Rosalina A. Taeza
Rosalina A. Taeza, 80, of Waukegan, IL, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 at the St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. She was born March 23, 1924 in the Philippines, was a former resident of Mundelein, living in Waukegan for the past eight years. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waukegan.
Surviving are four children, Deborah (Orlando) Morala, Bhelen (Ariel) De La Cruz and Celicia (Mario) Abadesa, all living in the Philippines and Zenaida (Charles) Arms of Waukegan; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also, two brothers living in the Philippines and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Juana Alagao; by her husband, Eleuterio Taeza in 2001; and a brother.

Richard Hull Baughman
Richard Hull Baughman, age 70 of Gurnee, formerly of Deerfield, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Born February 29, 1936 in Chicago to Richard R. & Elizabeth (nee Hull) Baughman, Richard attended Highland Park High School, Drake University in Iowa, and graduated from Lake Forest College. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army Corps and was a retired stockbroker for Baird of Lake Forest. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He attended Joy Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Deerfield Lions Club. Beloved husband to Doris; devoted father to Lisa (Jim) Vielbig, Richard (Lylann) Baughman; stepfather to Donnie (Terri) Schramm and Dannie (Missy) Schramm; and adoring grandfather of Laura and Nick Vielbig, Austin, Christopher, Danielle, Vaughn, and Jaden Schramm. Richard was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents.

Bertha "Bertie" Labus
Bertha "Bertie" Labus, 91, a former resident of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Brooke Grove Rehab & Nursing Center in Sandy Spring, MD. She was born July 21, 1914 in Sault Ste Marie, MI and had been a Waukegan resident for many years.
She was a member of St. Anastasia Parish.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Carol) Labus of Wildwood, IL, Jack (Ann) Labus of New Port Richey, FL, Dan (Pam Niemi) Labus of Waukegan, Betsy (Danny) Ristow of Escondido, CA, Tim (Janice) Labus of Wendon, VA, Peg (Chip Wright) Labus of Queen Creek, AZ, David (Stella) Labus of Waukegan and Brian (Mary) Labus of Waukegan; 41 grandchildren; and 65 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter "Buddy" Labus; her daughter, Ruth Stebbins; and her parents, Joseph and Laura (nee Gagnon) Matheson.

Helen E. Elliott
Helen E. Elliott, 85, of Gurnee, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. Helen was born on August 17, 1920 in Highland Park, IL and married
William Elliott in 1939 in Waukegan. She owned and operated Dresden Beauty Salon in Gurnee from 1951-1985. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukegan and past president of the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Ron) Wendt of Gurnee, IL, Judith (David) Zubick of New Richmond, WI and Susan ( Stanley Ciszewski) Elliott of Gurnee, IL; seven grandchildren, Debra, Melissa Wendt, Kimberly (Ron) Riggs, Kevin and Brian Bodigheimer, Amanda (Rob) Bodine, and Glen (Jamie) Ciszewski; one great-grandson, Owen Bodine; and one sister, Ruth (Marvin) Ludwig of Kalamazoo, MI; two nieces, Rhonda Ludwig and Robin (John) Lovely; two nephews, Kenneth and Jeffrey Bjorkman; and one niece LaVonne Curtis; and a special friend, Ed Montez.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1992; one brother, Kenneth Bjorkman; one nephew, William Bjorkman; and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Bjorkman.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 11 AM at the Salata-Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, with Pastor Steven Radunzel officiating. Interment will follow at North Shore Garden of Memories.

Genevieve Kerley "Jackie"
Genevieve "Jackie" Kerley, beloved wife of Donald Kerley passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at home with her family. Jackie was born August 26, 1922 in Waukegan and was a lifetime resident of Waukegan. Prior to her 1984 retirement from Abbott Laboratiories, she received many awards for her suggestions including 7 star award dinner and a trip to Dallas to receive 1st Runner-Up National Suggester of the Year. Jackie was a member of St. Anastasia Parish.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, Donald, Jackie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Judy Camarato; her grandchildren, Julie (Kurt Weiss) Camarato and Doug (Amy) Camarato and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose (nee Castrogiovanni) Gargone and her sisters, Phyllis Robison, Mary DeBennette, Frances Snider, Sadie Gargone and Rae Meyer.

Beatrice Ann Troost
Beatrice Ann Troost of Mettawa, IL, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born in Chicago, was a former 20 year resident of Glenview, living in Mettawa for the past 13 years. As a young woman, Beatrice was a model and entertainer and for the past 25 years has been very involved with cat rescue services. She was a member of St. Joseph Pariah and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Libertyville.
Surviving are her husband, Peter Troost of Skokie; her daughter, Becky (Philip) Vacara of Wales and grandchildren, Justin and Leif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Beatrice Adorjan.

William George Burfield
William George Burfield, 85, of Gurnee, IL, went to join his beloved wife, Margaret M. Burfield, in heaven on Saturday, April 15, 2006, at the V.A. Medical Center in North Chicago.
William was born on January 7, 1921, in Ridgeway, PA, and served with the United States Army in World War II in the Pacific Aleutian Islands. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, AM VETS, and Cooties Club American Legion Post 281. William was also a member of the Lake County Baptist Temple. He was a volunteer at the VA Hospital for 20 years and loved to play his harmonica for his family, friends, and anyone in need of a smile.
Survivors include one son, Steve Burfield; three daughters, Susan M. Oun, Norma J. Anderson, and Margaret E. Stam; five granddaughters; three grandsons; three great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; son, Dan burfield; and daughter, Bonnie Burfield.

