John J. Oplt, Jr.
John J. Oplt, Jr., 67, of Zion, IL, formerly of Round Lake Beach, died on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at home. He was born July 2, 1937 in Chicago, IL and married
Norine Marshall on September 4, 1982 in Millburn, IL.
John retired from North Shore Gas in 1994, after 24 years of employment. He was a die-hard Cub Fan, loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Norine; seven children, John J. (Rachel) Oplt III of Barrington, IL, Debra Oplt of Elgin, IL, Robby (Wanda) Oplt of Gray, GA, Keith (Annette) Oplt of Glen Ellyn, IL, Joyce (David) Kopielski of Schaumburg, IL, Scott (Angela) Oplt of Genoa, IL, and Beth (Michael) Stibgen of Woodstock, IL; grandchildren, Alyssa, Natalie, Randy, Justin, Stephanie, Bradley, Mike, Lisa, Andrew, Ryan, Kaley, David and Baby Stibgen; a sister, Joanne (John) McTague of Hoffmann Estates, IL; a and brother, Jymm (Kathy) Oplt of Des Moines, IA. John was also Papa to his beloved pet dogs, Desiree, Lucy, Mugs, Spike, and Anna.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Oplt; and his parents, John and Helen Oplt.
A memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Chaplain Percy McCray, officiating. Interment will be private for the family. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 PM, until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home.

Dorothy "Dot" Perry
Dorothy "Dot" Perry, age 83, passed away Monday, November 8, 2004 at Terrace Nursing Home after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was born July 20, 1921 in Waukegan to William and Violet Young. In 1946, she married
Henry Perry in Oxford, NY, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1985.
Dot was an avid bingo player, and also liked teddy bears and enjoyed camping.
Survivors include seven children, Bonnie (Jim) Harris of ID, Charlene (George) Butula of MI, Sandy (Jim) McNatt of AR, John (Karen) Perry of IN, Henry (Toni) Perry of AZ, Marian (Weston) Schrader of Waukegan, and Marcella (Dwight) Collins of AZ; a brother, Harry Young of Waukegan; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2004 at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Donald H. Picard
Donald H. Picard, 80, of Waukegan passed away on Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Harbor House in Kenosha. He was born August 21. 1924 in Oconto, WI. Donald was a member of Johnson Motors Musky Club, Waukegan VFW and Waukegan Moose. He was a veteran of the United States Marines serving in World War II and Korea. He retired from Johnson Motors after 30 years of Service.
Donald is survived by his sons, Jeff (Margaret) Picard of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Terry (Brenda) Picard of Zion and Jay (Carolyn) Picard of Beach Park; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Shannon) Picard, Heather (Steve) Lange, Jennifer Picard, Josh Picard and Kimberly Picard; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary (Bob) Frost of Onconto, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Faye Picard in December 1, 2003; parents, Englebert and Katherine Picard; and brother, David (Corrine) Picard.

Marcella A. Roberts
Marcella A. Roberts, 71, of Waukegan passed away November 11, 2004 at Kindred Hospital, Milwaukee WI.
She was born March 1, 1933 in Dodge Center, MN. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, was a member of A.A.R.P., loved country music, square dancing and was a long time Girl Scout Leader. She was a retired government employee.
Survived by four children, Harry (Patricia) Roberts, David (Wendi) Roberts, Debra (Richard) Myslinski and Steven (Susie) Roberts; grandmother of 11, Jennifer and Kevin Roberts, Eric (Kimberly) Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Keely, Calla and Emily Myslinski, Steven Scott Statie and Katie Roberts; a brother, Lawrence Woolison; two sisters,Adeline Hartenek and Tillie Madsen; and many nieces and nephews. preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Woolison and Louise Penca.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, November 14, 2004 and 8:30 - 9:30 AM Monday, November 15, 2004 in the MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan, IL. Funeral Mass 10 AM Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Ave, Waukegan, IL. Burial will be in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.

