Ethel Roesch Lauritzen
Ethel Roesch Lauritzen, nee Roesch, 85 of Round Lake Beach passed away November 5, 2001 at St. Theresa Hospital in Waukegan. Mrs. Lauritzen was the past President and current Treasurer of Cedar Chips.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Lauritzen. She is also the loving mother of Richard (Jean) Lauritzen, Linda (James) Vavra, Charles (Pam) Lauritzen, Donald (Elaine) Lauritzen, Janice Macius, William Lauritzen, Bette Russell, the late Edward (Arlene) Lauritzen, the late Judith Michlevitz and the late Wendy Lauritzen; proud grandmother of 25; great grandmother of 36 and great great grandmother of 1.

Zona M. Musser
Zona M. Musser, 82, quietly passed away on November 2, 2001 in Escondido, CA where she resided her last 3 1/2 years. She was born in Omaha, NE and a northern Illinois resident for over 77 years. Zona was a homemaker until the death of her spouse in 1958. She spent 31 years as an elementary school educator in Mundelein at Santa Maria del Popolo, Washington Elementary, and Mechanics Grove Elementary Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustav Edward Musser, brothers, Fred Jr. and Christopher Magee, and grandson, Daniel Samelson. Survivors include her children; Kathryn (Daniel) Lunardi of San Diego; William (Linda) Musser of Seattle; Susan (George) Eberhardt of Mundelein; Elizabeth (Kirk) Samelson of Colorado Springs; 13 grandchildren: Anthony, Timothy, and Juliane Lunardi; Jennifer and Andrea Musser; Gustav, Jennifer, and Katy Eberhardt; Matthew, Scott, Michael, Kathryn, and Molly Samelson; and 2 great grandchildren, Peyton Holm and Aemelia Lunardi; and 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Magee of Chicago and Della Galvin of Sequim, WA.
A Requiem Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Santa Maria del Popolo at 116 N. Lake Street, Mundelein. Entombment will follow at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and American Heart Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to KRISTAN FUNERAL HOME.
Dianne L. Neubiser
Dianne L. Neubiser, 52 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2001 after a stoic battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born October 5, 1949 in Oak Park, IL the daughter of Edward and Alyce (Protis) Marcussen. She had lived in Lisle, IL spending summers at the home on the lake in Antioch since 1981, moving to town permanently in 1986. Dianne was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Antioch, loved reading and her special interests included racquetball, golf, boating, snowmobiling and the Chicago Bears. She attended the College of Lake County becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and was currently a receptionist at Flo's Family Hair Care in Antioch. On December 20, 1975 she married
Richard Neubiser in Forest Park, IL.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; three sons, Todd (Donna) of Warrenville, IL, Scott and Jeffrey both of Antioch; her mother Alyce Marcussen of Sarasota, FL; one brother, Jon (Freddi Ann) of Houston, TX and one sister, Jean LeClair of Wauconda, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Antioch, IL. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH,1055 Main St. (Rte 83) from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday and at the Church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Antioch District Library in her memory.
Harry E. Prestin
Harry E. Prestin, 86, of Libertyville, IL, passed away suddenly, Thursday, November 1, 2001 at his home. He was born March 1, 1915 in Lake Mills, WI, and had been a Libertyville resident since 1928. He was a 1933 graduate of Libertyville Township High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. His hobbies included being an avid golfer and musician, having been the leader of the group called the Golden Sounds.
Surviving are his son Blair Prestin of Burlington, N.C. and grandson, Scott Prestin of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen on December 12, 1996.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 at Roselawn cemetery in Madison, WI. Arrangements are by the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME in Libertyville.

Mark William Schlosser, age 42, of Brooksville, Florida passed away November 4, 2001 in Shands at the University of Florida.
He was born on November 9, 1958 in Waukegan, IL.
Survived by: his wife Maria Schlosser of Brooksville, FL; one son Travis Mark Schlosser of Brooksville, FL; parents John and Eileen Schlosser of Kenosha, WI., one sister Cathy (Gary) Hunt of Waukegan, IL., grandmother Evalyn Schlosser of Waukegan, IL., nieces Courtney and Janeile Hunt, nephew Matthew Hunt.

Astrid Abrahamson
Astrid Abrahamson, age 95, formerly of Lake Forest, died October 10, 2003 in Bromolla, Sweden. She was born November 19, 1907 in Ivetufta, Sweden.
She is the widow of the late Algot who died in 1973.
She is survived by a sister, Elsa Nohlon, and a brother, Gunnar Rosen, and nephews in Sweden.
She was a member of Iov-Oslov Lodge of Lake Forest.
Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2003 at Lake Forest cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Wenban Funeral Home, Lake Forest.
Ann M. Brunner
Ann M. Brunner, 98, of Waukegan passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, November 5, 2003. She was born May 29, 1905 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident.
She was a member of St. Anastasia Parish and the parish Women's Club and Anastasians. Ann had worked at Great Lakes many years ago.
She is survived by two sons, John (Carole) Brunner of Whitewater, WI and James (Margaret) Brunner of Delton, MI; grandchildren, John Brunner III, Thomas Brunner, Mary Beth Brunner, Ann Jebsen and James Brunner, Jr.; and five great grandchildren; as well as her niece, Joan Stoyanoff of Waukegan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1999; two sisters and one brother, Elizabeth Zoph and Josephine Jenkinson and William Jenkinson; also her granddaughter, Beth Ann Brunner.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 8, 2003 at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan. Interment will be at St. Mary cemetery in Waukegan. Friends may call at church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ann Brunner's memory may be made to St. Anastasia Church

