Walter J. Graham, Jr.
Walter J. Graham, Jr., 76, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Wadsworth, IL passed away Sunday, October 20, 2002 in Lakeland. He was born October 14, 1926 in Chicago, IL.
He worked for the A & P Tea Company for 32 years and later worked for the Berry Tire Company in Libertyville, IL. He was a veteran of World War II.
At the time of his death, Walter left to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Shirley (nee Smith) Graham (passed away March 10, 2004); his son, Corky (Julie) of Palm Harbor, FL; his daughter, Doreen of Zion, IL; four grandchildren, David (Jeri) Graham of Antioch, IL, Matthew Graham of Wintrop Harbor, IL, Erica and Lenny Gajewski of Palm Harbor; three great grandchildren, D.J., and twins Cameron and Cassandra of Antioch; and his sister, Marie (Bob) French of Solana Beach, CA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Graham.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for HE and his wife SHIRLEY A. GRAHAM, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004 at St. Peter Church, 557 Lake St. Antioch, IL. Interment of their cremains will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2004 at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St., (Rt. 83) Antioch, IL.

Willie Graves, Sr.
Willie Graves, Sr., 81, was born June 15, 1922 in McGehee, AR, to Walter and Mollie Graves. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 6, 2004.
He moved to the Waukegan area in 1942. He met and married
Mary Keyes in 1949. To this union three children were born.
Willie was employed at the North Chicago Foundry for five years and at American Motors, where he retired after 30 years of service.
At an early age Willie confessed hope in Christ at True Vine Baptist Church in McGehee, AR. He later united with the Gideon Missionary Baptist Church of Waukegan, IL.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Graves; three children, Willie Graves, Jr. (Althea), Azzlene Graves and Rickey Graves of North Chicago, IL; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Elnora Ervin, Jeanette Haney, and Hazel Dunbar; brothers, Walter Graves, Jr., Pink Graves and Frank Graves.
Funeral services will be on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Gideon Missionary Baptist Church, 1500 Ridgeland Ave., Waukegan, IL with Pastor Wade A. Stevenson officiating. Interment will be at Willow Lawns cemetery, Vernon Hills, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Edward S. Jozefowicz
Edward S. Jozefowicz, 62, of Antioch passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004 at his home. He was born August 7, 1941 in Chicago the son of the late Eugene and Viola (Radawicz) Jozefowicz. Edward grew up in Trevor, WI and has lived in Antioch since the early 1960's.
Before his retirement, Edward was the manager of the Jefferson Ice Station and was a volunteer fireman with the Antioch Fire Department. His special interest was going to the Antioch Library everyday.
Survivors include his three daughters, Bonnie Jozefowicz, Linda (Eric) Proper and Julie Jozefowicz all of Largo, FL; his sisters and brother, Rita (Robert) Smith of Loveland, CO, Victor (Sherrie) Jozefowicz of Carpentersville, IL and Diane Schoenfeld of Streamwood, IL; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chester.
Funeral service with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 at St. Peter Church Antioch, IL. Interment will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens Dundee, IL. Rose A. Keller
Rose A. Keller (nee Knoll), 97, of Beach Park, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at her home.
Rose was born on June 4, 1906 in St. Peter, KS, to Peter A. Knoll and Rosa Vonfelt Knoll and raised on a Kansas wheat farm. She lived in the Waukegan-Beach Park area for the past 73 years. She was the housekeeper at St. Anastasia's Rectory from 1930-1942. From 1942-1945 she worked at the Vascoloy Remet Company in Waukegan. From 1945 until her retirement in 1969 she was a Nursing Assistant at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital and Downey Veterans Hospital.
She graduated from the adult evening school of Waukegan Township High School in 1959. She loved her family, friends and home and her trips back to Kansas to see her relatives and friends there. She was an original Charter Member of Our Lady of Humility Church. She was also a member of the Lake County Homemakers, the Ladies Club of Humility Church and the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. She and her late husband, Edward, were also members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by one sister, Anna Knoll of Victoria, KS; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly but will remember her love and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edward A. Keller; an infant son, Edward Peter Keller; her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2004 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Zion. Interment will follow at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Maxine G. Kennedy
Maxine G. Kennedy, 89, of Zion died on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion.
She was born March 17, 1915 in Smithville, Mississippi and came to Zion in September 1950. She began working for VR Wesson on December 6, 1956 and retired on February 29, 1983. She began working at Zion Hospital on March 6, 1959 until an unfortunate accident caused her to retire in March 1993, at which time she became an avid Quilter.
Survivors include her son, Michael G. (Marilyn) Kennedy of Zion; a grandson, Mike (Diane) Kennedy of Winthrop Harbor; two great grandchildren, Hayley and Savannah Kennedy of Winthrop Harbor; a nephew, J.P. (Angela) Roberts of Las Vegas, Nevada; a great nephew, Jay Roberts of Las Vegas; a very dear friend, Art Fossland of Winthrop Harbor; and many friends that she loved and who loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Gibbs; her mother, Martha Gibbs Ferguson; her step father, S. L. Ferguson; her sister, Marcelle Roberts; and her great nephew, Jeffery Roberts.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 5 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Pastor John Love officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 PM until time of services. Private burial will be held later in Turon, Mississippi. Toris W. "Tory" Lind
Toris W. "Tory" Lind, 89, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2004 in the presence of God and loving family members and friends in Mesa, Arizona at "Morning Glory" Group Home. Tory was born on April 18, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Jenny Lind, and grew up in Gurnee, Illinois with his sister, Hattie and brothers, Oscar and Harry. His mechanical abilities encompassed a total of almost 50 years with Johnson Motors, as well as added years of dedication and service to the Waukegan Sheriffs' Department. After retirement, he continued working part-time at Waukegan Marine, up to the young age of 84. Tory was active in the Shriners' Tabala Motor Patrol and a member of the Masonic Lodge #78.
In addition to his busy work schedule and activities, he worked tirelessly to care for his family with great love and devotion. He was a friend to animals, loved the outdoors, RV traveling, boating and was an outstanding water-skiing navigator and teacher. An eternal optimist, Tory greeted each new day and everybody in it with "Who, me worry?" or a rousing "Rise and shine". His positive mental attitude inspired many who knew him to achieve success in all aspects of their lives. He will be remembered for those "sentimental" teardrops and "special" brand of humor, which warmed hearts, and brought joy to many. He was that rare individual who truly never met a stranger, and always put others' feelings ahead of his own. When Tory came into the room, the sun came with him. All those close to him will smile at the words "I s'pose". He will be greatly missed and eternally loved.
Tory was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle.
He leaves behind his wife of almost 50 years (wedding anniversary, June 5, 2004), Dee; his children, Carol (Dan) Beagan, Raymond (Donna) Lind, Jim (Bobbi) Wigginton, Sandee (Andrew Kaufmann) Stephens, Terry (Jennifer) Lind; grandchildren, Dawn (Steve) Szostak, Kristi (Joe) Belloni, Joel Hockin, Geoffrey (Lindsay) Stephens, Stacey Dee (Nick Sandoval) Stephens, Deanna (John) Eddleman Kristen (Jimmy) Mathenia, Whitney McPherson, Tory Lind; great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Adam, Jeffrey (Szostak), Anthony Onan, Ashli Onan, Jacob (Belloni), Alexandra, Jake (Eddleman).
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on June 4, 2004, 3 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Waukegan. The family would deeply appreciate contributions (may be presented at the memorial) to M.E.D. Gladys L. Stoner
Gladys L. Stoner, 88, of Lindenhurst, IL, formerly of Waukegan, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, IL on Thursday, April 8, 2004. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on February 9, 1916, the daughter of the late Irene (nee Miltimore) and Grover Stoner. She was a long time resident of Waukegan before moving to Leisure Village in Fox Lake where she lived for ten years. For the past two years, she was a resident of Victory Lakes Care Center. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. Gladys was active in the senior centers in Antioch and Round Lake, and was affiliated with the Country Charmers Line Dancers of Antioch. She was a member of the Antioch Moose - Lodge 525 and A.A.R.P. She was retired from Abbott after 42 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Don) Lichter of Salem, WI and Jenny (Hal) Hawkins of Davenport, FL; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sister, Margie Berry of Georgia; and her brother, Dale Stoner of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Stoner.

