Jaclyn N. Matheson "Jackie"
Jaclyn "Jackie" N. Matheson, 18 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Wednesday September 8, 2004 from injuries received in an auto accident near Antioch.
She was born September 16, 1985 in Libertyville, IL and has lived most of her life in Lake County. Jackie graduated from Antioch High School in 2004 and has worked as a waitress at Max and Ermas at Gurnee Mills.
Survivors are her mother Patricia (Scott) Tate of Antioch, her brother Christopher (Jennifer) Matheson of Phoenix, AZ, her father John Matheson in Deleware, her maternal grandfather Carl Prymula of Russell, IL, a step sister Veronica Tate of Escanaba, MI, her step grandparents Lyman and Carol Behrens of Waukegan, IL, her uncle Charles (Robin) Prymula of Russell, IL, 2 cousins, Emily and Michael and her boyfriend Brad Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 PM Monday, September 13, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83), with visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of services.

Rose M. Pennington
Rose M. Pennington, 78, of Hubbard, OH passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 at Ivy Woods Manor. Rose was born March 5, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of Elmer and Rose Hokamp Holzwarth and came to Youngstown in 1955 and later to Hubbard in 1992. She was a factory worker for seven years at Foreman Tool & Die Company, Youngstown, Ohio and was a member of the church.
She leaves two son, Gary Pennington of Winthrop Harbor, IL and Larry Pennington of Aurora, OH; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Forester of Streamwood, IL, Mrs. Donna Guerrieri of Campbell, OH, Mrs. Joyce Tringhese of Hubbard, OH and Mrs. Janice O'Brien of Palatine, IL; three brothers, Albert Holzwarth of Petersburg, OH, Louis Holzwarth of Chicora, PA and Paul Holzwarth of Kittanning, PA; a sister, Marian Schreckengost of Worthington, PA; 18 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Holzwarth and an infant brother, Joseph Holzwarth; and a grandson, Sean Pennington.
Services will be at 9:14 AM Monday at STEWART-KYLE FUNERAL HOME and 10 AM in St. Patrick Church. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 PM at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Material contributions may be made to St. Patrick Church Memorial Fund, 225 North Main St., Hubbard, OH, 44425.

Rebecca "Becky" Prosser (nee Glassman)
Rebecca "Becky" Prosser (nee Glassman), 71, an Ingleside resident for the past 48 years, formerly of Round Lake, died on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1933 in Chicago, to Frank and Margaret (nee Gannon) Glassman. She was a long time member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside where she was a member of the Women's Club. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Fox Lake and Gavin Grade Schools and for the last 13 years, at Grant Community High School. Becky was also a member of the Lake County Retired Teachers Association, and was a strong supporter of the Lakeland Cardinals and Grant Township Little League. She enjoyed her family boating, fishing, camping and traveling.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Cyndi) Prosser Jr. of Johnsburg; her daughters, Patsy (John) Sales of Ingleside and Janet "Jan" (Bill) Sauer of Spring Grove; her grandchildren, Nate and Max Prosser of Johnsburg, Doug Sauer and Jill and Wendy Sales all of Ingleside; and by her very dear friend, Shirley Bereiter of Fox Lake. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Prosser, whom she was united in marriage to on August 4, 1956 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Round Lake; and by a brother, James Glassman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 from 5 to 9 PM at the K.K. HAMSHER FUNERAL HOME, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake (one block west of Rte. 12, 1/2 block north of Grand Ave.).
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Richard D. Quarrels
Richard D. Quarrels, 56, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Friday, September 10, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Herrin, IL on November 3, 1947, the son of the late Norman and Janet (nee Allen). He lived in Lake Villa for the past 14 years, moving from Grayslake, IL. He was retired from the Illinois State Police, after 30 years of service. He was a Special Agent - Criminal Investigations. He graduated from DCI - Class #16 in 1986. He married his wife, Barbara, on March 3, 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughters, Deana Garrett and Deborah (Chris) Fyolton; his grandchildren, Joseph Cullen, Rich Burchett, Randy Burchett, Jessica Burchett and Jeramey Prosty; and his sister, Suzanne (Steve) Melvin.
Funeral services are private. Funeral arrangements by RINGA FUNERAL HOME, Lake Villa, IL.

