Angelo Robert "Bob" Martinez
Angelo Robert Martinez died May 25, 2002 at his residence of cancer. Born in Waukegan, IL, he moved to Central Florida in 1999. He was employed by Johnson Motors in Waukegan and Walt Disney World in Orlando. He was a member of Moose Club and Eagles Club.
Surviving are his wife, Kit Rose, Waukegan; a son, Robert, with whom he resided in Winter Garden; daughters: Angela (Neal) Nemiro of Orlando, Georgia (Charles) Lukens of Winter Garden, and Joanne Lindsay of Gurnee, IL; two former wives: Nancy Keys-Fletcher of Winter Garden and Mari Kay Froman of North Chicago, IL; his sisters: Irene Farrand and Arlene Maze of Waukegan, Santa Maria (Jim) Benn of Kenosha, WI, Alyce (Paul) Kirkley of Beach Park, IL, and Mary Lou Nelson of Waukegan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Margaret Mitchell Sneddon Larsen
Margaret S. Larsen, a life long resident of Lake Forest, died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock, IL.
She was born on June 28, 1906 in Borgue, Scotland and came to Everett (West Lake Forest) in 1907 with her parents, William and Janet Sneddon and two sisters, Mary and Bessie.
She married
Charles E. Larsen on June 17, 1939 in Lake Forest. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest. Margaret was a primary school teacher in Lake Forest's school system from the 1930's until the 1960's. She earned a teaching degree at what is now Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and also studied at National College of Education in Evanston.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Stephen) Polep of Cary; a grandson, Stephen C. Polep of Hoffman Estates; two nieces, Mary (Mack) Taylor of Lake Bluff and Ann (Harold) Slaight of Omaha; and two nephews, Charles (Jean) Sweningsen of Boulder City and Richard Larsen of Orinda.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and sisters; a niece, Margaret Cooper; and a nephew, Jack Sweningsen.
There will be no visitation. An 11 AM graveside service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2002 at the Lake Forest cemetery, arranged by QUERHAMMER AND FLAGG FUNERAL HOME of Crystal Lake, IL. (815-459-1760).

Victoria P. "Cruz" Ornelas
Victoria P. "Cruz" Ornelas, age 74, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away Tuesday evening, May 28, 2002 at Midwestern Regional, Zion, IL. She was born December 23, 1927, Caldwell, TX.
Victoria is survived by five loving children, 2 daughters, Maria Loza (Serafin) of Winthrop Harbor and Margaret Martin (Bruce) of Australia, 3 sons, Paul Cruz (Corrie) of Beach Park, Robert Cruz (Chris) of Beach Park and David Cruz of Zion; 1 sister, Maria Zepeda of Joliet; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Anthony and Tom Siordia, Paula Proctor, Adam, Justin and Ashley Cruz, Stephenie and Kelsie Martin; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Victoria was a longtime resident of Lilac Ledge in Waukegan and wanted all her friends and family to know how much she cared and loved each and every one of us. She will be missed so much.

Tom Schmidt
Tom Schmidt, 20, of Zion died on Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center, Zion.
Tom was born November 25, 1981 in Arlington Heights and came to Zion in 1990. He attended the Community Based Transition Program through S.E.D.O.L. and he attended Christ Community Church in Zion.
Survivors include his father and mother, Tim and Dee Schmidt; two brothers: Ryan and Matthew; and many other loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion with Rev. Jon Wiziarde officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Onnie Mae Smith
Onnie Mae Smith, age 79, of Duncanville, AL., formerly of Waukegan, IL. for many years, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2002 in Duncanville, AL.
She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Steven) Griffin; three grandchildren, Lawrence Edwards, Iceylene Edwards and Vanessa Edwards; two brothers, Carrie Lee and L.T. Taylor; a sister, Carol Jones and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith and a daughter, Iceylene Fridge.

Harry West
Harry West, age 66, passed away May 28 at Kindred Hospital. He was a former resident of Winter Haven, FL. He attended North Point Community Christian Church in Winthrop Harbor.
He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Lynn (Tom) Stout of Round Lake and Patricia (B0b) Courtney of Winthrop Harbor; his son, Daniel (Soma) Gibson of Zion; a sister, Bertha West of Grayslake; a brother, Vaughn West of Florida; good friends, Rosalie and Roy Newberry; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene West.

