Shirley Dockery
ETOWAH, Tenn. -- Services for Shirley Lorene Dockery, 46, of Etowah, Tenn., and the sister of Bourbonnais residents, were held at 10 a.m. today at the Bordwine Funeral Home, Etowah. Rev. Joe Mullins officiated.
Burial was in McMinn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Alex Tutt, Jeff Latham, Michael Moody, Jason Casteel, Titus Snyder and Nathan Leamon.
Mrs. Dockery died Wednesday (July 17, 2002) at Blount Memorial Hospital, of cancer.
Surviving are her husband, Chris Dockery of Etowah; five daughters, Carrie Freeman of Athens, Tenn., Ammie Stanton of Niota, Tenn., Jessica Dockery of Cleveland, Tenn., Samantha Morrow of Athens, Tenn., Kristen Dockery of Etowah; two sons, Ethan Dockery of Etowah, Charles Stanton of California; her father, Robert C. Irwin of Benton, Tenn.; her mother and stepfather, Lora M. and Harold Redenius of Etowah, Tenn.; five grandchildren; one sister, Denise Doyal of Griffin, Ga.; three brothers, Mike Irwin and Rick Irwin, both of Bourbonnais, Rex Irwin of Dale, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Melissa Riden.
She was a member of the Old Salem Baptist Church.
Verda Feller
CISSNA PARK -- Verda Behrens Feller, 78, of Elizabethtown, Pa., formerly of Cissna Park, died Saturday (June 8, 2002) in Elizabethtown.
She was born June 2, 1924, in Cissna Park, the daughter of Albert and Sena Behrens.
Her husband, Ben Feller, whom she married
Feb. 24, 1946, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Idaville, died Feb. 8, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Mitchell Feller of Sullivans Island, S.C.; two daughters, Sandy Jones of Media, Pa. and Beth Feller of Secane, Pa; four grandchildren; and one brother, Dennis Behrens of Florida.
One grandchild is deceased.
She graduated from Cissna Park schools.
William Roe

MAZON -- Visitation for William C. Roe, 88, of Mazon, will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Rev. Coleman Coates will officiate.
Burial will be in Ward cemetery, Verona.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood, where he was a member.
He died Wednesday (July 17, 2002) at Morris Hospital.
Mr. Roe was a retired farmer. He had farmed in Grundy County.
He was born June 7, 1914, in Braidwood, the son of Charles and Josephine Cully Roe.
His first wife, the former Eileen McComb, died in 1979.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years, the former Charlene Boyl; one son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Joyce Roe of Morris; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Gary Granby of Verona; two stepdaughters, Patricia (Dale) Clark of Kitty Hawk, N.C. and Helen Sperry of Greensboro, N.C.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildrden and one step-great-grandchild; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margaret Ruffino of Texas, Lois and Jake Volk of Canada; one brother, Harry Roe of Verona; and nieces and nephews.
One grandson, James Roe; and one brother, Chuck Roe, are deceased.
Mr. Roe was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Mazon and was active in the Farm Bureau.
He loved to read.
Willie Turner

Willie Turner, 55, of Kankakee, died Monday (July 15, 2002) at his home.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Leggett Funeral Home, Hopkins Park. Rev. Harold Harros Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens cemetery.
Mr. Turner had been a security guard at Lorenzo Smith School, Hopkins Park.
He was born Jan. 8, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Amos Brandon and Anna Turner. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are one daughter, Shavon Jones of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sons, Dwayne Simmons and Kevin Martin, both of Kankakee; two brothers, Dave Turner and O.C. Turner, both of Hopkins Park; and companion, Wanda Martin of Kankakee; and several grandchildren.
He had been a resident of the area for 49 years.
He enjoyed fishing, farming and working on cars.
Angelo Vellutini