Barbara J. Biggs
Barbara J. Biggs, age 81, of Waukegan, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2005. She was born on August 6, 1923 in Kellogg, IA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She graduated from the University of Iowa School of Nursing in 1948 and was a Registered Nurse working at both St. Therese Medical Center, Victory Memorial Hospital, Cyclone Fence and International Harvester as an Industrial Nurse. She retired from nursing in 1986 after 38 years of service.
Survived by a son, David (Mary-Frances) Biggs of North Chicago; a grandson, Justin Biggs; a sister, Helen Hunt of Apache Junction, AZ; a brother, Tom (Betsy) Miller of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial Service at First United Methodist Church, Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Betty Jo officiating. Burial will be private.

Dexter Earl Hanson
Dexter Earl Hanson, 63, of Marietta, Georgia, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta. He was born August 24, 1941 in Detroit AL, and was a resident of Winthrop Harbor, IL, for about 35 years. Earl was formerly employed at Warwick Electronics in Zion.
Survivors include a son, Michael W. Hanson of Winthrop Harbor; mother, Stella Hanson; also of Winthrop Harbor; uncle, Oliver Poore of MS; aunt, Vaudeen Edgeworth of Alabama; numerous cousins; and a dear friend, Judy Bussey of Marietta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Hanson; and a son, mark Hanson, both in 2001.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 11, 2005 at 2:00 PM at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Jean Hargraves, 68, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005.

