James H. Adams, Jr.
Mr. James (Jimmy) H. Adams,Jr., 48 years old, of North Chicago, Illinois departed this life on March 30, 2001 at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, IL.
He was born on May 2, 1952 to the union of Mr. James H. and Margaret (Thompson) Adams, in Lyerly, GA. He received Christ at an early age. James attended Waukegan Public School, graduating from Waukegan High School (East) in 1970. He was active in R.O.T.C. and wrestling. This earned him a State Championship in wrestling and allowed him to attend Illinois State University in Normal, IL. For a short time, he worked at the V.A. Hospital. After that, he joined the United States Army in 1974.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Tim, Everett and Joshua, his brothers and sisters Raymond (Celeste), Roy (Aida) Adams, Cynthia (Ronald Clark, Sr.) Threats, and Deborah (Sam) Dixon, Jr., Michael Cleaves, James Gett, Christine (LaTroy) Holman and Denise Moore, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, one great aunt Matilda Washington of Chicago, IL., and one great uncle Daniel Green of North Chicago, IL., and a very special friend Susan Anthony. He was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. on April 5, 1998, and Margaret on April 4, 2000 and his grandparents.
Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2001 from 6-8 P.M. and from 10-11 A.M. Saturday at MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington Street. Funeral will be held Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow later on Monday, April 9, at Abraham Lincoln cemetery in Joliet, IL. and will be private for family.
David Green Jr.
David Green, Jr., departed this life Monday, April 2, 2001 at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan. He was born June 26, 1933 to Rev. D.V. Green and Gary Lee Green in Hulbert, Arkansas. He was the oldest of three children. David was baptized at the Olivet Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee at an early age. He moved to Waukegan in 1958. David was also a veteran.
He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Rev. Bobby Green, his father, Rev. D.V. Green and a beloved niece Monica Dixon Green. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons Dave and Davett Green, his mother Gary Lee Green and a brother Joe I. Green, and sister-in-law Cathleen Green, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the BRADSHAW & RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, Illinois. Rev. Jairus Ruff, Pastor, Heritage of Faith Christian Center, Zion, IL. officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Oliver Memorial Park cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 12 Noon.
Kyran J. Kirby
Kyran J. Kirby, 70, of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in North Chicago. He was born in Chicago on August 3, 1930, the son of the late Kyran and Frances (nee: Kane) Kirby. A custodial for various business establishments,he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of AmVets and was a member of American Legion Post #1170, Round Lake. He was the Santa Claus for the Legion for many years. Kyran was a history buff and he also enjoyed sports, especially football.
Survivors include two nieces: Kathy Trost, Monroe, WI., and Lori Kirby, Antioch; three nephews: Michael Kirby, McHenry, IL., Kevin Kirby, Escondido, CA., and Shawn Kirby of Mundelein and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Patrick and Jimmy and one sister Ann.
Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATORIUM, LTD., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL. 60030 with Rev. Fr. Augusta E. Neuendank, age 93, of Gurnee, Illinois passed away April 4, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. She was born April 2, 1908 in Evanston, Illinois,
She is survived by 1 daughter Marie Neuendank of Gurnee, 1 daughter-in -law Mae Neuendank of Skokie, IL., 4 grandchildren Michael Neuendank of Skokie, IL., Kenneth (Maura) Neuendank of Skokie, IL., Robert Neuendank of Round Lake, Il., and Karilyn (Michael) Joyce of Skokie, 4 great grandchildren: Kevin and Kristen Neuendank, and Quinn and Keegan Joyce. She was preceded in death by her husband Helmuth Neuendank in 1973, and 1 son Helmuth Neuendank in 2000.

