Doris A. Krul (Caldwell)
Doris A. Krul (Caldwell), of Gurnee, IL, passed away on May 29, 2002 at the home of her son, Thomas J. Krul of Troy, MI. Doris was born in Saracuse, NY, and spent most of her adult life in Waukegan/Gurnee area. She was a lifetime member and active participant of St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley J. on October 13, 1990.
She is survived by one sister, her children and grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Patrick's, Old Church, in Wadsworth, IL on Saturday June 8, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by PRICE FUNERAL HOME in Troy, MI. Diane Marie Dunn Moehle
Diane Marie Dunn Moehle, 52, of Waukegan, went to God's Kingdom on June 5, 2002 in Chicago. She was born July 18, 1949 in Lake Forest. Diane was a graduate of Lake Forest High School. She attained her nursing degrees from St. Therese Hospital. Diane was employed at Lake Forest Hospital for 25 years and by the Lake County Health Department.
She is survived by her beloved husband John Stephen; her son Stephen Joseph; treasured sister of Mary Ballard of Sulphur Springs, TX, Patrick Dunn of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Maureen Finch of Oak Park and Peggy Sisler of Lake Villa. Diane will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Pauline Dunn and brother Terry Dunn.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2002 at First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Utica St., Waukegan. Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery in Lake Forest. MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF WAUKEGAN is handling arrangements.
Virginia "Lee" Reaser (nee Taylor)
Virginia "Lee" Reaser (nee Taylor), 74, of Gurnee, formerly of North Chicago, died Thursday, June 6, 2002 at St. Therese Medical Center.
She was born July 19, 1927 in Port Deposit, Maryland and lived in Gurnee for the last 48 years and in this area for more than 60 years. Virginia retired in 1995 from Anchor Hocking after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her children, Catherine (Hugh "Skip") McCann of Gurnee, Thomas Gholson of Waukegan, Anita Sibley of Gurnee and David (Kathy) Gholson of Gurnee; eight grandchildren, Christine, Derrick, Nicholas, Kevin, Alexander Caitlin, Joe and Crystal; and two great grandchildren, Miles and Skye.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mayme Taylor; her husbands, Joe R. Gholson and Harold Reaser; and a grandson, Marc Edwards September 13, 2001.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 6 PM at THE SALATA-GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee with interment at Highland Memorial cemetery, Libertyville.

Shirley L. Smith
Shirley L. Smith, 65, of Waukegan, passed away June 4, 2002 at Victory Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 7, 1936 in Libertyville.
Survivors are four children: Debra (David) Hale of Virginia, Hollis (Marie) Higginbottom of California, Michael (Kathy) Higginbottom and Allen (Gail) Higginbottom , both from Illinois; two granddaughters, Michelle and Kelly Higginbottom ; one grandson, Allen Higginbottom ; one great-granddaughter, Sonia; three sisters: Margaret Briggs of South Dakota, Dorothy Feaster of Wisconsin and Ruth Ingold of Illinois; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith, mother and father, Leona and Seymoar Hall, two sisters Ruby and Barbara Jean, one niece and one nephew, Dennis.
Funeral Services are Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 10AM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan, IL. Burial will take place at North Shore Garden of Memories. Visitation will take place at Marsh Funeral Home, Waukegan, Friday 5-8PM and Saturday 9-10AM.
Carol Underwood
Carol Underwood, 67, of Winthrop Harbor, and formerly of Gurnee, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at her home. She was born March 2, 1935 in Chicago, and lived in Winthrop Harbor for the last 7 years. Carol recently worked at Arlington of Waukegan, O.T.B. for the last 12 years, retired in 1990 from Great Lakes Naval Base after 12 years of service, and also drove a school bus for the Gurnee Grade School during the 1960's. Carol also attended the Lakeview Church in Zion.
Carol is survived by her husband, Charles Johnson; 5 children, Thomas Underwood of Obrien, Fla., Judy (Eric) Miller of Woodside, Calif., Lori Hofflander of Zion, Dawn Coyne of Sanibel, Isle., Fla. and Daniel Underwood of Burlington, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers, Warren (Marilyn) Lynch of Arlington Heights, Il., Micheal (Janette) Lynch of New Orleans, La. and Thomas (Dixie) Lynch also of New Orleans, La. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Underwood on April 19, 1982.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 8, 2002 at THE SALATA-GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee. Interment will be private.
Brookie Lee Woods
Brookie Lee Woods, 48, of Zion, IL., passed away on June 2, 2002 at home.
He was born on November 19, 1953 in Lee County, South Carolina. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was employed at Commonwealth Edison Co., Waukegan, IL., for 23 years. He was an avid sports fan and participant in several sports leagues.
He is survived by two sons, Emmet and Garren Woods both of Zion, IL., two grandsons, Taliek and Jai'son; former wife, Karen Lovelace of Waukegan, IL.; his parents, Edmond and Virginia Woods of Columbia, S.C., ten siblings and other relatives and friends. Including a special friend, Jesse Taylor of Waukegan.

