Albert Edward "Ed" Wickland
Albert Edward "Ed" Wickland, 84, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2004 at the home of his daughter in Libertyville. He was born May 23, 1920 in Chicago and was a former resident of Lake Villa, Mundelein and Spinney Run in Gurnee.
He was a 1937 graduate of Schurz High School in Chicago and a US Army Air Corps veteran, having served in the European Theatre as a Navigator during WWII. Following the war, Ed enrolled at the University of Illinois in Champaign. There, he played on the baseball team that won the Big Nine championship in 1947. He enjoyed baseball as his father was a former big league baseball player and Ed played on several semi-pro teams.
After graduation, Ed Worked for his friends, the Wallisers, in their rug factory in Grayslake and later at Print-O-Tape. After the Print-O-Tape site in Rondout burned down, he was part of the team that rebuilt it in Libertyville. Ed loved to sing with the seniors at the Senior Center in Libertyville and during his lifetime enjoyed his vacation home on Legend Lake in Wisconsin. He said his life was amazing and full and considered himself "one of the luckiest guys in the world."
Surviving are his daughter, Deborah (Michael) Aquino of Libertyville; grandson, Brett (Kelly) Novak of Gurnee; great grandchildren, Dillon, Ryan, Shawn and Meghan; and his brother, Ken (Carol) Wickland of Fort Atkinson, WI; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lillian Wickland; by his wife, Marjorie, on November 15, 1990; and by his brother, Eugene.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Glenn R. Wisland
Glenn R. Wisland, 48, of Mundelein, IL, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at his home.
He was born April 13, 1956 in England, was a 1974 graduate of Libertyville High School and has lived in Mundelein for the past 20 years. Glenn was also a graduate of the College of Lake County and a former I.T. Professional and Computer Analyst for the Kemper Insurance Company in Long Grove.
Surviving are his mother, Ivy "Pat" Wisland of Vernon Hills; his sister, Susan Wisland of Plano, TX; three brothers, Terry, Randy and Dean Wisland, all of Vernon Hills.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delano Wisland in 1985.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
Peggy Sue Doody
Peggy Sue Doody, 63 years old, of Spring Grove, IL, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the Woodstock Extended Care Center, Woodstock, IL. She was born May 7, 1939 in Birmingham, AL, the daughter of Roy and Burley (Smith) Byers, moving to Lake County, IL in 1963.
Peggy had worked for the Ball Brothers Corporation of Mundelein, IL for six years, for Abbott Laboratories for two years and for Anchor Glass Container for 25 years as an inspector and in quality control. While at Anchor Glass, she was a Vice President of the Union and she attended several conventions and negotiation sessions. She was an avid billiards player and was a member of the Lake Villa-Antioch Tavern Owners Association League, The T.O.B.A. League, The Milwaukee League, The Coast to Coast League and the APBA League. On November 22, 1968 she married
Dave Doody in Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; five sons, James W. (Donna) Stewart of Antioch, Steve R. (Beth) Stewart of Ingleside, IL, DeWayne A. Stewart of Birmingham, AL, Daryl W. (Sherri) Stewart of Lake Villa, IL and David M. Doody of Spring Grove, IL; her mother, Burley Byers of Antigo, WI; 11 grandchildren, Eric, Shannon, Jason, Jimi, Amber, Ryan, KateLynn, Jordan, Jarred, Summer and Jazmen; one brother, Don Byers of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Betty (Wayne) Dake of Heiskell, TN and Bonnie (Joe) Peschke of Antigo, WI.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Byers in 1982 and a sister, Daisy Mae Kemp in 1982.
Her husband wants to express his thanks to four special friends who helped to fight her dreaded disease.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00PM Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83), Antioch, IL. Visitation will be from 4PM Tuesday until the time of services. The family has requested to please wear Blue Jeans or Casual Dress.

William T. "W.T." Floyd
William T. "W.T." Floyd, 60, of Waukegan, formerly of Booneville, MS, passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Pavilion Nursing Facility in Waukegan due to an extended illness. He was a Baptist, an automobile salesman, and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Waukegan.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Cindi Cain of Jonesboro, AR, and Kim (Rodney) Authement of Memphis, TN; 2 sons, Mark (Kathy) Floyd of Nashville, TN and Matthew Floyd of Memphis, TN; 2 sisters, Helen Burns of Booneville, and Shirley (James) Harris of New Site; 1 brother, Billy (Diane) Floyd of Benton, IL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Gertrude Floyd, and 2 brothers, Bobby and Eugene Floyd.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Pete McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Suzanne E. (nee Geberbauer) Gardner
Suzanne E. (nee Geberbauer) Gardner, 55, of Waukegan, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2002 at her home. She was born December 4, 1946 in Joliet, Illinois.
Suzanne was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Escobar of Chicago; parents, Edwin and Celia (nee Holdener) Geberbauer of Waukegan; brother, Edwin H. Geberbauer of Chicago; sisters, Joanne Warren of Kamloops, BC and Celia Frances (Doug) Bettencourt of Portland, OR. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
Mass will be 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at St. Anastasia Church, 264 Douglas Avenue, Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at the church from 10:00AM to time of Mass.