Charlotte V. Plonien
Charlotte Victoria Plonien, 87, of Waukegan, passed away Monday, April 2, 2001 at Rolling Hills Manor, Zion, IL.
Charlotte was born August 5, 1914 in Waukegan, IL. and was a lifelong area resident.
Charlotte was a member of the First methodist Church in Waukegan. She worked at Abbott Laboratories for her entire working career and retired from Abbott Lab in the mid 1970's. After retiring Charlotte enjoyed working in her garden and watching basketball.
Survivors include her sister Elizabeth (Bent) Pedersen of Denmark, brother Engelbert (Betty) Plonien of Texas and brother Robert Plonien of Tennessee. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Engelbert Plonien, her sisters Dorothy Brown, Edith Haberski and Eleanor Clark. Her brother Milton Plonien also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at First Methodist Church, 128 N. Utica St., Waukegan, IL. Interment will be at North Shore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. Judith A. Princell
Judith A. Princell, 65, of Evanston, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2001 at the Highland Park Hospital. She was born November 29, 1935 in Evanston, where she had been a resident for most of her life. She was a registered nurse and a graduate of Evanston High School and Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.
Surviving are 4 children, Dr. Mark (Joy) Princell of Greenville, S.C., Lori (Steve) Hoelle, Eric (Bobbi) Princell and Kristin Ward, all of Oxford, Ohio; 3 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Barbara Toner of Niles, Merry Myers of Sydney, British Columbia and Karen (Gerald) Fornell of Santa Fe, N.M., her brother John Holby of San Francisco and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth J. Swan
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Swan, 80, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the Libertyville Manor. She was born March 14, 1921 in Bloomington, Illinois, was formerly of Chicago and has been a Libertyville resident since 1959. She was a member of St. Lawrence Episcopal Church in Libertyville, where she had been active with the church choir, the Vestry, Episcopal Church Women and the St. Lawrence Foundation. Before her retirement, Betty had been the personal secretary to the president of Kemper Insurance Company and later the assistant to the store manager at Marshall Fields in Vernon Hills. She was also a former Condell Medical Center volunteer of the year, a member of the Libertyville Women's Club and was active with several area bridge groups.
Surviving are 2 sons, James (Susan) Snell, III and Timothy (Lynn) Snell, both of Libertyville; 5 grandchildren: James (Melanie) Snell, IV of Kansas City, KS., Matthew Snell of Burbank, CA., Erin, Kelsey and Lindsey Snell, all of Libertyville; 2 great grandchildren: Ryan and Riley; her brother Fred (Marilyn) Piest of Gurnee and sister Dorothy Erhardt of Elk Grove Village. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Grace Piest, by her first husband James Snell, Jr. in 1951 and by her second husband Charles Swan in 1988.

Eddie Gene Terrill
Eddie Gene Terrill, 62, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1938 in Huntsville, MO., and had lived in this area since 1956. By occupation, he was an outstanding Computer Technician.
Eddie Gene was a loving son, father and grandfather. He is survived by his mother and step father, Nellie and Gilbert Van of Beach Park, his children John (Sarah) Terrill of Queen Creek, AZ., Craig Terrill of Glendale, AZ., Kimberly (fiancee Ranny Tai) Terrill of Waukegan, Jean Marie (Drake) Leoris of Somers, WI., Margaret (Brad) Kraege of Genesee, WI., Monica (Frankie) Cervantes of Beach Park and Michael Terrill of Waukegan; his grandchildren, Josh, Mary, Daniel, David and Kayla Terrill, Kevin Kraege, Kyle and Nikko Cervantes; brothers and sister, Joe (Anne) Terrill of St. Louis, MO., Jane (Charlie) Ward of Kansas City, MO., and Philip (Jeanne) Terrill of Wadsworth; step brother and sister, Susan (Brad) Herbech of Libertyville and Lee (Gina) Van of Hot Springs, AR., also by seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Irvin Terrill and wife Joanne (nee Jelava).

Mary Elizabeth Hanna Varnell
Mary Elizabeth Hanna Varnell was born January 23, 1922 to Samuel C. and Ella (Williamson) Hanna in Florence, Alabama. She was always called Elizabeth. Elizabeth departed this life on April 3, 2001 after a brief stay in the North Shore Nursing Facility in North Chicago, IL.
She lived the first six years of her life in Florence, Alabama before coming to North Chicago with her parents and family in 1927.
She confessed her belief in Christ early in her life and rededicated her life to Christ again September 22, 1992 at Christian Valley M.B. Church in North Chicago following the death of her husband of many years, Harrison Varnell, Jr.
She leaves behind to keep her memory alive, 4 sons: Michael Love, Larry Varnell, David Varnell, Jeffery (Rita) Varnell, all of North Chicago, 2 daughters: Carolyn (Tory) Conley of North Chicago and Linda (Sam) Jackson of Zion, 1 loving sister Earlene Burnley of Country Club Hills, IL., 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nephews,nieces, cousins, friends and a supportive church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ella Hanna, 4 brothers, Samuel, Robert Lee, Thomas and Theodore Hanna and two sisters, Betty Hanna and Alice Prater.

