Dennis "Mike" Gibson
Dennis "Mike" Gibson, 56, a long time resident of the Beach Park-Waukegan area died November 7, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. Born March 26, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Gibson was a Training Specialist with Goodwill Industries (Food Services) working at Great Lakes Naval Station. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Submariner, E-5, CS2 (SS) on the USS Henry L. Stimson SSBN 65 during the Vietnam War. Awards included the Submarine Dolphins, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation. Member of the American Legion, Alexander McKinlock Post 264, Lake Forest, IL. He was a former Manager of Christopher's Restaurant & Lounges in Waukegan and Lake Forest.

Robert W. Hendrickson
Robert W. Hendrickson, age 76, of Pembine, Wisconsin and Canyon Lake, Texas died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Robert was born on February 18, 1928 in Ironwood, Michigan, the son of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Kalla) Hendrickson.
Robert moved to Waukegan, IL at the age of 14 and attended school there. He entered the U.S. Navy and served during both World War II and the Korean War before being honorably discharged. After leaving the service, he resided in San Diego, CA where he worked for the Boeing Corp.
Robert married
Dorothy Ann Zielke on June 21, 1958 in Oswego, IL. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1994.
After being married
, they resided in Pleasant Prairie, WI for many years where he worked for the FanSteel Corp. of Waukegan and Lake Bluff, IL. He later worked for the Chrysler Motor Company in Kenosha, WI where he retired in 1990.
Robert then married
Marjorie Sherman Carr on September 2, 1995. They resided in Pembine, WI during the summers and Canyon Lake, TX during the winters. They were divorced in June of 2000.
Robert enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, coin collecting, woodworking, camping, traveling, and sporting events of all kinds.
Robert is survived by his two sons, David Hendrickson and Michael (Linda) Hendrickson of Kenosha, WI; one daughter, Jayne (Stephen) Nordstrom of Waukegan, IL; one sister, Betty (Robert) Hunt of Lena, IL; one grandson, Dillon Hendrickson of Kenosha, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and his wife, Dorothy, Robert is preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hendrickson and a grandson, Lee Harley Hendrickson.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service from 11:30 a.m. to Noon at First Baptist Church, 401 N. Genesee, Waukegan, IL. Reverend Keith Clark of First Baptist Church in Waukegan, IL will officiate. Private interment will be in Sunset Ridge Memorial cemetery in Kenosha, WI.
Omer Holloman
Omer Holloman, 108, a resident of Waukegan, IL for 22 years, formerly of Jackson, TN, died Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Pavilion of Waukegan Nursing Home.
She was born December 15, 1895 in Jackson, Tennessee and was united in holy matrimony to Tennie James Holloman.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Iola Williams of Chicago, IL; a step daughter, Ella Mae Harris of Minneapolis, MN; several grandchildren including, Polly (Ralph) Gray; and a host of great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; great great great grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tennie Holloman; a daughter, Maggie Metcalf; sons, James, Arbie and T.J.; a step son, Lotfon Holloman; brothers, George Hopkins, Henderson, Tip and Wake Hopkins; sisters, Lulu Hopgood, Molly and Nane; nephews, J.L. Eddings, Buster, Eddie and Hurbert Hopgood; and her parents, Esie and George Hopkins.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM Friday, November 12, 2004 at the Greater St. James Temple C.O.G.I.C., 2131 Wright Avenue, North Chicago, IL, Elder Ralph Gray officiating. David Robert Hyson
David Robert Hyson, 33 years old of Antioch, died suddenly at his home in Antioch, Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004. He was born January 15, 1971 in Great Lakes, IL the son of Robert and Suzanne (Carr) Hyson, living in Arlington Heights, IL before moving to Antioch in 1997.
He graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in 1989 and attended Winona State College in Winona, MN. He was employed by Six Flags Great America in the maintenance division. he loved cooking, Door County, WI and the Grateful Dead.
David is survived by his long time love, Tracy Kiederlen, his parents Bob and Sue Hyson of Homosassa, FL, his aunts and uncles: Donna (Bill) Darter of Melbourne, FL, Bob (Linda) Carr of Tulsa, OK, Bill (Diane) Hyson of Panama City Beach, FL, Ken (Jeanne) Hickman of York, PA and numerous loving cousins.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday November 14, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St., (Rte 83), with the Rev. Christopher Druce Jones, officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM prior to the services.

Jerome "Space" Ingalz, age 57 of Montello passed away peacefully November 8, 2004 at the UW Hospital, in Madison, WI. Jerome "Space" was born October 6, 1947 to Stanley and Florence Ingalz in Waukegan, IL. He was a Viet Nam vet and a true biker in every sense of the word with brothers all over the country. He had many friends and family who love and will miss him dearly. He was employed at Madison Kipp Corporation for many years and was known by many at Madison Kipp as Pork Chop.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Ingalz of Montello. Brothers: Tom Ingalz of CA and James Ingalz of CA. His son Kelly Ingalz of Zion. Daughters Lindsey Ingalz of Zion, IL, Eva and Tanya Tande of Madison. Grandchildren: Evan Ingalz, Gianna Sadie-Marie Torres, Anaya Tande, Ariana Yarn, and Destinee Robinson.