Richard S. Ingold
Richard S. Ingold, 40, of Waukegan, passed away on November 23, 2002 at Provena St. Therese. He was born April 24, 1962 in Lake Forest, IL.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He had been a patient at Winchester House in Libertyville of a number of years.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Ingold of Waukegan; one sister, Sue (Andy) Hamlet of Gurnee; two nieces, Julie and Jennifer; one nephew, Alan; and serveral aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at First Presbyterian Church, 122 N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., Rev. David Eikenberry officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 5-8PM Tuesday only at Marsh Funeral Home of Waukegan, 1521 Washington.

George Povich
George Povich, 76, of Beach Park died on Friday, November 22, 2002 at V. A. Medical Center, North Chicago.
He was born May 24, 1926 in Iron River, Michigan and came to this area in 1950. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Zion and he retired from U. S. Steel and the Bank of Northern Illinois. George also served with the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, to whom he was married
on March 5, 1949 in Iron River, Michigan; children, George (Mary) Povich of Zion, Steven (Peggy) Povich of Antioch, Linda (Fred) Hauser of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, John Povich of Beach Park and Diane (David) Smith of Kenosha, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren, Erik, George (Marina), Jonathan (Liesl), Brian, Ryan and Matthew Povich, Frederick and Aaron Hauser and Jeremy, Jessica and Allison Smith; and brothers and sisters, Peter (Jean) Povich and Ann (Tom) McMahon both of Iron River, Frances (Arrigo) Ugolini of Libertyville, Mary Stebbins and Catherine (John) Sporer both of Iron River.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Emil; and by his parents, John and Cecila Povich.

Mark Brown
Mark Brown was born to Letha and Mims Odell Brown on September 29, 1965 in Jackson, Mississippi. Mark accepted Christ at an early age. He was a graduate of Waukegan High School and a member of the varsity basketball team. Later went on to Bailey School of Broadcasting in Seattle Washington.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Marcus and Dominique Brown of Zion, IL; two sisters, Vanessa (Michael Samuel) of Waukegan, IL and Velma (Leonard Mitchell) of St. Louis, MO; six brothers, Laurence (Colette Brown), Kenny and Anthony of Waukegan, IL, Wayne Brown, James (Barbara Brown) of Houston, Texas and Marvin Brown of Beach Park, IL; and a dear nephew, Calvin Brown of St. Louis, MO.
Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia; mother, Letha Brown; grandmother, Mattie Bracey; grandfather, John Bracey; three uncles, T.D. Bracey, David Bracey and Lamar Bracey; and a nephew, Noel Cowan.

Erutida Colon
Erutida Colon, 77, of Waukegan for 52 years passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born October 6, 1926 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, was very active at St. Joseph's and Holy Family Parish, and a member of the Legion of Maria. Erutida's love for the Lord was always prevalent and she has left behind a Legacy for all those who knew and loved her dearly.
Survivors by three sons, Hector of Kentucky, Bernie of CA and Joe of Waukegan; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Adela Alverez and Doris Garcia both of Waukegan; a brother, Bernabe Garcia of Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco in 1990.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 450 Keller Ave, Waukegan Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 1 PM. Interment Ascension cemetery.

Robert E. Daum
Robert E. Daum, age 39, of Lindenhurst, formerly of Kenosha, died Sunday, November 23, 2003. He was born November 28, 1963 at Taos, New Mexico.
Robert loved spending time with his girls, listening to jazz, stock car race fan, fishing. He worked for the Illinois Tollway for 21 years, graduated from Waukegan High School and worked part-time at Jewel-Osco. He volunteered many hours at the schools his girls attended. He traveled the U.S. and Europe with his parents.
He is survived by two children, Jacqueline R. Daum and Elizabeth R. Daum; parents, Joe and Jane Edstrom; two brothers, Joseph W. (Tina) Edstrom and Kevin L. Edstrom; a special friend, Donna Nelson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 29 at 10:30 AM from St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL. Burial will be private. Visitation at 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at church.
