Albert Stoll
Albert Stoll, 77, of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center at North Chicago. He was born January 16, 1926 in Chicago.
Prior to retirement he was a tradesman.
He is survived by his wife, Anna J. Stoll; sons, Michael Stoll, Glenn Stoll and Wayne Stoll; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his sister, Charlotte Burgess; as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Stoll; and sister, Virginia Galloway.
Friends may call at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan on Saturday, September 6, 2003 from 1-4 p.m. Private interment will be on Monday at Woodland cemetery, McHenry, IL.

John C. Thomas Jr.
John C. Thomas Jr., age 78, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2003 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was employed at Walgreens for 40 years until his retirement in April of 1986. John was a Round Lake Beach Village Board member and an Avon School Board member at one time. A World War II veteran, John loved to fish, golf, and garden.
John is survived by his wife of 56 years Elsie Thomas, his children Charles (Brenda) Thomas of Florence, AL, Saline (Allen) Leckman of Grayslake, John C. (Susan) Thomas III of South Windsor, CT and Kevin (Sarah) Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, his 13 grandchildren, and his four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister Robert Thomas, Charles Thomas, and Mary Rollin, and his parents John C. and Sadie Thomas.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday September 6, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Pastor John Holm will be officiating. Interment will be held immediately after at Highland Memorial Park cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Friends of the family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday September 5, 2003 at the funeral chapel.
Donald Earl Winston
Donald Earl Winston, August 27, 2003 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Winston and son, Donald Winston Jr. He is also survived by his father, Booker Winston, his brothers, Charles Chapman, Ronald Winston, James Winston, Gregory Winston, Curtis Winston and their families; his sister, Doris Bruner and her family. Close friends, Ray and Debbie Diaz and family, Robert Stover and Mario Lane Kipp.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2500 W. 30th St., Zion, Illinois. Pastor B.J. Gaston officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park cemetery, Zion, IL.

Kenneth Brongel
Kenneth Brongel, 63 years old, of Antioch, IL, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2002 at his home. He was born March 17, 1939 in Chicago the son of Cass and Helen (Brongiel) Brongel, moving to Antioch in 1986.
Ken worked in construction for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He loved skeet shooting and to attend car races with his family.
Survivors are two sons, Jesse Saltzman with the Marine Corp in S.C. and Michael Brongel of Antioch; one daughter, Stephanie Brongel of Genoa City, WI; his mother Ellen Brongel of Chicago and a sister Joyce Brongel of Morton Grove, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father Cass Brongel.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, September 5, 2002 at St. Peter Church, 557 Lake St., Antioch, IL. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH.
Thomas C. Ducksworth
Thomas C. Ducksworth, 55, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away suddenly Sunday, September 1, 2002 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born October 12, 1946 in Taylorsville, Mississippi and was a Vernon Hills resident beginning in 1980.
He lived in Highlands Ranch, CO for seven years, moving back to Vernon Hills in 1992. Tom was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and attended the College of Lake County in Grayslake, the University of Chicago Circle Campus and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He was a former stockbroker and an agent for Century 21 Real Estate in Waukegan and the Allstate Insurance Company. He was also a substance abuse counselor for the Lake County Alcohol Treatment Center in Waukegan and in his years of failing health, worked for the Walmart Store in Vernon Hills.
Surviving are his wife, Margareta and son Erik Ducksworth of Vernon Hills; step-son, Peter (Stacey) Hansen and their daughter, Abbey of Grayslake; his parents, Tilmon and Lillie Jo Ducksworth and sister Wanda Turner, all of Taylorsville, MS.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Hubert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Avenue (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment services will be on Friday at the Cherry Grove cemetery in Taylorsville, MS.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
Margaret G. Geha
Margaret G. Geha, 87, of Barrington, IL passed away Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Wealshire of Lincolnshire.
She was born November 23, 1914 in Johnstown, PA and was a former resident of Louisville, KY and Barrington, IL. She was a member of St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church and a retired employee of the Department of Public Assistance, both in Johnstown.
Surviving are her children, Dwight (Bonnie) Geha of S. Natick, MA and Katrine (Steven) Kirn of Barrington; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth George and Louise King. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1976; and by a son, Michael.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church in Johnstown. Interment following in Grandview cemetery.
Arrangements are by the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME in Libertyville.
Francis R. Hamelitz
Francis R. Hamelitz, 85, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers. He was born January 26, 1917 in Bartlett, IL and was a former Lake County resident, wintering in Florida since 1986. Fran was the co-owner of M and H Builders in Grayslake, a resident of McHenry for many years and a member of the McHenry Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Hamelitz of Fort Myers; his daughter, Carol Jean (Keith) Peters of Hackensack, MN; and brother, Leonard (Ausencia) Hamelitz of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora on November 4, 1983; and by his brothers, Raymond and Wilfred.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon, Thursday, September 5 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville with the Rev. James D. Christensen officiating. Entombment will follow at Ascension cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
Wendy M. Metcalf
Wendy M. Metcalf, 36, passed away Friday, August 30, 2002. She was born September 15, 1965 in Park Ridge, IL to Pamela J. (nee Sundblad) and H. Michael Doyle.
She was a graduate of Mundelein High School and was fond of writing children's stories.
Wendy is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Metcalf of Round Lake Park, IL; her daughter, Trina Zimmer of Round Lake Park, IL; her son Daniel Metcalf, Jr. of San Diego, CA; her parents, Pamela J. and H. Michael Doyle (formerly of) Countryside Lake, IL; her brother, Scott (Christine) Doyle of Mundelein, IL; her sisters, Katherine (Robert) Olsen of Gurnee, IL, Bridget M. Doyle (formerly of) Countryside Lake, IL, April (Dean) Sherman of Phoenix, AZ and Kelly (John) Skoog of Glendale, AZ. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Allen Metcalf of Round Lake, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, LTD., 410 Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Donald C. "Ole" Olsen
Donald C. "Ole" Olsen, 69, passed away Friday, August 30, 2002 at his home. He was born in Elmwood Park, IL on August 25, 1933 to Amelia (nee Mastodominico) and Olaf M. Olsen.
He is a longtime member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers, Local No. 1 in Chicago and worked in the construction of many of the buildings in the Chicagoland area.
He is survived by his children, Donald C. Olsen, Jr. of Solon Mills, IL, Jim (Barb) Olsen of Fox Lake, IL, Sheree (Glenn) Peterson of Loveland, CO, Jeff (Amy) Olsen of Loveland, CO, Gary (Betty) Olsen of Ingleside, IL, Lawrence Olsen of Ina, IL, Laura Mead of Ingleside, IL and Sean Olsen of Fox Lake, IL. He is also survived by his brothers, William "Bill" Olsen of Mercer, WI and Keith Olsen of Round Lake, IL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30PM, Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, LTD., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 with Rev. Lisle J. Kauffman officiating. Interment is private. Friends of the family may visit at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 4 until 8PM.
