Lorene K. Dick (nee Acker)
Lorene K. Dick (nee Acker), 81, of Beach Park, IL. and Englewood, FL, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at the Terrace North Nursing Home, Zion. She was born June 13, 1922 at the family home in Nazareth, TX. Lorene lived in the Gurnee area since 1953 where she was a den mother for Cub Scout Troop 771 at the Gurnee American Legion, and assisted her husband, Charles, in D & D Construction, building many of the commercial buildings in Gurnee and Lake County. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Wadsworth, and a former member of Gurnee American Legion Auxiliary.
Lorene is survived by two sons, Richard Dick of Zion and Norman (Katherine) Dick of Englewood, FL; a daughter, Michelle (Ed) Eymer of Wadsworth; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was a twin and one of 13 children of James "Andrew" and Katherine Acker.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dick (1988); a son, James Dick (1986); a daughter, Virginia Dick (1961); and her twin brother, Lawrence (1992).
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, May 20 at THE SALATA-GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Friday, May 21, 2004 at St. Patrick Church, Wadsworth. Interment will follow at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.
Fred L. Dix
Fred L. Dix a long time resident of Gurnee Illinois passed away Wednesday May 12th 2004 at the age of 81. He was the son of Frederick H. Dix and Elizabeth Densen Dix. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1942 and married
Ruth Carrico in October of 1942. He served in the Army from November of 1942 till February of 1944. He retired from Johnson Motors in 1978 after working as a machinist for over 34 years. He was an active member of the American Motorcycle Association and the Kenosha Harley Owners Group (Hog Club), and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Fred was born on July 22nd 1922 in Blue Island Illinois and was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Elizabeth, his wife Ruth after 53 years of marriage, two siblings Robert Dix and Lee Grams.
He is survived by his two sons, Ross (Kathy) and Fred (Terri), his brother George (Betty) Dix and his sister Dorothy Elk. He has eleven grandchildren; Patty, Gail, Cindy, Ruth, Rachelle, Kerry, Dawn, Michelle, Jessica, Jason, and Michael, and has 19 great grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial service on Saturday May 22nd, 2004 at the Marsh Funeral Home located at 305 cemetery Road in Gurnee, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 1:00 with the memorial at 2:00. The service will be conducted by Reverend T.M. Carroll. Any donations can be made in his name to the Lake Villa Rescue Squad.
Dianne L. Elliott
Dianne L. Elliott (nee Bouland), 55, of Lake Bluff, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Highland Park Hospital. She was born July 9, 1948 in Chicago, and had been a Lake Bluff resident for the past 32 years. Dianne was a 1966 graduate of Deerfield High School and had been a hairdresser in the Deerfield area. She also enjoyed working with flowers and was a former employee in the floral department at the Treasure Island Store in Lake Bluff.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald Elliott of Lake Bluff; two sons, Ronald (Murphy) Elliott of Mountain, WI, and Jeff Elliott of Lake Bluff; a granddaughter, Veronica; her mother, Roma McGrath of Wonder Lake; a sister, June (Roger) Kurchina of Woodstock; and a brother, Charles A. Bouland of Ingleside.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles V. Bouland; and by her brother, Kevin McGrath.
Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt 176), Libertyville. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in her memory.

Kevin J. Kelly
Kevin J. Kelly, 47 of Duluth, GA, formerly of Grayslake and Lake Villa, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 8, 2004. He was born in Pensacola, FL, on June 20, 1956. He graduated from Grayslake Community High School and attended CLC an the Illinois Institute of Technology. He developed and managed his own company, Warehouse Spectrum, in Duluth. He previously worked for United Conveyer of Waukegan.
He is survived by his son, William Kelly, Chicago; daughter, Jennifer Kelly, Lake Villa; brother, Dennis (Mary) Kelly, Grayslake; sister, Kathy, Gurnee; parents, Dorothy and Earl Kelly, Gurnee; and many other family members and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2 PM, at Trinity United Lutheran Church, 658 Grand Ave, Waukegan, IL.

Frances R. Kmetek, age 89, formerly of Waukegan, IL, was born to Eternal life May 18, 2004 at Franciscan Care, Appleton, WI, where she resided for the past nine years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Rev. Dennis) Marthaler of Brookfield, WI; and one granddaughter, Dr. Joy Cypher (Dr. Bryan Crable) of Westchester, PA.

