn and Joseph Curotto of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., Hailey and Emma Curcio of Naperville, Nicole and Daniel McInerny of Japan and Cole and Zachary Adamson of Tucson, Ariz.
One sister, Lauretta C. Weitz, is deceased.
Mrs. Fanthorpe was a member of the over 50 Club at St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Dorothy Miner Circle.
She enjoyed playing her organ.
Vera Voigt
BONFIELD -- Visitation for Vera Mae Voigt, 87, of Bonfield, will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Hertz-Thoma Chapel, Kankakee, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Steven Friese will officiate.
Burial will be in Bonfield cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Bonfield First United Methodist Church, where she was a member.
She died Friday (July 26, 2002) at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Voigt was a homemaker.
She was born May 19, 1915 in Bonfield, the daughter of Ben D. and Irma Jolley Kirchner.
Her husband, Leonard C. Voigt, whom she married
May 5, 1934 in Manteno, is deceased.
Surviving are one son, Charles E. Voigt of Urbana; two daughters, Norma E. Dettmann of St. Cloud, Minn., Donna M. Voigt of Bonfield; one daughter-in-law, Doreen Voigt of Bonfield; one sister, Cleo Voigt of Grant Park; one sister-in-law, Gladys Kirchner of Kankakee; four grandchildren, Susan Reising, Scott Voigt, David Dettmann and Michelle Dettmann; and one great-grandchild, Kristen Voigt.
One son, Roger L. Voigt; one son-in-law, Sheldon Dettmann; four brothers, Ralph Kirchner, Harold Kirchner, Bennie Kirchner and Melvin Kirchner; and four sisters, Opal Kirchner, Mabel Moran, Lillian Kraft and Bernice Marth, are deceased.
Mrs. Voigt was a member of W.S.C.S., was an election judge for many years, a charter member of Bonfield H.E.A., a 4-H Leader for 27 years, and a member of the Bonfield Lioness Club.
Raymond Yarneau
BEAVERVILLE -- Raymond E. Yarneau, 63, of Beaverville, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) at Watseka Health Care.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home, St. Anne.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Beaverville, where he was a member. Rev. Robert Coleman will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Beaverville.
Memorials may be made to his family.
Mr. Yarneau had worked at Bradley Roper.
He was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Beaverville, the son of Edward and Dolly Belanger Yarneau. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former JoAnne Baranowski, whom he married
June 27, 1970, in St. Anne; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Joy Yarneau of Watseka; one daughter, Susan Jones of Martinton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gerald and Teresa Yarneau of Kankakee, Bernard and Dolores Yarneau and Larry Yarneau, all of Beaverville; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter Mary; and one brother, Richard, are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Beaverville American Legion Post 877.
He was also a member of the Beaverville Fire Department for over 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing.
Wilma Alexander
PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Wilma A. Alexander, 73, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Bradley and Kankakee, died Tuesday (July 23, 2002) at her home.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mrs. Alexander was born May 16, 1929 in Flannigan Township, Hamilton County. She moved to Arizona in 1986.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet Regnier and Bonnie Arseneau; one brother, Lewis Massey; one sister, Gail Skinner; one sister-in-law, Kate Massey; three grandchildren, Christine, Paul and Jayson; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Clayton.
Russell Bertsch Sr.
CHEBANSE -- Russell J. Bertsch Sr., 75, of Chebanse, died Saturday (July 27, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Marie R. Carlson, 88, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Kankakee, died Monday (July 22, 2002).
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home in Las Vegas.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Queen of Martyrs Church in Las Vegas.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens South cemetery.

Mrs. Carlson was born Dec. 22, 1913 in Kankakee, the daughter of William and Celina LeBeau Dupuis.

Two brothers, Rudolph and Leo; one sister-in-law, Crystal; and one brother-in-law, Robert, are deceased.
Georgia Compton
PONTIAC -- Georgia A. Compton, 87, of Pontiac, died Friday (July 26, 2002) at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. service at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Pontiac.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in rural Pontiac.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Pontiac, where he was a member, or a charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Compton was born Jan. 21, 1915 in Bisbee, Ariz., the daughter of George Ellsworth and Zora Blanche Jacobs Boyd.
Her first husband, Donald Bratt, whom she married
Dec. 29, 1929, died in 1980.
She married
Charlie Boyd in 1984. He died in 1987.
Surviving are her husband, Jack Compton, whom she married
May 2, 1988 in Palamara, Mo., of Pontiac; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jim Haag of Cullom, Cheri and Armand Strutzenberg of Berwyn; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Natalie Boyd of Pontiac.
Two sons in infancy, Jerry Duane and Donald James Bratt; one daughter, Barbara A. Weiner; two brothers, Ernie Porter and Hugh Boyd; and two sisters, Mae Noel and Viola Simpson, are deceased.
Mrs. Compton was a real estate broker in Cicero for 22 years, retiring in 1984.
She attended country schools near Pontiac and attended Junior College in Berwyn.
Marjorie Condit
GILMAN -- Visitation for Marjorie L. Condit, 80, of Gilman, will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. services at United Methodist Church in Gilman. Rev. Gary L. Fairchild will officiate.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church in Gilman, where she was a member, or the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Condit died suddenly Friday (July 26, 2002) at her home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1921 in Gilman, the daughter of Edward and Pearl Ward Garrison.
Her husband, Ivan G. Condit, whom she married
Sept. 2, 1941 in Gilman, died March 23, 1988.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Howard Henrichs of Bloomington, Jo and Dennis Johnson of Danforth. Joyce and David Urban of Beecher; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Garrison of Tacoma, Wash.
One sister, Barbara Hoffman; and one brother, Wilbert Garrison, are deceased.
Mrs. Condit was a life-long Gilman area resident, having lived and then farmed on her family's farm east of Gilman from 1921 to 1987.
She was a homemaker, and also worked as a sales clerk at the Prim & Trim Shoppe in Gilman.
She attended the Grubb Country School and graduated from Gilman High School.
She was a member of Happy Hour Womens Club of the Gilman Area and a member of Dorcas Circle at United Methodist Church in Gilman.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and their activities, and playing cards with friends.

Charles Frauli
WILLOW HILL -- Charles Andrew Frauli, 80, of rural Willow Hill, father of a Dwight resident, died Tuesday (July 23, 2002) at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Services were held July 27 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Saint Marie, Ill. Rev. Alan McIntosh officiated.
Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery in Saint Marie, with full military rites by the Ste. Marie American Legion Post 932 and the Newton VFW Post 7537.
Mr. Frauli was born May 11, 1922 in Saint Marie, the son of John S. and Sarah Elizabeth Clark Frauli.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Ruby D. Utley, whom he married
Sept. 25, 1942, of Willow Hill; six sons and five daughters-in-law, James Frauli of Peoria, Ariz., John R. and Holly Frauli of Dwight, George and Marcia Frauli of Edinburg, Donald E. and Denise Frauli of Garland, Texas, George D. and Shirley Frauli of Lawrence, Ind., Tom and Cindy Frauli of Newton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet K. and Robert Rea of West Branch, Mich., Phyllis and Hank Rudolphi of Newton; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan Ochs of Olney, Helen and Art Linder of Robinson, Bertha Rodgers of Ste. Marie; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers; and one sister, are deceased.
Mr. Frauli was a World War 2 veteran, serving in the United States Army.
He retired from Fedders Corp., where he was a metal finisher for 42 years.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, a life member of the Newton VFW Post 7537; a member of Disabled American Veterans, Ste. Marie American Legion Post 932, and a 50-year member of the Olney Moose Lodge.