Kenneth A. Shebesta
Kenneth A. Shebesta, 67, of Waukegan, IL passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital on April 6, 2006, and was born January 3, 1939 in Waukegan, IL. He enjoyed winters in Florida, loved to golf and fish, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Judith (Tony) Lukauskas, Patricia Shebesta, Laura Shebesta, Victoria (Alan) Prokopek; sons, Ken Shebesta Jr. and Nicholas (Carla) Tomei; brother, Dan Shebesta; grandchildren, Tony, Jenna, Megan, Tiffany, Jozi, Nicholas, Tye and many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy; parents, Anthony (Dolores) Shebesta; and brother, Don Shebesta.

Carl A. Rozhon
Carl A. Rozhon, 36, a long time resident of Libertyville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 in Chicago. He was born February 22, 1970 in Chicago and was a 1988 graduate of Libertyville HS, where he had been a part of the gymnastics team. He was a former Boy Scout and as a member of the Wilderness Engineers Society, did volunteer work at Camp Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan in Wisconsin. Carl was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Lake County Local #250 for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Pam (nee Gembarski; daughter, Amanda; step-daughter, Tiffany Lewandowski; and son, Carl "CJ"; his parents, Raymond and Jenny Rozhon; maternal grandfather, Trygve (Beverly) Espeland; his sisters, Rae Ann, Denise (Duncan) Ashurst and Shirley; brothers, Bjorn, Nels (Gina); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Elizabeth Rozhon; and grandmother, Elsie Espeland.

Mary Ellouise Scott
Mary Ellouise Scott, 74, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at her son's home in Fulton. She was born January 28, 1932 in Alabama to the late Bill and Mauvelene Shotts Chandler. She worked at Abbott Laboratories in Waukegan, IL, for many years. She moved to Fulton in 1983 and worked at Johnson Murphy She Plant. She was a longtime member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Fulton. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading and flower gardening.
Services will be at 2 PM Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Wilson and Bro. Wallace Strawn officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Scott and wife, Donna of Wadsworth, IL and Bruce Scott and wife, Linda Gayle of Fulton; one sister, Louise Wilson and husband, Bro. James of Fulton; two brothers, James Chandler and wife, Virginia of Fulton, and Billy Ray Chandler and wife, Virginia of Florence, AL; five grandchildren, Brieanna Scott, Andrea Scott, Autumn Scott, Chandler Scott and Ryan Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Scott in 1986; and a granddaughter, Miranda Scott in 1989.
Pallbearers will be Tony Wilson, Adam Palmer, Jim Chandler, Stevie Chandler, Kenny Blunt and Robert Bush.

Esther L. Zwier
Esther L. Zwier, 70, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Evanston Hospital. She was born April 5, 1935 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and had been a Libertyville resident since 1960. She attended Northern IL University in DeKalb and was a former piano teacher in Libertyville. Esther enjoyed her love for music and was a member of the Motet and Chancel Choirs at the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville, where she was also an ordained elder. She was a former member of the Vocalaires, Choral Dynamics and the trio called Two & a Third. She was also a member of the Libertyville Women's Club and a charter member of the Libertyville Junior Women's Club. Esther had been a realtor in Libertyville since 1974, was a graduate of the Real Estate Institute and was a Certified Residential Specialist. She was a member of the Women's Council of Realtors, the Lake County, Illinois and national Association of Realtors, and was employed by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Libertyville.
Surviving are two children, Roxanne (Scott) Zwier-Swanson of Waukegan and Bret (Nicola) Zwier of Lake Villa; five grandchildren, Colin and Evan Swanson, Devon and Jenna Anderson and Beckhan Zwier; three brothers, Reuben and Mort Lightstone, both of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Larry (Mary) Lightstone of Arden, Ontario, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Libbie Lightstone; by her brothers, Harold and Allen and by her daughter, Marcia Anderson in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12 at the First Presbyterian Church, Maple and Douglas Avenue, Libertyville. Edison Holman
Edison Holman, 91, of Fox Lake, died peacefully at Victory Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 7, 2006. He was born on January 10, 1915 in Waterloo, Iowa. He later moved to the Chicago area, where he resided for 67 years. While in Chicago, he worked at North Western Electric Company for many years. He also was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his daughter, Vickie (Irv) Kamieniecki of Beach Park; and four grandchildren, Steve and Heather Kamieniecki and Richard and Raymond Holman; two sisters, Viola and Lucille; and a brother, Ray.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel "Mickie"; a son, Don Holman; and his parents, Harrison and Verna Holman.
Funeral Services will be private for the family.
