Diane M. Kuhnwald
Diane M. Kuhnwald, 60 years old of Richmond, IL, a former resident of Antioch, IL for many years, passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at her home. She was born July 9, 1942 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Wallace and Helen (Buszta) Graczyk.
Diane attended St. Peter Grade School and Antioch Community High School and nursing training at the College of Lake County. As a registered nurse she was the Director of Quality Assurance for St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL and also worked in ICU, CCU and Surgical recovery. Other areas of nursing was in home health care, hospice and extended care nursing. Her interest included Wildlife Conservation and Photography. Further, she was a strong supporter of Earthwatch and the World Wildlife Fund. On August 22, 1980 she married James Kuhnwald in Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include her husband, 2 sons, Gerald (Erin) Risch of Lake Villa, IL and Thomas Risch of Antioch, 1 daughter, Sharon Risch of Antioch, her grandson Brandon White, her father Wallace Graczyk of Lady Lake, FL, her step children Todd (Tami) Kuhnwald of San Antonio, TX and Ingrid Kuhnwald of Evanston, IL, 2 sisters Joyce Knigge in Flagstaff, Arizona and Janice Edwards of Antioch. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Graczyk.
Visitation at Noon with services at 2:00 PM will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St., (Rte 83) Antioch. Private interment will be in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Antioch. Those desiring may make contributions to the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th St. NW, Washington, DC 20037, in her memory.

Ruth S. Cole
Ruth S. Cole, 95, of Waukegan passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Sheridan Health Care Center. She was born April 19, 1908, the daughter of Henry and Mary (nee Spellman) Sheridan, in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident.
She was a member of St. Anastasia Parish and former member of Immaculate Conception Parish, member of Altar & Rosary Society. She had also been a member of Glen Flora Country Club and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Dave) Pate of Winthrop Harbor and Sally Clark of Waukegan; her grandchildren, Kevin (Dina) Donovan, Liza Donovan, Kenn (Joy) Pate, Jennifer Cole, Matthew Clark, Amy Morgan and John Clark; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alden Cole; her parents and 11 brothers and sisters; as well as her grandson Thomas Donovan.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave. Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of mass. Donations may be made to a memorial fund in her memory. Arrangements are under the care of PETERSON-PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan.

Carol Ann Dickinson (nee Bennison)
Carol Ann Dickinson (nee Bennison), 61, of Gurnee, formerly of Arlington Heights.
Loving mother of Kathleen (Donald) Rice of Alphareta, GA and Scott (Serena) Dickinson of Sandwich, IL; fond grandmother of Kristen, Ryan, Shaun and Bradley Rice and Tara and Shea Dickinson; beloved daughter of Ruth and the late George Bennison; dear sister of Patricia Geer and Michael Bennison.

Gloria B. Galaviz
Gloria B. Galaviz, 43, of Waukegan passed away Sunday, November 23, 2003 at Hospice of the North Shore, Skokie, IL. She was born April 16, 1960 in Mexico. She was a member of Holy Family Church of Waukegan and worked at Cherry Electric in Waukegan.
Survivors include her husband, Baltazar; two daughters, Crystal Galaviz and Denise Galaviz; and a son, Baltazar Jr. all of Waukegan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2003 with a Wake Service at 8 PM in the MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF WAUKEGAN, 1521 Washington St. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Carrizo Springs, TX. 847-336-0127.

J. C. Lofton
J. C. Lofton, 75, of Winthrop Harbor died on Friday, November 21, 2003 at St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan.
He was born December 26, 1927 in Lee County, Mississippi, moved to Zion in 1947 and to Winthrop Harbor in 1955. He was a Charter Member of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor where he also served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 40 years, served as Deacon for 50 years and sang in the choir for several years. Currently he taught the Senior Adult Bible Class at the church. He was also a member of Waukegan Masonic Lodge #78 and the Scottish Rite. He was employed for over 40 years with American Motors and Chrysler in Kenosha, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edna; a son, Rev. Eddie (Barbara) Lofton of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Sheree (Jim) Allstrom, Ricki (John) McCaulley, Richard (Jackie) Lofton and Scott Lofton; nine great grandchildren; a great great grandson; three brothers, Charlie (Helen) Lofton of Fulton, Mississippi, Nathan (Ruth) Lofton and Joe (Dorothy) Lofton both of Red Bay, Alabama; and a sister, Betty (Tryson) Wileman of Red Bay, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Dellar Lofton; and a sister, Earline Lofton.
Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2003 from 5 to 9 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, 3001 W. 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor with Pastor Michael Brown officiating along with Rev. Eddie Lofton, J.C.'s son assisting. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church have been suggested.

