Bernard J. "Bernie" Vitek
Bernard J. "Bernie" Vitek, 83, of Lindenhurst, passed away Friday, September 13, 2002 at Vista St. Therese Medical Center. He was born August 14, 1919 in Chicago and was a resident of the Lindenhurst area for the past 46 years. He was a member of the Lindenhurst Zoning Board of Appeals and Chairman of said board from 1959-1984, member of Lake Villa Township Board of Auditors, Lake Villa Township Development Council, Lake Villa Township Assessor and Grant Township Deputy Assessor. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army in the Coast Artillery. He was a meat cutter by trade for 60 years. His hobby was traveling and he visited every state in the Continental U.S. by car.
Survivors include his wife Jean; 2 sons, Richard John (Cynthia) of Newark, Delaware and William Bernard Vitek of Algoa, Texas; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF LINDENHURST, 1840 East Grand Ave., with Rev. Elizabeth Tsang officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m Monday and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made in his name to STAR Hospice Unit, c/o Vista St. Therese Medical Center.
Robert J. Bellefeuille
Robert J. Bellefeuille, 74, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at his home. He was born in Gurnee, IL on April 13, 1930, the son of the late Nestor and Florence (nee Sebesta) Bellefeuille. He was a former member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was retired from the Hoover Water Well Service of Zion. On July 29, 1961, he married
Arlene Butler.
He is survived by her beloved wife, Arlene; his children, Susan of Zion, Florence (Tom) Hill of Florida, Robert (Virginia) Smith of Park City, Kathleen of Zion, William Smith of Lake Villa, John (Sherri) of Lake Villa, Debra Stiles of Lake Villa and George (Vicki) of Grayslake; 21 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brothers, Richard (Alice), Theodore (Lois), Leonard (Melba), Lawrence and James; and a sister, Mary (Raymond) Lewis.
he was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Robert.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte. 83), Lake Villa, IL, 60046 (two blocks south of Rte. 132--Grand Ave.). Interment will be at Hillside cemetery, Antioch, IL. Visitation Tuesday, 4 to 8 PM.
Margaret L. Course
Margaret L. Course, 93, of Round Lake passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the Pleasant Lake Villa in Parma, Ohio. She was born August 24, 1911 in Chicago and had been a Round Lake resident since 1963. She was a member of the Women's Club, Garden Club and United Protestant Church, all in Grayslake.
Surviving are her son, Gary Course of Parma, Ohio; her granddaughter, Jennifer Course of Brattleboro, VT; a nephew, Michael Course; and nieces, Shirley Kohl, Lyn Westphal, Geri Course and Sharon Derrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf and Selma Anderson; by her husband, Edward Course in 1975; and by her sister, Evelyn Westphal.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 15, 2004 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ridgewood cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Protestant Church in her memory.
Thomas B. Curry
Thomas B. Curry, 42, of Fox Lake, IL passed away September 10, 2004 at home. He was born January 4, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was an avid Cubs fan and loved to fish with his dad.
Survived by his mother, Eva; brothers, Russ (Carolyn) and Jay; sisters, Darlene and Jessica (Adam) Dada; nieces, Janelle and Genna; and nephew, Josh.
Waiting in heaven for Tom is his dad, grandpa and grandma.