Dr. Glenn "Fred" Lambert
Dr. Glenn "Fred" Lambert, age 85, of Waukegan, died May 18, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital. He was born November 21, 1918, in Columbus, Ohio.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waukegan. He retired from Abbott Lab as a Research Biochemist from 1946-1989, belonged to The American Chemical Society, Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, a member of The American Heart Association, and a member of American Men & Women of Science. His research led to the formulation of the prostate cancer drug Lupron.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lambert and Susan Johnson; one grandson, Zachary Johnson; one brother, Todd (Mary) Lambert; two sisters, Priscilla Ramsey and Carolyn Chaplin; sister-in-law, Clara Creager; nieces and nephews.

Victor Lindgren
Victor Lindgren, 78, of Michigan/Florida, formerly a long time resident and businessman of Libertyville, died May 13 in Florida. Vic was born February 14, 1926 in Chicago and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his children, Jim (Sue) Lindgren, Dave Lindgren, both of Third Lake, IL, Kathy (Chris) Lindgren Day of Wheaton, and Steve (Cindy) Lindgren of McHenry; his grandchildren, Brian, Bonnie, Erik, Tiffany and Samantha Lindgren, Tim, Tom and William Day; and his brother, Douglas (Donna) Lindgren of Deerfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, of 54 years of marriage who died in 2003.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 22 from 10 AM until 2 PM at McMurrough Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, where vigil services will be held at 2 PM. Earl H. Pegelow
Earl H. Pegelow, 80, of Bristol, WI, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at St. Catherine's Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI. he was born July 27, 1923 in Highland Park, IL and was a former 65 year resident of Prairie View. Earl was the son of a Lake County pioneer farming family and with his late wife owned and operated the Pegelow Family Farm and Grain Service in Prairie View. He was an active member of the Community, serving on the ASCS (Agriculture) Board for 15 years, was a member of the Lake County Fair Board and a 4-H Club Leader. He was also a member of the Lake County Mounted Posse, the Country Corners Square Dance Club and the Voyagers RV Club.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Vicki) Pegelow of Buffalo, MO and Marty (Jackie) Pegelow of Northfield, MN; four grandchildren, Jerry (Molly) Pegelow, Jr. of Ford, Kansas, Kim, Kerri and Paul Pegelow of Northfield, MN; two great-grandchildren, Haylie and Rylie Pegelow; two sisters, Lila Mae Partridge of Mundelein and Anita (Clarence) Billings of Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Cora Pegelow and his wife, Shirley on September 30, 2003.

Eva A. Cervi, 92, Highwood resident for over 75 years, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at Highland Park Hospital.
She was born September 13, 1908 in Mark, Illinois. She was a member of the Italian Women's Prosperity Club, and the Sacred Heart Guild, and a volunteer at the Holy Cross Hospital Auxilary in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Survivors: daughters: Lenore (David) Santi of Northbrook, IL, and Eileen Favelli of Highwood, IL, grandchildren: Jane Santi of Northbrook, Jeffrey (Tammy) Santi of Deerfield, Steven (Patricia) Favelli of Highland Park, Thomas (Georgia) Favelli of Key West, FL., great-grandchildren: Jessica, Jacob, and David Santi, and Keenan James Favelli, surviving of 13 brothers and sisters are Rose Kipp of Highwood, Clallia Bouxsein of Grandville, IL., Emellia Lindstrom of Highwood, Norma Cervetti of Highland Park, and Edward Passini of Little Rock, AR. Bryant Sean Christian
Bryant Sean Christian, age 33, of Zion, IL, affectionately known as "G-Whiz" made his transition from this earthly life to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 16, 2001.
Bryant was born on March 8, 1968 in Zion, IL. His parents, Peter and Doris R. Frierson and family have overseen his battle with Sickle Cell Anemia his entire life. Bryant accepted Christ as his personal saviour at any early age. Bryant graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1986. While in high school, Bryant became the basketball and football manager and was known as "The Gatorade Kid". He was formerly employed at Dave's Barber Shop in North Chicago, and for the past four years at Play by Play Record Shop in Zion.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Peter and Doris Frierson of Zion, IL; a brother, Aaron (Danielle) Frierson of Racine, WI; and a sister, Theresa (Joe) Badgett, Jr. of Lake Bluff, IL; maternal grandmother, Emma Christian of Zion, IL and grandfather, Charlie Frierson of Sumter, SC; two nephews, Darius Frierson and Quincy Brown; a niece, Kahrys Glaspie; three uncles, Dorsey (Pam) Christian Jr. of Park City, IL, Eric (Karen) Christian of Zion, IL and Mantasha Oluwa (Evelyn Kershaw) of Dale City, VA; four aunts, Sharon Thomas of Madison, WI, Deborah Jackson of Zion, IL, Corine (Rev. Beatrice W. Debbs
Beatrice W. Debbs, 68, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 following a lengthy illness. She was born on February 9, 1933 to the late Walker Taylor and Mary White, in Greensboro, Alabama.
She was united in marriage to Jimmy Debbs on March 4, 1953. In 1963, she and Jimmy relocated to Waukegan, Illinois where she joined the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was employed by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she was a Food Service Supervisor for over 20 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Lucinda White of Los Angeles, CA., two sons, Walter (Ressie) of Brighton, AL., and Jeffrey (Samanla) Debbs of Waukegan, IL., ten grandchildren, three brothers-in-law: Sylvester Rhodes of Sawyerville, AL., Louie Spidle of North Chicago, IL., and Joe Brown of Coatopa, AL., eight nephews; seven nieces and a host of relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beaster Rhodes and her dear husband, Jimmy Debbs.