John Michael "Mick" Mule'
John Michael "Mick" Mule', 64, a recent resident of Grayslake, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at his home. He was born June 7, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI and was raised in Waukegan, where he was a 1957 graduate of Waukegan Twp. High School. He was also a graduate of Georgia Tech University in Atlanta and a former resident of Libertyville, Mundelein and Hawthorn Woods. John was a former mfg. sales rep. for the TRW Corp. and later joined the Circuit Sales Corp. in Itasca.
Surviving are his wife Julie Mule' and three children, Lisa (Dennis) Black and Mark Mule', both of Grayslake and Lynn (Patrick) Schmidt of Spring Grove; five grandchildren, Alex, Jesse, Devin, Nick and Luke; four brothers, Sam "Bud" (Kathy) Mule' of Eagle River, WI, Peter (Joyce) Mule' of Grayslake, Mark Mule' of Spooner, WI, Tony (Jo) Mule' of Canon City, CO and his sister-in-law, Marijo Zupancic of Woodruff, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Elizabeth Mule' and by his brother Bob.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ascension cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to either the Aplastic Anemia Association or the Riverside Foundation, in his memory.

Leslie "Les" Nelson
Leslie "Les" Nelson, 74, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at home following a long illness.
Les was born April 6, 1929 in Morton, MN, came to this area at the age of 3 and has lived in Winthrop Harbor most of his life. He owned and operated Nelson Construction Inc. of Winthrop Harbor and he was a life member of Harley Owners Group and was a member of Family Motor Coach.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Donna; children Larry (Teena) Nelson of Chandler, AZ, Chuck (Deb) Nelson of Byron, IL and Cheryl Burchett of Genoa City, WI; five grandchildren Todd (Amanda) Nelson of Mesa, AZ, Makara (Josh) Dozier of Zion, Erica (Rhett) Slider of Phoenix, AZ, Samantha Burchett of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Mallory Nelson of Byron, IL; two great-grandchildren Kassidy Muller of Phoenix, AZ and Matthew Nelson of Mesa, AZ; and one sister Lorrie (Jack) Senter of Eagle River, WI. He was preceded in death by two sisters Thelma Nelson and Deloris "Dolly" Jensen and by his parents Bert and Mae Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 7 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Dave Adams of New Song Church officiating and private cremation to follow. Ethel A. Stried
Ethel A. Stried, 84, of Zion passed away on Friday, November 21, 2003 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
Ethel was born February 9, 1919 in Watertown, Codington County, South Dakota to the late Arney A. and Ella Cliff. She moved to Zion at the age of 13 with her parents. She worked at the Candy Factory in Zion, at Abbott Labs in North Chicago and she played the organ at her brother's roller rink, The Ardon, in Zion years ago. She also taught piano and organ for over 50 years to "hundreds" of students and she earned the Hall of Fame award from the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
She is survived by two sons, Gene (Margaret) Stried of Zephyrhills, Florida and Roger (Tammy) Stried of Zion; two daughters, Pamela (Terry) Wickersheim of Zion and Patricia (Michael) Krueger of Kenosha, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, Alan Stried, Sheri, Corbett, David and Daniel Brown, David and Shawn Wickersheim, Dawn Musich, Wesley and Melissa Snow, Angela and Philip Broker Jr. and Tahnee and Timothy Krueger; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Arland, Alvin, Merle, Erling, Arnie, Ralph, Merril, Sidney and Marvin Cliff.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2003 from 5 to 8 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 26 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.