Visitation for Angelo F. "Dino" Vellutini, 86, of Kankakee, will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, with a 6:15 p.m. wake service at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where he was a member.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He died Monday (July 15, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Mr. Vellutini was a retired real estate agent for Blanchette Realty. He was also a longtime employee of Allards Grocery Store, City National Bank and Kankakee School District where he was employed as a bus driver.
He was born April 25, 1916, in Kankakee, the son of Louis and Jennie Darin Vellutini.
His wife, the former Marie Hilton, whom he married
Nov. 20, 1987, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, died March 20, 2001.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Dorothy Vellutini of Kankakee; and two nephews, Robert Vellutini and Stephen Vellutini, both of Kankakee.
One brother, Francis Vellutini; and two sisters, Esther Regnier and Edith Kirkton, are deceased.
Mr. Vellutini was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd and 4th degree.
He enjoyed opera and classical music.
Audrey DesLauriers
A memorial service for Audrey Maxine Wulffe DesLauriers, 83, of Lafayette, Colo., formerly of Kankakee, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kankakee. Rev. Frank A. Warthan will officiate.
Mrs. DesLauriers died May 18, 2002.
Johnnie Zilm
ST. ANNE -- Johnnie Mitchell Zilm, 57, of St. Anne, died Tuesday (July 16, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Arrangements are pending at the Clancy-Gernon-Houk Funeral Home, St. Anne.
Mary Thompson

Visitation for Mary Lou Thompson, 92, of Kankakee, will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. services at Lax Mortuary, Kankakee. Robert Gillespie will officiate.
Burial will be in the Momence cemetery.
She died Sunday (July 14, 2002) at the Kankakee Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Thompson had been a school teacher in Amory, Miss.
She was born Oct. 20, 1909, in Demopolis, Ala., the daughter of Ethel Barlow and George Murf.
Her husband, Elmo Thompson, is deceased.
Surviving are special nephew, Wilbur Rice of Hopkins Park; and other nephews and nieces, Herschel Giddings and X.L. Giddings, both of St. Louis, Mo., Beatrice Stephens of New York, Cleophus Rice of Washington, D.C., Marzetta Washington of Cleveland, Ohio, Margaret Collins, James Rice and Mildred McPherson, all of Detroit, Mich., Otis Rice of Andalusia, Ala. and Henry Rice of Richton Park; and other relatives.
She received her education in Amory, Miss., where she graduated at the top of her class. She attended college in Birmingham, Ala.
Mrs. Thompson was a resident of the area since 1952 and was baptized in 1976 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
She enjoyed reading.
Rita Perschnick

DWIGHT -- Visitation for Rita Marie Perschnick, 75, of Mt. Zion, formerly of Dwight and Plainfield, will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev. William Leppin will officiate.
Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery, Dwight.

She died Monday (July 15, 2002) at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
Mrs. Perschnick had been a medical secretary for Caterpillar in Aurora.
She was born July 2, 1927, in Dwight, the daughter of Elmer and Eulalia Lower Smith.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest Perschnick, whom she married
June 12, 1948, in Dwight; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Steve Sartain of Plainfield, Connie and James Dennis of Bloomington, Bobbie Ann and Steve Eldred, Alan and Diane Perschnick, all of Plainfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jane Smith of Dwight; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
One brother and one grandson are deceased.
Mrs. Perschnick was a graduate of Dwight High School and a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed stitchery, quilting and was traveling.
Martha Fellers
SAUNEMIN -- Services for Martha Marie Fellers, 86, of Saunemin, were held July 15 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cullom. Rev. Ed Stone officiated.
Mrs. Fellers died July 12, 2002.
Burial was in Sunny Slope cemetery, Saunemin. Pallbearers were Jeff Pittman, Wayne Falter, Gary, Jim, Henry and Joe Eggenberger.
Ricky Matuszewski
CHATSWORTH -- Services for Ricky Lee Matuszewski Sr., 49, of Chatsworth, were held July 16 at the Reilly-Redenius Funeral Home, Piper City. Rev. Edward R. Stone officiated.
Mr. Matuszewski died July 12, 2002.
Burial was in Brenton cemetery, Piper City. Pallbearers were Dave and Jim Carpenter, David Opperman, William Manhart, Darwyn and Dennis Wahls. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Eilders, Danny, Jason and Justin George, Dale Stokes and Les Styck.
