Georgine Balmes (nee Billinger), 87, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Rolling Hills Manor, Zion, IL. She was born on June 18, 1915 in St. Peter, Kansas. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son Stephen of Beach Park, IL; 2 daughters Judy (Will) Perkins of Bellingham, WA and Kriss (Kent) McLaughlin of Index, WA; 2 grandchildren Laurellai Lindstrom- (Rob) Noviello and Jennifer (Brian) Jenkinson; 3 great grandchildren, Hannah MacWilliam, Michael Noviello, and Austin Jenkinson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; parents Andreas and Magdelena; 6 brothers, Joseph, John, Paul, Aloysius, Edmund and Andrew; 5 sisters, Barbara, Mathilda, Adolphine, Sister Francis Therese CSJ, and Regina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 11 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 910 14th St., North Chicago, IL. Beatrice H. Cribb
Beatrice H. Cribb, 96, of Lake Villa, IL passed away Saturday, March 29, 2003. She was born January 23, 1907 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Bonde and Hilma (Swanson) Olson. After her marriage to Benjamin Jay Cribb on June 19, 1937, they made their home in Lake Villa. Beatrice was an active member of the Lake Villa United Methodist Church where she organized and directed the children's choir. She was a personal banker at the former Lake Villa Trust and Savings Bank for 19 years. Beatrice served as a Lake County Election Judge for 50 years. At the age of 94, she was honored to be named Lake Villa's Citizen of the Century during the 2001 Centennial Celebration for all her contributions to her community.
Her son, B. Jay (Susan) Cribb, Jr. of Lake Villa and her daughter, Nancy Tesch of Houston, Texas survive. In addition, she is survived by five grandchildren, Beth Cribb of Bayonet Point, Florida, Kevin Cribb of Springfield, Illinois, Valerie (Rob) Mueller of Houston, Texas, Kimberly (Eric) Nessler of Missouri City, Texas and Amy Prochnow of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Abby, Emma and Ben Mueller and Kai Nessler. Beatrice was preceded in death by her brother, Harry B. Olson; her husband, Benjamin on January 21, 1993; and son-in-law, Roger Tesch.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at the United Methodist Church, 110 McKinley Ave, Lake Villa, IL with the Rev. Patricia Allen-Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Angola cemetery, Lake Villa. Margaret I. Fields, 80, of Beach Park, IL. passed away at home on March 29, 2003 after a lengthy illness. Margaret was born July 2, 1922 in Metropolis, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell E. Fields, sister and brother in law Marie and Robert Plonien. Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waukegan. She was retired from Victory Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by six children George Fields of Beach Park, Marie (William) Stanhope of Waukegan, IL, Hazel (Craig) Rudzinski of Waukegan, IL, Lottie (Daniel) Mayer of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Laura (Jim) Abusoud of Gages Lake, IL, James (Amy) Fields of Winthrop Harbor, IL, 22 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren, several cousins and many dear friends.

Debra L. Haywood, age 47, of Kenosha, died Friday, March 28, 2003 at Aurora Medical Center. Born April 13, 1955 in Gronton, CT, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Wood) Hainer.
She attended schools in Connecticut and Illinois. After residing in many locations on the East Coast, she moved to Kenosha in 1998.
She enjoyed knitting, reading, taking motorcycle rides and was an animal lover.
Survivors include her parents: Joseph and Ann Hainer of Kenosha, her fiance: Tom Lopez of Kenosha, a son: Jason Hainer of Kenosha, three sisters: Darlene Hainer of Round Lake, IL, Denise (Charles) Mach of Zion, IL and Diane (Jeff) Myers of Elizabethtown, KY.
A Memorial Service in celebration of the life of Debra will be celebrated on Friday, April 4 at 2 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720-39th Avenue, Kenosha. Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Dorothy Mae Jerikian
Dorothy Mae Jerikian, 65, of Waukegan passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2003 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest.
She was born May 1, 1937 in North Chicago and remained a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church in Glenview. Dorothy graduated with the first graduating class from North Chicago High School in 1955, and retired from County of Lake in September 2002 after 15 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael Jerikian; children, Michael (Sylvia) Jerikian of Grayslake, Christine (John) Lieffrig of Cary and Julie (John) Goodman of Green Oaks; grandchildren, Anahid Jerikian, Stephanie and Sara Lieffrig, Jackson and Alec Goodman; her brother, Michael (Cathy) Daydif of Waukegan; her sister, Sue (Dave) Harvey of Lindenhurst; a sister-in-law, Mary (Harold) Mardoian of Lake Forest; and brother-in-law, John (Ardemis) Jerikian of Vienna, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mae (nee Lindahl) Daydif.

Dorothea Lillian Moyer
Dorothea Lillian Moyer, 96, of Waukegan passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2003 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. She was born July 21, 1907 in Iron Maintain, MI and came to the Waukegan area in 1919 and retired from Ray Cote Accounting in 1974 after almost 30 years of service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Waukegan.
Dorothea is survived by her nieces and nephews, Robert (Linda) Weidman of Grayslake, George (Susan) Freeman of Antioch, and Claudia Petrusky of Waukegan; grand nieces and nephews, Barbara (Bill) Wise of Lake Villa, James (Karin) Weidman of Grayslake, Gerry Weidman of Berkley, MI, Rachel Freeman of Antioch, Kyle Freeman of Antioch and Robert Petrusky of Waukegan. She is also survived by six great grand nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Anna (nee LeClair) Freeman; brother, Robert Freeman; sister, Ione Weidman; brother-in-law, E.A. Al Weidman and sister-in-law, VivaLee Freeman.