Leland "Lee" Robinson
Leland Robinson, 77 years old, of Antioch, IL passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004 at his home. He was born April 16, 1927 in Booneville, MS, the son of the late Luke H. and Minnie (Stevenson) Robinson.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in 1960 moved to the Lake County area, living in Antioch for the past twenty years.
In his earlier years, he worked as a truck driver and laborer and later retired, after 27 years of working as a carpenter. He also ran the Richmond Flea Market for twenty years and the former, Loon Lake Trading Post in Antioch. On May 9, 1950, he married Mary Edna Cartwright in Booneville, MS.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary; his children, Sandra Guntharp of Spring Grove, IL; Robbie D. (Julie) Robinson of Fox Lake, IL and Wayne (Ellen) Robinson of Spring Grove, IL; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Ralph Cartwright of Waukegan, IL; and many nieces, nephews and friends in the Lake County area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) Antioch. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make donations to the Antioch Rescue Squad, in his memory.

Joann E. Sorenson
Joann E. Sorenson, 73 years old Antioch, IL passed away Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL. She was born August 7, 1931 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late William "Earl" and Florence (O'Keefe) Fairman and has been a life long resident of the area.
Joann was a graduate of Selons Beauty School and worked as a beautician for several years. She also worked as a waitress for Sequoit Harbor for many years. On October 26, 1971, she married Edward Sorenson in Rockford, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; her twin sister, Colleen (Albert) Fuller of Antioch, IL; two nephews, Craig (Michelle) Fuller and James (Raeann) Fuller, both of Lake Villa, IL; and three grand nieces, Alison, Carrie and Courtney.
Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon Monday, September 13, 2004 at Prince of Peace Church, Grand Ave. and Hwy 83, Lake Villa, IL. Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch, IL. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM Sunday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) Antioch, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vista Star Hospice or the American Cancer Society, in her memory.

Ida Drecoll
A memorial mass for Ida Drecoll, 78, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. Mary's Fremont Center, Rt. 60 and Erhart Rd. in Mundelein.
She was born August 1, 1923 in Dickeyville, WI., and she peacefully passed away Monday, September 10, 2001 at her home.
A resident of Libertyville for most of her life, she was the devoted and loving wife of Albert Drecoll to whom she was married for 59 years, the beloved mother of her daughter, Lynn Hale of El Rito, NM and her four sons: Gregory (Karen) of Libertyville, Timothy (Susan) of Lilburn, GA., Cameron (Joan) of Naperville and Steven (Pat) of Mundelein. She is also survived by 10 wonderful grandchildren: Bret (Leslie) Hale, Jason (Tanya) Hale, Jonathan Drecoll, Michael Lindsay, Daniel and Mark Drecoll, Jessica and Matt Drecoll and Amanda Neill and great grandchildren Griffin, Hillary and Emory Hale as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ida Dugan, a sister Kathleen and infant daughter Deborah.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Condell Hospice, 115 W. Church St., Libertyville, IL. 60048.

Kent F. Gravens
Kent F. Gravens, 39, of Waukegan, Illinois went to be with his Lord on September 9, 2001.
Kent was born February 17, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri and also lived in Delray Beach, Florida and Ethridge, Montana. He was married to the former Celia DeMarco on January 22, 1988 in Gulfstream, Florida. Kent was employed in cable telecommunications for 15 years and presently worked for AT&T; Broadband as Technical Operations manager. He was a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers, and a member of Bonnie Brook Baptist Church where he served as an Elder and AWANA Commander.
Kent is survived by his wife, Celia; four children, Jessica, Emily, Mary and Lois; his father and mother, Robert E. and Betty L. Gravens of Delray Beach, Florida; two brothers, Bruce (Susan) Gravens of San Jose, CA., and Mark (Charlene) Gravens of Vicksburg, MS., and a sister, Elaine (Mark) Eckel of Boyton Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Gladys Simpson of Foley, Missouri.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Bonnie Brook Baptist Church, 12085 W. Yorkhouse Road, Waukegan with Pastor Scott Harrison officiating. A visitation for friends and relatives will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be on Friday at Mt. Olivet Memorial park in Zion with the burial procession leaving the church at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to a special family fund for the education of his children has been suggested. The CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion is serving the family.