De-Jon Charles Burns, 14, was born October 2, 1989 in Waukegan, IL to Dennis Burns and Tambra "Tammy" Lindsey. De-Jon was called home to rest on May 31, 2004. De-Jon was a resident of Round Lake Beach, IL. He was an honor roll student at Magee Middle School in Round Lake Beach. De-Jon had a desire to become an actor or producer.

Elizabeth "Betty" Klema (Streed)
Elizabeth "Betty" Klema (Streed), 79, passed away on June 2, 2004 at Winchester House in Libertyville, Illinois her home for the past 7 1/2 years. She was born to Edwin A.C. and Elizabeth (Jensen) Streed in Waukegan, Illinois on July 15, 1924 and was a life long resident of Lake County. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1942 and obtained her registered nursing degree from Evanston Hospital in 1947. She married
devoted husband Robert "Bob" L. Klema on September 8, 1948 who preceded her in death on January 31, 1995. Betty practiced nursing in Waukegan at the office of R. Robbins, MD and worked as Assistant Director of Nursing at the Terrace Nursing Home. Betty valued her long standing memberships in Chapter AP of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the First United Methodist Church of Waukegan and the Claire Cummings Book Club.
Betty is survived by her daughters Barbara (Robert) Mecca, Kathy (Mark) Hendrickson, grandsons Robert and Matthew Hendrickson; brother Edward (Mary Fran) Streed; sister in law Norma West; nieces and nephews Sally (Rick) Brown, Karen Streed, Laurie (Dan) Coad, Sara (Jeff) Dick, Jim (Chris) Streed and several dear grand nieces and nephews along with many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, and niece Diane (Young) Bamberth.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, 128 N. Martin Luther King Drive, Waukegan, Illinois. Dorothy H. Langhof
Dorothy H. Langhof, 91 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. She was born August 25, 1912 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie (Werner) Hennen. Before moving to Antioch, in 1948, she and her late husband, Felix owned and operated the Princess Pastry Shop in Chicago. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid of the Church, and the AARP. On October 11, 1944, she married
Felix Langhof in Chicago and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1985.
Survivors include her son, Phillip (Janice) Langhof of Antioch, IL; five grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Michael (Jamie), Dena, Michael, and Gail (John); two great-grandsons, Robert and Michael. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2004 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1275 Main St., Antioch, IL with Pastor Gregory Hermanson, officiating. Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch.

Verne Lee
Pastor Verne Lee, 80, of Winthrop Harbor went to be with Jesus on June 4, 2004.
Verne was born July 19, 1923 in Groton, SD to the late William and Grace Lee. He retired from NOSCO after 44 years of service and retired again last year as Visitation Pastor of Lakeshore Tabernacle in Kenosha, WI after 18 years of ministry. He was currently serving as a chaplain in jail and prison ministries, ministering to many nursing homes and to anyone who was in need. Verne loved serving Jesus and caring for people. He was greeted by the Lord with these words; Well done my good and faithful servant.
Verne is survived by four sons, Vernon (Nita) Lee, Timothy (Gail) Lee, Daniel Lee, Robert (Linda) Lee and one daughter, Jana Lee, all of Winthrop Harbor; nine grandchildren, Christian (Lisa), Scott (Melody), Anne, Randy, Melissa (Josh), Mindy (Brian), Jamie, Douglas and Robert; two great grandchildren, Timothy and Ezekiel; and a brother, Roger (Elvie) Lee of Zion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, whom he married
on December 7, 1946 in Zion; a daughter, Constance Irene; a sister, Constance and a brother, Harold.