Idell Mayfield Jones
Idell Mayfield Jones was born on April 19, 1930 in North Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Effort and Elizabeth Mayfield. She departed this life on November 4, 2004.
Idell graduated from Waukegan Township High School. She continued her education at Bradley University. She worked as a civil service employee at Great Lakes and Fort Sheridan for a combined 38 years and was recognized with honors and high performance ratings during her tenure with civil service.
She was united in marriage to James D. Jones on April 21, 1951. They were happily married
for 43 years. There were four children born to this union, Diana, Sandra, Rita and James Jr. Idell accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Gideon Baptist Church for 38 years serving in various ministries. At the time she departed this life, she was serving as the Announcement Clerk of Gideon. She served in several ministries that included: First Aiders Ministry, BTU Teacher, Women's Day Co-Chairman for several years, and Women's Day Choir. She assisted whenever she was asked. She faced life and it's difficulties in a way that encouraged and gave strength to all those she touched.
Idell leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Diana of Waukegan, IL, Sandra of Tustin, CA, Rita (Robin) of Waukegan, IL and James Jr. (Rochelle) of Beach Park, IL; seven grandchildren, Regina of Tustin, CA, Kenneth of Manhattn, NY, Michelle of Beach Park, IL, Kim of Marietta, GA, Jamie (LeBron) of Beckley, WV, Aaron of Waukegan, IL and Ivory of Waukegan, IL; she also leaves to mourn three sisters-in-law, Ophelia Mayfield and Emma Mayfield both of North Chicago and Lucille Mayfield of Marietta, GA; and a very special niece, Florence Bailey of Waukegan; also to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Effort and Elizabeth Mayfield; her sister, Rozelle Mayfield; her four brothers, Clifford, Carnell, Style and John Stanley Mayfield; and her loving husband, James D. Jones.

David C. Kirschbaum
David C. Kirschbaum, 44, of Zion, IL, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan.
He was born November 29, 1959, in Rockford, IL and came to the Zion area in 1999. David was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and married
Susan Heisler on October 23, 1999, in Zion. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Zion, and was employed in the distribution department of Cardinal Health in Waukegan, IL for 18 years. David was a loving husband and son and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; a daughter, Sarah Heisler; father and mother, Charles and Gwen Kirschbaum of Rockford, IL; six sisters, Barbara (Richard) Fischer of Aurora, IL, Beverly (Michael) Derry of Rockford, IL, Pamela (Allen) Bell of Huntington Beach, CA, Kathy Genes of Winnebago, IL, Susan (David) Sigwart of Land O' Lakes, FL and Anne (Nic) Juric of Winnebago, IL; and a brother, Steven Kirschbaum of Rockford. Also survived are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and LaVerne Heisler of Zion, IL; and sister-in-law, Jamie (Brian) Langevin of Bright, IN and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a devoted canine pal, Gabbi.
David was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Derango in 2000.

Melvin T. Mathews
Melvin T. Mathews, 66, died Friday, November 5, 2004 after a short illness. He recently returned to his home in Waukegan after residing in Greenbay, WI.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mathews Sr.; mother, Rose Lee Mathews; one brother, Robert (Mackey) Mathews Jr.; and two sisters, Lillian Hathaway and Marion Richardson.
He is survived by one brother, Joe (Billy) Mathews; and two sisters, Rose Banks and Betty Melendez; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Anna Marie Pryor, departed her earthly life on November 5, 2004 at Midwestern Hospital in Zion, IL.
She was born to Charles and Anna Laura Whittaker on July 24, 1928 in Madison, IN. She was united in Holy Matrimony to William (Billy) in IN in 1950. Her family moved to the Lake County area in 1962.
Anna leaves to cherish her beloved sons Charles "Cac" "Sukie" (Amelia) and Donald Kevan both of Zion; her step daughter Mardele (Edwin) Beard of Louisville, KY; her beloved grandson Anthony (Kim) Pryor of CA; her beloved granddaughter Ladena Renee of Wkgn and the loves of her life, her great grandsons Tyree, Tyson and Tyreon McClinton of Wkgn; her sister Susan Young of NJ; brothers David (Joanne) Whittaker of Joliet, IL; and Richard (Peggy) Whittaker of TN; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Gladys Jackson of KY and her faithful companion Conway Kitty.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Billy; her Mother and Father; a brother Donald; and nephews Lenny and Jeff.

V. Jean Scott, 87 of Beach Park, died Monday, November 8, 2004, at home.
Jean was born March 13, 1937 in Cave in Rock, Illinois and was a former resident of Winthorp Harbor, IL. She moved to this area 4 years ago after residing in Florida for 17 years. Jean worked for Cherry Electric in Waukegan for many years, and retired from the General Electric Corporation in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a member of the Women of the Moose (in Zion and Florida), a member of Eastern Star, and of the VFW, Jean was an avid NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include three children, Ronald K. Davis of Kenosha WI, Michael E. (Carla) Davis of Beach Park, IL and Sheila (Andy) Burton of Gurnee, IL; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Sheri, Tim and Brandon; seven great-grandchildren, Micaela, Dakota, Tyler, Ashlyn, Kylie, Jonathan, and Harley; a brother William (Peggy) Schreiber of Tacoma Washington, and two nieces, Patricia and Christina Schreiber.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clifton Baylous and Iva Schreiber, and her husband, Bennie Scott in 1988.
