Arthur C. Krausser
Arthur C. Krausser, 79 years old, of Lenoir City, TN, formerly of Lindenhurst and Salem, WI, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2004 at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Arthur had served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 6th Defense Battalion Defenders of Midway during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post #120 and VFW Post #5150 in Loudon, TN. He was a Master Mason, serving 58 years with Westchester Masonic Lodge #995.
Survivors include two sons, Michael B. (Megumi) Krausser of Okinawa, Japan and Thomas C. Krausser of South Bend, IN; his daughter, Elizabeth A. (Sean) Harding of Pearl City, HI; four grandchildren, Crystal and Russell Krausser, and Maika and Maiya Harding; nephews, Darryl Kucera of Melrose Park, IL and Duane Kucera of Bellwood, IL; nieces, Dawn Kucera of Palatine, IL and Debbie (Mark) Keelan of Sacramento, CA.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Flo Mabelle Krausser on October 17, 2001; his parents, Curt O. and Elizabeth B. Krausser; and his sister, Dorothy Kucera.
Memorial Visitation will be held 2PM until 5PM Sunday, November 28, 2004 at Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St (Rte 83), Antioch, IL 60002.

Alice B. Paschke
Alice B. Paschke, 72 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Monday Nov. 22, 2004 at the Midwestern Regional Hospital, Zion, IL. She was born March 15, 1932 in Chicago, moving to Antioch in 1967 after spending summers and weekends there for many years. Alice was a member of the United Methodist Church, The A.A.R.P., The Senior Citizens, The Women of the Moose Chapter 735, TOPS and the Catholic Charities. During her life she was a Banker, an agent for the Rail Road, worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent, was a Key Punch operator for Camosy Construction and was a bus driver for District #34.
Survivors include 3 sons, William, Robert and Brian Paschke and her former daughter-in-law Heidi Paschke all of Antioch. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Paschke on June 5, 1988.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday Nov. 27, 2004 at the United Methodist Church, 848 Main St., Antioch, with the Rev. Gary L. Curl, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery, River Grove, IL. Visitation will be Friday Nov. 26, 2004 from 4 until 8PM at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83), and at the church Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Vera L. SmallVera L. Small, 86, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Fri. Nov. 19, 2004 at the Westmoreland Home in Lake Forest. She was born April 29, 1918 in Scottsburg, IN and had been a resident of Libertyville for most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago and was a veteran of US Army Nursing Corps, serving in Europe, Asia and Africa during WW II. Vera was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Libertyville, having served as a past president of the United Methodist Women and also very active with the Libertyville Girl Scout Program.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Sharon (Gilbert) Mitchell of McConnell, IL, Susan (John) McCormick of Grayslake; 3 grandchildren, Julia (Dan) Davis, Jennifer and Katie McCormick and a great granddaughter, Megan Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Elliott, by her husband Earl B. Small on Oct. 27, 1996, by her grandchildren, Michael John Mitchell and Pamela Mitchell and her brother Ivan Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sat. Nov. 27 at the United Methodist Church, 429 Brainerd Ave. Libertyville. Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of service on Saturday at the church. William A. Whittle
William H. Whittle, 88, of Lindenhurst, IL, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2004 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 16, 1916, the son of the late William, Sr. and Alice (nee Kraeger). He was a resident of Lindenhurst for the past three years, having moved there from Mt. Vernon, Virginia and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Antioch, IL. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 53 years of service. He was inducted into the Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame in 1992. On March 4, 1941, he married
Shirley Webb.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; his daughter, Sharon (Larry) Olson of Antioch, IL; his grandchildren, Donald, Kimberley and Bradley; and his great grandson, Tyler. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip; and sisters, Helen, Elizabeth and Doris.