Raymond A. Eiden
Raymond A. Eiden, Sr., 88, of Green Oaks, died May 27, 2003 at his home. He was born October 20, 1914 in Chicago and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 18 years. Prior to that, Mr. Eiden had lived in Deerfield for 37 years. He was a 1932 graduate of Loyola Academy. He received his B.A. Degree from Loyola University and his J.D. Law Degree from Loyola University School of Law. He was a former Executive Vice President for Devon Bank of Chicago, and President, CEO and part owner of the Bank of Lincolnwood. In 1979 he became the Chairman of the Board of the First National Bank of Waukegan, which later became the Bank of Northern Illinois, and maintained that position until his retirement in 1999.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Sara), John (Gayle), Raymond Jr., and Mark (Jean); grandchildren Erin (Thomas) VanderVelde, Thomas Jr., Meghan DiLoretta, Keri, John Jr., Kevin, Mark Jr., Wesley, and Elliott; and his great grandchildren, Amy and Erik VanderVelde. He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen (nee Murphy) in 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2003 at MCMURROUGH CHAPEL, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, to St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Richard M. Glogovsky
Richard M. Glogovsky, 71, of Gurnee, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at his home. He was born May 12, 1932 in Waukegan and was a member of A.A.R.P. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church where he had been an usher for many years. In 1991, he retired from McKinney Steel Sales in Waukegan as an office manager.
Survivors include a sister, Joyce Glogovsky of Janesville, WI; two aunts, Helen (Oney) Waggoner of Grayslake and Mary (Raymond) Zaborowski of Bristol, WI; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Ave., Waukegan. Interment is at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Ronald L. Jones
Surrounded by loved ones and close friends at Lake Forest Hospital, Ronald L. Jones departed this earthly life May 26, 2003 on the twenty-fifth birthday of his late son Taree Edmond Jones.
He was born in Waukegan, IL February 1, 1948 to the late Raymond and Hattie B. Jones and had been a life long resident.
While growing up in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, he, along with his family, confessed his belief in Christ on April 21, 1976 under the leadership of the late Reverend J.N. Lightfoot.
He was a 1966 graduate of Waukegan Township High School. In July, under the mentorship of Jack Pierce, he detoured music studies at the University of Southern Illinois Carbondale to enter the field of computer technology at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL where he had been employed for nearly 37 years. He held the position of Unit Director for the Customer Support Center of NETPDTC.
During his teen years and as a young adult, he enjoyed working at his father's business, Ray's Hatters & Haberdashers, Waukegan, IL.
Ronald was the loving and devoted father of Althea (Dr. Ronald) Davis, Madison, MS, Bryan (Beverly) Jones, Wadsworth, IL and Delisa Kelley, Waukegan, IL, dear grandfather of seven: Danielle, Alexandra, Raeven, McKenzy, Yesenia, Chyanne and Zechariah, dear brother of Donna M. Jones, Chicago, IL, Jennifer D. Jones and Gregory L. Jones of Waukegan, IL and Andra C. Jones, Silver Spring, MD. To cherish his memories also will be his great uncle and aunt Ezra and Sarah Banks, Waukegan, IL, great aunt Daisy Johnson, Zion, IL and aunt Irene Jones, Waukegan, IL, uncles John H. Jane A. Kimmel
Jane A. Kimmel was born in South Bend, IN December 8, 1920 and passed away April 27, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Jane Kimmel relocated to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL about four years ago after the death of her husband, but had lived in this area for over forty years. She was an avid golfer and a member of Glen Flora Country Club until 1969, then Knollwood Country Club until 1999. Jane Kimmel had been a Grey Lady at the Great Lakes Naval Base Hospital in the mid-sixties, a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and Scout Leader for the Brownies and Girl Scouts. She had been a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff, IL and the Presbyterian Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
She is survived by her sister Sally Francisco of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, son Richard E. Kimmel of Apopka, FL, daughter Kathleen Roman of Libertyville, IL and three grandchildren Kelly, Wes and Brad.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 244 E. Robert L. Mitchell
Bob has left this world for another. He passed on May 27, 2003. In Bob's words, "When I leave, I will be leaving the most beautiful, wonderful family a man could have." His family, left to pray for him, includes Bob's wife, Jean (Moreau) of 53 years; three beautiful daughters and their families: Bonnie Jean Willms and her twins Michaela and Nathan; Michelle Marie Hobson, her husband Mark, and their sweet daughter Cassie and son Christian; Risa Lynn Radeke, her husband, David, and their three wonderful children, Kristina, Robert and Amanda. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Augusta and Harry, his brother, Jim, and his sister, Irna.
Yes, Bob did his thing in life. Bob served our country as a staff sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division. Those who knew Bob well loved him. He will be watching over you all, from heaven.

