Millard Saylor
Millard Saylor, 82, of Arlington Heights, IL., passed away Monday, April 16, 2001 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. He was born February 9, 1919 in Middletown, Ohio and had been an Arlington Heights resident for the past 39 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in the Pacific Theatre during WW II and was a retired employee of the Signode Corporation of Chicago and Glenview.
Surviving are 2 sons, Richard (Margot) Saylor of Buffalo Grove and Mark (Sue) Saylor of Arlington heights; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Saylor on February 16, 1999.

Christina Todorovic
Christina Todorovic, 70, of North Port, Florida, passed away Monday, April 16, 2001 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after a seven month illness. She was born June 14, 1930 in Vratare, near Krusevac, Serbia, Yugoslavia, the second of four daughters of Borivoje and Milica Radojkovic. She had lived in Vratare before moving to the United States in 1971, where she was a former resident of Kenosha, WI., Waukegan and Libertyville before retiring to North Port in 1996.
Mrs. Todorovic was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose family was the center of her life. She was also a lifelong member of her local church and her hobbies included gardening and crochet.
Family members include her husband of fifty years, Milivoje Todorovic of North Port; son Dragoljub (Marija) Todorovic of Libertyville; grandsons Milorad and David and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her sister Vera (Toplica) Vasic of Cicevac, Serbia, Yugoslavia.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville, where the Pomen service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Prayers will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by Orthodox services at 11:00 a.m. at The Most Holy Mother of God Monastery, 35240 Grant St., Third Lake, IL. with Bishop Longin officiating. Frank Leroy Weninger
Frank Leroy Weninger, 93 years old, died in his home on Loon Lake in Antioch on April 17, 2001.
Frank was born on November 6, 1907 in Chicago, IL. He was an inventor, designer and engineer for Bell and Howell for over 32 years and his electrical and mechanical genius was responsible for many of Bell and Howell's patents. The Former President of Bell and Howell, former Senator Percy dubbed Mr. Wninger "the Thomas Edison of Bell and Howell". Senator Percy returned from Washington to personally present Mr. Weninger the Pioneer of the Year Award at the Bell and Howell Dinner in 1965. He was also a pioneer in early research and development of Video recording, TV and Movie Cameras. Frank was a devoted naturalist and scientist and a member of the National Geographic Society and the AARP
Mourning his passing are his wife of 26 years, Carol Jean, sons, Frank, Alan (Joanne) and Jerry (Barbara) Weninger and his daughter Janet (James) Buffurine, 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a sister Fern (Richard) Thompson, several nieces and nephews and many many fond friends. Also his four "Canine Children", Sadie, Ginger, Daphne and Keysa, whom he called "His Girls".
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Franz and Anna Christina (Peterson) Weninger, his first wife Lucille, brothers, Edward and Ralph and his sister Genevieve.
A public visitation will be held at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St on Friday, April 20, 2001 from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral Services and Interment will be private.