Virginia E. Czyzewicz
Virginia E. Czyzewicz, 80, of Lindenhurst, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL.
She was born on September 16, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a resident of Lindenhurst since 1985, moving there from Chicago. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Judy) and Gerald, from Lindenhurst; and her grandchildren, Christine, Adam, David, Ashley and Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and by her sister, Delores (Lance) Null.
Funeral Services will begin at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2002 from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83, Lake Villa, IL to Prince of Peace Church for a 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass. Interment, Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL. The family will meet with friends and relatives on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
Joseph M. DeMarco
Joseph M. DeMarco, 75 years old, of Lindenhurst, IL passed away Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, IL.
He was born August 25, 1927 in Hazeton, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Pasqua (Scaran) DeMarco. He moved from New Jersey to Hebron, IL and to McHenry in 1955. In 1997, he moved to Lindenhurst. Joseph was a member of St. Patrick Church of Wadsworth. He served in the US Army during WW II as a cook and a competitor in boxing and was a member of the VFW of McHenry. He could get along with anyone, had a good sense of humor and loved to invent things. Before his retirement, he worked in construction and was a maintenance man with IMC of Skokie and Volvo White Trucking of Libertyville, was a self-employed welder and sold window-well covers.
On September 13, 1949 he married
Peg Vacca in Orange, New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Peg; three sons, Joseph (Cynthia) of Encino, CA, Rick (Janice) of Barrington, IL, William (Lucianne) of Lindenhurst, IL; one daughter, Viola (Tim) Butler of Antioch, IL; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Kepp of NJ and Grace (Mickey) Tomasco of PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Guido and Jerry, and one sister, Bebe.
Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2002 at St. Patrick Church, Wadsworth, IL. Entombment will be in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. William C. Goelz
William C. Goelz, age 84, formerly of Kenosha, late of Port Charlotte, Florida, died on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Port Charlotte.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 3, 1918 to the late LeRoy and Anna (Lubner) Goelz.
He graduated from Senn High School in Chicago, IL. He resided in Lake County, Illinois most of his life. After retiring, he lived in Texas for 14 years before moving to Kenosha in 1995 and to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1999.
From September 16, 1940 until November 10, 1945 he served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was a world champion professional wrestler for most of his career and was later employed by Donaldson Distributing, Waukegan, Illinois.
He was a member of The American Legion, Fox Lake, Illinois, A.A.R.P. and Teamsters Local 301, Waukegan, Illinois.
Survivors include one son James (Kim) Goelz of Lake Villa, Illinois; three daughters Georgia (Harry) Seluga of Naples, Florida, Ginger (Bill) Mitchell of Lake Forest, California and Gloria (Kent) Childs of Lake Zurich, Illinois; one sister Lillian Pedder of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
His parents; a brother LeRoy; two sisters Alice and Florence and a son Edward Goelz preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at 11:00 A.M. at PIASECKI-ALTHAUS FUNERAL HOMES, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53144. (262) 658-4101. Dorothy V. Huck
Dorothy V. Huck, 69, of Round Lake Beach passed in Libertyville on November 21, 2002. She was born September 14, 1933 in Johnstown, PA to the late Matson J. and Sara (nee Steckman) Valentine. She worked for Baxter Healthcare Corporation, retiring in 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Mark) Borowicz of Round Lake; grandson, Christian Borowicz of Round Lake; sisters, Joan Dean of Streamwood; Jean Valentine of Lebanon, TN; Alverda (Edward) Semich of Windbur, PA; brothers, Lee Valentine of Johnstown, PA; and Sonny (Ann) Valentine of Florida; nieces Sharon Dean of Streamwood; and Marilyn (Michael) Peterson of Elgin, and numerous other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Huck; and brothers, William Valentine, James Valentine, and Charles Valentine.

Diane M. Kuhnwald
Diane M. Kuhnwald, 60 years old of Richmond, IL, a former resident of Antioch, IL for many years, passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at her home. She was born July 9, 1942 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Wallace and Helen (Buszta) Graczyk.
Diane attended St. Peter Grade School and Antioch Community High School and nursing training at the College of Lake County. As a registered nurse she was the Director of Quality Assurance for St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL and also worked in ICU, CCU and Surgical recovery. Other areas of nursing was in home health care, hospice and extended care nursing. Her interest included Wildlife Conservation and Photography. Further, she was a strong supporter of Earthwatch and the World Wildlife Fund. On August 22, 1980 she married
James Kuhnwald in Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include her husband, 2 sons, Gerald (Erin) Risch of Lake Villa, IL and Thomas Risch of Antioch, 1 daughter, Sharon Risch of Antioch, her grandson Brandon White, her father Wallace Graczyk of Lady Lake, FL, her step children Todd (Tami) Kuhnwald of San Antonio, TX and Ingrid Kuhnwald of Evanston, IL, 2 sisters Joyce Knigge in Flagstaff, Arizona and Janice Edwards of Antioch. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Graczyk.

Mary V. Queen, 81 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Victory Memorial Hospital. She was born July 31, 1921 in St. Paul, MN, moving to Antioch in the late 1950's. She was a member of St. Peter Church and the Council of Catholic Women and many other religious organizations.

Everett Queen in Naperville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1990. Survivors include 3 sons, David (Patricia) of Round Lake Beach, IL, James (Patricia) of St. Charles, MO and Michael (Carolyn) of Collins, MO, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 3 grandsons, Mark, Donald and Noah Queen.

Mary A. Ornatek, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA.
She was born in Cascade, WI on August 23, 1923. She lived most of her life in North Chicago until moving to Hanover, Illinois in 1988.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Joknis; her husband, Anthony; a sister, Bertha; and a brother, Anton.
She is survived by five children, Carol (Al) Sasse of Waukegan, Anthony (Kathryn) of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Bridget (John) Sturm, Mark (Kathleen) and Peter all of Hanover; nine grandchildren, Emily (Jamie Garvin), Laura Sasse, Anne Ornatek, Monica Sasse, Zachary Ornatek, Jamie and Jason Reck, Christina and Ricky Snipes.

Anna Erika Swanson Pesuth, 82, a life long resident of Lake Forest, died November 21, 2002 in Lake Forest. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, served with the Women's Guild and earned a rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