Richard Joseph Schrimpf
Richard Joseph Schrimpf, age 23, formerly of Bristol, late of Fox Lake, IL, died suddenly at his residence. Born September 29, 1979 in Libertyville, IL, he was the son of Richard and Karen (Klevgaard) Schrimpf.
While in Round Lake Beach, he attended schools there. At the age of 8, he moved to Zion, IL, continued his schooling, later moving to the Salem area and attended Westosha Central High School. In 2000, he moved to Fox Lake. He was employed as a tree trimmer. As a child, he was active in little league. He enjoyed golfing and basketball.
Survivors include his father: Richard G. Schrimpf of Mangum, OK, his mother, Karen A. Melock of West Columbia, SC, his fiance: Tracie Foster of Fox Lake, IL, five sisters: Kristine Taylor of Ivanhoe, IL, Valerie Schrimpf of Salem, WI, Vanessa (Richard) Bailey of Bristol, WI, Rebecca Taylor of Hampshire, IL and Stephenie Melock of Zion, IL, three brothers: James Taylor of Round Lake Beach, IL, Matthew Schrimpf of Madison, WI and Wesley Melock of Zion, IL, his very special friend and niece: Crystal Hurt of Salem, WI, and his nine special nieces and nephews: Samantha, Richard, Kevin, Joshua, Andrew, Tyler, Cody, Devon and Becka.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Valentine and Margaret Schrimpf and his Godmother: Margaret Wold.

John E. Casey
John E. Casey, 71 of Round Lake passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. He was born in Chicago, July 26, 1932, the son of the late Edward and Gladice (nee Boyer) Casey.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea. He was a volunteer fireman during the late 1960's-70's, and was the former Round Lake Heights Police Chief, during the late 1970s to mid 1980s.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Knox of Colorado, Grace Sakulenzki of Fox Lake, Kimberly Casey of Wauconda, Lisa (Fred) Strantz of Round Lake, Denise Casey of Grayslake, Raymond Casey, Richard Casey, and Nichole Thorne, all of Wisconsin; James (Laura) Zohn, and grandson, John Ryan Casey, who assisted in his care. He is also survived by eight additional grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Patricia Zohn in 2000.
Funeral service is at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment is private. She was a former club manager of North Chicago VFW.

Norma Jean Graves, age 77 of North Chicago, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 30 2004 at home.
She was born March 18, 1927 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Clinton Haynes, Sr., and India (Crothers) Haynes. She was married
to the late Marion Graves. To that union two children were born. Norma Graves was a faithful member of the Israel of God's Church, Racine, WI.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Michael (Beverly) Graves of Racine, WI; a daughter, Deborah Graves Phillips; a grandson, Derrick Phillips; two sisters, Charlotte Wells and Barbara (Robert) Woods, both of Terre Haute, IN; two brothers, Louis Haynes and Clinton (Christine) Haynes, Jr., both of Galesburg, IL; several nephews, nieces, cousins and dear family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Martin George Korjenik, 89, of Waverly, TN, died Friday, March 19, 2004. He was a Navy veteran of WW II.

Sharon E. McGaughey, 45 passed away March 26, 2004 at Desert Banner Hospital in Mesa AZ, after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 14, 1959 in Waukegan, IL.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Waukegan, an avid Cubs fan, and a member of Women of the Moose. She worked for Riley Construction in Waukegan.

Mary Lou Stranberg
Mary Lou Stranberg, 84 went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on March 30, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL.
Mary Lou was born and lived in Waukegan all of her life. She worked at Illinois Bell Telephone as a telephone operator, before marrying her husband, Don Stranberg, in 1942. Later, she enjoyed working at the Hello Dolly Gift Shop as one expression of her many artistic talents. She also volunteered at Victory Memorial Hospital and was a breast cancer survivor of 40 years.
Mary Lou was a generous, prayerful, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She formed a ladies prayer group, which continued over 30 years, interceding for the local church, as well as, missionaries stationed abroad. She also taught Sunday School, child evangelism, and Daily Vacation Bible School.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Stranberg, Sr.; two sons, Don (Pat) Stranberg, Jr., and Ted (Nancy Falotico) Stranberg; two daughters, Joyce (Bill) Koss, and Priscilla (Jon) Krause; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece.
In addition to her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Price, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Margaret Thaxton and her nephew, David Thaxton.
A Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 3rd, at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with the Rev. Don Tremper officiating. Alice Brewer
Alice Brewer, 86, a lifetime resident of the Zion area, died on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion.
She was born November 10, 1918, and was a member of the North Prairie United Methodist Church in Winthrop Harbor.
Alice is survived by various cousins and was preceded in death by her father and mother; Charles and Sophia Brewer.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Rest cemetery, Newport Township, with Pastor Jonathan Singleton of North Prairie United Methodist Church of Winthrop Harbor officiating. Congdon Funeral Home, Zion, is in charge of arrangements.
