November 5, 2001. He was born
March 24, 1926 in Linwood, PA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Richard was the founder, chairman and former president of Gallagher Corporation located in Gurnee, IL, past president of Polyurethane Manufacturer's Association and the past commander of George Alexander McKinlock Post #264 in Lake Forest, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; four children, Richard (Deborah) Gallagher, Jr., Margaret (David) Esp of Spring Grove, Mary Carol Gallagher of Wadsworth and Sharon (Philip) Krawiec of Wadsworth; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Elizabeth (William) Bruton of Haverford, PA. He is preceded in death
by his parents Charles J. and Margaret McLaughlin Gallagher.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 9, 2001 at Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest. Interment will be at Lake Forest cemetery. Allene Garrison, 77 of Pebble Brook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Bluff, IL and formerly of Genesis House, Genoa, IL died
Friday, November 2, 2001. She was born
March 26, 1924 in Lima, Ohio.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Helen (Philip) Anderson of Trevor, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, James (Michelle) Anderson of Kenosha, WI and Tracy (Tom) Moffat of Salem, WI; and a sister, Geraldine Rieck of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Michael and Claire Garrison.
A memorial visitation will be held for Allene Garrison from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 followed by a memorial service at 7 P.M. at the SALATA GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL.

Charles J. Kriston, 54, of Kenosha, formerly of Zion, died
November 4, 2001 in North Chicago.
Charles was born
March 31, 1947 in Chicago and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School. He was a Vietnam veteran.
Charles is survived by two children, Charles Kriston, Jr. of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Gary Davidson of Gurnee, Illinois; his mother and father, Jacob and Helen Kriston of Zion; and brothers and sisters, Rita (Ronnie) Witt of Kenosha, Henry of Zion, Michael (Sue) of Kenosha, Paul of Kenosha, Joseph (Debbie) of Phoenix and Frank of Kenosha. He was preceded in death
by a granddaughter, Savanna; and a sister, Anna.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at 8 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will be private. Visitation after 6 PM Wednesday.
William L. Leitl
William L. Leitl, 65 years old of Antioch, IL passed away
Saturday, November 3, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL.
He was born
May 5, 1936 in Park Falls, WI the son of Raymond and Theresa (Polacek) Leitl. He had lived in Mundelein before moving to Antioch in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Oklahoma. Mr Leitl had worked part-time for Hallings Marina after his retirement as an electrician with the Milwaukee Road Railroad. His special interests included fishing and pheasant, deer, and duck hunting. On March 11, 1961 he married
Dolores Becker in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife Dolores; two sons, Raymond (Kimberlee) of Huntingdon, TN and Jeffery (Sheryl) of Round Lake Beach, IL; his mother Theresa Leitl of Park Falls, WI; one sister, Ester Smiskol of Grayslake, IL and two grandchildren, James and Karrina.
He was preceded in death
by his father, Raymond and three brothers, Raymond, Robert and Richard.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St., (Rte 83) Antioch, IL. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services.

Helen A. Schober, age 97, of Lindenhurst, IL, formerly of Long Lake, IL, passed away
on Friday, November 2, 2001 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL. She was born
on February 24, 1904, in Savonburg, Kansas, the daughter of the late Sophia and Frank Anderson. She had been a resident of the Pleasant Hills subdivision on Long Lake since 1967. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake. She married
her late husband, Arthur, in Chicago, IL in 1948.
She is survived by her niece, Constance (Paul) McCardel. Also surviving are many dear friends. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Arthur.

on November 3, 2001 at Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, IL. Son of the late Adelaide B. and Col. Davis Wilbur Shoemaker. Richard lived in Greenwich, CT, Winter Park, FL and Highland Park, IL before moving to Oshkosh, WI in 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Wallach Shoemaker of Oshkosh, WI; three children, Richard D. (Betty) Shoemaker of Highland Park, IL, Ann (the late George) Brigham of Bremerton, WA and David (Wendy) Shoemaker of Oshkosh, WI; a son-in-law, Bill Gavin of Palatine, IL; six grandchildren, Dan, Tim and Peter Gavin, Katy Alexander, and Haley and McKenzie Shoemaker.

Douglas J. Hansen, 54 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away
Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the United Hospital System, Kenosha. He was born
February 11, 1949 in Kenosha, the son of Robert and Lois (Rock) Hansen. He was a 1967 graduate of Libertyville, IL High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Doug was a member of the Schultz-Hahn American Legion Post #293, member and Past Commander of the Brandes Memorial V.F.W. Post 8375 and a member of the Volunteer Fire Department all of Silver Lake, WI. He worked for the Eric Bolander Construction of Libertyville, IL and GTE in Silver Lake, WI. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local of Waukegan, IL.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Marie and Jessica Lynn, both of Fairfield Glades, TN, his mother Lois Hansen of Salem, WI, two brothers, Larry (Christy) Hansen of Salem, WI and David (Elisa) Hansen of Trevor, WI, one sister Trina (Eugene) Weis of Union Grove, WI. He was preceded in death
by his father Robert Hansen in 2000 and a sister Roberta Hansen in 1984.

Survivors include her husband, Guillermo Sr.; two sons, Guillermo Jr. and Melvin; her parents, Miguel and Guadalupe Gallegos of Waukegan; two sisters; five brothers all of Waukegan.

Esther J. Mehus
Esther J. Mehus, 91, of Libertyville, IL, passed away
peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at her home. She was born
July 25, 1912 in Portland, ND and had been a Libertyville resident since 1937. She was a graduate of Mayville State University in Mayville, ND and taught school in ND before moving to Illinois with her husband. Esther was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Libertyville, where she had been a member of the Women's Guild, Fishers of Men and a Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are her son John Mehus of Wheeling; granddaughter Cindy (Kent) Dean and her great grandchildren, Deana and Kendal Dean, all of Vernon Hills; her sister Hjordis Staupe of Marysville, WA, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, John and Petra Rye, by her husband Clarence "Clippy" Mehus on May 23, 2001, by her daughter Patricia Gahart in 1958 and by seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Park and Garfield Avenues, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery. John Allen Taylor
John Allen Taylor peacefully departed this life Friday, October 31, 2003 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by loved ones. He was born
on December 25, 1931 in Winchester, KY., to the union of the late Robert Lee and Mable Taylor. He gave his life to Christ at a very early age at Midway Baptist Church in Winchester, KY.
He came to Illinois where he wed the late Lucille Taylor in 1970. While in Illinois, he became a devoted member of the Gideon Missionary Baptist Church. His every action exemplified unconditional love for others.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his brothers and sisters, Louis (Lynnette) Taylor and Melvin (Gloria) Taylor of Waukegan, IL., Claudia Lenyard, Alvin (Joyce) Taylor of Detroit, MI., Rev. Harold (Peggy) Taylor of Winchester, KY., Raymond (Frances) Taylor of Lexington, KY, and the late Robert Taylor Jr., Lowell Taylor and Donnie Taylor. To cherish his memory, Glenda Johnson of Waukegan, IL; his step-children, Paul (Gina) Coke, Mark (Judith) Rainford and Wayne (Cindy) Peart of Waukegan, IL., and the late Wynnette Hawkins; grandchildren, Christopher, Gillian, Antionette, Lauren, Tiffany, Dana, Michael and Tanya; and a host of nieces and nephews.