Lester Ray Yoder
Lester Ray Yoder passed away April 16, 2001 at his home. He was born July 6, 1925 in Wapello County, Iowa. He was married
to Phyllis May Williams of Ottumwa, Iowa for fifty-four years. Lester was a retired semi-truck driver for local contractors. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II as a combat engineer.
One son, Lester Ray Yoder, Jr., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Yoder of Ottumwa, Iowa, three brothers and two sisters preceded Lester in death. He has one surviving brother Marvin Yoder of Grand Prairie, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of Waukegan, daughter Mr. & Mrs. Greg (Kathy) Zupec of Waukegan, IL., a son, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas (Kathy) Yoder of Wheatland, WI., Mr. & Mrs. Al (Edith) Fiore of Crossville, TN., and Mrs. Lester (Donna) Yoder of Waukegan, Illinois.
He enjoyed the company of seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care of MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF WAUKEGAN. Donations may be sent to the Hospice of Integrated Health Services.
Alphonse Alfred Heltman
Alphonse Alfred Heltman, 80, of Winthrop Harbor died on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Evanston-Northwestern Health Care Center, Evanston, IL.
Al was born July 19, 1920 in Toledo, OH. After entering the Navy in 1941 and serving during World War II in the South Pacific he was honorably discharged at Norfolk, VI. He was employed in Civil Service at Great Lakes as a Foreman, retiring after 32 years and was one of the founding members of Winthrop Harbor Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley; three children Rae Deen (Lawrence) Jump of Winthrop Harbor, Kyle (Cheryll) Heltman of Knoxville, TN and Christine Heltman of Winthrop Harbor; three grandchildren Teresa Christine Jump, Joseph Ernest Alfred Jump and Wensdae Marie Heltman; and two sisters JoAnn of Toledo, OH and Eleanor of FL.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Kasper and Cecilia Heltman and by brothers and sisters, Helen, Florence, Virginia, Ray, Clara and Alice.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the CONDDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Rev. Tim Knight officiating. Entombment followed at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion.
Hope Buckner Hinde
Hope Buckner Hinde, 86, a resident of Lake Forest and formerly of Highland Park, IL. She was actively involved in the Cult Awareness Network (C.A.N.).
She was the wife of the late J. Nelson Hinde (1981), mother of John Nelson (Linda) Hinde of Lake Bluff, Marna (Richard) Coleman of Highland Park, Kate (Neal) Shapiro of Wilmette and Faith Freas of Idaho along with eight grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest. Interment will be in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Virginia "Gina" LaMar, 80, of Winthrop Harbor died on Monday, April 16, 2001 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home, Zion.
She was born February 11, 1921 in Harvey, IL and moved to Winthrop Harbor in 1940 from Waukegan. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. She had been employed by V.R. Wesson of North Chicago and later she worked at both S.E.D.O.L. in Gurnee and at the Zion McDonald's as a hostess. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose and the Women's Republican Committee.
Survivors include her children Patricia (Marion) Holcomb-Heiny of Winthrop Harbor and Daniel (Susan) Holcomb of Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren Christina (Riyad) Dodin, Michael (Linae) Heiny, Matthew (Jennifer) Heiny and Mark (Kristin) Heiny; five great-grandchildren Joshua, Emily, Sarah, Trentin and Matthew Jr.; a sister, Mary Mannebach of Winthrop Harbor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Holcomb, by her second husband Joseph LaMar, by her parents William and Sophia Rutkowski, and by her brothers and sisters Edmund, Stephen, Walter and Leo Rutkowski, Helen Bargiel, Gertrude Watson and William Rutko.
Mass of Christina Burial will be Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park with Rev. David Mulvihill officiating. Sonia Matthews
Sonia Matthews, 66 of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, passed away April 15, 2001 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois.
She was born on January 24, 1935 in England and was a member of Joy Lutheran Church in Gurnee. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Bonnie (Ray) Stuehmer, Dawn (Tim) Sargent and Colleen (Brian) Delcorio; 7 grandchildren: Evan (4 1/2); Audrey (2 1/2); Katie (14 mo.); Jason (4); Lauren (4); Derek (2 1/2) and Brenden (8 mo).
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Joy Lutheran Church in Gurnee, with Pastor Jeff Marian officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel cemetery in Troy, Michigan on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Friends may call from 3-4 Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Joy Lutheran Church only. Larry Nixon
Larry Nixon, 67, of Zion, Illinois died April 14, 2001 at the Provena St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, Illinois.
He was born March 11, 1934 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Romeo and Birdie Nixon. He worked for the V.A. Medical Center for a number of years. He also served in the Marines and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict War.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Nita Nixon; a son, Larry Nixon, Jr; and a daughter, Danielle Duty; seven grandchildren; two special granddaughters, Danielle A. Sampson and Tonya Broyles; 12 great grandchildren; an aunt, Tessie Simms; very dear friends, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Holmes and Benny January; and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Birdie Nixon; Leonard and Arthur Nixon.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the BRADSHAW AND RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, Illinois with Pastor David Eikenberry Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, 122 North Utica Street, Waukegan, Illinois officiating. Evelyn Petroshius (nee Howard)
Evelyn Petroshius (nee Howard), 85, of Des Plaines, IL, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL, and Waukegan, IL, died on Good Friday, April 13, 2001 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.
Evelyn was born on June 9, 1915 in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Opus Society of Philharmonic of Boca Raton, FL and received the Hall of Fame Award for the year 1987 for her dedicated service. Evelyn Petroshius was President of the Sea Grape Garden Club of Pompano Beach, FL in 1981. She was also a member of the Pompano Beach Bridge Club and has played bridge for 65 years, and on numerous occasions has played bridge with her husband Raymond Petroshius as her partner. She and her husband Raymond have been married
for 58 years.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond; two sons, John of Skokie, IL and James (Xenia) of Costa Rica; a daughter, Lynn LoPiccolo of Des Plaines, IL; two grandchildren, Michael LoPiccolo of Rolling Meadows, IL and Debbie (Albert) Musillami of Des Plaines, IL; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Howard of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Hazel Petroshius of Gurnee, IL; and many nieces and nephews along with other relatives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Marshall Howard; as well as her parents.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 11 AM at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, 313 10th Street, North Chicago, IL. Interment, Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL.

