Genevieve M. Januski, 93, of Bradley, died Thursday (July 11, 2002) at Bradley Royale Health Care Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley.
Burial will be in Maternity cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member.

She was born June 2, 1902, in Bradley, the daughter of Peter and Matilda Kyrouac Bellmore.
Her husband, Walter Januski, whom she married
June 12, 1932, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, died Sept. 2, 1997.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert and Alice Januski of Campbellsville, Ky., Dr. Thomas and Carol Januski of Prescott, Ariz.; two daughters and one son-in-law, MaryLou Evans of St. Anne, Kathy and Robert Kibbons of Bradley; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Twelve brothers and sisters are deceased.
Mrs. Januski was a former employee of Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School.
She enjoyed playing cards.

WILMINGTON -- Janet M. LaPage, 64, of Wilmington, died Sunday (July 7, 2002).
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church, 401 E. Kahler Road, Wilmington. Revs. David Lagos-Fonseca and Shirley Fonseca will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington, the Praise Ringers Hand Bell Choir of the First United Methodist Church, Joliet Area Hospice, or to the Wilmington Fire Protection District Angels.
Reeves Funeral Home, Wilmington, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. LaPage was a first grade teacher for the Troy School District in Shorewood for 31 years and retired in 1993.
She was born March 9, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Andrew and Edith Carlson. Her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Edward R. LaPage; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Tom Martin, Diane and Barry Oswald, all of Wilmington; one sister, Charlotte Vikstrom; one brother-in-law, Allen and Jewel LaPage of Wilmington; three nieces and two nephews; and five grandchildren.
She led the adult discussion group, was active in and founder of the Praise Ringers Hand Bell Choir and served as a Lay Leader for the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington.
John Vinardi
John Vinardi, 40, of Bradley, formerly of Cicero, died suddenly Wednesday (July 10, 2002).
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Saturday at the Salerno-Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., Chicago.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Surviving are one daughter, Amanda Vinardi; one son, Eddie Vinardi; three brothers, Joe Vinardi, Mike Vinardi, Ricky Vinardi; two sisters-in-law, Donna Vinardi and Robin Vinardi; 10 nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
His father, grandparents and one great-niece, are deceased.
Mr. Vinardi enjoyed motorcycles, go-karts and drag racing.
Marvin Bitner

MANHATTAN -- Marvin W. Bitner, 86, of Manhattan, died Tuesday (July 9, 2002) at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 11 a.m. services at the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan. Rev. Harvey Russell will officiate.
Burial will be in the Providence Ridge cemetery, Elwood.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Bible Church, Joliet, where he was a member.
Mr. Bitner farmed his entire life in the Manhattan area and was a member of the Will County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Lela Meyer Bitner; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gerald Carpenter of Manhattan; one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Sophie Bitner of Australia; three grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Bitner of Joliet; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, William and Ethel Morse Bitner; two brothers, Ellis Bitner and Roger Bitner; and one sister-in-law, Madeline Bitner, are deceased.

ST. ANNE -- Mary E. "Sunne'" Brasmer, 77, of St. Anne, died Wednesday (July 10, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Cremation rites were accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kankakee, where she was a member. Rev. Frank Warthan will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

She was born April 17, 1925, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Joseph and Nina Fern Yates Hoskins.

June 30, 1944, in Fort Collins, Colo., of St. Anne; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Christopher Yates Brasmer of Albuquerque, N.M., T. Mathew and Mary Brasmer of LaCrescent, Mich., Andrew Mark Brasmer of Rock Hall, Md.; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan Huntington and Ernie Cox of St. Anne; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren and one brother, Robert Hoskins, are deceased.

