Memorial service for Donald W. Fallos to be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee.
Born July 7, 1936 in Waukegan, he died Sunday, August 31, 2003 at Vista Health Victory Memorial Hospital.
Don retired in 1998 from the furniture business after 38 years. Den Leader, Baseball Coach, avid Fisherman and loved to take his family on vacations in the summer.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marge (nee Hart); his children Susan Fallos (Doug Ochranek), Donna (Louis) Lively, Dwaine Fallos, Saundra-Jo (Richard) Sebben, Michael Fallos, Lisa (Richard) Przybylski; his grandchildren Casey, Amanda and Wesley Fallos, Derek and Brittany Sebben, Samantha, Morgan and Kaitlyn Fallos, Jarod, Kyle and Sean Przybylski.
He is survived by two brothers and two sisters Vivian Pieper, Leroy (Rochelle) Fallos, Levern (Dorie) Fallos, Myra (David) Carpenter; his long time friend Jimmy (Barbara) Bock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Sr. and Wilhelmina (nee Koster); a granddaughter, Melissa Lively; a brother, Elmer Fallos Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Leo Pieper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association.
Crawford J. Moore, Sr.
Crawford J. Moore, Sr., age 51, of Zion, Illinois passed away on August 29, 2003 at the St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, IL.
Crawford James Moore, Sr., was born to Mattie and Lincoln Sullivan on May 24, 1952 in Marion, Alabama. He was the only son, the eldest of five children. Crawford came to Waukegan at an early age. Crawford confessed a hope in Christ at eight years old. He was baptized at Provident BTC. He served his country with the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mattie Lane; a son, Crawford J. (Latanya Cochran) Moore, Jr. and his mother, Faye Luna; two daughters, Xaviea Moore and Natasha Luna; three sisters, Shelia Moore, Renee (Steve) Howell and Winifred McCarnes; three aunts, Esther Moore-Sims, Jeraline Reynolds of Georgia and Mary Jean (Larry) Huston; an uncle, Charles (Marie) Moore all of Waukegan, IL; several grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lincoln Sullivan; sisters, Baby Girl, Carol Annette; grandparents, James Madison, P. Moore, Margaret Hogue Hornbuckle; six uncles, James Madison Moore, William A. Moore, Lee Crawford Moore, Robert Lewis Moore, Willie Gayle Moore and Otis Dennis Moore, Sr.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Rehoboth COGIC, 1001 Indiana Avenue, Waukegan, IL. Pastor Eugene Jones, Officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon. Rick A. Schnelle
Rick A. Schnelle, 55 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Monday September 1, 2003 at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL. He was born September 10, 1947 in Evanston, the son of Jacob and Leona (Mariage) Schnelle and had lived in Grayslake before moving to Antioch fourteen years ago. Rick was active with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 190 as assistant scoutmaster from 1992 to 1997, Scoutmaster from 1997 to 1999 and received an Outstanding Service Award on May 24, 1999 in recognition of exceptional leadership and devoted service. He enjoyed waterskiing, snow skiing, home remodeling, woodworking, fishing, boating, camping and computers. In 1969 he started work at Northern Weathermakers HVAC, Inc. and after 33 years was currently specializing in DDC controls. He also served in the U.S. Army in Germany during Viet Nam from 1966 to 1969. On December 17, 1988 he married
Meredith Nichols in Libertyville, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Meredith; his four children, Chris of Portage, IN, Carrie (Monty) Buchanan of Evansville, IN, Emily Schnelle of Antioch and Tommy of Lake Villa; his parents, Jacob and Leona Schnelle of Wilmette, IL; one brother, Rudy Schnelle of Chicago and two sisters, Dawn Schnelle and Denise Schnelle both of Wilmette.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the United Methodist Church of Antioch, 848 Main St., Antioch with Pastor Gary L. Curl, officiating. Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 until 8 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM Saturday until time of services. Albert Stoll
Albert Stoll, 77, of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center at North Chicago. He was born January 16, 1926 in Chicago.
Prior to retirement he was a tradesman.
He is survived by his wife, Anna J. Stoll; sons, Michael Stoll, Glenn Stoll and Wayne Stoll; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his sister, Charlotte Burgess; as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Stoll; and sister, Virginia Galloway.

Jacqueline M. Vonashek
Jacqueline M. Vonashek, 69, of Mundelein, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Condel Medical Center, Libertyville, IL.
She was born in Chicago, IL on June 7, 1934, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Jack Kalm. She was a former resident of Maywood, IL and had lived for a number of years in California before returning to Lake County 12 years ago.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Cheryl) Pflaum, Anthony Pflaum, Bambi Pflaum, Kenneth Bowers, Jr., Robert Bowers and Laure (Darryl) Twinam; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Joanne Hnilo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde King.
Memorial services will begin at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2003 at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte. 83), two blocks south of Rte. 132, Lake Villa, IL 60046. Interment private. Visitation will be Monday, 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m.
Vera Grace Walker
Vera Grace Walker, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Zion, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at the St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs.
Vera was born July 15, 1920 in Iowa. She was a member of the Hot Springs Ceramic Art Club, the Arkansas State Ceramic State Ceramic Club and a volunteer for the Caring Place at the First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs.
Survivors include two sons, Joel Walker of Little Rock, AR and Earl W. Walker Jr. of Hot Springs, AR, and one daughter, Kaye (Gene) Anthony of Hot Springs, AR. Also surviving are two brothers, William Burt of Illinois and Robert Burt of Florida and three sisters, Isabell Dunsmore of Harrison, AR, Dorothy Sabby of Arizona, and Patricia Daugherty of Michigan. Vera is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl W. Walker, her parents Francis and Grace Burt, two sons, Duane Hammond and Gage Stevens, and two brothers, Lawrence and Paul Burt.