Jerry Petruska
Jerry Petruska, age 68, of Lake Villa passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at his home. He was born February 15, 1935 in Waukegan to the late Charles and Josephine Petruska. He served in the Army Reserves and was a retired Research Microbiologist with Abbott Laboratories.
Survivors include a son Robert (Chie) Petruska of Charlotte, NC; a daughter Geri Ann (Mark) Shroyer of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren and many cousins and his special lifetime friends, Ed and Lucy Jurgaitis of Lake Villa.

Peter G. Rebechini
Peter G. Rebechini, 83, of Lincolnshire, IL passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at his home. He was born June 12, 1919 in Chicago, was a former resident of Aurora, living in Lincolnshire for the past 30 years. He was a graduate of Austin High School in Chicago and in 1943, graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was a member of Our Lady of the Brook Parish in Northbrook and retired after 23 years as Vice President of Research and Engineering for the Skill Corporation, later working for Rebechini Studios in Elk Grove Village. Peter was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, hunter, archer, photographer, cyclist, woodworker and had numerous power tool patents to his name. He was also a charter member of the Aurora Sportsman's Club and was a member of Duck's Unlimited and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are three children, Helene (Stephen) Zasadny of Lemont, Janice (Anthony) Lucente of Vernon Hills and Peter (Patty) Rebechini of Cedar Park, TX; and three grandchildren, Eric, Nathan and Amy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guido and Rina Rebechini; by his first wife, Marie in 1994; his second wife, Mary in 2002; and by his brother, Ferdinand.
Prayers will begin at 10 AM Monday, at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville and services will continue to Our Lady of the Brook Church for Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Katherine is survived by her children Mary Teachman of Columbia, MD, Martin (Betty) Thompson of Williamsburg, Iowa, Sue Lloyd, James (Connie) Thompson, Karen Thompson all of Grayslake, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffry, and children Robert Lloyd, Jerry Thompson and LaVerne Thompson.

Paul R. Vargas, 71, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at home. He was born on January 8, 1932 in Waukegan, IL. Paul worked at Ammco Tools of North Chicago for 35 years as a set-up man.
Survivors include his wife Suzanne (nee Wilkins); one son John (Debra) of Waukegan, IL; three daughters, Jeanne Marie of Salem, WI, Julie (Steve) Crye of Zion, IL, and Jennifer Castillo of Waukegan, IL; eight grandchildren, John, Ashley and Brittany Castillo, Joshua, Ryan, Nikki and Danielle Huster, and Kristina Muldin; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Loraine Vasquez, Alice Gomez and Mary (Richard) Whittington; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by one brother Leo Vargas, one sister Tina Vargas and his parents Lorenzo and Antonia (nee Rena).

Cecilia C. Villanueva, 68, of Waukegan, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 at her home. She was born December 26, 1934 in the Phillipines and was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's League and San Narciso Educators Association. Cecilia was a teacher.
Survivors include her husband Alexander; two sons, Dean and Adonis; daughter Cecile Advincula, and Alicel; in-laws Joan Marie Fogata, Lourdes Mangohig, Harrison Advincula, and Arnie Reyes; grandchildren Lex Zayron, Magnus Martin, Cecila Joy, Monica Marie, Harrold, Marriane, Faith, Jed Daniel and Gabriel Alexander.

Bartlett H. Albers, 76, of Wadsworth, Illinois passed away peacefully Sunday, May 25, 2003 at his home. He was born September 17, 1926 in Terry, Montana. World War II U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a carpenter contractor and worked many years at Temple Farms in Wadsworth.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan; two children, Linda Crowe of Genoa City, Wisconsin and Michael Albers of Zion, IL; son-in-law, Lawrence Ames of Wadsworth; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Dunn of Gurnee, Tracy and Jeffrey Adams of Wadsworth, Merrill Albers, and Michael Albers Jr. of Zion; a great grandson, Matthew; a brother, John (Maye) Albers of Missouri; a sister, Ann (James Gilligan) of Minnesota. preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Lee Ames; a brother, Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
