Maryann Wysocki
Maryann Wysocki (Spitulski), age 82, passed away on October 19, 2002 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on March 15, 1920 in Portland, Oregon and later moved to North Chicago. Maryann relocated to Arizona 17 years ago after she retired from the Great Lakes Credit Union where she worked for 26 years. A former member of Holy Rosary Church in North Chicago, she was involved in the St. Elizabeth's Club and the Rosary Ladies Sodality.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas A. (Maryann) and Mark S. (Erin) along with six surviving grandchildren, three in Minnesota, Teresa, Maria and Angela and three in Arizona, Brianey, Jillian and Garrett. Maryann is also survived by her brother, Stephen Spitulski of Milwaukie, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse in 1977.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 11:00 AM, beginning with visitation and rosary service and followed by a mass at Queen of Peace Parish, 900 14th St., North Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Maryann's name to the Alzheimers Association.
Abdullah, Jameen
Jameen Abdullah, a.k.a. James Edward Denton, 50, of Gary Indiana died Monday, October 29, 2001 at Highland Park Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1951 in Indianola, MS. He was a member of carpenters Union Local #1005, Hobart, IN.
He is survived by his former wife Rosetta Abdullah of Zion; three sons: Ransley Denton, Salaam Shaheed Denton and Muhammad Abdullah, all of Zion; one daughter Kendra Woods of North Chicago; two grandsons Shaheed Denton Jr. and Lamont Ivy Jr.; two brothers George Denton on North Chicago and Dwane Denton of Waukegan; three sisters Nettie (Rayford) Whitehead of Ittabena, MS, Johnnie Mae Denton of Park City and Darlene (Allen) Jones of Waukegan; a very special love and fiancee Arlena Roby of Gary, IN; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Dorothy (nee Yates) Denton, one brother Henry Denton Jr. and two sisters Dorothy Vaughn and Shirley Thompson.
Memorial Services will be on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at 12 PM Noon at Jesus Name Apostolic Church on Lake and Genesee St., Waukegan, IL with the Rev. John I. Caples officiating. Dorothy Mae Ash
Dorothy Mae Ash, age 70, of Webberville, MI died October 30, 2001. She was born November 22, 1930 in Rockford, IL and married
Bill Ash on March 13, 1961 in Rockford. She was a bookkeeper for K-Mart and loved to quilt and crochet.
Survivors include her husband Bill; five children: Penny (Larry) Nipple of Winthrop Harbor; David Stroud of South Carolina, Don (Krissy) Stroud of Florida, Pam (John) Westphal of Webberville and Debbie Narrington of Fowlerville, MI; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother Carl Cutler.

Louis J. Boryc
Louis J. Boryc, 83, of Waukegan passed away Sunday, October 28, 2001 in Evanston, Illinois. He was born August 16, 1918 in Posen, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile (nee Kukar) and his son Joseph. He is survived by his children, Anne (Marc) Turgeon of St. Louis, Missouri; Bernard (Jane) Boryc of Madison, Wisconsin; Nicholas (Mary) Boryc of Naperville, Illinois; and Nanette Boryc of Waukegan; his grandchildren Michael, Susan and Christopher Turgeon; Jeffrey, Kathryn, SarahAnne, Rachel, and Katrina Boryc; his great-grandchildren Alexandra and Ryan Turgeon.
Louis loved animals and from a very young age was frequently seen with a dog at his side. He leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd Dog, Tara.
A talented tool and die maker, he retired from SkoDie, Inc., in 1988. Among his accomplishments was the creation of parts for the first Apollo moon landing.
He served in World War II as an Army soldier in the Company A, 179th Infantry, 45th Division "Thunderbirds". Serving as "advance recon" soldier, he was the first Allied soldier to enter Dachau on April 29, 1945.

Leela Mukund Dabholkar
Leela Mukund Dabholkar, 74, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Monday, October 29, 2001 at the Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born December 14, 1926 in Bombay, India and came to live in the United States in 1990. She was an attorney and a graduate of Bombay University.
Surviving are her children, Harsha (Aruna) Dabholkar of Libertyville, Mangala (Pradeep) Gandhi of Miami, FL and Maya (Manoj) Malhotra of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren; a brother Dileep Kamtekar and sister Sudha Kamtekar, both living in India. She was preceded in death by her husband Mukund Dabholkar in 1970.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2001 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) in Libertyville. Visitation will be from Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Fred Easterwood
Fred Easterwood, 58, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away Sunday October 28, 2001 at Provena St.Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Fred was born in McShane Alabama.
Fred was a Bus Driver at Pace North Division.
He is survived by five children, Tawana Easterwood, Janice Easterwood of Washington, Veda (Shevin) Reed, Fred V. Easterwood of Zion, Illinois, Wyvonnia Howard of Texas; eight grandchildren; six sisters, Betty Taylor, Ora Lee Franklin, Mary Grandberry, Rebecca Hinton, Rose Easterwood and Velma Easterwood; one brother, Jerry Easterwood; and one special friend, Jewel Eschols; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lucille Easterwood.
Visitation will be held Friday November 2, 2001 from 6-8 PM at Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 Dugdale Rd., Waukegan.

