Georgette Bouland (nee Hromadka)
Georgette Bouland (nee Hromadka), of Libertyville, IL passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at the Condell Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1953 in Chicago and was a Libertyville resident for most of her life. She was a 1971 graduate of Libertyville High School and had owned and operated several travel agencies in Libertyville, Philadelphia and Australia.
Surviving are her son, Shane Muellemann of Kenosha, WI; and grandchildren, Jonathan and Sabrina; her mother, Patricia Thompson of Libertyville; sister, Pat (Bob) Ross of Grayslake; half brother, George Hromadka of Tinley Park; and nieces, Jamie and Jennifer.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 30, 2003 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 PM on Thursday. Info: 847-362-3009.
Mary Lou (Gerri) Briseno (nee Petkus)
Mary Lou (Gerri) Briseno (nee Petkus), age 68, passed on May 24, 2003 at Fronedtest Hospital, Milwaukee, WI. She was born in Waukegan, daughter of the late Charles and Alice Petkus. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Gurnee, IL. A member and past president of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and member and past president of the AARP chapter of Waukegan. She enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas and loved to entertain with her accordion for family, friend and various functions.
She is survived by her husband, Santiago, a son Robert Morgan of Beach Park, IL, a daughter Sandra Taylor (Robin) of West Plaines, MO, a daughter Mary Rynerson (David) of St. Paul, MN, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Ron Petkus.

Betty B. Cawthon, 74, of Waukegan died on Sunday, May 25, 2003 at her home. Betty was born October 27, 1928 in Harrisburg, Illinois and came to Waukegan in the mid 1950's. She was a former member of Central Christian Church of Waukegan. Betty enjoyed her grandchildren and for a few years had worked with the school lunch program at Hyde Park School in Waukegan.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Gary) Rozewicz of Lindenhurst, Illinois; two sons, Phillip Cawthon and Marc (Gina) Cawthon both of Waukegan; five grandchildren, Todd (Cori) Rozewicz, Amanda Rozewicz, Ben Rozewicz, Danny Cawthon and Gabriela Cawthon; two great grandchildren, Lexi and Madi Rozewicz; and a sister, Della Rae Dempsey of Joliet, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Bryant; and by her parents, Ray and Juanita Beal.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 7 PM at Lakeview Church, 19th and Sheridan Road, Zion with Pastor Les Martin officiating. Private interment will take place later in Harrisburg, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM until 7 PM at Lakeview Church. Kathy D. (nee Upham) Davellis, 38, of Twin Lakes, WI passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha after courageously fighting cancer for a year and a half. She was born in Waukegan to Oliver and Katherine Upham on March 1, 1965.
She attended grade schools in Lindenhurst and Waukegan and Waukegan West High School. Kathy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She worked as a traffic coordinator at Derse Exhibits in Waukegan, where she was surrounded by many supportive co-workers.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Michelle Pietschman, Jessica Pietschman and Mary Davellis; her granddaughter, Monica Madden; her parents Oliver and Betty Upham of Waukegan; brothers, Rich (Judy) Upham of Hailey, ID, Joe (Lynette) Upham of Pleasant Prairie, WI; sister, Kristi (John) Haley of Antioch and other relatives and loved ones including Tom and Paula Davellis of Waukegan. She will be missed as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine and her grandparents.

Marcelline "Marcy" DeMasters, age 73, of Foley, AL and formerly of Waukegan, IL passed away May 25, 2003 at home. She was born February 20, 1930 in Waukegan, IL. She retired as the vice president of the Bank of Waukegan after 21 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband Lee DeMasters of Foley, AL, one daughter Debbie (Dennis) Thompson of Mundelein, IL, one son Terry Nichols of Wadsworth, IL and his dear friend Carol Koski also of Wadsworth, one sister Nancey Keyser of Lake Geneva, five grandchildren, Lisa, David, Tracey, Tenille, and Charlene and eight great grandchildren. preceded in death by her parents Orlie and Charlene Heinrich, one brother, Arnie Heinrich and a great grandson, Jacob Price.

