Roland A. Muller
Roland A. Muller, 84, of Lake Bluff, IL, passed away Sunday November 18, 2001 at the Libertyville Manor. He was born January 5, 1917 in Chicago, was a former resident of Arlington Heights and has lived in Lake Bluff for the past 23 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served with the Field Artillery in the European Theatre during WW II. Roland was also a retired Dairy Sales Engineer, employed by the Illinois Creamery in Chicago and was a member of the Elk's Lodge in Des Plaines and the Grand Masonic Lodge in Kenosha, WI.
Surviving are his wife Helen; one son, Michael (Nancy) Muller of Schaumburg; two daughters Patricia (David) Salch of Bloomington, IL and Joanne (Robert) Schwerman of Green Oaks; seven grandchildren Abbey, Matthew, Benjamin, William (Michelle), Thomas, April and Karen; two great grandsons Jonathan and Zakary; one brother Gillis Muller of Terre Haute, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville, with Pastor Robert A. Davis, officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Elk's Children's Fund or American Lung Association in his memory.
Henry "Jack" Wallenwein
Henry "Jack" Wallenwein, 76, of Waukegan, passed away Monday, November 19, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. He was born January 26, 1925 in Libertyville. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waukegan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years Betty Wallenwein; two children, Suzanne Wallenwein and Patti-Jeanne Cox, both of Waukegan; three grandchildren, Christine, Brian and Amanda; one great-grandchild, Libby; one brother, James Reynolds of Harbor Vita, WI; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Waukegan High School Athletic Department.
Ruth C. Zaugg
Ruth C. Zaugg, 84, of Lake Forest, formerly of Waukegan, died November 18, 2001.
Ruth was the wife of Harold; mother of Julie Zaugg of Normandy, France, Richard (Donna) Zaugg of Clinton Twp., N.J. and Robert (Barbara) Zaugg of San Diego, CA; grandmother of Ali & Taqi Kizilbash, Timothy & Laura Zaugg and Alexander & Claudia Zaugg; great grandmother of Cara Kizilbash; and sister of Leona Hodum and Kenneth Hodum.

Herbert W. Krug
Herbert W. Krug, 50, of Waukegan, passed away at his home Saturday, November 15, 2003. He was born in Waukegan July 21, 1953, son of the late Herbert and Margaret (nee Newman) Krug.
He worked as a dispatcher for Yellow Cab of Waukegan.
He is survived by his sisters, Judi Pruitt of Chatsville, GA, and Ruthann (Jim) Keevan of Lindenhurst; and his nieces, Margie and Elizabeth Keevan of Lindenhurst.

Christine Miskanin
Christine "Chris" (nee: Wojtkiewicz) Miskanin, a resident of Grayslake for 30 years passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, IL. She worked close to 10 years at College of Lake County and was a part time hairdresser out of her home. Chris loved cooking and baking-she even became the first Polish woman to win an Irish soda bread cooking contest at the Milwaukee Irish Fest. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being near her close-knit family, and everyone will miss her.
Chris is survived by her husband of 31 years, Charles Miskanin whom she wed September 23, 1972, her children Kimberly (Rob) Gillespice and Brian Miskanin, her mother Sabina Wojtkiewicz, her brothers Joseph (Ricci) Wojtkiewicz, John (Mary) Wojtkiewicz, Frank (Aveline) Wojtkiewicz, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Henry Wojtkiewicz and her mother-in-law Anna Sedlack.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2003 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, LTD., 410 E. Leslie L. Pagel, Jr.
Leslie L. Pagel, Jr., 49, of Green Oaks, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at his home. He was born December 19, 1953 in Oconto Falls, WI, was a former resident of Naperville, living in Green Oaks for the past eight years. He was a 1972 graduate of Oconto Falls High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Les was the Vice President of Platform and Product Management for the C&H; Global Corporation in Burr Ridge and was a member of numerous engineering organizations.
Surviving are his wife Margaret Pagel and three children, Caryl, Paul and Mike Pagel, all of Green Oaks; his mother Jeanette (Robert) Arndt of Suring, WI; two sisters, Sandra (Don) Shave of Sussex, WI and Amy (Tom) VandenLangenberg of Green Bay, WI; three brothers, Dan (Marie) Pagel and Randy (Maureen) Pagel, both of Oconto Falls and Brian Pagel of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie L. Pagel, Sr. and by his sister Kathy.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 22 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ascension cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook.
Russell A. Perkins
Russell A. Perkins, 79, of Lake Villa, IL passed away Monday, November 17, 2003 at St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, IL. He was born June 29, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Clarence A. and Undine (Iverson) Perkins and has lived in the Lake County area since the 1950's. Russ served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was awarded the Purple Heart and is a member of the American Legion Post in Lake Villa. He was a mechanic for Foreman Motors in Chicago, was a licensed electrician and retired after working 32 years as an inspector for American Motors in Kenosha, WI.
Survivors include his daughter, Marie Perkins of Round Lake Park, IL; his dear companion, Patricia Ritschke of Lake Villa; and his former wife, Janice Perkins of Winchester, VA; a niece, Kathy Berndt; and a nephew, Jeff Smerling.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Undine Allen.
Services and final disposition will be private. Please omit flowers.

