FAIRBURY -- Barbara Wiechman, 69, of Fairbury, and a former Coal City resident, died Tuesday (July 2, 2002) at Walnut Grove Healthcare Center in Morris.
Services were held July 8 in Georgetown, Ill.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Wiechman was a high school home economics teacher for 35 years in LeRoy, Piper City and Coal City.
She was born April 30, 1933, in Georgetown, the daughter of Ben and Mae Howard Jones.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Wiechman of Fairbury, whom she married
Sept. 26, 1992 in Georgetown; her mother of Georgetown; one brother and sister-in-law, Kirby and Charlotte Jones of Georgetown; one niece; one great-niece and one great-nephew; and many cousins.
She was a graduate of Illinois State University, Normal.
She loved to antique shop.
Bess Everts
LOCKPORT -- Bess F. Everts, 90, of Lockport, and a former Coal City resident, died Friday (July 5, 2002) at her home.
Services were held July 9 at the O'Neil Funeral Home, Lockport. Rev. Julie Harley officiated.
Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery, Lemont.
Memorials may be made to the Joliet Area Hospice.
She was born in Coal City, the daughter of Frank and Mary Pavlis Swartz.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Ruth Everts of Diamond, Robert and Arlene Everts of Mokena, Jerry and Deborah Everts of Midlothian; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Josephine Friddle of Wilmington, Shirley and John Blizzard of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles Farmer
LOMBARD -- Charles "Chuck" Farmer, 33, of Lombard, and the relative of area residents, died Tuesday (July 9, 2002) at his home from brain cancer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. services at Ferrari Funeral Services in Coal City.
Burial will be in the Braceville Gardner cemetery.

He was born June 25, 1969, in Champaign, the son of Claude and Judy Farmer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nora Schaller of Lombard; two children, Rachel Smith and Shannon Sabol; his parents of Champaign; and other relatives.
He graduated in 1992 from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Mr. Farmer worked as a computer network administrator for Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
He was a youth soccer coach with the Champaign Park District and volunteered his time with the Boys and Girls Club of Elgin.
E. Clinton Mills
CORNELL -- E. Clinton Mills, 85, of Cornell, and the father of area residents, died today (July 10, 2002) at Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.
Arrangements are pending at the Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Pontiac.
Ethel Vogel,

MARINETTE, Wis. -- Ethel D. Vogel, 58, of Marinette, Wis., and the mother of area residents, died Monday (July 8, 2002) at the Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, after a short illness.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the 11 a.m. services at the Danforth Reformed Church. Rev. Donald MacDonald III will officiate.
Burial will be in the Danforth cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vogel was a carrier for Eaglehearld Publishing Inc. and a professional clown.
She was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Drake, the daughter of Pearl Sr. and Ethel Barno Cottingham. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Fred Harris, is deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Adam and Debra Cottingham of Detroit, Mich., Michael and Jerome (Bizefski) Vogel of Marinette, Wis., Randy and Elanore Vogel of Pekin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ethel and Rick Miller of Danforth, Theresa and Randy Musser of Sheldon; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pearl Cottingham Jr. of Pekin, David Cottingham of Creve Coeur; and one sister, Barbara Rigney of Coffeyville, Kan.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and a volunteer at the Salem Historical Society.
She enjoyed crafts, fishing and singing praise and worship music.
Hazel Rogers
CARRIER MILLS -- A memorial service for Hazel Rogers, 64, of Carrier Mills, and the relative of area residents, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kankakee. Revs. Curt Boyer and Karl Koeppen will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Rogers died Monday (July 8, 2002) at Western Baptist Hospital, Paducah, Ky.
Judith Baker
Judith J. Baker, 64, of Bradley, died today (July 10, 2002) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais.
Marianne Mayr
Marianne Frieda Mayr, 67, of Bradley, died Sunday (July 7, 2002) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bradley, where she was a member.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood.
She was born Dec. 20, 1934, the daughter of Emil and Frieda Waibel Bury.
Surviving are her husband, Troy Mayr, whom she married
Aug. 29, 1959; one son, Christian Mayr of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Adam Dyer of Hughesville, Md.; one sister and brother-in-law, Johanna and Fritz Schneider of Ihringen, Germany; and one granddaughter.
After completing her associate's degree in Child Development at Prairie State Junior College, she worked as a day care specialist. She retired from Shapiro Developmental Center after 13 years of service as a mental health technician.
Prior to coming to America, she worked as a stenographer/typist at the Regierungs Gebauede in Freiburg, Germany.
She enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques, gardening and sewing.
Bernice Cline
SHELDON -- Graveside services for Bernice Matilda Cline, 86, of Iroquois, formerly of Sheldon, were held July 6 at Prairie Dell cemetery in Iroquois. Rev. Tom McCann officiated.
Mrs. Cline died June 26, 2002.
Pallbearers were Randy, Douglas and Gary Lueke, Ronald Wall, Michael Cotter and Brian Bell.
Atwood Smith
SHELDON -- Services for Atwood Smith, 67, of Sheldon, were held July 6 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Revs. Gary Milton and James Childress co-officiated.
Mr. Smith died July 3, 2002.
Burial was in Sheldon cemetery. Pallbearers were John Strahl, Ray Galyen, Jim Huff, Carroll Conley, Frank Davenport and Gaylord Lottinville.
Francis Monnette
MANTENO -- A funeral Mass for Francis "Beecher" Monnette Sr., 90, of Manteno, was celebrated July 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno. Rev. Edward Grotovsky officiated.
Mr. Monnette died June 29, 2002.
Burial was in Mount Calvary cemetery, Kankakee. Pallbearers were Frank and Joe Zagata, Darrel Monnette and Charles Perrier.
Julia Seemann
MOMENCE -- Services for Julia Ann Seeman, 81, of Momence, formerly of Grant Park, were held July 8 at First Baptist Church in Momence. Rev. William Steger officiated.
Mrs. Seeman died July 4, 2002.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Jay and Joe Snapp, Jaime Hibbs, John Workman, Jeremy Seeman and Ray Jacobsen. Honorary pallbearer was John Seeman.
Theodore Dean
LIMESTONE -- Services for Theodore "Kenny" Dean, 75, of Limestone Township, were held July 6 at Hertz-Thoma Chapel in Kankakee. Rev. Terry Harman officiated.
Mr. Dean died July 2, 2002.
Burial was in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Lacy, Greg Eltalabani, Chad and Tim Dean, James Rehbers and Pete Diaz. Honorary Pallbearers were James Hilgema, Charlie Wirtz, James Prater, Jerry Parson and Darrell Butler.
Margie Kimmel
WATSEKA -- Services for Margie Gayle Kimmel, 56, of Watseka, were held July 3 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth. Rev. James Gerth officiated.
Miss Kimmel died June 30, 2002.
Burial was in the Danforth cemetery. Pallbearers were Jay, Jon and Roger Young, Douglas Rousey, Kris Kimmel and Aaron Johnson. Honorary pallbearer was Joe Rousey.
