Rosemary F. Seedorf, 85, of Kankakee, died Wednesday (July 24, 2002) at Manorcare Health Services.
Visitation and services will be private. Rev. Edward Hedding will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church.

She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of John and Marie Powers Fisher.
Her husband, Marvin L. Seedorf Sr., whom she married
Oct. 3, 1936, in Kankakee, died in January 2000.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin "Bud" Jr. and Lynn Seedorf of Kankakee; one daughter, Rebecca Seedorf-Hewkin of Kankakee; two sisters; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Jason Hadley of Holly Springs, N.C., Thomas and Stacey Hewkin of Bourbonnais; and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Jon Dennis Seedorf; and two sisters, are deceased.
She was a 1934 graduate of Kankakee High School.
Mrs. Seedorf was a member of the PTA, band parents, Woman's Club and a Girl Scout Leader. She also was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, antique shopping, playing cards and traveling.
Johannah Smith
MOMENCE -- Johannah Rose Smith, 83, of Momence, died Friday (July 19, 2002) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
There will be no visitation or services.
She donated her remains to the Anatomical Gift Society.
Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Terra Haute, Ind., the daughter of William and Edith Noble McLean.
Her husband, Raymond Smith, whom she married
Nov. 15, 1969, in Joliet, died May 22, 1983.
Surviving are one daughter, Wilhelmina Koenig of Momence; and one granddaughter, Tammy Rose Smith of Momence.
Alice Norden
A funeral Mass for Alice D. Norden, 89, of Kankakee, was celebrated July 24 at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Irwin. Rev. James Holup officiated.
Mrs. Norden died July 21, 2002.
Burial was in Sts. Mary and Joseph cemetery, Chebanse. Pallbearers were Ed Offerman, Ernie Pitts, Howard Offerman, Dallas Ferris, Rick White and Adam Norden.
Joseph Kottendorf
Services for Joseph Kottendorf, 72, of Bradley, were held July 24 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kankakee. Rev. Walter Griesmeyer officiated.
Mr. Kottendorf died July 20, 2002.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were John Boudreau, Matt Kastor, Mike Meyer, Roger Rainbolt, Bruce Cowhig and James Wasser.
Maxine Ward
Visitation for Maxine L. Ward, 73, of Bradley, will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the Senesac Kankakee Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Ward died Wednesday (July 24, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
She was born March 4, 1929, in Cropsey, the daughter of Louis and Minnie Hoskins Putnam.
Her husband, Ray E. Ward, whom she married
in 1946, died in 1983.
Surviving are two sons, T.R. "Terry" Ward of Kankakee, Wesley "Wes" Ward of Bradley; and one granddaughter, Tracie Goin of Naples, Fla.
Three brothers, Arthur, Roy and Archie Putnam, are deceased.
Rosa Wiles
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. -- Rosa Wood Wiles, 86, of Blountville, Tenn., and the relative of area residents, died Wednesday (June 19, 2002) at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Services were held June 21 at the Akard Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harry Fleenor officiated.
Committal services were held June 22 at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Her husband, K.G. "Ikey" Wiles, is deceased.

Wood of Tarboro, N.C. and Jerry Wood of Illinois; two half-sisters, Virginia Wood of Montana and Gaynell Taylor of Gilman; one granddaughter and two stepgrandsons; several nieces and nephews, including Nancy Johnson of Kankakee; and special friend and caregiver, Joyce Harlow.
One sister, Gay Ball; and one brother, Harold Wood, are deceased.
She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Visitation for Magnolia "Mag" Womack, 75, of Kankakee, will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the 10 a.m. services at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. William Copeland will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee.
She died Saturday (July 20, 2002) at Momence Meadows Nursing Center.
Mrs. Womack had been a mental health tech, daycare provider and laborer.
She was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Crawford, Miss., the daughter of Bert and Lucinda Jones Brooks.