Linda Darlene Hostetter, 55, of Zion passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Victory Memorial Hospital with her children at her side. She was born September 23, 1947 to Margaret and Dewey Fogarty in Dunbar, Virginia. Linda devoted her life to raising four children and four grandchildren. She also opened her heart and home to many family members and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her husband of 32 years, Eugene L. Hostetter of Zion; four children, Janet F. (Erik) Wallin of Zion, Michael W. (Paulette) Smith of Kenosha, Roger D. Smith of Zion and Mindy M. (Jay) Berg of Grayslake; nine grandchildren, Justin F. (Nicole) Myers of Zion, Trista K. (James) Cooper of Golden, Mississippi, Brandon O. Smith of Zion, Kimberly F. Mathis of Zion, Terrence V. Mathis Jr. of Kenosha, Marisa A. Powell of Beach Park, Brianne N. and Ashley M. Berg both of Zion and Austin L. Woodard of Grayslake; her mother, Margaret (Odell) Smith of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin; three sisters, Bonnie (Dale) Rynearson of Mauston, Wisconsin, Mary (Brian) Turner of LaFarge, Wisconsin and Debra (Stephen) Whited of Salem, Wisconsin; a step sister, Geneva (Dewey) Feltner of Pell Lake, Wisconsin; a brother, David W. Donald R. Jacobs
Donald R. Jacobs, 60, of Green Oaks, IL passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 31, 1943 in Chicago, was a former resident of Niles, living in Green Oaks for the past 20 years. He was a 1961 graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago and a former employee of the Bell & Howell Corporation. Don was an excellent gunsmith, a member of the N.R.A., the Delavan Gun Club, Conservation Club of Kenosha County and a nuisance trapper, often removing wild animals and birds from unwanted areas.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Jacobs; and sons, Douglas and Paul Jacobs all of Green Oaks; his father, Kenneth Jacobs; and sister Kathy (Ed) Kubic, all of Park Ridge. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Jacobs.

Penni D. Nystrom, 38, of Waukegan passed away May 24, 2003 in Waukegan. She was born December 8, 1964 and was a member of Gurnee Community Church.
She is survived by her two children, Thomas and Ashley, her parents, Don and Virginia Pietschman, one brother Donald Pietschman, one nephew, Donald K. Jr., one niece, Miranda, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a God mother, Beverley Shilts.

James T. Parat, 63, of Schaumburg, IL passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at his home. He was born September 14, 1939 in Chicago and had been a Schaumburg resident for the past 17 years. He was a 1957 graduate and lifetime alumni member of Lane Tech High School in Chicago and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim was retired and had served as a financial analyst for IBM for many years.
Surviving are his parents, Bernice and Henry Sentowski of Grayslake; his brother, Ron (Ruth) Parat of Norridge; a sister, Cathy (Andrew) Wilkinson of Loudon, TN; and many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chet Parat; and a sister, Carol Morgan.

Mildred A. Frenz, age 77, of Round Lake Beach, died Friday, May 23, 2003, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born March 28, 1926 in Chicago to Adolph and Hattie (Barbkneiht) Hoffmann.
Formerly of Chicago, she was a resident of Round Lake Beach for more than 40 years. She had been employed by Grieve Corporation of Round Lake for many years.
Survivors include her brother, Charles (the late Viola) Hoffmann of Bloomingdale; a nephew, Philip Hoffmann of Chicago; and two step-daughters, Regina and Moni.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Frenz; a sister, Edna Hoffmann; and a brother, Walter Hoffmann.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at JUSTEN'S ROUND LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 222 N. Rosedale Court (at Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake, IL.

Ron Glaves
Ron Glaves, 82, a resident of McCook, Nebraska and former area resident died on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 in Nebraska.
He was born on February 4, 1921 to Alfred and Selena Glaves.
Mr. Glaves was the former owner of Glaves Heating & Air Conditioning in Lake Forest for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a Radio Operator and Gunner, entering the service October 18, 1942. During his service with the Army, he completed 50 missions in Europe.
Survivors include his wife, MaryLou; 12 children; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Glaves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lillie; three sons, Steve, Clyde and infant son, Daniel.
A Graveside service will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 30, 2003 at Grant cemetery off Molidor Road in Ingleside, Illinois.
