Lorraine Dombush Forsythe
On November 22, at the grand age of 94 she fell asleep and awakened in the gentle arms of her savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. She was born October 31, 1908 in Crystal Lake, IL. Her family moved to Waukegan during her high school years (WTHS). She met and fell in love with her late husband Lester D. Forsythe when they attended First Methodist Church. They had two children: Walter D. Forsythe and the late Johyne Lee Forsythe. Mom was active in the PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Church Youth Ministries and Missionary Guild. She was recognized for serving 5000 volunteer hours at Victory Memorial Hospital. In 1997 she moved to Puyallup, WA to be near her son.
She is survived by her son Walter (Helen) D. Forsythe, Puyallup, WA and son-in-law Walter (Johyne Lee) Silvertsen (IL) as well as three grandchildren, Leighton Forsythe (CA), Karyn Forsythe (WA) and Lynn (Cecil Sanders) (AL) and two great grandchildren Bryley and Brooke Sanders.
She loved to travel, especially following her son around while he served in the Army as a Chaplain. Travels took her to Canada, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean and from Virginia to California. Her favorite hymn was, In the Garden. She loved her Country and those serving in the Armed Forces protecting the freedoms we enjoy.
Marta Mueller-Spaeth
Marta Mueller-Spaeth, age 98, of Gurnee, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2002 at her daughter's Gurnee home. She was born February 17, 1904 in Siegen, Germany and has been a lifelong resident of Siegen and has resided in Gurnee since June of 1996.
She was a member of the Christian Assembly if Siegen-Achenbach and the North Shore Bible Chapel, Zion. Marta loved the Lord with all her heart and soul, her great faith and submission to God's will carried her thru all the life's struggles (WWI, WWII and the loss of a daughter).
Survivors include a daughter Lore (Heinz) Habel of Gurnee, a son-in-law Johannes (Lotte) Mudersbach of Burbach, Germany; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and many friends that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Otto on January 22, 1985; a daughter, Christel Mudersbach on May 10, 1996; and a grandson, Ernst Otto Habel on July 11, 1958.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 12 PM at the North Shore Chapel, 2800 W. 29th Street, Zion. Private interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville.

