Paul A. Willen
Paul A. Willen, 74, of Round Lake Park died Friday, August 20, 2004 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born March 24, 1930 in Highland Park to Gustuf and Viola (Groodamont) Willen.
On November 6, 1954, he married Jean Pokorny at the First Presbyterian Church in Highland Park. Formerly of Deerfield, Paul was a resident of Round Lake Park for 44 years.
He served in the United States Navy. He was employed by Rockenbach Chevrolet in Grayslake for 32 years, and retired in 1992. He was a Trustee of the Round Lake Fire Department for 20 years; also served as Village Trustee of Round Lake Park. In the 60's, he worked for Borg-Warner stock car racing team. His hobbies included Sky Nights Model Airplane Flying Club as well as being a private pilot. He was affiliated with Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean of Round Lake Park; daughter, Paula (Steve) Witzke of Round Lake; sons, Glenn (Stephenie) Willen of Grayslake and Paul (Anna) Willen, Jr. of Round Lake Beach; grandchildren, Christopher, Katie and Kellie; many nieces and nephews' and his pal, Bear.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ralph and John Willen; and sister, Rosemary Hohlfelder.
Friends may meet the family from 4 to 8 PM Monday, August 23, 2004 at JUSTEN'S ROUND LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2004, 12 Noon at Calvary Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lisle Kauffman officiating. Interment will be private.
Memorials to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, the Round Lake Fire Department or Calvary Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Info: 847-546-3300.

Ruby Sarah Roberts
Ruby Sarah Roberts (nee Enlow), 88, of Waukegan,
died on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Winchester House in Libertyville.
Ruby is survived by her son, Lee (Deanna) Roberts of Gurnee; her daughter-in-law, Sheila Roberts (nee Wilson) of California; her son-in-law, Ken Holverson of Gurnee; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan Ray (nee Enlow) of Florida; her brother, Howard (Janet) Enlow of Wadsworth; and many Otterbacher and Enlow nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her son, Harold "Butch" Roberts; her daughter, Diann Holverson (nee Roberts); one sister, Rachel Kuxhausen (nee Enlow); and her parents, J. Wesley and Minnie (nee Otterbacher) Enlow.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 10:30a.m. at Mr. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road, Zion. There will be no visitation per Ruby's request. John Phillip Wilkins Jr.
John Phillip Wilkins Jr., 81, of Waukegan, passed away Friday, August 18, 2006 at Victory Memorial Hospital. He was born February 3, 1945 in Washington, D.C.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran, and he was a member of Zion Faith Homes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; two daughters, Sue Long and Rachel Maresh; grandchildren, Lara and Ryan Maresh, Brandy, Jessica, Catherine and Sabrina Long; two brothers, Jim (Sandy) Wilkins and Jess (Dell) Wilkins; a sister, Linda (Jim) Marek; nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2006, 2:00 PM at the Zion Faith Homes Church, 2820 Eschcol Ave., Zion, IL. Burial is private.

Aubrey Thorn
Aubrey Thorn, 66, Beach Park died August 16, 2006 at home. Aubrey was born December 1, 1939 in Guntown, MS. He attended high school in Zion, and retired from Johnson Motors Corporation in Waukegan.
Aubrey served four years in the U. S. Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa. He enjoyed spending spending time with his children and grandchildren
He is survived by three dauhgters, Linda and Debbie Thorn of Kenosha, Sherry (Ray) Heid of Azle, TX; six grandchildren, David Jenny, Heather, Savannah, Brian and Nikki; a great grandchild; a sister, Carolyn Thorn; and an uncle, Siniard (Gwen) Pate.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Elmer and Bertha Thorn; and his siblings, Doris Harris and Everett Thorn.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 7 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Visitation will be from 6 PM until the time of the service. James A. Ferrier
James A. Ferrier, 84 years old of Bellaire, Fl formerly of Antioch, IL passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at Oak Manor Nursing Center, Largo, FL. He was born December 30, 1921 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada the son of the late Robert and Janet (O'Brien) Ferrier.
James lived in Antioch since 1950, moving to Trevor in 1993, and then to Bellaire, FL in 1995. He served in the US Army during WWII, was a member of the Sequoit Masonic Lodge #827 A. F. & A. M and a member of the Lindenhurst Trinity United Methodist Church.
After his retirement from Great Lakes Naval Base in 1965 where he was a sheet metal worker, he operated the Lakes Region Roller Rink in Antioch, worked in maintenance for the former State Bank of Antioch and delivered papers for the Advertiser. On June 1, 1942 he married Betty Huddleston and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy whom he married December 21, 1996; his daughter, Patricia (Irving) Metz of Trevor, WI; his two grandchildren, Regine (Thomas) Lechner of Mundelein and Tracy (Jerry) Brewer of Silver Lake, WI; and his three great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Rebecca.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Elizabeth Price and Jean Timko.
Memorial visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday August 23, 2006 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) with Masonic Services at 7:00 PM. Interment of ashes will be private in Millburn cemetery, Old Mill Creek, IL.