Fernando T. Hinojosa
Fernando T. Hinojosa, 11 months old of Waukegan, Illinois passed away September 8, 2001 at Victory Hospital. He was born September 22, 2000 in Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include his parents Jose and Gracie Hinojosa, Sr., one brother Jose, Jr., 1 sister Deah Steede, his grandfather Gary Steede, Sr., all of Waukegan, Grandmother Marie Hinojosa of Mexico, 6 aunts: Brenda (Manuel) Garza, Elizabeth Conhartowski of Zion, IL., Maria (Jose) Salinas of North Chicago, Dora, Labra, and Bertha Hinojosa of Mexico, 3 uncles: Gary, Jr. (Dani) Steede of Colorado, Fernando, Jr., and Hector Hinojosa of Mexico, god parents Raul and Deanne Hinojosa of Waukegan and a host of other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the BRADSHAW & RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. Interment will be at the Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jeanne Marie Johnson
In His infinite wisdom and mercy, God has called our mother, Jeanne Marie Johnson, to dwell in the house of the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, after being critically injured in a car accident on Aug. 27, 2001.
Born to the late Henry and Dorothy (Zukor) Banach on March 8, 1951 in lake Forest, IL., Jeanne was the oldest of four children. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry "Hank". Jeanne worked at Commonwealth Edison for 16 years before moving to Michigan in 1993. She initially resided in Elberta, where she owned and operated the Betsie Bay Marina. In 1999, Jeanne settled in Traverse City, where she was most recently employed by Charter Communications. It was in Traverse City that she found the perfect place to balance her love of sailing, appreciation of nature and desire for tranquility.
Her memory will be forever treasured by her daughter Marian (Michael) Rawlings; her son, Stephen (Kathleen) White, Jr.; her three grandchildren: Marina, Kristin and Stephen Samuel. She is also survived by her brother Robert Banach; sister Laura Munro; grandmother Jean Slasky; and former husband Stephen T. White.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been made with REYNOLDS-JONKHOFF FUNERAL HOME. Announcements regarding a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Irene Lovelace nee Miller
Irene Lovelace nee Miller was born March 20, 1931 in Waukegan, IL to the union of Dan and Carrie Lena Miller. She was a lifelong resident of the Waukegan/North Chicago area.
She was the first student to attend Happy Day Nursery School in Waukegan and also attended Waukegan public schools. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School and the College of Lake County.
A lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, she accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Herbert Davis. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School until her departure.
On May 12, 1951 she was united in marriage to Elvin Lovelace. They were the parents of two children, Wendy and Karen .
She retired from the Public Works Center Housing Office Great Lakes, IL after more than 30 years of service. She also worked at Foss Park Golf Course for four years.
Her affiliations include: member of Eureka Temple #1172 I.B.P.I.E of IL; Past Daughter Ruler of Eureka Temple; Member of Eureka Temple's Purple Cross Nurses Unit; member of Little Fort Past Daughter Ruler Council; Past Granddaughter Ruler of Jean B. Finch; Past Daughter Ruler Circle; member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA); Lake County Volunteer Probation Officer for over 20 years; member of #140 Order of the Eastern Star; a charter member of the Emblem Chapter; member BET of North Chicago, IL; a member of the Senior Services Committee for Waukegan Township for Park Place.
On Friday morning, September 7, 2001 she departed this earth at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL.
Irene leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Wendy Lovelace Lindsey of North Chicago, IL and Karen Lovelace Randolph of Long Beach, CA; a "son" Shelly Wyckoff of North Chicago, IL; two grandsons, Emmet "Buff" and Garren Woods of Zion, IL; and anticipating the birth of a great grandson; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law and a special sister-in-law, Cleo "Babe" Wilson; a son-in-law Brookie Woods of Zion, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a very dear and special friend, Mr. Harry Wilson of North Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Carrie Lena Miller; her brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Irene Miller; and former husband Elvin Lovelace.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, September 13, 2001 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 800 S. Genesee Street, Waukegan, Illinois with Pastor Walston E. Francis officiating. Interment will be at North Shore Garden of Memory. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Eureka Temple #1172 rites and Emblem Chapter #140 Rites Order of the Easter Star will be performed at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Bradshaw and Range Funeral Homes, Waukegan, IL 847-662-3553.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Irene Lovelace.