Hyacinth O'Bryant
Hyacinth O'Bryant a life long resident of North Chicago, passed away November 23, 2002, after a lengthy illness. She was born October 17, 1932. She retired from North Shore Terrace Nursing Home.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories 7 sons Dennis Michael (Rosita) O'Bryant of North Chicago, David O'Bryant of Tucson, AZ, Sammy (Pat) O'Bryant of North Chicago, Daryl O'Bryant of North Chicago, Timothy O'Bryant of North Chicago, Tracy O'Bryant of North Chicago, Norris (Angie) Randolph of North Chicago. 3 daughters Evon (Charles) Smith of Belleville, IL, Shirley Spencer of North Chicago, and Roberta (Dorsey) Garland of Norfolk, VA. 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. A very special niece Cynthia Williams of Georgia. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law Jean Carr of North Chicago, and very special friends Jessie Lee, Ardell Senter, Guynell Long and Jean Range.
She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Roberta Carr, sister Kathleen Williams, son Robert O'Bryant, brother Willie Clyde Carr, grandson Edwin O'Bryant, and special friend Curtis Randolph. She touched many lives in her 70 years, always giving an open heart and home to those in need. Her work is not yet done and she will be missed on this earth, blessed are those who ranks she join.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 29, 2002 at the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth Ave., North Chicago, IL. Pastor Eugene Roberson, Officiating. Brian Warren Payne
Brian Warren Payne, 39, of Chicago died suddenly on Friday, November 22, 2002.
Brian was born July 19, 1963 at Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, Illinois. He grew up in Zion and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1982. He had been employed with Dunbar Armor Car Company as an Armed Security Driver for a number of years.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Robert and June Payne of Beach Park; three loving sisters, Jaqui and Robin Payne of Skokie, Illinois and Vivian (William III) Roberts of Zion; two nephews, Pierce and Devin Roberts; and a niece, Jordan Roberts. Brian's presence will be deeply missed by his uncles and aunts, Willis Payne Sr., Richard (Annie) Payne, Samuel (Alyce) Payne, Irene (Coleman) Bass Sr. and Addrienne "Auntie" (Clarence) Ervin; and a host of dear cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving paternal grandparents, Samuel and Pearl Payne, Sr; by his maternal grandparents, James Lee and Eunice Eubanks; by his paternal great grandfather, Henry Darnell; and by his maternal great grandparents, Grover and Ella Mae Alexander.
The family will greet visitors on Friday, November 29, 2002 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with a Memorial Service following immediately at 11 AM. Brother Garfield Grace Jr. of the Brothers After the Order of Jesus will officiate the service.
Tony Urban, D.D.S.
Tony Urban, 55, of Antioch, IL passed away Monday, November 25, 2002 at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL from complications due to a motor cycle accident. He was born July 6, 1947 in Highland Park, IL, the son of Anton W. and Beverly Jane (Morgan) Urban. He had lived in Lake Villa and Fox Lake, IL before moving to Antioch permanently in 1986. Tony was a graduate of Antioch Community High School and attended Miami Military School in Miami, FL, Southern Illinois University, the College of Lake County, and Illinois State College. He earned his DDS degree from Northwestern University in Chicago and was president of his class. Dr. Urban began his dental practice in Antioch in May of 1978 and had a dental practice with his partner, Dr. Nicholas Ruggiero since 1986, in Antioch, IL and Kenosha, WI. He also had a practice of his own in Chicago until 1987. Dr. Urban loved to fish and hunt and ride his motor cycle. During his life he was known to be generous with his time and for those in need of his services. On December 23, 1972, he married
Kathryn Walker in Millburn, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; three sons, Anton W. "Tony" (Christine) of Kirkland, WA, Gregory J. of Seattle, WA and Joel W. at home; a daughter, Amanda Urban at home; his mother, Beverly Jane Rundgren of Antioch; and his sister, Gail (David) Heath of Seneca, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Anton W. Urban in 1974.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 30, 2002 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rt. 83). Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch. Julia K. Vasey
Julia K. Vasey, 49, of Lake Villa, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2002 in her home. She was born December 25, 1952 in Burlington, WI and was a member of Willow Creek Church in Barrington. She was a supervisor of the Juvenile Division at the County Clerks Office.
Survivors include her husband Ronald Vasey; sons Matthew (Dana) Vasey, Timothy (Shannon) Vasey and Aaron Vasey; mother Verna Russell; siblings Delores (Fred) VanderKooy, Gary (Chris) Russell, Eileen (Dewayne) Anderson, and Verna (Ron) Marker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Keith Russell, and a brother Matthew Russell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2002 at MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF GURNEE, 305 cemetery Rd., Gurnee, Illinois 60031 (847) 336-0127. Marjorie E. "Marge" Washa
Marjorie E. "Marge" Washa, 75, of Lake Villa, IL passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. She was born September 4, 1927 in Lake Villa, the daughter of the late William and Florence (McClure) Petersen and has been a life long resident. She was a member and Past President of the Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #4308 of Lake Villa. She did domestic work at Libertyville Manor and before her retirement, she worked as an assembler for the Charles Bruning Co., who were makers of photo copy machines. On January 12, 1968, she married
Robert Washa in Waukegan, IL and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1997.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane (George) Grenus of Slades Corners, WI and Barbara Heaton of Libertyville, IL; a sister, Luella Pullen of Gurnee, IL; four grandchildren, Dawn Heaton, Heather (Owen) Russell, Dusti and Abby Grenus; three great grandchildren, Samantha, Makenzie and Kameron; and by many many friends.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Colleen Heaton; two brothers, Peter and Tom Petersen; and two sisters, Genevieve Patterson and Mary Petersen.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 2, 2002 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rt. 83). Interment will be in Angola cemetery, Lake Villa, IL. Karen Vivian Barker
Karen Vivian Barker, the daughter of Myrtis and the late George Barker, Jr. departed this earthly life Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL. She was born March 5, 1961 in Waukegan, IL.
Karen grew up in the church attending Sunday School and a member of the Youth choir. She became a member of Shiloh at the age of eight, and was baptized by the late Pastor J. N. Lightfoot.
She attended Mother of God Grade School and Webster Junior High School, and in 1979, she graduated from Waukegan West High School. For almost two years, she attended the College of Lake County.
She was a 1979 debutante of the North Shore Community Service League. She enjoyed music, photography and reading. She was employed for a short while, however, because of her illness, she became unable to work.
Karen leaves to cherish her memory her mother; three brothers, Lenardo, Marlon and Clarence of Waukegan; an uncle, Steve Johnson of Opopka, Florida; an aunt, Earnestine Moore of Compton, California; five nieces; four nephews; a grand nephew; many cousins; other relatives; and her church family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; half brother, Ervin; an aunt, Bernice Johnson; a maternal uncle; and two paternal uncles.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 11 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 800 South Genesee Street, Waukegan, IL, 60085 with Pastor Walstone Francis officiating. Visitation begins at 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Sunset cemetery, Northbrook, IL.

Erutida Colon
Erutida Colon, 77, of Waukegan for 52 years passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born October 6, 1926 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, was very active at St. Joseph's and Holy Family Parish, and a member of the Legion of Maria. Erutida's love for the Lord was always prevalent and she has left behind a Legacy for all those who knew and loved her dearly.
Survivors by three sons, Hector of Kentucky, Bernie of CA and Joe of Waukegan; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Adela Alverez and Doris Garcia both of Waukegan; a brother, Bernabe Garcia of Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco in 1990.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 450 Keller Ave, Waukegan Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 1 PM. Interment Ascension cemetery.

Violet Faber
Violet Faber, age 79, of Gages Lake, IL, died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Libertyville Condell Medical Center. She was born November 28, 1923 in Pennsylvania.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church and Friendship Club of Grayslake. Violet was a retired supervisor of Food Service of 27 years at Condell Medical Center.
She is survived by her children, Janet Kelley, Frances (Guy) Luno, Nicholas (Marge) Faber, Lucille Carter, Thomas (Barbara) Faber, Maria (Bo) Holimon; one sister, Rosemarie (Joseph) Schamerger; one brother, Alfred Tarquinio; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; her parents; two sisters; a brother; and son-in-law and sister-in-law.
Funeral Mass will be 10 AM on Saturday, November 29 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee. Please meet at the church. Burial at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Visitation Friday, November 28 from 5-9 PM at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee, 305 cemetery Rd.