James F. Kane
James A. Kane, 82, of Highland Park, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006 at Lake Forest Hospital. Born September 22, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York he has been a resident of Highland Park for 80 years. He graduated from Highland Park High School class of 1942 and then went off to serve his country during World War II in the Army-Air Corp. attaining the rank of Corporal. After the war he worked at Ft. Sheridan as a maintenance engineer.
He is preceded in death by his twin brother, of William F. Kane Jr; and his parents, William F. and Ellen Kane Sr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 from 5 to 8 PM, at SEGUIN & SYMONDS FUNERAL HOME, 858 Sheridan Rd., Highwood. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug 23, 2006 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood. Interment with military honors will follow at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.

Laura L. Kendzerski
Laura L. Kendzerski, 43, of Libertyville, IL passed away suddenly Thursday, August 17, 2006 while on Vacation in Cincinnati, OH. She was born October 21, 1962 in Chicago, grew up in Norwood Park Township and was a 1980 graduate of Maine South High School in Park Ridge. Laura was a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign and received her master's degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She was employed as a Senior Manager at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Kendzerski; daughters, Michelle and Lisa, all of Libertyville; her parents, Ernest and Phyllis Wischoffer of Huntley; a sister, Pamela (Robert) Kirk of Mundelein; and a brother, Scott (Patricia) Wischoffer of Lake in the Hills.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM Wednesday at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Evangelical Free Church, 431 W. Austin Ave., Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family, as an education fund, is being established for her children.

Dennis E. Robb
Dennis E. Robb, age 71, of Monroe Center, WI passed away at his home on Sunday, August 20, 2006 after a battle with cancer and emphysema.
Dennis was born March 17, 1935 in Lansing, MI to Lester and Florence Robb. He grew up in Gurnee, IL. He moved to Monroe Center, WI in 1990. Dennis also served in the U.S. Army.
Denny was the owner of Denny's Amoco and Towing Service and served the Waukegan, IL area for 38 years. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Elks, the Moose Lodge and served as the Director for the Monroe Center Winter Pals Snowmobile Club.
Denny loved snowmobiling, the Chicago Bears, NASCAR Racing and enjoyed the company of his family and many friends.
Denny married Joyce DeMarr (May) on April 30, 1965. They spent 41 years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a grandson, and his brother-in-law.
Survived by wife, Joyce Robb of Monroe Center, WI; brother, Jerry Robb of Monroe Center, WI; daughter, Karen (Neil) Johnson of Nekoosa, WI; son, Bud DeMarr of Beach Park, IL; daughter, Penny (Gary) Von Uhl of Pleasantville, WI; son, Terry (Nancy) DeMarr of Couderay, WI; grandchild, Brittany Johnson of Nekoosa, Cassidie DeMarr of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Candice (Eric) Johnson of Blair, WI, Jeremy DeMarr of Pleasantville, WI, Jamie (Troy) Klomsten of Pigeon Falls, WI, Nick DeMarr of Couderay, WI; and several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 24th, at Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, WI. Friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow the traditional service. A luncheon will follow at the Bay Rest Resort.

Theodore J. Holub "Ted"
Theodore J. "Ted" Holub, 81, of Gurnee, IL passed away Sunday, August 20, 2006 at his home. He was born May 26, 1925 in New York City, was a former 18 year resident of Libertyville, living at Heather Ridge for the past 12 years. Ted was a U. S. Army Air Corp veteran, having served during World War II and a retired systems analyst for International Minerals and Chemicals Corp. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville and had served on the Homeowner's Board at Heather Ridge.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa (nee Natarelli) Holub; his son, John (Pattianne) Holub of Wauconda; grandchildren, Megan, Emily and James; a brother, Gregory Holub; sisters-in-law, Nancy Holub and Elisa (Geno) Delfino; his niece, Christine; and nephews, Robin, Jebal and Paul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Xenia Holub.
Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville and services will continue to St. Joseph Church for funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment following at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation.

Adrene Collins
Adrene Collins, 78, Grand Prairie, TX, formerly of Zion, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in Texas. She was born September 14, 1928 in Akron, AL.
Survived by her six children, Bugless Collins, Winifred Manning, Elton Collins, Derrick Collins, LuVetter Jackson and Derwin Collins; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two borthers, Ralph Hicks and William Hicks; a sister, John L. Hicks; and her goddaughter, Melissa Hals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bugless Collins, Sr.; two sons; a daughter; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1932 Dewey St, Evanston, IL. Home going will follow at 11 AM at the church. Arrangements by HALIBUTON FUNERAL HOME, 1317 Emerson St., Evanston, IL, 60201. Info: 847-864-6135.

John R. Lush
John R. Lush, 91, a lifetime resident of Zion, died on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL.
He was born March 6, 1915 in Zion and married Maryon Wilson on September 18, 1936, in Zion. John was a member of the Christ Community Church, Zion. He was formerly employed as a Chief Inspector for Nash Motors in Kenosha, during World War II, and was retired from Fansteel Corporation in North Chicago. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maryon; two children, Bette Jo (Gordon) Ohmstead of Zion and Brad Lush and Jude Fletcher-Lush of Zion; four grandchildren, Lisa (Andrew) Hollard, Jeff (Dionne) Ohmstead, Amy Meadows and Andrea (Leo) Barnes; five great-grandchildren, Duncan and and Aidan Hollard, Jackson Ohmstead, and Ezekiel and Zoe Barnes.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Camp Zion Ministry or to the Passion Play of the Christ Community Church.
