In his own words, "We, as a culture, pride ourselves on logic, practicality and accomplishment. These aspects, however, are small and painful bits of the human psyche. We dream and fantasize. In shadowy corners lurk old friends even though we might be afraid of them. I love the myths and tales told by old ladies huddled near the old radiator. Electricity has robbed the world of one half of its mystery. Science has robbed us of the reasons for the myth but not the need for the myth. I want to talk to Lilith. I keep searching for something that I know is not there. I fish the darkness."
A memorial service at Christ Episcopal Church, Grand Avenue, Waukegan is planned for late September.
