Viola Graeb
Viola Graeb, 99, of Gurnee, IL., passed away Thursday, September 18, 2003 at her home. She was born September 17, 1904 in Brooklyn, New York and was a resident of Long Island, New York for most of her life. Viola lived in Florida for a short time and has been a Gurnee resident for the past several years.
Surviving are her son, Ron Graeb of Grayslake, IL.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Kimplar of Libertyville, Jeffrey Graeb of Gurnee and Timothy Graeb of Grayslake; seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Ben, Malory, Lauren, Jack, Katie and Michelle; two nephews, Harold Graeb and Gary Haas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Frances Haas; by her loving husband, Victor Graeb in 1999; and by her brother, Franklin Haas.
Private services are being held from the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, in Libertyville.
Marian R. (Maiman) Harris
Marian R. (Maiman) Harris, age 77, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003. Marian was born on December 9, 1925 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Irving and Cora (Weidner) Wagner. She married
Edward Maiman on August 31, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1976. On September 23, 1979 Marian married
John R. Harris and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1999. Marian worked for many years at Louie's and the Elk's Club in Waukegan. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Waukegan.
Marian is survived by her children: Kristine (Thomas) Carroll of Ingleside, IL, Connie Jurewicz of Deerfield, IL, Daniel (Polly) Maiman of New London, WI, and Jeffery (Denise) Maiman of Amherst, WI, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and three sisters, Barbara Greene and Therese Frank both of Waukegan, IL and Florence VanTreeck of Spring Hills, FL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a granddaughter, Brooke and a brother Arnold Wagner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 22 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Waukegan, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at MARSH FUNERAL HOME in Waukegan and at the HOLLY FUNERAL HOME in Waupaca, WI on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in Marian's name. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Elizabeth Lott-Hill
Elizabeth Lott-Hill was born on November 27th, 1932 in Brooksville, Mississippi to the late Wiley and Janie (Samuels) Williams. She left this earthly life to be with our heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 16th, 2003. At an early age, she confessed a hope in Christ at Prairie Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Clay in Brooksville, Mississippi. She attended the Kankakee School System and graduated in 1949. In April 1952, she was united in marriage to the late Scott E. Lott, Sr. She traveled extensively with her husband until his death. Elizabeth was active in the community in Racine, WI in the early 1970's. In 1977, she moved her children to Zion, IL and became a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Roosevelt Tart. In 1985, she became a member of the Greater Faith Church-Baptist where she served faithfully until the Lord took her home. She was a member of the Voices of Greater Faith for many years and also the Mother's Ministry. In 1988, God blessed her again and married
John William Hill. Elizabeth always had one goal and that was to become a published author and to God be the glory, her book was released nationally in May 2003, "Summer of 1988." She retired from the VA Medical Hospital in 1980 and from the Great Lakes Naval Training Base in 1996. She touched all those that she came in contact with.

Allen D. Lott, Sr., Kenosha, WI. Six sisters: Mattie Carothers, Racine, WI: Georgia Smith, Memphis, TN; Julia (Herman) Smith, Grand Rapids, MI; Ethel Williams, Benton Harbor, MI; Addie Dean, Grand Rapids, MI; Maddie Williams, Racine, WI. One brother: Hinds Williams, Racine, WI. Three sister-in-laws: Lucy Williams, Racine, WI; Judy Holloway, Zion, IL; Marguerite (Kenneth) Howard, Joliet, IL; One brother-in-law: Jesse Hill, Chicago, IL; Special-Son-In-Law: Gregeory Slater, Waukegan, IL; Twenty-four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She also leaves adopted children in Christ as her very own: Demetrius Daniels, Duane Denton, David Duerson, Michael Duerson, Ethel Gardiner, Zerbinetta Nichols, Kay Wilson and many others.
A daughter, a husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Greater Faith Baptist Church, 565 Powell Avenue, Waukegan, IL. Pastor C.L. Fairchild, Officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park cemetery, Zion, IL. Lillian nee "Kerpan" Nagode
Lillian nee "Kerpan" Nagode, age 74, of Park City, passed away September 17, 2003 at St. Therese Hospital. She was born October 11, 1928 in North Chicago where she resided most of her life. She married
her husband, John, on September 22, 1951. Worked at the Lake County Court House.
Survivors include daughters, Janeen Yeager and Cindy Nagode. Grandchildren Jessica, Andrea and Amanda. Brothers Joseph (Virginia) and John (Dolores) Kerpan. Sisters Mary Kerpan, Katherine Chumbley, Frances Magri and JoAnn Williams.
preceded in death by Brothers Ben and Pete Kerpan and sister Mildred "Millie" Swen (Swentkofske).
Services and interment will be private.
Joseph Necker
Joseph Necker, 86 years old of Antioch, IL., passed away Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Illinois Veteran's Home at Quincy, Quincy, IL. He was born October 25, 1916 in Chicago, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Chury) Necker.
He lived in Chicago for many years spending summers in Antioch from 1968 until he moved there permanently in 1975. Joe served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in England at the 52nd General Hospital. He was a baker working for various family owned bakeries in the Chicago area and was a member of the Bakers and Confectionaries Union. He attended St. Peter Church in Antioch, was active with the Antioch Senior Center, played the accordion with the Happy Wanderers, enjoyed boating and drove a school bus for Gavin School from 1975 until 1981. On July 15, 1960, he married
Virginia August in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; his daughter, Joyce (Larry) Hasler of Lake Villa; one brother, Edward (Dolores) Necker of Lake Villa; and his granddaughter, Julie Hasler of Royal Oak, MI.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 22, 2003 at theSTRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rt. 83) Antioch. Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday in Resurrection cemetery, Justice, IL. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday fro 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Patsy Ioma (Wendricks) White
Patsy Ioma (Wendricks) White of Waukegan, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Patsy was born October 7, 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Waukegan and was involved in the soup kitchen and funeral luncheon ministries there.
She is survived by her children, Janice Marie (Gene A.) Bach, Michael Francis (Sharon L.) White, Loralee Kay (Charles E.) Norris, Robert Scott White, Patricia Ioma (Robert Lewis) White, Shawn Louis (Sun Yo) White all of Waukegan, Gordon Patrick (Jeannette T.) White of Vernon Hills, Dennis Edward White of Winston Salem, NC, Lynette June (Norma A.) Delaney of South Renovo, PA, Leigh James (Lisa Anne) White of Zion, Constance Jean (David C.) She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Francis White; parents, Louis A. and Florence P. Wendricks; brothers, Louis A. (Skip) Wendricks, Jr., Jerold A. Wendricks; sister, June Mary Louis Nickerson; and her grandsons, Jonathan Jamal White and James Louis White.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 22, 2003 at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan, Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at the Peterson & Patch Funeral Home, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday.