Graveside services, with military rites, for Robert Charles "R.C." Echols, 69, of Kankakee, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood.
Jones Funeral Home, Kankakee, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Echols died Monday (July 8, 2002) at Manorcare Health Services.
He had worked at Bunge Edible Oil for 31 years.
He was born March 25, 1933, in Osceola, Ark., the son of Sullus and Gladys Davis Echols. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Sanders, Jarame Sanders and Jarmane Sanders, all of Kankakee; three daughters, Ann Sanders, Sherry Sanders and Theresa Sanders, all of Kankakee; one sister, Shirley E. Hannah of Wilson, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
One sister and one brother are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
He enjoyed fishing.
William Kous
William "Bill" F. Kous, 81, of Bourbonnais, died Wednesday (July 10, 2002) at his home.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais, where he was a member. Rev. John Peeters will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

He was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Chicago, the son of Zygmund and Zofia Helminiak Kous. His parents are deceased.

II and Linda Kous of New Lenox; one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Stephen Gooder of Texas; two stepsons, Michael and Linda Hom of Virginia, Marc and Darlene Hom of Ohio; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Studzinski of Indiana, Bernice and Donald Olson of Oak Park; three grandchildren, Robert Gooder, Matthew Kous and Janissa Gooder; three step-grandchildren, Michael Hom, Alicia Hom and Sara Hom; and good friend, Tom Curnette of Texas.
Several sisters and two brothers are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and a member of the Bradley American Legion.
Mr. Kous worked for 42 years as a blast furnace keeper for L.T.V. in East Chicago, retiring in February 1983.
He enjoyed working in his shed, yard work and fishing.
Donald Vacca,

COAL CITY -- Donald J. Vacca, 77, of Coal City, died Tuesday (July 9, 2002) at Morris Hospital from emphysema.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Reeves Funeral Home, Coal City, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Michael Pennock will officiate.
Burial will be in the Braceville-Gardner cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Peters, Raymond Zawrazky, William Gordon, Gary Lissy Jr., Jeff Kasher and Dave Hahn. Honorary pallbearers will be Wally Halliday, Charles "Bud" Butler and Gary Lissy Sr.
Memorials may be made to the Morris Hospital Foundation, Patient Transportation or to the Coal City Emergency Squad.
He was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Carbon Hill, the son of Joseph and Martha Hearth Vacca.
Surviving are his wife, the former Delores Bertino, whom he married
Aug. 17, 1947; one son, John Vacca of Coal City; two daughters, Donna Gordon of Coal City, Carla Vacca of Dillsburg, Pa.; one grandson, Dave Hahn of Rantoul; one great-granddaughter; and several cousins.
One brother is deceased.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific.
Mr. Vacca was a 48-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers 150 and was employed as an operator for construction until his retirement in 1987.
He was a member of the VFW and the Braidwood Masonic Lodge AF&AM; 704.

CORNELL -- Visitation for E. Clinton Mills, 85, of Cornell, and the father of a Chebanse resident, will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Randy Perry and Rev. Carroll Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Camp-Esmen cemetery, rural Odell.
Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan, First Baptist Church, Cornell or to the donor's choice.
Mr. Mills died Wednesday (July 10, 2002) at Good Samaritan Home, Flanagan, where he had been a resident since April 24, 1997.
He had farmed many years in the Cornell area and had retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
He had been a member and former chief of the Cornell Fire Department, a member of the Cornell Community Club and had served on the village board of trustees of Cornell.
Mr. Mills was born May 7, 1917, in Cornell, the son of Edward J. and Grace Murphy Mills.
Surviving are his wife, the former S. Gayle Beaman, whom he married
Jan. 8, 1935, in Joliet, of Cornell; five daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Al Durre of Flanagan, Kathy and Jerry Erschen of Goshen, Ind., Kris and Larry Gamblin of Cornell, Kandi and Randy Perry of Normal, Kim and Ron Schulz of Pontiac; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Kipton "Butch" and Nettie Mills of Chebanse, Billy K. and JoAnne Mills of Dixon and Rose Mills of Cornell; 25 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Grimm of Pontiac.
Three sons, Kendall, Kaye and Keith Mills; one great-granddaughter, Lindsey Woodworth; three brothers; and three sisters, are deceased.
He was a 1935 graduate of Cornell High School.
He was a member and former trustee of the First Baptist Church, Cornell, and a member of the Moose Lodge, Pontiac and Elks Lodge, Streator.