Donald Earl Winston
Donald Earl Winston, August 27, 2003 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Winston and son, Donald Winston Jr. He is also survived by his father, Booker Winston, his brothers, Charles Chapman, Ronald Winston, James Winston, Gregory Winston, Curtis Winston and their families; his sister, Doris Bruner and her family. Close friends, Ray and Debbie Diaz and family, Robert Stover and Mario Lane Kipp.

Dorothy Agnes Clark
Dorothy Agnes Clark (nee Davis), passed away on Sunday morning September 1, 2002 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion, after an extensive stay at Zion Rehabilitation and Care Nursing Home in Zion.
She was born July 8, 1924 in Florida.
Survivors include her son Dale Clark; one daughter Sandra Maennena; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers Don Davis of Chicago and Norman Davis of Georgia; and one sister-in-law and best friend Marion Stolarik. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Clark.
At Dorothy's request there will be no visitation or services. CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, are handling the arrangements.
Reverend Doctor Clarence Clarke
Reverend Doctor Clarence Clarke, age 89, of North Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL. He was born in Fairhope, Alabama on July 4, 1913 to the union of Will and Rebecca (Wilson) Clarke.
At the age of 17, he was baptized and appointed as a young missionary in the Christian Valley Baptist Church of Fairhope, Alabama. In 1932 he was called into the Ministry. Reverend Clarke's early education commenced in the public schools in Fairhope, AL. He was a resident of the city of North Chicago, IL for 52 years. Reverend Clarke united with First Corinthian Baptist Church in North Chicago, IL under the leadership of Rev. James Porter. Later he became the assistant to Reverend Porter for seven years.
He was founder and Pastor of Christian Valley Baptist Church for thirty-nine years. Upon retiring for a short period of time, he was pastor of Christian Valley Baptist in Fairhope, AL for five years. Reverend Clarke graduated from the Easonian Baptist Seminary of Birmingham, AL. He attended the Chicago Baptist Institute and the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, IL. He was an active member of the Civil Rights Movements led by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, and a life time member of the NAACP. He has been a voice of reason in North Chicago fighting for the rights of humankind, the poor and the neglected. He is one of the founding members of the North Shore Ministers Alliance.
Reverend Clarke received the most influential Black American Awards of Lake County two times. Reverend Clarke was active in numerous religious organizations. Twenty-Fifth Street in North Chicago was renamed as Reverend Clarence Clarke Drive, in his honor. Reverend Clarke was the oldest Pastor preaching the word of God in Lake County.
He is survived by his sweet and devoted wife of 64 years, Mrs. Fannie P. Clarke; one brother, L.D. Clarke of Pasagoula, MS; a niece, Mrs. Jean Smith of Fairhope, AL; a nephew, Joseph Alphonce (Celestine) Clark of Mobile, AL; a nephew, Frank Clark of Chicago, IL; a nephew, Willie Thompson of CA; a cousin, Ms. Rebecca Charles of San Diego, CA; a host of grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends; a sweet and caring friend, Mrs. Lizzie Borden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Rebecca Clarke; four brothers, Elliot, Dave, Joseph and James; one sister, Rebecca Pierce.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, September 5, 2002 at the Christian Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 2690 Argonne Drive, North Chicago, Illinois. Rev. Henry Woods Pastor and Rev. Eugene Roberson Pastor First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, North Chicago, IL officiating. Visitation Thursday from 8:00AM until the time of service. Rev Dr. Clarke will lie in state on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM at Christian Valley. Interment will be at North Shore Garden of Memories cemetery, North Chicago, Illinois.

Benjamin Cloyce Funderburk
Benjamin Cloyce Funderburk, 86, of Winthrop Harbor passed away on Friday, August 30, 2002, peacefully, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion.
He was born October 10, 1915 in Red Bay, Alabama, the son of the late Clem and Venie Funderburk. He was united in marriage to Charlie Mae Works on April 6, 1934, celebrating 68 years of marriage. He was employed by Reynolds Co. in Sheffield, Alabama, moving to Zion in 1950 and later to Winthrop Harbor in 1973. He worked for Johns-Manville for 21 years until his retirement. He attended First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Nellie (Donald "Ozzie") Osborne of Winthrop Harbor and Jimmy (Wendi) Funderburk of Wadsworth; five grandchildren, Deborah Cagle, Jane Bautiste, April (Ronald) Kaiser, Lorrie Funderburk and Jamie (Aixa) Funderburk; five great grandchildren; a sister, Raider Trulove of Red Bay, Alabama; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, Clete Funderburk, Ruth Cleveland, Clyce Funderburk, Ripple Maxey, Robbie Maxie and Cecil Funderburk.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at 11 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Pastor Michael Brown of First Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