March 4, 1983, in Kankakee, of Detroit, Mich.; one sister, Elenora Shields of Kankakee; special great-grandnephew, Chittorious Coleman of Springfield; special great-grandniece, Stella Coleman of Kankakee; one great-great-great-grandnephew; three great-great-grandnieces and one great-great-great-grandniece; friends, Lillie Baptist and Exie Kizer; and several nieces and nephews. Eight sisters; three brothers; and her niece that she raised, Rosie Hawkins, are deceased.
Roger Blanchette

LA MESA, Calif. -- Roger P. Blanchette, 78, of La Mesa, Calif., formerly of Bradley, died Wednesday (July 10, 2002).
Services with military honors were held July 25 at Fort Rosecrans National cemetery, Point Loma, Calif.

Mr. Blanchette was a chief quartermaster in the U.S. Navy retiring after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Bradley, the son of Adelore and Sarah Cassel Blanchette.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marilyn Yvonne Schottin, whom he married
June 2, 1945, in Kankakee, of La Mesa; one daughter, Denise Keyes of Santee, Calif.; one son, Jeffery Blanchette of Lemon Grove, Calif.; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; one brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Frances Blanchette of Manteno; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Jack and Mary Schott and Ione Schott, all of Kankakee; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Two sisters, Ida Vickroy and Esther Mathis; and two brothers, Lester Blanchette and Virgil Blanchette, are deceased.
He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.

GILMAN -- Marjorie Condit, 80, of Gilman, died today (July 26, 2002) at her home.

Lucy Anna Fleming

The family of Lucy Anna (Pallissard) Fleming sadly announces the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who departed this world on July 24, 2002.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1911, in Milford, Ill. She was the daughter of Jno. P. Pallissard and May E. (Johnson) Pallissard.
Lucy Anna graduated from Watseka Community High School and attended Gallagher's Business College in Kankakee.
Her first marriage was to John B. Russell. To this marriage were born Michael Bartlett Russell and Jo Ann Russell. Another child, Jacqueline May Russell, died shortly after birth.
On June 30, 1948, Lucy Anna married
Milo J. Fleming. Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, a prominent probate, trial, appellate and municipal attorney. Milo was the city attorney of Watseka for more than 34 years. To this marriage was born a daughter, Elizabeth Charlene Fleming.
As a young woman, Lucy Anna lived in Chicago at the Girl's Club. She worked for both Traffic World and for a diamond import firm. After returning to her hometown of Watseka, she worked for the law firm shared by her father and husband. Lucy Anna had a long history of involvement and leadership in civic and charitable organizations. She was a charter member and first president of the Junior Women's Club of Watseka. She was also a founding member of Beta Sigma Phi and Ladies Encampment Auxiliary No. 81, IOOF, and a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges, all of Watseka.
Lucy was a talented musician and wordsmith. Mrs. Fleming's legacy is one of love and kindness, generosity and humor, and a tremendous zest for life. She will be deeply missed.
Lucy Anna was preceded in death by her two step-sisters, Annette (Pallissard) Caillouette and Rosella (Pallissard) English.
She is survived by her three children: one son, Michael B. Russell of Seattle, Wash. and two daughters, Jo Ann (Russell) Clemens and Elizabeth (Fleming) Weber, both of Wilmette, Ill. Lucy Anna is also survived by six grandchildren: Debra (Russell) Olson, Jacqueline Russell and Melissa Russell, all of Seattle, Wash., Danielle Clemens of Wilmette, Ill., Justin Clemens, Captain of the yacht "So Far" sailing out of Door County, Wis., and Michael Weber of Wilmette, Ill. She also has three great-grandchildren in Seattle: Zoe, Lysander and Tallulah Olson.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Watseka, with Dr. Joe Scheets officiating. Burial will be in Flesher cemetery, Crescent City. Memorials may be made in her name to the Palliative Care Center and Hospice of the North Shore in Evanston, Ill., or to the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, Ill.