Rev. Lewis R. Doty
Rev.Lewis R. Doty, 89 years old, of Antioch, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, IL. He was born March 7, 1912 in Bronson, Michigan, the son of the late Arza C. and Blanche E (Parsons) Doty, moving to Antioch in 1980. From 1960 until his retirement in 1977, he worked for the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Mr. Doty did missionary work for 12 years in Kenya East Africa. On April 9, 1938, he married
Helen Mae Shriver in Cicero, IL.
Survivors include his wife Helen Mae, 2 sons David L. (Jane) of Antioch and Donald G. of Aurora, IL., 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Paul, Walter, Claire and Leslie and 2 sisters Fern and Lydia.

Gladys Scott Fanciullo
Gladys Scott Fanciullo, 77, a lifetime resident of Lake Forest, Illinois died at home on Wednesday, August 15, 2001.
She was born in Lake Forest on February 15, 1924. She was a former secretary at Deerpath Junior High, retiring in 1986 after 24 years of service. Gladys was a longtime volunteer with the Women's Auxiliary of Lake Forest Hospital (14 years), a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 264, Lake Forest, IL., and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest.
She is survived by her husband Seb Fanciullo, her children Scott (Nancy) Fanciullo of Lake Zurich and Debra (Robert) Gallo of Chantilly, VA., and her grandchildren Derek, Todd and Dustin Fanciullo and Douglas Gallo. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Scott, her brother, George Scott and by her sister Hazel Philip.

Lucy Hughes
Lucy Hughes departed this life on August 9, 2001. Lucy was the only daughter of Perry and Polly Hughes. She was born on December 22, 1906. Lucy had two brothers, William and Wright, both of whom preceded her in death. Lucy confessed religion and claimed Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at the Siloum Missionary Baptist Church in West Point, Mississippi. She worked at the Church and in the Public School System in West Point before moving to Chicago, where she became the faithful and dutiful member of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.
She leaves to mourn her transition five nieces and one nephew, friends and a host of cousins, especially her cousins Mrs. Jean Cunningham and Ricky and Lenora Cobb, who with God's help enhanced her life after she became terminally ill.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2001 with the Wake beginning at 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel at 8243 S. Ella C. Klepper, 89, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 16, 2001 at the Libertyville Manor. She was born Jan. 3, 1912 in Lake Zurich and had been a Libertyville resident for most of her life. She was a former employee of Illinois Bell and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Ella was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Libertyville and she enjoyed her hobbies of playing cards and bowling.
Surviving are her daughter Karyl (Kenneth) Moeller of Libertyville; 2 grandchildren, Konnie (James) Wescott of Shorewood, and Keith Moeller of Glendale Heights; 2 great grandchildren, Jackie and Allison Wescott, 6 sisters, Laura Ferwerdo, Marion Sibley, Esther Strohl, Joan Holub, Annette Jessee and Donna Mischnik and 8 brothers, Fred, Harry,Earl, Elmer, George, Orville, Kenneth and Robert Grever. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha (nee Hapke) Grever and by her husband Earl Klepper on September 16, 1978.