Mary Ann Hansen, age 68 of Round Lake, died April 16, 2006 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Born September 22, 1937 in Chicago to James & Bertha Connolly.
Mary Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake.
Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, James; her children James Hansen II of Round Lake, Ken (Cathy) Hansen of Round Lake Beach, and Michelle (David) Yarc of Round Lake Beach; her grandchildren Cassandra Hansen and Sarah Yarc; and her sister Shirley (Will) Metz of Lake Geneva, WI.

LeRoy F. "Lee" Miller
LeRoy F. "Lee" Miller, 71 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Monday, April 17, 2006 at his home. Lee was born on August 10, 1934 in Waukegan, IL. He attended Whittier Elementary School and Waukegan Township High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1959. Following his discharge from service, Lee worked for the Lake County Highway Department where he was the Director of Maintenance until his retirement 37 years later at the age of 55. Lee was a member of Lutheran Church of All Saints in Fox Lake, a member of the Antioch Moose Lodge #525 and a member of the Bristol Oaks Golf League. Lee enjoyed spending time at his summer home in Door County golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen (Garvin); step-daughters, Renee Horton and Robin (John) Stewart; step-son, Ryan Horton (Christine Hildebrandt); grandchildren, Emily Horton, Austin and Megan Stewart; sisters, Elaine Lauer and Beverly (Don) Moitzfield; sisters-in-law, Rae Del Miller, Peggy VanPatten, Norma (Scotty) Lowe, Judi (James) Butler, Wendy (Brian) Carey, Helen Graham, Eileen Graham, Caroline Graham, Ann Skyrius and Mary Carey; brothers-in-law, Roland Means, F. T. "Mike" (Geri) Graham and John (Virginia) Mullery. Born November 24, 1941 in Kenosha, WI. passed away April 16, 2006 in Beach Park, IL.
Survived by children, Penny (Norman) Lasecki and Judith (Charles) Hernandez. Seven grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Her mother, Nancy DiCastri, a brother, James DiCastri and a sister, Nancy (Tony) Zorc.

James Edward Chamberlain
James Edward Chamberlain, 64, of Lake Forest, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his home. He suffered from Multiple Sclerosis, but passed away due to complications from lung cancer. He was born October 11, 1941 in Macomb, IL and grew up in Galesburg.
Jim earned Bachelor and Masters degrees in Industrial and Automotive Education at Bradley University. His entire teaching career was spent at Township High School District #113 (Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools) from 1963-97. Over the course of 34 years, he taught all phases of Industrial Arts classes, Consumer Economics and developed a course in Physics Technology. He felt strongly about teaching skills which could develop into careers for students choosing not to attend college. He was also a member of Roundout School District School Board in the mid 1970's.
Jim's favorite hobby was fishing with his friends which took them to Canada for many years. The family enjoyed ski trips to the mountains of Utah and Montana, the highlight being a ski trip to Sarajevo, Yugosloavia, just after the Olympics in 1984. Several scuba diving trips were enjoyed in the Caribbean, plus memorable dives in Fiji and the Great Barrier Reef. His favorite part of traveling was meeting and getting to know new people.
He was a skilled carpenter and started Chamberlain Construction, which kept him busy during school vacations for many years. He established a reputation for excellent work for a fair price. His specialty was building decks and remodeling basements and kitchens.
Surviving are his wife, Ann "Angi" (nee Boyd); and daughters, Kaarn (Scott) Luce of Libertyville and Whitney (Sean) Mertz of Wadsworth, IL; and three grandchildren, Kristen, Stephanie and Shaun.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fremont and Jettie Chamberlain.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, Maple & Douglas Avenues, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery. Anthony Scopelliti, age 83, of Highwood passed away peacefully Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his home. Born August 14, 1922 in Rosali Reggio, Calabria, Italy he has been a Highwood resident for over 70 years. He was the owner of Anthony Scopelliti Landscaping Co., Highwood and was a member of St. James Church, Highwood.
Survivors include his wife, Lena nee Santello; a son, Thomas (Kathy) Scopelliti of Lake Bluff; a grandson, Michael Scopelliti of Lake Bluff; and a brother, Guy Scopelliti of Highwood.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Sam (Maria) Scopelliti.

Jeanne M. Rosing, 78, of Ingleside passed away Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Condell Hospital, Libertyville. She was born December 13, 1927 in Lyons, IL to the late John and Bernice Buglio. Ralph W. Bellman, 85, of Gurnee died Friday, April 15, 2005 at Victory Memorial Hospital. He was born February 22, 1920 in Watertown, SD. He was an Army veteran of World War II, 94th Signal Battalion, member of the Moose Lodge of Waukegan #706, Rockford Camp Group.
Survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette; two daughters, Sandra Bellman and Eilean (Larry) Ferguson; two grandsons, Kevin Ferguson and Kristopher (Carol) Ferguson; step grandson, Kenworth Ferguson; a great granddaughter, Rachael Ferguson; two step great granddaughters, Samantha and Heather; a step great grandson, Joseph; three sisters, Lorraine Altman, Beverly (Richard) Davila and Shirley Herrmanson; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E. and Myrtle I. Bellman; three brothers, Charles, Lloyde and Jerry Bellman.