Evelyn M. Schultz, 62 years old of Gurnee, Illinois passed away Sunday, April 15, 2001 at her home. She was born May 6, 1938 in St. Louis, MO., the daughter of Joseph and Zelia (Thery) Griessler. She lived in Gurnee for 41 years and was a member of St. Patrick Church in Wadsworth, IL.
Evelyn worked for 25 years as an Assistant office manager at Orchard Clinic in Antioch, and was currently working as an investigator for Volkswagen Credit in Libertyville. She enjoyed to fish, clean, cook and work in her flower garden. On May 30, 1958 she married
Ronald Schultz in Chicago, IL., and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2000 in Waukegan.
Survivors include four children: Pamela (Raymond) Richardson of Ingleside, IL., Robin Stephens of Gurnee, IL., Ronald (Laura) Schultz of Waukegan, IL., and Roxanne Hammond of Steele City, Nebraska, her mother Zelia Griessler of Lake Villa, IL., one sister Janet Doucette of Antioch, one brother Joseph (Arlene) Griessler of Batavia, IL., and seven grandchildren: Ambur Stephens, Nichalos, Kristopher and Patrick Schultz, Ian McCown, and Brandon and Shane Richardson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Griessler.

Hazelbel K. Smith, 95, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001 at the Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born May 14, 1905 in Orange, NJ, was a former resident of Evanston and has lived in Libertyville since 1980. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville and a former employee at the Northwestern University Deering Library in Evanston.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara Squires of Evanston and Melinda (Stuart) Howes of Libertyville; 4 grandchildren, Claire (Darin) Minter of Grayslake, Jennifer (Ralph) Hoffman of Lake Forest, Gregory Howes of Batavia and Christopher (Meg) Howes of Downers Grove; 8 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Ray (Marge) Kline of Chatham, NJ and Frank (Minette) Kline of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Buckelew in 1955 and by her second husband Wallace Smith in 1996.

John L. Dobrzenski
John L. Dobrzenski, 43 of Waukegan, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at home.
John was born August 10, 1961 in Waukegan to John and Marilyn Dobrzenski. He was a graduate of Waukegan West High School class of 1979.
He loved to ride his Harley and go fishing at his cabin in Biggsville, Wisconsin, as well as snowmobiling. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was the best Harley mechanic that could be found. He was a mechanic at Mariani Landscaping and previously at Ron and Brian's Suzuki. Friends were always welcome where the beer was always cold.
John is survived by his wife, Jennifer whom he married
on April 26, 2000 in Hawaii; his mother, Marilyn; sister, Jody (Jim) Ohlwein; one nephew, James Deadrick; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John; his paternal grandparents, John and Sylvia Dobrzenski; and maternal grandparents, Louis and Marie Kuznik.

Ronald C. "Robbie" Robertson, 75, of Waukegan died on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at home.
He was born May 19, 1929 in Mason, IL, and married
Martha C. "Sandy" Duran, December 14, 1977, in Kenosha, WI. Robbie was a federal employee for 35 years; and then worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He was a proud Mason for 41 years and was a member of the Masonic Scottish Rite (Valley of Chicago); Shrine of Rockford; a former Potentate of Tebala 1994; Court Jester 69; Tebala Motor Patrol; and the Order of the Quetzalcadl. Robbie was also known as "Robo the Clown" in parades. He also was a member of American Legion Post #0281.
Survivors include his wife, Martha "Sandy" Robertson; two sons, Dave Robertson of Rochester, NY and Craig (Julie) Robertson of Chicago, IL; five daughters, Maria Kemp of Indianapolis, IN, Sandra Kemp of Fillmore, IN, Diana Smart of Indianapolis, IN, Judith (Jeff) Henderson of Coatesville, IN and Tammie (Amador) Vasquez of Waukegan, IL; granddaughters, Kelly Robertson, Jamie Henderson, Alexandra Hampson, Angela Hobson; grandsons, Jeffrey Henderson Jr., Elliott Hampson and Donald Bishop Jr.; two great grandchildren; a sister, Janice Dell Resch of Decatur, IL; a nephew, Donnie Resch; and a great nephew, Donovan Resch. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Cheswold and Bertha Robertson; and a brother-in-law, Dewey Resch.