Dorothy Mae Sedlauskas
Dorothy Mae Sedlauskas, 71 years old, of Lake Villa, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. She was born July 27, 1932 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna (Sisty) Redding, moving to Lake Village in 1966. Dorothy was a leader for the Chain O Lakes 4-H for 28 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Lake Villa and had worked in food service for several years.
On August 27, 1949 she married
Stanley Sedlauskas in Waukegan.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Stanley; one son, Michael of Lake Villa, one daughter, Kathy (Douglas) Solheim of Trevor, WI; two grandchildren, Abby and Elizabeth Solheim; two sisters, Norma Motley of Lake Villa and Helen Schad of California City, CA; many nieces and nephews and many dear friends including Betty Ogden of Burlington, WI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Raymond Chandler.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 21, 2003 at Prince of Peace Church, Rtes. 83 and 132, Lake Villa, IL. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Rte. 120 and Hunt Club Rd., Libertyville, IL. Rollin L. "Butch" Tippet III
Rollin L. "Butch" Tippet III, 46, of Winthrop Harbor, IL., passed away November 16, 2003 at his home. He was born April 8, 1957 in Evanston, IL.
In his younger years, "Butch" enjoyed sailing and he recently received his Associates Degree from Columbia College. He was employed at Cardinal Health for the past 20 years where he was an Inventory Analyst.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Patricia "Tish" (nee Loesch); one daughter, Maureen Elizabeth; his father, Rollin L. Tippet II of Holiday, FL; five sisters, Michel (Richard Houser) Stafford of Schaumburg, IL, Kristin (Kevin) Shay of Coralville, IA, Elizabeth Tippet of Iowa City, IA; Megan (Patrick) Sullivan of Coralville, IA and Adrienne Tippet of Coralville, IA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Spector in 1995.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at 7:00 PM at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF GURNEE, 305 cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL. Visitation Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.

Doris Ellen Blank, 84, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2004 in Libertyville.
Wife of the late Elmer. Mother of Dorothy J. Elzy of WI, Carol Blank of Waukegan, Richard E. (Joanna) Blank of Libertyville, Ruth E. (D.V.M., Ph.D.) Blank and the late Judith A. Blank, who passed away in July of 1991. Grandmother of five and great-grandmother of three.

Clarence R. Burns
Clarence R. Burns, 70, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at home, following a battle with cancer.
Clarence was born July 27, 1934 in Grand Junction, CO and came to this area in 1953, while serving in the U.S. Navy and stationed at Great Lakes. He retired in 1997, after 35 years with Danaher Controls in Gurnee, and was currently employed at Consumers Cooperative Credit Union of Waukegan. Clarence was also past president and member of the Winthrop Harbor School Board, past president and member of the Winthrop Harbor Lions Club, and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his former wife, Jerri Burns of Winthrop Harbor; daughter, Terri Hudrick of Winthrop Harbor; son, Kevin (Patti) Burns of Winthrop Harbor; four grandchildren, Heather, Sean, Trevor and Brandon; two sisters, Beverly Campbell of Mesa, AZ and Dorleen (Wayne) Jensen of Salt Lake City, UT; and one brother, James (Lucille) Burns of Grand Junction, CO.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Burns; one sister, Barbara Jean Minrich; and his parents, William and Clara Burns.
There will be no funeral service. The family will receive friends at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, on Monday, November 22, 2004, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
Emanuel Hicks Jr.
North Chicago - Emanuel Hicks Jr., age 63, of North Chicago, passed away November 18, 2004, at his home. He was born March 30, 1941 in Waukegan to Emanuel Sr. and Addie (Thomas) Hicks. He married
Etta Mason on November 22, 1985 in Waukegan. He was employed for 20 years at U.S. Steel as a supervisor and steelworker. He was also employed at R. Lavin & Son as a forklift driver for 20 years. Emanuel enjoyed fishing and baseball. He loved to ride motorcycles, and barbecue.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Etta; his children, Emanuel (Ellie) Hicks III of Zion, Sojna (Nelson) Hicks-Tate of Gurnee, Carla (David) Jacko of WI, and Antoine (LaTanya) Mason of N. Chicago; nine grandchildren, Tiffani, Meoshi, Nikki, DeLoucous, Guinnivere, Antoine Jr., Talesha, Aaron and Tierriah; brothers and sisters, Shirley Robinson, Yvonne (John) McKinney, Vanessa (Fred) Washington, Surthul Hicks, Greg Hicks, Darrol Hicks, Karen (Dale) Godbolt all of Waukegan, and Gloria Jennings of Detroit; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Mayfield, and both his parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth, North Chicago.