Robert "Bunky" Ekvall
Robert "Bunky" Ekvall, 57, of Mundelein died September 17, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 21, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He grew up in Des Plaines and has lived in Mundelein since 1971. He was a loyal employee of United Air Lines for 37 years at O'Hare International Airport. He was very skilled on the computer and since retirement was able to spend a lot of time with his family. He was a noted History and Political Science buff.
He was survived by his wife, Sandy; his children, Tom (Wanda) Ekvall, Tracy (Paul) Keeler, Kevin (Valorie) Ekvall and Kelly (Chuck) Geske; nine grandchildren; his niece, Carol Boyd; and his cat, Autumn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Ekvall; and his sister, Dorothy.
Visitation is Tuesday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the KRISTAN FUNERAL HOME, 219 W. Maple Ave (Rt. 176), Mundelein for the Public. A private funeral service is at 1:30 PM for family members. Interment will follow in Lakeside cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 500 N. Dearborn St., Chicago, IL, 60610 are appreciated.
Morton Fredrickson, Jr.
Morton Fredrickson, Jr., 73, of Gurnee, IL passed away Friday, September 17, 2004 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Mort will be dearly missed by his wife Marilyn, family and friends. He was born April 18, 1931 in Waukegan, attended Zion High School, DeVry University and served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired employee of Commonwealth Edison and owner of Fredrickson Real Estate.
Mort was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Waukegan and the Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed an early retirement. He and his wife would spend time traveling, vacationing and at their home in Fort Myers, Florida. He also had a passion for singing and playing his guitar, loving to entertain his family. He enjoyed entertaining friends at his home and looked forward to meeting with his lifelong friends on Wednesdays at the Avalon Restaurant and his coffee group on Saturdays in Libertyville.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Marilyn (nee Maiden) Fredrickson; four children, Brenda (Bert) Armstrong of Beach Park, Denise (Brad) Krueger of Baraboo, WI, Liane (Bill) Smith of Miami, FL and Theresa (Brian) Pasiewicz of Kenosha, WI; four step children, Deborah (Richard) Welton and Donna (Guy) Flaschner both of Gurnee, Donald (Lisa) Shannon of Antioch and Richard Shannon of Miami, FL; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; his sister, Betty Fredrickson of Lake Delton, WI; and many special nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and close friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM Tuesday, at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME,120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 22, at the funeral home with interment following at Lakeside cemetery in Libertyville.
Mike Gray
Mike Gray, 42, of Waukegan, finally found peace when he passed away on September 16, 2004. Mike was born on January 24, 1962 in Chicago, IL.
Before his illness, Mike enjoyed music, playing hockey and spending time with his cousins, Robert and Steven Gray and his good friend, Erik.
He is survived by his sister, Katherine Notter; a niece, Autumn; his nephew, Matt; his uncles, Richard and Wayne Gray; aunts, Georgia, Peggy and Judy; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gray, Virginia Mato; his grandparents, George and Delores Gray, Fred and Anna Knaack; his uncles, Michael and Thomas Gray.

Joan C. Jendras
Joan C. Jendras, 73, of Bristol, WI passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004 at her home. She was born March 20, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Valentine and Elizabeth (Novak) Gac. She lived in Cicero, spending vacation time at the home in Bristol for 40 years before permanently moving to there in 1987. Joan was a former member of Our Lady of Charity Church in Cicero, a member of St. Scholastica Church in Bristol, and a member of the Antioch VFW Post #4551 Ladies Auxiliary. She performed a lot of volunteer work for the Antioch VFW, and VA Medical Center, North Chicago for over 10 years. Joan enjoyed bingo, needlepoint, watching the Green Bay Packers, and being with her children and grandchildren. On June 2, 1951, she married
Stanley Jendras in St. Adalberts Church in Chicago, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Stan; her children, Cindy (John) Antene of Brookfield, IL, Kathy (Art) Burns of Naperville, IL and John (Judy) Jendras of Downers Grove, IL; 13 grandchildren; her sisters, Stella Pels of Bartlett, IL, Honoria (Larry) Wietz of Fort Collins, CO and Julia (Rich) Lipien of Tamarac, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.