Carmela Rosselli Cairo
Carmela Rosselli Cairo, 87, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at her home, in the loving presence of her family after a brief illness.
Born in Rota Greca, Provence of Cosenza, Italy, on December 27, 1915. She was the daughter of the late James F. (Vencenzo) and Annita (Russo) Rosselli. In 1927 she came to Kenosha. She attended St. James School in her neighborhood.
On February 12, 1944 at St. James Catholic Church in Kenosha she married
Frank G. Cairo. He passed away August 29, 1997.
Carmela was the owner and operator of Rosselli Dry Cleaning of Kenosha and Zion, Illinois, until her retirement in 1998. The family businesses started by her father were in operation for over 65 years.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Christian Mothers of St. James, Italian American Ladies Auxiliary, Catholic Womens Club, The Fellowship, Woman of the Moose, Senior Citizens of Kenosha and Women of Oggi of Palm Harbor, FL.
Surviving are one son, Jimmy (Rebecca) Cairo of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Annita Martini of Palm Harbor, FL; four grandchildren, Nino (Mary) Martini, Kevin (Ronni) Martini, Anthony Cairo, and Teresa Cairo; four great grandchildren, Alex, Alexander, Alyssa Carmela, and Logan Martini.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roseldo, and a sister, Rita Rosselli January 22, 2002.
Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Carmela Rosselli Cairo will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. James cemetery. Please omit flowers, memorials to the Charity of one's choice in Carmela's name would be appreciated.

Geraldine "Gerry" Donovan
Geraldine "Gerry" Donovan, 78, of Phoenix, AZ (formerly of Waukegan) passed away November 3, 2003 in Phoenix, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Donovan and a grandson, Thomas Donovan and is survived by four children; Craig Donovan, Lyle Donovan, Keith Donovan and Lynn Linderholm; and 15 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the Gurnee Community Church in Gurnee, IL. Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.
James "Bob" Fagan
James "Bob" Fagan, 68, of Wadsworth, IL, formerly of North Chicago, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at St. Mary Hospital, Rochester, MN.
Bob was a former President of the Lake County Tavern Owners Association, and helped form the Fox Lake Rotary Club, and served as it's first full time President. Bob owned and operated Bob's Place, Little Pete's and Mr. B's Lounge in North Chicago and most recently, Fagan's Squaw Creek Park. He was also a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sallie (nee Burtzos); four sons, James "Rob" Fagan of Des Plaines, IL, Steve Werner and Ronald (Cathy) Werner of Wadsworth and Mike Werner of Fox Lake, IL; nine grandchildren, Angela Renee, Stephen and Stuart Werner of Antioch, Jonathon and Jason Werner of Prescott, AZ, Caryn and Cory Werner of Wadsworth and Jennifer and James Robert Fagan IV of Dallas, TX; a brother, Charles (Brenda) Fagan of Ingleside; and five sisters, Geraldine (the late Hearl) Casey of Zion, Jean (George) Coffos of Tuscon, AZ, JoAnn (Carl) Cepon of Gurnee, Judy (Ed) Fojtik of Ingleside and JoDell (Dale) Meier of Irving, IL.
Bob was preceded in death by a son, George Werner; a grandson, Alan Michael Werner; a sister, Janet Cullum (2003); his parents, James "Bud" and Anna "Maxine" Fagan; nephews, Jeff Coffos and Charles Cullum; and a niece, Kimberly Swanson.
Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2003 from 3 to 7 PM and Services will be 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the SALATA FUNERAL HOME, 729 - 14th St., North Chicago. Interment will follow at North Shore Garden of Memories cemetery.

Elsa Fiorenza, 95, of Highwood, Illinois passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at the Highland Park Hospital. Born September 12, 1908 in S'Andrea Pelago, Modena, Italy and has been a resident of Highwood for 46 years. She was a member of the Saint James Church, Highwood.
Survivors include a son, Enzo (Margaret) Fiorenza of Highwood; two daughters, Orietta (Robert) Lapierre of Toledo, Ohio and Ornella (Raymond) Krewer of Lake Villa; six grandchildren, Enzo (Michelle) Fiorenza of Chandler, Arizona, David Fiorenza of Highwood, Joseph (Lori) Lapierre of Columbus, Ohio, Michelle Lapierre of Toledo, Ohio and Caryn (Walter) Page of Lake Villa; five great grandchildren, Bryan, Chandler and Leah Fiorenza, Devon Frankevic and Kylie Page; a sister, Iris Marchetti of Italy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orfeo on March 11, 1997; a granddaughter, Carrie-Ann Krewer on March 30, 1991; and six brothers and sisters.