Kathy Erickson
Kathy Erickson, 60, of Waukegan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2004, at the Pebble Brook Health Care Center in Lake Bluff.
She was born November 26, 1943, in Chicago, IL and was employed as a bus driver for 30 years in Lake County. Kathy loved the special education children, who rode her bus. She epitomized the true spirit of a giving person.
She is survived by her mother, June Erickson of Zion; brother, Bob (Myrna) Erickson of California; sisters, Judy (Raymond) Herrera of Waukegan, Linda Erickson of Chicago, and Margaret (Rodney) Venables of Virginia; and brother, Charles (Betty) Erickson of Beach Park. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Erickson in 1999.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Reverend Carl Bannon of the Wesley Church of Waukegan, officiating. Private interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2004, from 10:00 Am, until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
Antoinette Ericson
Antoinette Ericson, age 74, of Wheeling, IL passed away on September 11, 2004 at the Glenbridge Nursing Home, Niles, IL. She was born in Cape Cod, MA on November 20, 1929.
She is survived by three sons, James A. Nicholson of Las Vegas, NV, Garrett B. (Cytorse) Nicholson of Wheeling, IL, and Thomas J. Nicholson of Waukegan, IL; a daughter, Patricia J. Nicholson of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Monique Davis (Michael) Lopez of Waukegan, Aramas Walker and Arnita Walker, both of Wheeling; two great-grandsons, Michael Angel Lopez and Marc Anthony Lopez; also a host of other relatives and friends.
She preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Ericson and a son, Anthony V. Nicholson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the BRADSHAW & RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. Rev. James Merold, officiating. Raymond E. Fischer
Raymond E. Fischer, 80, who resided in Round Lake Beach since 1985, and was formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Monday morning, September 13, 2004 in Libertyville.
He leaves his loving family to cherish his memory. His loving wife of 53 years, Eva, to whom he wed June 30, 1951 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chicago; and his loving daughter, Dolores P. Fischer.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, Richard S. Zaehringer, Director, 1475 N. cemetery Road,Gurnee, IL, 60031 (inside the main entrance to Warren cemetery near the intersection of Tri-State Parkway and cemetery Road.) The entombment will immediately follow the conclusion of the service. Friends are invited to gather with the family for visitation from 12 PM Noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ruth Alice Geithe
Ruth Alice Geithe, 57, of Ingleside, IL passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry, IL.
She was born in Switzerland on October 28, 1946, the daughter of the late Friedrich and Martha Widmer. She was a resident of the Fox Lake/Ingleside area since 1980. She came from Switzerland in 1962. She employed as a chef at Weller Engineering. She was a proud and strong woman, working with her serious illness just three weeks before her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Juergen; son, Guenther Herrmann; daughters, Monica Floyd and Jennifer Ray; grandchildren, Christine, Tony and Ronnie; great grandchildren, Noah and Luke; and her brothers, Erwin and Ernst.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83 (Milwaukee Ave.), Lake Villa, IL 60046, with Reverend Terry Breum officiating.
Laura J. Loveless
Laura J. Loveless, 72 years old of Casselberry, Florida, formerly of Antioch, IL passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004 at her home. She was born March 23, 1932 in Caruthersville, MO, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Dovie J. (DeFries) Franks. She had lived in Antioch from 1964 until 1994, moving to San Diego, CA for ten years and recently to Florida.
On October 27, 1948 she married
Thomas A. Loveless in Manila, Arkansas and he preceded her in death in December of 1986.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Loveless of Casselberry, Florida; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Betty (Maurice) Smith and Virginia Wagner.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dale Loveless in 1989.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 16, 2004 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch. interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch, IL.
Henry Emil May
Henry Emil May, 62, gently passed away September 9, 2004 after a heroic and courageous battle with cancer. Lovingly surrounded by his family and the prayers of faithful friends and neighbors. Henry finally found peace and rest.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Barbara Josephine; along with two adoring daughters, Jocelyn Elaine and Cheryl-Lynn; and four faithful felines. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Emma (nee Hein), father, Henry F.A.; two sisters, Karen and Judy; along with three devoted dogs, Jitters, Scotty and Benji.
Lifelong resident of Waukegan and Mundelein, retired employee of Barclay Products, Gurnee, Illinois. Cherished husband, father and friend, Henry's memory shall be for a blessing. Interment private. Richard D. Quarrels
Richard D. Quarrels, 56, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Friday, September 10, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Herrin, IL on November 3, 1947, the son of the late Norman and Janet (nee Allen). He lived in Lake Villa for the past 14 years, moving from Grayslake, IL. He was retired from the Illinois State Police, after 30 years of service. He was a Special Agent - Criminal Investigations. He graduated from DCI - Class #16 in 1986. He married
his wife, Barbara, on March 3, 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughters, Deana Garrett and Deborah (Chris) Fyolton; his grandchildren, Joseph Cullen, Rich Burchett, Randy Burchett, Jessica Burchett and Jeramey Prosty; and his sister, Suzanne (Steve) Melvin.

LaVerne Rintoul
LaVerne Rintoul, 84, of Mundelein, IL passed away Monday, September 13, 2004 at her home. She was born February 6, 1920 in Wevaco, WV and had been a resident of Mundelein for the past 43 year. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Carlisle, PA, also the Libertyville American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered at the VA Medical Center in North Chicago for 30 years.
Surviving are three children, Wayne (Sandra) Rintoul of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Agnes (Michael) Kerwin of Cary, IL and Martha Rintoul of Mundelein; six grandchildren, Karry (Eric) Reynolds, John Kerwin, Dan Rieck, Becky 9John) Fleming and Ryan and Reba Rintoul; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan Reynolds; and a brother, Willis Kinder of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Rintoul on March 1, 1997.

Thomas Domalik
Thomas Domalik, 58, of Waukegan, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Chicago. He was born November 10, 1943 and was a member of the American Legion. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his son Allen (Iran) Domalik; 2 grandchildren Elizabeth Maria and Allen Thomas; a brother Stanley (Dorothy) of Napa, CA; 2 sisters Claudette (Ronald) Fields of Annapolis, MD and Angeline Bickwermert of Waukegan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Josephine; a brother Edward and a sister Sally Bederski.