Dominic Ronzani
Dominic Ronzani, age 91, of Highwood, Illinois, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at his Highwood home. He was born August 19, 1913 in Caltrano, Italy.
He was a member of the Highland Park Elks Club, Past District Deputy, North District of Illinois, and active member of St. James Church.
He was the husband of 64 years to Gertrude. Father of Marianna (Pat) Crotty of Elmwood Park, Kathy (Doug) Hardin of Boise, Idaho, Sister Jeanne Ronzani, SHCJ of Milwaukee, WI, Patty Ronzani of Highwood, Maggie Ronzani of Highwood, Nick Ronzani of Lake Forest, Carol Ronzani of Streamwood, Paul (Cathy) Ronzani of Highland Park and David (Kathy) Ronzani of Gurnee. Grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of six. Uncle of many.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm until 8 pm Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL. Funeral Mass at 10 am Monday, November 15, 2004 at St. James Church, 134 North Avenue, Highwood, IL. Interment at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Patricia Schenkel
Patricia Schenkel, born December 31, 1973 in Chicago, IL died on November 10, 2004 in Chicago. Patricia is survived by her husband, Kristopher Schenkel, her mother and father-in-law Don and Cathi Schenkel, and sisters and brothers-in-law Marc and Beth Schenkel, Raymond Schenkel, Lily Schenkel, all of Waukegan and Teresa Schenkel, Alabama, also her many friends in Uptown. Memorial services are private. Internment is at St. Peter's First United Church of Christ cemetery, Huntington, IN. Peace she sought. Peace she has found.
Roger L. Woodard
Roger L. (Woody) Woodard, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the age of 56. He was born on November 21, 1947 to Robert and Jeanne Woodard in Waukegan, IL.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jeanette; brother, James Lee Woodard of Zion, IL; sister, Linda Jeanne Woodard of Waukegan, IL; daughters, Gina Woodard, Tinamarie Perry, and Kathleen Castillo; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents; a brother, Jon Woodard; and a sister, Laura Wilson.
Private family services are to be held at a later date.
Donald J. Anderson Sr.,
Donald J. Anderson Sr., 89, of Erie, IL., formerly of Winthrop Harbor, died Friday, November 11, 2005 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at All Saints cemetery, South Kenosha, WI. Gibson Funeral Home in Erie, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson was born December 27, 1916 in Chicago, the son of Robert and Florence Scanlon Anderson. He married
Veronica Filipowicz on August 10, 1940 in Clinton, IA. She died on July 29, 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Donald was employed by Commonwealth Edison for 34 years working in Waukegan and at the Quad City Nuclear Station, Cordova. He was a 56 year member of the American Legion belonging to Winthrop Harbor Post and then the Denton Schreiner American Legion Post, Erie. He was also a member of the 40 & 8, the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, the NRA and was a past member and president of the Winthrop Harbor Boat Club.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia "Kim" and Louis Zeoli, Weymouth, MA., grandchildren and spouses; Rich and Marci Zeoli, McHenry, IL., Kevin and Jodi Zeoli, Mundelein, IL., Donald John and Bridget Anderson, Destin, FL., Albert Louis Anderson, Destin, FL., Tina and Jeff Wooten, Ridgeland, MS., Louis and Lee Ann Zeoli, Bristol, NH., Lisa and Michael O'Rourke, Weymouth, MA and Cheri Martin, Reno, NV; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald in 2000 and a granddaughter, Teri Zeoli Hendee in 2005
Attorney Tom Davis
Attorney Tom Davis, 63, of Zion, died suddenly on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha.
Tom was born October 10, 1942 in Miami, FL. After graduation from Florida State University with a degree in Education, he came to Zion in 1968 to teach Senior Government, and coached baseball for 11 years all at Zion-Benton Township High School. He then attended and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University, where he received his Masters in History. Later he graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and in 1978 he opened his own law practice in Zion, operating until the present time.
He attended Hope Presbyterian Church in Grayslake and was a longtime member of Christ Community Church of Zion, where he was involved for years in the Zion Passion Play as a cast member, and where he served as an Usher and taught Sunday School. His other interests included bowling, softball, golfing, and his family. Also, for many years he was heavily involved in raising and showing dairy goats for competition.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Lynne; children Erin (Ryan) Rowe of Valparaiso, FL, Ed (Valerie) Davis of Spring Grove, IL, and Leslie Davis of Antioch; two grandchildren,Jason Davis and Ethan Rowe; and two brothers, Jim (Rosemary) Davis of Port St. Lucie, FL and Frank (Margie) Davis of Flat Rock, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Sara Davis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 2005, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, at 10:30 AM at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion. Interment will follow at Hickory Union cemetery, Antioch, IL.
Glenn E. Nutgrass
Glenn E. Nutgrass, 81, of Wuakegan, passed away Friday, November 11, 2005 at Victory Memorial, Waukegan.
Glenn was born on November 28, 1923 in Curryville, MO.
He is survived by his loving wife Elinor; and beloved sons, Steve (Sue) Nutgrass; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Bryan; sister, Louise Hoots; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Nutgrass.
Services will be held at MARSH FUNERAL HOMES, 1521 Washington St, Waukegan, IL 60085 at 2:00 P.M. Interment Highland Memorial cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
James Robert Oatsvall
James Robert Oatsvall, 84, a resident of Zion for more than 50 years, died on Friday, November 11, 2005 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
James was born July 16, 1921 in Camden, TN, and married
Virginia Bruce on August 30, 1945 in Corinth, MS. He was a member of Meadowridge Baptist Church in Zion, where he had served as a Deacon. James was retired from American Motors in Kenosha, after 34 years of employment. He served in the European Theater in the U.S. Army in World War II, with the 9th Army Division. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; two sons, Robert (Diana) Oatsvall of Mobile, AL, and Jim (Belinda) Oatsvall of Winthrop Harbor, IL; three grandchildren, Brian (Gina) Oatsvall, Jason (Jami) Oatsvall, and Justin (Joslin) Oatsvall; two step-daughters, Stacy and Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia; three brothers, Carnell (Alma), Martin (Betty), and Tom (Audrey) Oatsvall, and a sister, Shirley Kennedy. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vernon and Paul Oatsvall; and two sisters, Imogene Jones and Charlene Kennedy.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2005, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Services will be held on Monday AT 10:30 AM at The Congdon Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.

Doris Eileen Adams
Doris Eileen Adams, 85, of Zion died on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center, Racine, Wisconsin.
She was born August 11, 1916 in Mullenville, Kansas and was a lifelong resident of Zion. She had been employed at Johns-Manville in Waukegan for 20 years and later with Regal China in Antioch for several years.
Survivors include one daughter, Judith (Fred) Zimdars of Racine; two grandchildren Alisha (Mark) Schalk and Eric (April) Zimdars, both of Racine; four great-grandchildren Robert Jeremy Spear, Katherine Alizabeth Spear, Amanda Lynn Zimdars and Anthony Lee Zimdars; one sister Donice (Ross) Lewis of San Bernardino, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Adams on August 7, 1997, by one sister Edris Dell Adsit of Fontana, California and by her parents Herbert and Ethel (nee Warden) Eddy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Rev. Willis Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Funeral Home. Memorial donations in her name to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