Tambra Lindsey, was born July 4, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Nathaniel and Betty Lindsey. Tammy was called home to rest on June 1, 2004.
Tammy was a resident of Round Lake Beach, IL. She was employed at the Mallard Ridge Apartments in Lindenhurst for many years.

Elnora Presley
Ms. Elnora Presley was born to Rufus and Lucille Presley on March 26, 1943, in Sledge, MI. Elnora confessed a hope on Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in North Chicago, IL.
Elnora departed this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, IL. Anthony "Tony" Putwen
Anthony "Tony" Putwen, 78, of Zion, died on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion.
He was born October 18, 1925, in Chicago, IL and married
Dorothy Miseska in that city on November 1, 1952. Tony retired as an operations manager for Cotey Office Environments after 25 years of employment. He served in the United States Army in World War II in the European Theater of Operations and was a member of American Legion Post 0865 and the AMVETS. Tony was a loving husband and father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; four children, William Putwen of Zion, Cynthia Stollings of Vernon Hills, IL, Michael (Christine) Putwen of Buffalo Grove, IL and Patrick Putwen of Zion; six grandchildren, William and John Putwen, Brian Stollings, Laura, Amanda and Sara Putwen; a sister, Geraldine Olinski of Odessa, FL; a niece, Christine Heatley of Chicago, IL; and nephew, Edward Putwen of Carpentersville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Anthony and Anna Putwen; a sister, Leona Pagano; and brothers, Edward and Arthur Putwen.

Jessie Louise Sartin
(nee Rogers)
Jessie Lewis Sartin (nee Rogers), born April 4, 1928 in Itawamba County Mississippi, passed away June 4, 2004 at her home in Zion, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Sr., on January 23, 2000.
Jessie and Marvin came to Lake County, after World War II, and remained residents here until 1990, raising a family of eight children. In 1990, they retired to Fulton, MS and remained there until 1999.
Jessie was survived by her sons, Marvin Jr., Kenneth and Thomas, and daughters, Virginia Copen, Sarah Price, Joyce Perry, Linda Haasjes and Connie Anderson, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at 3104 Eshcol Avenue in Zion on Monday, June 7, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Terry M. Boston
Terry M. Boston, 63 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL. He was born January 8, 1940 in Chicago, moving permanently to Antioch in 1961. He was a member of St. Peter Church and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #525. Terry loved boating and golfing and was the owner and operator of Lupa's Resort and Marina in Antioch. On November 11, 1961 he married
Carol A. Lupa in Antioch.
Survivors include his wife Carol, two sons, Michael T. of Antioch and Terrence G. of Spring Grove, IL, his mother Mabel Boston of Daytona Beach, FL, one sister Sally (Bill) Kofl of Wheeling, IL, four nieces, Kim (Steve) Connolly, Michelle (Craig) Dreiling, Natalie Kofl and Lynn (Michael) Grady and seven grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Boston.

Jimmy Doyle Dulaney
Jimmy Doyle Dulaney, 66, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 2, 2003. He came to know the Lord at the age of 17 at a Bible Camp.
Jimmy was born December 13, 1936 in Fulton, Mississippi and came to Zion in 1944. He was a member of Zion Bible Church and he retired in 1997 form Avon Cosmetics in Morton Grove, Illinois after 39 1/2 years.
Survivors include his wife of 44 1/2 years, Wanda; children, Donald (Peggy) Dulaney, David (Kelly) Dulaney and Diane (Robert) Martinelli all of Zion; 11 grandchildren, Kati (fiance, Buddy Hargett), Ryan, Heather, Kyle, Spencer, Amy Joy, Matthew, Heidi, Lyndsey, Collin and Jynell; and a brother, Bobby (Elaine) Dulaney of Waukegan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Dulaney; a sister, Dorothy McDaniel; and by his father and mother, Ralvis and Bessie Dulaney.