Ronald E. Sutera, 53, loving husband and friend of Linda E., nee Irmiter; beloved son of the late Samuel Jr. and Eunice, and son-in-law of Irene Russell and the late Frank Irmiter Sr.; dear brother of Debra (Ted) Avgoustis and the late Samuel (Glenda) Sutera; brother-in-law of John Irmiter, Thomas (Patricia) Irmiter, Nancy (Chuck) Boomer and Frank (Susan) Irmiter, Jr.; loving uncle of Sunny Sutera, Amanda (Richard) Bryant, Karen (Michael) Fahey, Constance (Stephen) Schnabel, Chris and Nick Boomer; fond great-uncle of Brian, Tyler, Samantha, Matthew and Jill; dearest Godfather of Robert LaVeau; dear cousin and friend to all who knew him; best friend to Aja and Luca.

Mamie V. Worthington
Mamie Valerie Worthington was born February 14, 1957 to James and Evertis Gilmore. She accepted the Lord in her life at an early age. She unexpectedly departed this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of Zion-Benton High School in Zion and attended colleges in Illinois and Texas. She was employed by the Port of Houston.
She leaves to continue celebrating her life her husband, William; three sons, Eric, Douglas and William Jr.; two daughters, Elouise (Israel) Burks and Karen Worthington; a grandson, Eric Jr.; three granddaughters, Ayesha, Tia and Isabelle; her father, James (Fannie) Gilmore; four sisters, Bertha (James) Oliver, Jeanell (Reggie) Hooker, Rita (Johnnie) Jones and Tonjia (Del) Yarbrough; six brothers, Roy (Tina) Gilmore, Raymond (Wanda) Gilmore, Eric Gilmore, Rodney (Rose) Gilmore, Alexis (Carolyn) Gilmore and Gregory (Tonya) Gilmore; a very special mother-in-law, Eloise Worthington; a special uncle and aunt, George and Gladys Fullilove; a very special sister-in-law, Michelle Haskins; a very special friend, Linda Cobb; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evertis Gilmore; and a sister, Gracie Gilmore.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 11 AM at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 1727 27th Street, Zion, Illinois with Bishop Joseph Coburn Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services at Christina Faith Fellowship Church. Marian B. Farmer
Marian B. Farmer, 76, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away Mon. Nov. 22, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Fairmont, MN and was a former resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sunnyvale, CA. Marian was also a former 27 year resident of Niles, living in Vernon Hills since 1997. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She was also active with the League of Women Voters and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are 4 children, Randall (Michele) Farmer of Mundelein, Ralph (Tonia) Farmer of Hillsboro, MO, George (Colleen) Farmer of Dubuque, Iowa, Bylo Jane Farmer of Boulder, CO and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine Blesi, by her husband David "Hap" Farmer in 1992 and by her sister Jane Slight.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Wed. Nov. 24 at the Lakeview Presbyterian Church on Lakeview Parkway, 1 mile N. of Route 60 in Vernon Hills. An interment service will be at 11:00 A.M. Sat. Nov. 27 at Lakeside cemetery in Fairmont, MN. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary of Vernon Church Building Fund (Organ Fund) in her memory.

Robert D. Gilly
Robert D. Gilly, 84 years old, of Antioch, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2004. He was born March 9, 1920 in Elgin, IL, the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Winkler) Gilly.
He was a retired auto machanic from Drover's and then Reber's, both of Barrington, IL. He had lived on the family farm in Barrington and also lived in Wauconda and Lake Zurich, before moving to Antioch in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Milburn Congregational Church. He enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, watching Cubs baseball and being with his family.
On May 11, 1946 he married Hildegarde B. Dietz in Palatine, IL and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. (Lynn) of Roselle, IL and Barry W. (Marge) of Spring Grove, IL; four grandchildren, Erich, Marcus, Kathy and Sandy; his son-in-law, David Smrecek of Waukesha, WI; three brothers, Charlie (Marge) and Earl (Rosemary), both of Barrington, IL and Daniel (Darlene) of Marengo, IL; three sisters, Velma (James) Willis and Mary Ann (Larry) Roselein, both of Prescott, AZ and Ethel (Dave) Baresel of Dundee, IL; and his cousins, nephews and nieces.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara E. Smrecek and his sister, Alice (the late Ed) Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, November29, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM. Private interment will be in Randhill Park cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society or Condell Hospice of Libertyville, IL, in his memory.