Carmen Gutierrez
Carmen Gutierrez, 66, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away Monday, October 29, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. She was born January 18, 1935 in Mexico. Carmen was a member of the Holy Family (St. Joseph) Church.
Survivors include her eight children: Baltazar Gutierrez, Jr., Benito (Patricia) Gutierrez, Ruben Gutierrez, Javier Gutierrez, Rosalinda (Arturo) Elicea, Marina Abarca, Irene (Roberto) Alvarez and Jose (Brenda) Gutierrez; eighteen grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband Baltazar in 1979.

Kenneth C. Leahy
Kenneth C. Leahy, 49, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at his home in the company of his wife Margaret "Peggy" Leahy, children Jennifer Leahy-Junas, Keanan Leahy and close friends Terry and Patty Langworthy. He is also survived by his son Patrick "Devin" Leahy and grandson William Liam Junas.
Ken was born March 27, 1952 in Evanston and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 29 years. He was a 1970 graduate of the Cascia Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the president of the Leahy-Wolf Company in Franklin Park. He coached many successful seasons for the Libertyville Boys Soccer organization and was also a member and director of the Northbrook Sports Club.

Gail A. McCreary
Gail A. McCreary, 66, a Zion, Illinois resident for the last 39 years, died October 30, 2001, at home.
Gail was born July 20, 1935 in Herculaneum, Missouri, the daughter of Pauline (nee Hewitt) Baker and the late Hensley Baker. She was married
to Allen McCreary on December 22, 1956 in Festus, Missouri.
Gail was an active member of the Northpoint Community Christian Church in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois where she was a current member of the building committee. She also attended the Zion Senior Citizens Club, did volunteer work for Zion-Benton Children's Services, and was a former Social Chairman for the P.T.A.
Gail is survived by seven children: Ross (Renee) McCreary of Waukegan, IL, Suzanne (Van) Vuyovich of Campbellsburg, IN, Paula (David) Heerdink of Evansville, IN, Mary (Scott) Tufts of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra Feltman of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Deborah (Dan) Gillies of Racine, WI, and Melissa (Keith) Richards of McHenry, IL; 26 grandchildren and a great-grandson; her mother, Pauline Baker of Herculaneum; two sisters: Gloria (Lonnie) Boyd of Hillsboro, Missouri and Joy Laurence of London, England; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Gail.
A visitation for friends and relatives will be held on Friday, November 3, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 A.M. at the old Northpoint Community Christian Church, 3205 - 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor, IL. Memorials to the church building fund would be appreciated in her memory.
Thomas A. Mobile
Thomas A. Mobile, 51, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2001 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born April 17, 1950 in Waukegan and was a former resident of Highland Park. A Libertyville resident for most of his life, Tom was a graduate of Rondout School and a 1968 graduate of Libertyville High School. He was also an avid reader, a former employee of Ace Hardware in Libertyville and a member of St. Joseph Parish.
Surviving are his step mother Jean Mobile of Round Lake; step sisters, Georgia (Joel) Nissen of Virginia Beach, VA and Debbie (Steve) Richards of Libertyville; three nieces, Natalie, Cassandra and Chrissy; a nephew Ben and great nieces Lindsey and Ashley. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins, including his cousin Ron (Judy) Mobile of Libertyville. He was preceded in death by his father Carmen Mobile and mother Mary (nee Novello) Stanton.
Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2001 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. Libertyville and services will continue to St. Joseph Church for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Ascension cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
Hazel F. Petroshius
Hazel F. Petroshius, 83 of Gurnee, IL, died Saturday, October 27, 2001 at Condell Hospital, Libertyville, IL. She was born on March 16, 1918 in Wilmette, IL.
She lived 40 years in Waukegan, IL, and the past 20 years in Gurnee, IL. She graduated from New Trier High School.
She is survived by one son, Edward (Kathy) Petroshius of Waukegan, IL; one daughter, Susan Petroshius, PH.D. (Kenneth Crocker) of Perrysburg, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Petroshius of Grayslake, IL; six grandchildren, Danica, Mary, Douglas, Angela, Kristen and Samantha; one great grandson, Graham; one sister, Frances (Seibert) Tregonning of Carterville, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Attorney Lawrence J. Petroshius, Sr. in 1987; one son, Attorney Lawrence J. Petroshius, Jr. in 1994; and one sister, Virginia.

Lorene (nee Nantz) Spradlin
Lorene (nee Nantz) Spradlin, 65, of Waukegan, passed away on October 29, 2001. She was born May 28, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky. Lorene was a lifelong housewife and devoted mother.
Survivors include her loving husband Jessie Spradlin of Waukegan; three children: Margret Violet Nantz North, Steve Spradlin and Frank Spradlin; two sisters: Christeen Currence and Johny-Sue Cornel; and five grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Spradlin, Kyle Alaxander Spradlin, Margret Victoria North, Christopher Langford and Amber Nichole North.