He was born May 26, 1956 in Tunica, MS. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church in Waukegan.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Ollie, 3 children: Patrice, Colescha and Tiffiney Fullilove, all of Waukegan, 3 grandchildren: DaKavion and Zyier Fullilove and Tjuan Bradford, his parents Henry and Georgan Fullilove of Tunica, MS., 4 brothers Henry Fullilove of Tunica, MS., Johnny (Bobbie) Fullilove of Tulsa, OK., Thomas Fullilove of Littlerock, AK., and Roman (Emma) Fullilove of Tunica, MS., 4 sisters: Norma (Jake) Anderson of Tunica, Christy (Roy) Hamilton of Tunica, Dorothy Fullilove of Zion, IL., and Mary (Willie) Shield of Tunica, MS., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brother and sister in laws.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Virginia R. Hawes
Virginia R. Hawes, 82, of Boynton Beach, Florida, and formerly of Round Lake and Ingleside, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida.
She was born December 7, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John Phillip and Norma (nee Monnette) Walsh.
Raised and educated in Toledo, Ohio, she received her B.A. from St. Francis De Salles College in Adrian, Michigan and her Master;s Degree from Northwestern University in Evanston.
Formerly of Round Lake for over 30 years. She was most recently of Boynton Beach, Florida since her retirement in 1984. She retired from a beloved 27 year teaching career at Grayslake Community High School, where she specialized in teaching Latin. Not only did she initiate the reading programs at Grayslake High School, but she was also involved in starting the spelling bee program for all of Lake County.
Survivors include her loving children, Mary Susan (Brock) Rasmussen of Mundelein, George M. Hawes, Jr. of Sunrise, Florida and Christine Carpenter of Naperville; seven cherished grandchildren; six fond great grandchildren; four dear sisters, Winifred Bondy of Toledo, Ohio, La Donna Jakscy of Las Crusis, New Mexico, Pat Reed of Toledo, Ohio, and Norma Jean Slawinski of Swanton, Ohio; and a close family friend, Daniel Horter of Sunrise, Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son, Francis "Frank" Hawes on July 27, 1984; her parents; and a brother, Clarence Walsh in 1992.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, April 6, 2001 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 114 N. Lincoln Ave, Round Lake, IL with the Rev. Raymond Skriba officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph cemetery in Round Lake.

Alicia C. MacAllister
Alicia C. MacAllister, 85, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at the Kenosha Hospital in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was born January 3, 1916 in Berlin, Germany and came to live in the United States as a child. Alicia was raised in Chicago and has lived in Libertyville for the past 12 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Libertyville.
Surviving are her daughter Yvonne MacAllister of Kenosha; 3 grandchildren: Mark (Roberta) Hartwick of Elkhorn, WI., Antoinette Rodriguez of Beaver Dam, WI., and Alicia MacAllister of Kenosha. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. MacAllister, Jr., her son John W. III, by a sister Gertrude, a brother Oswald and her parents Rudolph and Alvina Franzke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at St. Mary's Lutheran Church in Kenosha. Interment will follow at Irving Park cemetery in Chicago. Stella Pearl Matijevich
Stella Pearl Matijevich, (nee Aiuppy), 77, of Zion, Illinois died Friday, March 30, 2001 at her home.
Stella was born March 21, 1924 in Zion, the daughter of the late Ross and Lulu Aiuppy, and had lived in North Chicago for many years. She was a member of Christ Communtiy Church in Zion and the Christian Women's Ministry of the church.
Stella is survived by two sisters, Lu Wimmer and Sadie Stahl, both of Zion; a brother, John (Mary) Aiuppy of Meadville, Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and great great nieces and great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; a sister, Rose Strawmatt; and two brothers, Joseph and Charles Aiuppy.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at 10:30 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Pastors Jon Wiziarde and Michael Wimmer officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Christ Community Church for either Zion Evangelical Ministry in Africa (ZEMA) or Camp Zion, would be appreciated in her memory.
Anna M. Moulis
Anna M. Moulis, 85, of Fox Lake, Illinois passed away at her home on Sunday, April 1, 2001.
She was born in Riverside, Illinois on June 28, 1915, the daughter of the late Marian and Herman Halbert. She was a long time member of the Fox Lake Community, spending the summers as a child at the family cottage and becoming a permanent resident in 1951. She was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church. She was the past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. Together with her husband, Joseph, she owned and operated Chain O'Lakes Marina in Fox Lake and later assisted her three sons managing Fox Lake Harbor Marina, Fox Lake. During her free time, she delighted in loving and caring for her 8 grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, her children Joseph (Donna) of Phillips, WI., John (Marlene) of Johnsburg, IL., and James (Susan) of Johnsburg, IL., her grandchildren Stephen (Rhonda), Susan (Ryan) Laskey and David (Leah) and Warren (Norine and Vicki (Bobbi) McKay and Melissa (Steve) Banazynski and James; her ten great grandchildren and her sister Cecilia "Toots" Tomec. She was preceded in death by her grandson, John Victor Moulis, and her sisters Catherine Heinz and Harriet Halbert, and her brother Jack Halbert.
Funeral Services will be at 9:15 A.M. Thursday, April 5, 2001 from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte 83 (Milwaukee Ave) Lake Villa, IL., to St. Bede Catholic Church, Ingleside, IL. for a 10:00 A.M. Frank G. Musech, 89, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Waukegan, Illinois passed away April 1, 2001 at Provena, St. Therese. He was born November 18, 1911 in Wakefield, Michigan. Mr. Musech retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1974 after 16 years of employment.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Edith, 1 daughter Mary (Tom) Maus of Gurnee, 1 grandson Peter, and 1 brother Anthony Musech of Pontiac, IL. He was preceded in death by 1 brother Jacob Musech.
